Lilth eventually got wind of the ponies making their way to Maud's house. Her tongue flicked idly. A huff left her, and she stayed in her den. Ear pointed towards the entrance and body pointed towards the exit. Glowing eyes piercing the darkness of the den. Her tail slow against the ground. She barely heard the trotting of hooves. She scented the air. Fluttershy.

She saw the light level change, the pony had entered, she used her tail to cover her glowing chest and curled up against the wall to hide, she was no Chameleon Deathclaw, she couldn't quite blend so easily, and if anything the glow from the quantum nuka-cola binge way back only further revealed her... actually she wondered how long it had been. She needed to find out. She also needed not be intruded upon so often... and also find out if others know her kind, just because this town hadn't doesn't mean others are the same. She's making a lot of realizations as the pony slowly closed in.

She closed her eyes, only to barely squint through them, seeing the hooves search around blindly. It confirmed for her at least that ponies couldn't see in the dark all that well. She reached out with a claw, and made a dip in the floor, slowly and quietly, watching the pony almost step in it and heard them squeak at the unexpected drop and turn around. Feeling her way out. Lilth felt only slightly bad. She waited till the hooves retreated before deciding to make her den deeper, a highly compact thick ramp being formed into a large deep hole. She did it slowly, methodically, head always tilted towards the outside. She didn't want to hide but she didn't want to underestimate the ponies, even if their physical strength was far weaker than hers. It wouldn't do to be kicked out of a land that was plentiful of prey, water, and what little company she could stand. And civilization. Civility was kinda important and means she may learn things.

She huffed, pausing a moment when dirt dust went up her nose, then sneezed. Tail thumping the ground a moment. She shook her head, snorting. She heard a group of hooves approaching. She licked her hand, collecting saliva on it, and grabbing loose dirt from her impromptu excavation to coat her glowing markings and whatever part of her skin she could.

She hid against the wall again, this time near the ramp, pressing against the wall and the ramp, in a corner near the exit to hide herself better and give herself the opportunity to exit as fast as possible. She flicked her tongue out. She scented apples, rain, and books. The apple one reminded her of the pony she saw when she hunted the brahmin, several of her non-existent bets were on it being that same orange pony.

She didn't recognize the rain scent. She did however recognize Twilight the Book Horse. She had to stop a grin from forming. She heard them getting close, to her chamber, heard them talking about her.

"We haveta drive 'er out Twilight, we can't just let it murder cows n' ponies willy-nilly, or any other creature fer that matter. What if it was you or me one day huh? It has to go."

"I-I know Applejack, my studying can't be the reason she stays, nor can Fluttershy's need to, I just wish I knew why she did it, prove she even knows what she's doing and it's not ju-just... her being so... violent."

Lilth would've snorted if it wouldn't give away her position. An apex predatorial carnivore, eating meat and flesh?! How dreadfully awful and daunting, how dare nature make such a natural thing?!! She smirked a little. She couldn't help it. But she still didn't snort. She watched Twilight's horn light up, casting light in the impromptu den. She froze solid. Keeping perfectly still.

She was in the shadow of the ramp, one that was rapidly shrinking as they carefully went down the steep incline. She opened her eyes, she spotted the pegasus not looking at her. Everyone in there was facing away from her for now. She slowly got up, as stealthily as possible she hopped up onto the ramp behind them and made her way out of the emergency exit of her den, which was attached to the bathroom pocket. She hoped the smell kept things away. She heard a comment about it vaguely back in the tunnel as she made her way out and started heading off into the woods.

She hated avoiding friendly people but really if they're this worked up over a dead Brahmin she's gonna do her best to not further piss off the main populous that looked to have current reign over the planet. Her tongue flicked once she was out of the hole, head moving up to look around, eyes going to sky after a bit, and spotting the blue horse dashing out of her den's main entrance and into the sky. She moved deeper into the woods. If she can spot it, it could spot her probably... considering her size and the fact the trees are short as hell in the majority of the place... Yeah. Hiding deeper in the forest bordering to rock farm is the best option.

She crept deeper into the woods, still covered in the mud she made. She tore up grasses in large area, letting drool gather in copious amount, dropping it all over the torn turf, and then rolling in it, a freshly applied camouflage of green and brown. She even got it on her feet, sticky leaves, grass, fresh mud, and sticks. She wandered deeper, getting into the darker parts before she rested. She laid flat and still, listening. The blue one took almost no time at all to come darting by and observe around with a squint, she still wondered how these things functioned without properly sized wings, the reminder that magic exist rattled around in her head a moment.

She heard the apple horses hooves rapidly approaching, could tell it was her by scent.

"Rainbow! Ya can't jus fly off like that! What if you got hurt going after tha creature yerself?! Think some sense Rainbow, this ain't like goin' after one of our usual villains, I feel like we could actually get really hurt by this thing."

Rainbow flew down to land in front of Applejack. "Applejack, half the villains we go after could've hurt us, heck, Chrysalis was pretty successful the second and third go in that regard and so was Discord, Starlight was actually kinda deadly and about as powerful as an alicorn, and the Stormking might have actually killed us if he caught any of us since all he wanted was Twilight, we would've been likely literal dead weight. This is an overgrown lizard thing, or probably some old dragon with memory issues about the laws in Equestria, I'm a trained Wonderbolt, a military pegasus, I can handle this stuff Applejack, trust me, they just spooked you real bad by doing the deed in front you, and needs some sense knocked into them."

Applejack shook her head a bit. "Rainbow, me bucking the thing didn't do anything, I'm a farm pony that exercises each and day from dawn to dusk, I have work muscle that can put one of those train-pullers to shame, and it didn't phase it a single time. Our hooves can't to jack-diddly. You flying at it will be like you flying into a brick wall thicker than the both of us Rainbow, that's why we need Twilight or Rarity, heck maybe even Pinkie given her shenanigans. Maud if it comes down to it given she can mow through solid stone unlike me."

"Uuuhhg fine. It's starting to kinda get late anyways, we should regroup and find that thing together then, get food, get rest, then whip out the flashlights to see if we can catch it sleeping then, it does have a den to go back to, according to Fluttershy."

"There's yer head Dashie! Let's go." Applejack smiled lightly at her friend before she started going, eventually going from trot to gallop once Rainbowdash started an impromptu race.

Lilith opened her eyes with a glare in the direction of the two ponies. Maud wouldn't hurt her that's for sure. She's a mostly nocturnal predator. Magic only somewhat works on her. Finally, why the hell do they care so much for a brahim so much? A single one, out of the several that were there that she could've gorged on, and hearing one of them wanted to apparently dive-bomb her, for someone with military training she has no real idea what she's up against. If they knew she was non-sentoent at the time then why not assume an animal attack? Besides, she's not at all like that tiny dragon-lizard at book horse's castle, no spiked spines straight down the back, no, she has giant, sharp, scattered, thick, spikes on her back, giant razor-sharp horns, and a mouth that's stretchy enough to swallow one of these ponies whole with teeth in it made to shear through metal and stone with ease. She waited a bit before she snorted.

She's feeling rather indignant. Very indignant actually. She doesn't know whether to be worried about her wounded pride or the fact she has pride to wound despite the whole of her situation. Perhaps she should be worried of the fact her mental facilities may have checked out long ago and she might just be in a nuke-induced coma while hibernating underground to her death, unable to wake up... she thinks she might just stick with being alive in this world instead of thinking such depressing thoughts.

She would nap where she was, gather her strength, and wait for nightfall, she doesn't necessarily need her strength, but a giant bush moving from the spot it used to be in is a major marker loss and an obvious tell that she was in the area or hidden in it, moving would only be obvious at this time, and by the patrolling pegasi in the skies, it was best not to do so.

She closed her eyes, calmed herself down, breathing slowly and evenly before she dug herself into the dirt and grass a bit, and settled comfortably for a nap. Hoping this was gonna work out okay.

Awakening to the sound of hoofsteps nearby, she dared to crack an eye open, and spotted Maud, with a headlamp and pickaxe on her, headlamp turned on. She let her tongue flick out, only scenting Maud and the fading scents of her friends on her and in the area, no fresher scents of the rest of them. She knew Maud could see her given she was looking directly at her and waving her over.

She scented the air again, didn't smell anything different, and slowly got up from her resting place, eyes roaming around before settling on the retreating form of Maud. She wasn't headed away from the forest, but rather deeper in. She flicked her tongue the entire time she followed, scenting her own scent on the wind, and followed questionably. She slowly roved closer to Maud, looking her over and shaking some of the debris off of herself so she could very gently nuzzle along her side and shoulder before moving away to let her tongue flick out and scent the area, she started smelling fresher scents of the other ponies in the wind, and her own older but much more imbued scent. She started to slowly recognize the area as the place she literally crawled out of. She looked at Maud and tilted her head, watching Maud come up to her and pat her before gesturing for her to get lower. She obliged rather politely and was rewarded with her pulling something out from under a nearby hollow, a large saddle bag, and promptly having it shoved towards her muzzle.

"Take this, I heard what you did and know you don't know any better and can tell from your looks that it's normal for you anyways, the others are pretty riled up now, so I'll distract them while you follow the map elsewhere in the bag, they're determined enough to search Equestria for you since your technically a criminal, so try not to get caught getting out of here." Maud reached out and pet her friend's head and slight muzzle, rubbing behind the horns how she likes it before bending down to boop muzzles with her. She started going towards the hole entrance once her friend opened the map from the saddle bags.

Lilith was highly pleased with this outcome, if not slightly disheartened by her friend's departure. She had a feeling her silence on the matter however would not last too long, so with highly delicate claws she took the map and compass from the bag, took note of it's current tiny magnetic marker on her current location, oriented herself properly, and stowed things away in the bag, looked at the straps on the saddle bag and finding it best to hang it on her back spikes near her waist, and tie it around like a belt. She wiggled her hips, finding it secure enough for a run, then started going quickly, attempting to be quick but still light on her feet, which only partially worked. There were still depressions in the dirt but not as bad than if she were to completely run with wreck less abandon. It was going to be a long trip out, and one of wariness considering her pursuer's alleged determination. Was this a fast development, yes, was it messy, hell yes, was it normal... for her life, one had to be prepared to uproot everything in a moment's notice, so yes. Was this the first time she's been chased across the country, hell no. Oddly enough, she kind of missed it, even if it didn't seem nearly as dangerous or daunting as it used to.
