It was much more of a dubious endevour than she had previously thought. She was not expecting the weird lion-esc creature she was facing off against in the woods. She didn't know too much about that stinger, everything else she couldn't care any less for, but she's seen the damage a radscorpion could do, and the kind of damages Cazadors could do. Just thinking about those bugs made her shudder and made her tail thump against the ground as she circled with the beast in front of her, a group of cazadors could kill a deathclaw, easily, she didn't necessarily want to find out if this thing's sting could inject her with enough poison to do the job of a group of cazadors could do. She hissed at the beast, claws flexing, body rising a bit to make herself more intimidating to the feline.

The fact it charged her instead of stinging her surprised her, but it did not distract her long enough to keep her from immediately pointing her head down and curl in on herself to ram her horned head directly into it's skull with a sickening crack. That beast was softer than she'd thought it would be. She pulled away to let the body slide off of her and thump to the ground, she immediately looked at it's tail, which had thankfully remained limp, if not for the occasional twitch as this beast lost it's motor control, the vestiges of small electrical pulses firing off in the now mashed brain, and pettering out to nothing. She decided to take a bite of the shoulder, tearing through that with ease. She savoured the odd taste, tongue flicking slowly. It was appetizing in the slightest but then again she's eaten worst. She doesn't exactly have to though.

Her eyes roamed to the stinger, and reluctantly she put a hand on it, then with a swift jerk, ripped the tail off, she moved her hand higher up the tail, and ripped the tip off. She may come to regret what she's about to do but for the sake of knowing, she gently and carefully let the tips of her tongue dip into the poison-filled bulb in the tail and take the smallest bit into her mouth. She paused. Waiting for literally anything to happen...

She flicked her tongue out, she couldn't feel her tongue much, and it flopped about more than usual. She pressed the stinger into the beast hide, watching how much is injected upon a small sting and found herself disappointed. It seemed like a mild paralytic at best, definitely numbed the muscles and made them harder to control, could be used as an emergency painkiller, but figuring out a sting from this beast would more just create a puncture wound as opposed to truly kill her with poison made all the adrenaline work-up not worth the energy used. Also the meat tasted horrid, she took another bite of the beast... It tasted worse somehow, she sniffed it, and found it's body filling itself with it's own poison. Deadly to eat in large quantities then.

She kicked the body, then some dirt around it just to cover it up some, and went back to walking, noticing that she was a bit slower and calmer, not as alert. She huffed. Numbing indeed, it's made her slower, but as she walked she could feel it wearing off. She huffed again. It didn't even last that long. She paused, turned back, and took the stinger bulb in hand and drank some of the contents, a larger dosage than just a lick and a bite of tainted flesh, before she quickly started off in the original direction she was going in.

She wasn't passing up the opportunity to get high or numb, if only so her senses wouldn't pick up on every little bit of brush. Now see, that was an annoying thing, in a destroyed wasteland, there wasn't all this brush on her skin, rubbing everywhere, dipping under her scales, leaving pollen and occasionally bugs on her, sometimes even branches stuck on her spikes. In a wasteland she didn't have to deal with her senses constantly on the fritz all because a leaf fell off a tree and brushed her skin. She can deal with it, surely, but it was annoying, and thinking about annoying things, what's the deal with airline food?

She snickered, grinning broadly, and slowly over time shifted into a quadrupedal stance, starting a quick gallop through the odd mix of forest and jungle, mouth open and tongue flapping about uselessly. This felt fantastic, much better than itchy toothpicks. She huffed, the sound coming out along side an odd mix of a growl and deep purr, her tail slid against the ground and her steps fell a little heavier, but she kept going forwards. If anything she picked up speed, grinning a bit broader, tail thumping hard against the ground behind her as she went into a loped run.

She weaved through trees feeling as if she was going for a swim, she knew she was leaving a trail, she knew she was being a bit careless, and she knew she probably left a large trail or destruction, or nearly pristine forest. This wasn't exactly like taking Jet or Buffjet, though, it felt almost similar, not exactly time slowed but goodness does it feel like it.

But like all good drugs it had to come to an end soon and eventually she started tasting the leaves stuck between her teeth and she was able to spit them out, at the cost of finally stumbling and tripping tail-over-head. That definitely shocked her out of it, with a laugh she got up, stretched, and looked behind her, she spotted patches of cleared brush and tress, then denseness, as if she was able to dodge some spots but then obliterated others, that was fun. She snorted, pleased with herself, and looked up, gauging her direction and surprised that she could just keep going forwards. Then again, going in a straight line while on drugs or with broken limbs was pretty damned important in the wasteland so she shouldn't be too surprised, but at the same time, those were rare problems for her. Going to be even rarer now... hopefully.

She shook her head, and decided that if she was gonna run, she might as well not stop, that and she needed something else to wet her appetite other than the disgusting meat of the beast she left behind. Brahmin tasted pretty damned good, and she wasn't exactly above eating anything sentient, though she tried her best to avoid it. Maybe she'd find something new again.

It took a while, scenting the air, trying to find something, and not encountering much of anything at all. The occasional tiny lizard, squirrel, or bird wasn't exactly going to cut it. It took a while of walking before she spotted tracks, scent them however proved futile as they were too old to hold any trackable scent.

She flicked her tongue out, and scented water nearby, she swiftly took a detour and quickly went towards it. A drink sounded great after that drug-induced run and hours of walking to find food. When she found the quite literal river of water, she looked around briefly before dipping her head down and dipping her chin into the water, drinking all she could with a slight purr. Her eyes widened, her stance shifted, and her head was out of the water quicker than she could process what her body was doing, her head turned to the giant crocodile made of stone currently attempting to bear down onto her, jaws open. She shifted back, hopping away from the water and growling.

Looks like she found a meal. She hissed at it, tail raising a bit, and head pointing just a bit downwards to point her horns at the rock-covered creature. She slowly backed up a bit, watching them slowly back up into the water with their mouth open, she waited until they got back in halfway before she stepped forwards, and was quickly rewarded with them launching at her again. This time she ducked under and used her horns to flip them onto their backs, swiftly moving to straddle them. She bellowed low, it mixing with a growl.

There was a pregnant pause from the gator below her and she wondered silently if it was attempting to work some kind of magic. She glared at it, only to be surprised when it vibrated underneath her. She squinted, bellowing again, then promptly realized exactly what she was doing.

Females and male alligators and crocodiles attracted each other by bellowing in the water, and would often flip one another to get in a better position to mate, and would roll in the water once they clamped onto each other. In fact a lot of that would be done in the water, the subsonic base of the bellowing travelled better through water. She felt something start to prod at exactly the correct spot and swiftly disembarked the gator, running with her tail down towards where she was supposed to be going, flushed as all hell and completely forgetting the fact that that creature was supposed to be food. She most certainly wasn't going to be repeating that any time soon... she may be occasionally horny but not that horny. She stuck her tongue out in distaste for a moment before she completely stopped and looked towards a set of mountains, or rather, a large ancient caldera of sorts. She smelled spices, meat, fire in the distance.

She pulled out her map, looked at where she could be, and nodded to herself. Kirin, whatever those were. She could make a stop. Especially for food that won't try to eat her back or try to mate with her... though that last bit was almost entirely her fault... she can't exactly help it if she's seen as ruttable to a crocodile, but she can most certainly help not trying to accidently tempt the poor beast into a lay. Great. Now she feels bad about leaving the thing with swollen internals, the equivalent of blue balls, but on the inside.

She shook it all off, food was on the line, it was getting slightly dark out, shops may close, she has known hunters on her trail, and more importantly she was hungry. She started a rather brisk jog towards the mountains.
