The silence was over bearing as the sounds of falling tears disappeared, loosing myself from the world before. I had found peace… I had found atonement.
"You can rest now, Shinta."
Closing my eyes, I could feel the heavy weight of death holding down; carrying me below to where I belonged for my bloodshed. Yet, I was at peace with myself. Kaoru sat over me, I couldn't feel the tears falling upon my now healed face… healed...
"You can live now, Shinta."
Her hands wrapped around my figure, growing lighter than before. The scent of white plums returned. I have always loved her…missed her…And always will…Tomoe.
