"A what?!" Everyone in the room shouted.

"A hybrid, born werewolf/created vampire." Carlisle explained. "I didn't know this would happen Alex. I would have never done it, had I known. I am truly sorry."

"What does this mean for her Carlisle?" Emmett asked.

"I-I don't know. I'll have to contact someone that does." He was clearly shocked and regretting his decision. This was not suppose to happen, not to her. A hybrid was like training and creating a new born vampire. Problem was they had the ability of a wolf, so it simply made this a much harder task. "Give her some blood."

Edward frowned, but handed a blood bag to Rosaline. The blond vampire gave it to her in a bowl. Alex frowned at the bowl with disgust, yet her stomach was craving it. She fought not to drown herself in it, but the smell was amazing. It was sweet and sour, she had to have it. Pouncing forward, Alex devoured the bowl in less than a few licks. It was amazing, she felt even stronger than before. As she pulled back and licked her lips, Alex felt sick. This was not her. She didn't drink blood. This was not right. Pushing the bowl away, she all but ran out of the house and into the woods. She couldn't be in there at the moment. It was too much.

Carlisle sighed as he heard her run out of the house. Blood mating has never had this out come. Then again a vampire had never been mated to wolf. This was all new to them all and he made it even worse. Grabbing his phone he called a very good and old friend.

'Hello?' The voice replied.

'Damon? It's Carlisle.'

'Ahh Carlisle! What can I do for you?'

'I need your help.'

The man sighed. 'With what?'

'Please just-can you please come soon. I am in need of your help and expertise.'

'I'll be there soon brother.' The man quickly hung up the phone. Mystic falls was not far from their town.

It wasn't long before the 96' mustang to drive up their drive way. Damon and two other people climbed out of the car, it was sunny and they didn't dazzle nor burned which confused the coven.

"Who are they?" Emmett questioned.

Damon laughed as he pulled Carlisle into a hug. "How have you been Carlisle?"

"I've been better." Carlisle mumbled.

"Right, these are my brother Stefan and fiancé Elena." Damon introduced. "Stefan you know Carlisle, but Elena…these are Emmett, Rosaline, Alice, Jasper, Edward, Bella and there daughter Renesme." Elena waved at the coven, but said nothing.

"How are you walking in the sun?" Alice asked.

Damon frowned. "Daylight rings. They allow us to walk around safely."

"Can you not?" Elena asked.

Damon chuckled. "Unlike us they don't burn love."

"Oh?"

"They shine like a million little diamonds in the sun." Stefan answered. Damon cracked a smile, before turning back to the group.

"That is funny to you?" Rosaline snapped.

Damon shrugged. "Yes blondie, I find that pretty funny."

"Watch it bud."

"I mean we are the scariest thing in the night, yet you shine in the sun like fucken glitter." Damon teased. "I mean at least Carlisle here burns in the sun."

"You do?" Edward asked.

Carlisle nodded. "My ring has a spell that allows me to walk in the sun."

"Still doesn't mean you should make fun of us!" Rosaline hissed.

"Listen here blondie, you nor no one is going to stop me from having fun. Now be a good little vampire and back off." Damon was getting pissed already. Rosaline snapped and rushed at him, only be tossed back against a tree. Emmett ran next, to which Damon kicked him back into the house. Damon stopped anyone from attacking next. "Before any of you try any of that, I am older there for stronger than you. Don't get hurt for something you cant beat. Not to mention Stefan here is older than you as well."

Alex had ran until she reached the cliff. Dropping on the edge, she gazed out into the water. She was scared. Not only was she one, but now the other. This made her truly into a monster. What was this going to bring? Thirst? Hunger? Kills? Was her family even save with her near? What if this made her loos control and she ended up hurting someone? Or worse kill? Why didn't she just die! 'Carlisle that's why' her thoughts quickly shirted to her mates. He did it to save her. He did so she could continue to live. He didn't know this would happen. Walking down towards the bank, she glanced at her reflection. Her eyes starting right back at her. No longer where they the same ones as her mother. The golden one glowed with a new sense of power.

She felt stronger and she ran faster, her senses had heighten even more. With a loud growl she took off running. Nothing but a blur of colors surrounded her. The wind parting away as she ran through it. Stopping, she listened. Deer munching on grass, fawns playing and running. A woodpecker pecking on a tree. Mountain lion sleeping under the sun. A this followed by a groan. 'what?' Alex listened closer, frowning as she heard another thud. Taking a whiff of the air, she caught her family's scent and the packs. But also one she had never encountered. With a growl she took off running towards them.

She stopped at the edge seeing three new comers. She could smell the anger and how uneasy they made my pack. In a flash Alex ran forward running through the females leg, tossing her to the ground, followed by jumping against the brown haired male's back and onto the ground. Just then something slammed into her, knocking them both both into the trees. Snarling and snapping she tried to get ahold of him, as his arms wrapped around her body. Alex spotted Carlisle come in a flash, grab the vampire and held him up against a tree by the throat. The man struggled to get him off. Hearing the others approaching, she quickly stood in front of Carlisle, blocking the two vampires from coming near him.

"Touch her again and I will rip you to pieces." Carlisle growled, adding pressure to the man's throat.

"Alright, I am sorry, but she attacked my brother and mate." He gasped.

"You attacked her pack." Edward said, reading her thoughts.

"I said I wa-" He paused, giving Carlisle's hand a tap. "Please?" The vampire fell to the ground groaning. "I said I was sorry, beside you called me Carlisle. And they attacked!" He quickly pulled his finger back, as Alex snapped. "I take it this is the problem you were needing my help with?"

Carlisle nodded. "What happened?"

Carlisle explained everything from the imprint, to Paul's bite, to the blood mating. "Elena can you make sure they stay away? Stef you too." Both vampires nodded. Damon shredded his clothes, leaving him in all but his boxers. "Hugo boss." He mumbled. Closing his eyes, he all but fell to the ground on all four. Only there wasn't a man, but a fully black wolf. Blacker than Sam and much bigger as well. His fangs, claws and eyes were that like Alex's. Only his were red and blue.

"He's a hybrid." Bella said, more than asked.

Stef chuckled. "We all are, except Elena. Damon here is the first hybrid."

'What are you?' Alex growled.

'Same thing you are. Carlisle explained everything, now I don't do the whole emotional speech. So get your ass out of that wolf skin and into the house.' Damon mumbled.

'Excuse me?' Alex growled.

"Listen here lassie, get your doggie butt into the house and shift. Your mate has some explaining to do.'

'Who are you?' Alex asked.

'Names Damon, now can we go inside?' Damon scoffed.

'Yeah.'

After she willed herself to change back, Alex slowly changed. She was just barely trying to come to terms with everything. How can this happen to her? In an effort to save her, Carlisle created a hybrid. She didn't even know as to what this will bring. Lost of control? Blood lust? Un-wanted shifts? Was she going to become a danger to her mate and family? All of those and more questions filled her head, but she had no answers to them. As she walked down the stairs, she caught sight of her family. The 'kids' were watching her weary, not sure on what to say or do. So she gave them a reassurance smile. But Carlisle, well he looked as if someone had kicked his puppy. He wouldn't look at her and he reeked of guilt. Ignoring the new comers she walked over to him and gently took his hand.

Carlisle glanced into her eyes. "I am terribly sorry Alex, I didn't know this would happen." His voice was nothing, but a whisper.

Alex smiled, swallowing the lump in her throat. "You have nothing to be sorry for Carlisle. You saved my life. I am willing to get past anything and anyone to stay by your side. I love you and being this will never change that."

Cupping her jaw, he pulled her into a sweet and short kiss. "We will work this out."

"Of course we will." Alex smiled, taking a seat beside him, she held on to his hand. "So what now?"
