He nodded a grin on his lips. "Yes, that is if you would accept to be my wife." He had little time to react, as she threw herself onto him. Sending him to he ground, kissing him with passion and love. "I take that as a yes?"

"Yes."

Both distracted by their happiness and love, that neither heard the growl coming from outside. Nor the multiple shadows taking off into the darkness of the woods.

Time skip:

Alex's POV:

I sat in front of a mirror as Alice and Rose fussed over my hair. Today was my birthday/coven meeting day. To be honest it wasn't the meeting or that it was birthday party that had me nervous. It was the blood.

Over the past few days I have noticed the power the blood had over me. After a hunt, I focused more on licking the blood than eating the animal. Being what I was I could survive on both blood and meat, but human food was getting unbearable. We are shifters I know that, and although we turn into animals, we don't eat or act like them. The reason I did for so many months was so my pup and I could survive, seeing as I didn't have a pack or home. No need for that anymore, well for Sam that was.

I guess what I am trying to say is that Carlisle and the family were the only ones I know, that eat animal. The rest were on human blood. The thought itself was enough to make my stomach pain for the taste. I knew this was only going to get worse before it could get better.

"Earth to Alex?" Alice whispered, giving a stand of hair a tug. "Still with us?"

I tossed my head back, looking up at both girls. "Sorry, I got lost in my thoughts." Sitting up, I smiled at the beautiful hairdo they did. "Its beautiful."

"Of course it is, I did it." Rose smirked.

Alice focused on doing my makeup. "What were you thinking about? Close your eyes please."

Doing as she ordered, I replied. "Blood." I felt both girls tense. I cursed inwardly at myself. Although they can tolerate some, it still bothered them. "Sorry."

Alice waved it off. "Don't worry about it. Rose why don't you go check if everyone is here, I will make sure your dress is ready."

Getting a kiss on each cheek from both, I sat still. Ever since my change I have noticed a few different things. My heart beat was slower. My body temperature had dropped drastically. My skin had gotten a little paler. My eyes although still violet, when hungry (thirsty) they would change to red. I was faster and stronger. The sun affected her in not way, for that she was glad.

My wolf had suffered some changes as well. She was about an inch or two taller than before. Her claws were larger and sharper. Her canine having grown, she learned that she was able to shrink them back in. They usually came out when she was hungry. Her eyes were two different one violet and the other amber/gold. Her fur although still white, when in the sun it 'sparkled'.

"You look beautiful."

I yelped, having not heard him walk in. "I hate it when you do that."

Carlisle laughed, handing me a foam cup, with a lid and straw. "I know you fed yesterday, but most of the guest will be drinking, and I don't want you to be tempted."

Taking the cup from him, I took a few sips. It wasn't human blood. "Thank you." I could hear the laugher and talking coming from downstairs.

"That sounds like a lot of people."

Carlisle reached over caressing my cheek. "They are all family. Sam is already making friends with everyone. Besides Jacob and the pack are there as well." Giving me a kiss he walked out. "When your ready love."

"Okay." I took a few moments to relax myself. I mean they were all family right? And I was Carlisle's mate, so this should go great. Taking one last look in the mirror, I walked out of the room. I stopped at the top of the stairs, and in that instant all eyes were on me. That is a lot of red eyes. Gripping the railing to insure I did not fall, I looked at the bottom to find Carlisle waiting for me. And just like that all my fears and anxiety was gone. Taking his hand, he held me close.

"Did I say you look amazing." Carlisle gave me a quick kiss, wrapping his arms around my waist.

I couldn't help, but grin. "I believe the word was beautiful."

"Well that too." He walked me to towards the piano, catching everyone's attention. "I want to thank everyone for coming on this special occasion. Today we celebrate the birth of my beautiful mate and fiancé Alex." Everyone clapped and welcomed me, some even came up to kiss and hug me. "Please enjoy yourselves. This is your home as well."

Carlisle grabbed my hand, stopping before a group of five. "Alex this is the Denali coven. Our cousins from Alaska." He pointed to the curly blond woman, she was beautiful even for a vampire. Still her gaze sent chills down my spine. My guess, she was probably turned late 20's or early 30's. "Tanya head of the coven." The next female clearly sister of Tanya. Pale straight blond hair, standing at about 5'8 and equally beautiful. Her eyes were golden, meaning animal blood. With an arm around her waist stood a shaggy dark hair male, red ruby eyes and if not mistaken British. "These are Kate and her mate Garrett." The final two seemed as a couple as well. Both looked Spanish, olive color with their pale skin. The female had dark brown wavy hair, golden eyes and a very gentle look. The male stood tall, with short black hair, olive skin and golden eyes. "Eleazar and his mate Carmen."

I shook hands with the guys, but each one of the woman were quick to pull me into a tight hug. "Its really nice to meet you all, Carlisle has told me a lot."

Garrett patted Carlisle on the shoulder, a smirk on his lips. "I always told you that the day you find your mate, she would be one of a kind."

Carlisle chuckled, hugging me from behind. "That she is."

Kate frown leaning forward, taking a whiff of me. "You smell like lavender."

"No pine trees more like it." Carmen replied.

Garrett scoffed. "More like-" He stopped giving me a strange look.

"Like Kate."

"Me?" The Man nodded.

Tanya shook her head. "Carlisle what is going on here?"

I knew this was going to happen. "Carlisle, not here."

"It's alright Alex. I am sure they will be understanding." He tossed them a look.

The Denali clan, were a bit taken back by the look he gave them. Carlisle was never aggressive, but mess with his family and that would be the last thing you do.

Tanya nodded. "Very well, we can wait."

"Thank you."

The rest of the evening went well. I slipped a few times, having smelled blood and nearly lost control. Other than that, I got to meet all the other clans. Zafrina and Senna from the Amazon coven. Zafrina had the ability to make you see whatever it was she wanted. Siobhan, Liam and Maggie from the Irish coven. Maggie was a living lie detector, she knows when anyone is ever lying to her. Siobhan has the ability to manipulate the outcome of any event, although she says it's not true. Lastly Amun, Kebi, Benjamin and Tia from the Egyptian coven. Benjamin was turned at the age of 15 and has the ability to manipulate the elements. Him and I hit it off real quick.

After the party was over, the Denali and the Egyptian were all that stayed. Carlisle had explained that although they were all friends and family, these two covens were the ones he trusted the most. They were his family too. I stayed beside him at all times, one because they all kept looking at me wired and two, because Garrett was currently drinking a cup of blood. Human blood to be exact.

"I know you all have many questions and I will answer them all, but please first listen to what I have to say." Carlisle pleaded.

Eleazar shared looks with the others, before agreeing. "We are listening."

Carlisle leaned forward, entwining his fingers. "Alex is a born werewolf and she is my mate."

"Werewolf?" Carmen gasped. "Carlisle that is not possible...her eyes, her sk-"

"Please let me finish." Carlisle said. "A few days after she was marked by forced, by another wolf. I...blood mated with her. I did not know of the results to doing that."

"What result?" Benjamin asked.

Carlisle reached for my hand, giving it a squeeze. "Alex is a hybrid. Half werewolf. Half vampire. Born wolf/created vampire."

"Are you insane!?" Amun shouted.

"You have any idea what will happen if this is discovered?! That is prohibited in our world Carlisle! Not only that but you created a hybrid! If the Volturi find out you are dead!"

"How could you do something so stupid Carlisle!" Garrett jumped in.

Having had enough of their accusations and yelling, I stood in front of Carlisle. "That's enough!" All eyes landed on me. "Do not accuse him doing something wrong! Had it been any of your mates in the position, I am sure you would have done the same. Carlisle saved my life."

Benjamin took a step closer. "Why do you smell like earth?"

I rolled my eyes playfully. Of course he would be the one. "What do you smell when you encounter a wolf?"

"Foul." Benjamin replied.

"Wet dog." Garrett gagged.

"Dead animal." Rose added, tossing Jacob a smirk.

"That's why. Being mates with Carlisle has altered your senses towards me. Like I towards you. Each one has a different appealing scent." Taking a seat beside Carlisle, I took his hand in mine.

"Carlisle who knows about this?" Tanya asked.

"Just you and my family. The packs know as well." Standing up, he approached them. "I had to save her. I do not regret what I have done."

Surprisingly Garrett pulled him into a hug. "Didn't I tell you!" That quickly set a mood in the room. The tension was long gone. I suspect though, that it was thanks to Jasper. "One of a kind."

"I suppose there is things she needs to adjust to." Eleazar said.

I nodded. "Yes. I have most of it down, my wolf is the dominate one, but the thirst is still a struggle." Garrett slowly hid his cup behind his back. "You are fine Garrett."

"Its fine. I am not really in the mood of being mauled by a wolf today." Handing the cup to Amun, he smirked.

Carlisle suddenly tensed. "Rose take the girls to their rooms please." Without question she did as told. "We have company." In a flash we were all out on the porch, facing the woods.

"You are trespassing Paul." Carlisle growled.

I could hear the sound of paws stepping over the twigs and grass. And sure enough a large gray wolf stalked out of the woods. Paul's eyes landed on me, when the widen, then narrowed in anger. I could see multiple shadows behind him, hiding in the trees. Paul simply stood there staring at us. He wasn't going to be stupid enough to attack. He was severely outnumbered. Taking a step forward, Carlisle stopped me, pushing me back as he stepped towards the wolf.

"Leave now." His voice was no longer calm and sweet, he was angry. "I will not tell you again." Just as Paul crouched to leap forward, Jacob and his pack flanked Carlisle. He slowly stepped back into the woods, running off with a loud howl.

"Someone want to tell us who that was?" Carmen asked.

"That is Paul. He is in Sam's pack. The black wolf." Alice said.

"What's his problem?" Kate scoffed.

Emmett laughed. "He imprinted on Alex and wants her as his mate."

"Why can nothing be easy with you lot." Tanya grumbled.

"If that wolf knows what's good for him, he will not want Carlisle on his tail." Garrett laughed.

"Why is that?" Jacob asked, walking out from the house, fully changed. Seth and Lia following behind.

Garrett scoffed. "If you saw Carlisle fight, you'd be running with your tail between your legs."

"Don't listen to him." Carlisle said, giving Garrett a look that clearly said to shut up. "Lets get back inside."
