Paul growled, shoving the alpha wolf back. "Never touch me again!"

"Listen here pup, if we are going to do this, we do it my way!" The alpha roared, wrapping his hand around Paul's throat. "Do something stupid like that again and I will personally snap your neck. Understood?" Paul nodded, falling to the ground with a groan. "We need to set this in motion as fast and as discreetly as possible."

Paul stood, rubbing his throat. "What do you have planned?"

"You never take on a coven of vampires. They will kill you in an instant. Especially one as united as this one." Pacing for a few moments, he turned to his pack. "Diego and Bruce." Two dark haired male's stepped forward. They looked no older than high school kids. "Go into town, I want to know everything you can find out about the Cullen's."

"Yes alpha." The each took off.

The alpha turned back to Paul. "What do you know about them?"

Paul shrugged. "They have extended family, cousins as they call them. We met a few. The Amazon coven. Irish coven. Egyptian coven. Denali coven, and the European coven."

"Before we can even think of destroying them, we must first destroy their allies." With that the alpha began to set off wolves in each direction. Each group of ten with a target. "Now we wait."

Paul frowned. "What happens after?"

"I take over this turf and I get my pup. You get your mate and leave." He snarled.

"Take over? My pack has nothing to do with this!" Paul yelled, standing in front of the wolf. "Leave them out of this!" Before he could react, he was swiped across the face and into the ground.

"You are no one to tell me what I can and cannot mutt! I take what I want, from whoever I want!" Stepping on Paul's chest, he leaned down. "Like every other pack, this one will fall as well." Knocking the man out, the alpha ran off. The time to take over was near.

Cullen's:

Alex huffed as she was handed another wedding book. Alice was currently rambling about flowers and the center pieces. Bella and Rose were scamming through the books looking for the perfect dresses. Alex already knew the dress she wanted, now she just needed to find it. The designer was no where to be found and it wasn't on any stores nearby. Who knew weddings were so tiring. All she wanted was to marry Carlisle. Was all this really necessary?

"So bridesmaids?" Alice asked.

Alex shook her head, tossing the magazine onto the table. "No, I was thinking about something else. I thought in having Sam as the ring barrier. Renesme as flower girl, if thats okay with you Bella?"

Bella chuckled. "Of course."

"Oh! We have to get their dresses as well!" Alice squealed, causing Alex to wince at the sound. She had sensitive hearing for crying out loud!

"Alex, what about your dress?" Rose flipped through the catalog, clearly bored as she was.

Alex reached for one of the magazines, flipping it to the page she marked and handed it to her. "This one."

Alice gasped, nodding her head in approval. "Just two problems. Designer is no where to be found. And I can't find that dress anywhere."

"Oh, it's beautiful." Rose whispered. "And don't you worry my wonderful hybrid. I know just the place to get it." Without a second longer, she took off.

Alex frowned. "Where is she going?"

Alice shrugged. "Rose is very well known in the fashion industry. If anyone can find you that dress, it is her."

Alex chuckled. She should get used to how unpredictable things could get around here. "Alright then, what is missing?"

"Decorations, Catering, Invites, The boys tux's, the girl's dresses and…" Bella read off the list. "Oh, the cake."

"So…everything." Alex laughed. "Here how about I take the dresses and tux. I have no vision whatsoever for decorations. As for the invites, I only have a few names."

Alice nodded, bitting her lower lip in a thoughtful look. "Bella, Rose and I will handle the rest."

"Thank you." Alex sighed in relief. If she were doing this alone, she would have gone insane. Grabbing the magazine, she quickly picked out the girls dresses. Proceeding to find the perfect ones for Carlisle and the boys.

Walking into his home, he expected anything, but what he found. Really anything, but this. A werewolf party. Rave. Ball. But, not this. Chuckling, he caught the attention of all three girls. "Do I want to know?" They had Emmet standing on the coffee table-an antic may he add-with fabrics of all colors draped over him. The young vampire was a mess of colors.

Alice waved him off, returning to the torture of her brother. "No."

"Right then, I will just be in my office." Taking one step, he paused, doing an about face. "Alex, can I steal you for a moment?"

Mentally thanking him, she jumped over the couch and into his office. Falling onto his office couch, she groaned softly. "You are a life saver."

Carlisle chuckled. "I thought you might be needing a break." Dropping his bag on the desk, he took his seat next to her. "How's everything going?"

Alex moved to straddle him, wrapping her arms around his neck. Her fingers playing with his hair. "In the last few hours Alice has enslaved us. We have everything picked out, except the invitations and cake."

"Who is invited?" His hands latched onto her waist, as she moved closer to him. Biting back a growl, at the incredible feeling. Although his movement was meant to stop her, he couldn't bring himself to do so.

"The covens, friends of Bella and the others, Jacob's family and pack, a few pack mates and friends I know." Rolling her hips, she hid her smirk at seeing his eyes darken. "And of course anyone you'd like to invite. But a word of advise, do it now. Alice is nearly done with the li-Carlisle!" She yelped when suddenly she was on her back and a very hungry looking vampire hovering over her.

Carlisle leaned forward, leaving open kisses on her neck. "Patience is not one of your virtues."

"Why must we wait until we are married!" Alex growled.

Carlisle pushed himself off her, helping her to sit up. "Just the way I was brought up I suppose. Back when I was a young lad, I was told sex before marriage was a sin. Of course I don't believe that now, but I still hold on to the concept. I do believe waiting will make all that special."

That caught her attention. "Carlisle?"

"Yes love?"

"Tell me about you."

Carlisle frowned. "Myself?"

Alex nodded. "Yes, your parents, family, childhood. I want to know you. All of you. The good and bad. Your achievements and failures. Everything."

Carlisle was quiet for a moment. "Alright." Giving her a soft kiss, he relaxed back into the couch. His arm draped over her shoulder, pulling her close into him. "I don't remember much of my childhood. It has been many years, but I do know I was born in London, I believe around the 1640's. I really didn't keep track back then. My mother died giving birth to me and my father, well he was a good man. He was just…misguided. My father was an Anglican pastor."

Alex frowned. "Pastor?"

"I don't remember his name to be honest." Carlisle whispered. He never admit it, but he felt ashamed at not being able to remember his own father's name. "He and some other pastors led 'hunts' for werewolves, witches and vampires. They claimed they were ridding the world of evil and sin." He scoffed lightly. Something so out of character to him, it caused Alex to stifle a laugh. "Many if not all the ones they killed were innocent." He paused, feeling Alex bury her face into his neck and sigh. The feeling of her lips placing a single soft kiss on his skin, sent chills down his spine.

"If this bothers you we can talk about something else." Alex whispered.

Carlisle smiled softly, entwining their hands. "No, it's alright. All in the past." Waiting until she looked up, he claimed her lips in a chaste kiss, before continuing. "After my father aged, I took over the raids. But, it was just my luck, that I happened to be the one to find an actual coven. They were hiding in the sewers, waiting for nightfall to fall. We were nowhere prepared in taking down one vampire, let alone an entire coven. The entire hunting party was slaughtered, I was able to escape, but not with out some damaged. During the attack, I took a bite on the shoulder. Knowing what my father would do, should he ever find out, I disappeared." He glanced down at their entwined hands, flashbacks of that night came running through. "I knew word of my 'death' would get to him, so I hid in a potato shed. I went through the transformation in there." He chuckled softly.

"What?"

"Just thinking." He paused for a moment, debating if he should speak of his next actions. Actions, that although at the time seemed logic, reminded him of his lowest point. "Alex, when I became this, I fell into a deep depression. I despised what I had become. Because of it, I had to leave everything and everyone I loved. I hated everything I was and for that reason, I tried many times to take my own life. I attempted to drown, poison, stab and shoot myself. When all failed, I locked myself in a basement. Refusing to drink the blood of an innocent. I wanted to starve myself." Alex leaned back, cupping his jaw. Running her thumb gently over his cheek, she pulled him down for a kiss. It wasn't meant to instigate anything, simply show him she was there for him. "After the basement was no longer save for me anymore, I ran into the woods. Found, what I believed an empty cave. Only to find out later it belonged to a cougar."

"Let me guess, it wasn't too happy with a room mate?" Alex chuckled.

Carlisle's chest rumbled under his laugh. "It was also then that I learned I was able to survive off animal blood."

"Wait, so you have never drank human blood?" Now that was a shock.

Carlisle shook his head. "I have only drank from those I have turned. I have drank from blood bags, but only if the occasion calls for it."

"Still, Carlisle, that is amazing." Alex grinned. "No vampire I know has been able to do that."

"Thank you Alex." Carlisle whispered. "It took many of years to achieve my self control. But I wasn't going to let this…hurdle stop me from doing what I have always wanted to do."

Alex leaned back, giving him a slight smirk. "Help people."

"Yeah." He chuckled. "To help people."

"Carlisle have I told you how-"

"Alex!" Both Carlisle and Alex winced at the screeching voice that echoed in their ears. Sometimes having supernatural hearing sucked. Alice ran into the office, clearly forgetting her manners at the moment. And completely ignoring the very intimate position they were in. "Alex!"

"Yes?" Alex stayed where she was, simply turning her head towards the pixie vampire.

"We have a major issue!" Alice yelled.

Carlisle cringed, dropping his head against Alex's chest. "Alice, there really is no need to yell."

"Right, sorry, but Alex we need you. ASAP." Without missing a beat, she left the office. "ASAP!"

Alex groaned/laughed tossing her head back. Carlisle ran his nose up from her chest and over the length of her neck. Stopping right where the shoulder and neck met, leaving a bruising kiss. "Does wanting this to be over and done with make me a bad person?"

"No it does not. I am doing nothing and I want it to end." Carlisle said, although his voice came out muffled.

Alex gripped his hair, tugging at it slightly. It seemed Carlisle knew just how sensitive her neck was. "Can we just grab a preacher and have him marry us, right here right now?"

"Are you willing to face Alice's wrath?" Carlisle teased.

Alex paled slightly, pulling away from him. "On second thought, what girl doesn't want a fairy tale wedding."

"Alex!"

Alex sighed, pushing herself off his lap. "I will be right back."

"I'll be here."

Walking back into the living room, she found Bella laying on the couch. A look of 'Seriously' plastered on her face. Alice was pacing the length of the family room, a look of worry sketched on her face. Where was Jasper when you need him. "What's wrong?"

"Cakes!" Alice yelped. "We have to pick one."

Alex gaped at the vampire. "You pulled me away from Carlisle's lap and wonderful kisses for cakes?" Bella tossed her a look, wiggling her eyebrows.

"I have everything, but the cakes. I need you choose one." Alice sighed.

Alex walked over to the table, eyes widening at the sight of multiple pages open to cakes. "Ah Carlisle!" She was not going to sit there for another five hours, just for cakes.

Said man walked out of the office, but made no move of getting close to the girls. A smart move really. "Yes?"

"Favorite cake flavor?"

Carlisle shrugged. "Red velvet."

"Alice, pick whatever design you want, but make it red velvet." Alex walked over to Carlisle, grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the door. "Now Carlisle and I will be going for a walk. Call me if you need anything else."

"But cell service is spotting in the woods!" Alice yelled after them.

Alex chuckled. "That's the point."

Carlisle laughed, watching her take off into the woods. "How about you go for your run. I will stay back here."

Alex paused, giving him a look. "What?"

"It's okay love, I will be waiting here." Carlisle smiled. "I do not feel up for run."

"Okay, I will only be a moment." Running down to him for a kiss, she took off into the woods.

Carlisle waited until she was too far to hear him. "Coming here was a very foolish thing to do." He growled softly, waring the intruder. "What do you need, Paul?."

Paul walked out from within the forest. Knowing very well he was risking his life, by simply being in the same vicinity as the patriot vampire, he lowered his eyes to the ground and bared his neck. "I need your help."

Carlisle frowned, crossing his arms across his chest. "You attacked me and my mate. Forced your claim onto her. Nearly killed her and you have the audacity to come here and ask for my help?"

Paul flinched at the angry words. Being alone with the vampire, he would have ran off, but he was desperate. "Please Carlisle, hear me out."

"Carlisle!" Bella yelled, running out of the house and onto the porch.

"What is it?"

Alice staggered out towards them, tears rolling down her face. "Our family is being targeted."

Carlisle frowned, taking a step forward. "What are you saying Alice?"

"I just saw it Carlisle. They are being hunted down by wolves." Alive whispered. "They need us."

"Who?"

Alice glanced at him with a look of mixed fear and worry. "All of them."
