Carlisle quickly turned towards Paul, but as such his luck the wolf was long gone by then. With a hiss, he turned back to Alice. "Get everyone together, I am going to get Alex."

"No need." Alex appeared at his side, quickly feeling the tension. "What's going on?"

"Come." Grabbing her hand, he took her into the house. Entering the family room, Alex was surprised to find everyone, even Rose was there. "Alice please tell us what you saw."

"I don't know the whole story, but our cousins are in danger." Alice said.

Emmet growled. "How?"

"Wolves." Edward answered, having read the pixie vamps mind.

Alex took a step forward, placing a hand on Carlisle's arm. "Paul?" Alice shook her head. "What did these wolves look like?"

"I couldn't tell really." Alice said. "It was dark, they will be there by night fall."

"We need to separate." Carlisle replied. "Alice I need you and Alex to stay here and call those we will not be able to reach by night fall." He turned to the others. "Edward, Bella and Jasper go to the Denali clan. Get them back here. The rest of us will be heading for Amun and his family. Alice please call them in advance, let them know we are on our way and to be ready." Alice nodded, running into his office to do as he said. "Alex…"

"I will stay here, not that I am happy to." She smiled. "I also need to speak with Jacob and Sam, let them know what is going on."

Carlisle sighed. "Stay clear of Paul."

"Of course." Giving him a quick kiss, she watched them take off. Letting him go off without her, into a possible massacre bugged her. But she knew very well he could take care of himself, but still. "Alice, I am going to Jacob's." Knowing she would hear her, she took off into the Black's residential.

Time jump:

"I will have the pack go after Bella, make sure they get back here safe." Jacob assured.

"What about Carlisle and the others?" Sam asked. The alpha had joined them after Lia was sent for him. His little problem with Jacob, was not of the importance at the moment. "I can send a couple of wolves to him."

Alex shook her head. "No, Carlisle is probably halfway to Egypt by now. They decided that running would be a whole better." Alex scouted the pack members in front of her, frowning at the one face she didn't see. "Where is Paul?"

Sam shrugged. "I don't know. We had a falling through, haven't seen him since then."

"Alright, listen I don't know how bad all of this is, but I need to warn you now." Alex said. "Jacob, Sam, are you sure you want to get involved? This has nothing to do with either of you."

Jacob smiled softly. "The moment they targeted you, they targeted my pack. I will not let that go unpunished."

"They picked the wrong place." Sam growled.

"We will all stand by you and your pack Alex." Seth stated, earning yelps and hollers from the other wolves.

"Thank you." Alex smiled. "I will be calling in some allies-friends of mine."

"Wolves?" Seth asked.

Alex nodded/shrugged. "Some yeah, but a few are vampires. Old, different vampires."

"Different how?" Sam growled.

"When they get here, you can see for yourself. In the mean time, I am going to go back and call in my backup." She turned toward Jacob. "Renesme is at the house. Stop by later on, she could use the moral support. Sam, when you find Paul, send him to me."

Sam frowned, giving her a 'crazy' look. "Paul goes anywhere near you and Carlisle will tear him to shreds."

"Something tells me he knows more about this than us." Giving them a farewell, she took off back to the house. Spotting Alice in the living room with both girls watching a movie, she slipped into Carlisle's office. First she would need to call the wolves.

'Hello?'

"Derek, it's Alex."

'Alex? This is a surprise.'

"Yeah, I have been meaning to call you, but between Sam and things."

'How is little Sam?'

Alex chuckled, he had been wrapped around her finger ever since he met her. "Doing great, getting bigger. Can't get her to stop shifting."

'Yeah, who else do I know that does that.' Derek laughed. 'A true wild wolf.' There was a small pause, before a deep sigh. 'What's wrong?'

Alex scoffed/laughed. "You know me too well Derek."

'Perks of being an alpha. Now tell me what is wrong?'

"I can't over the phone. I need you to come down here."

'And where is here?'

"A small town, about ten hours from Mystic Falls." Alex mumbled,

Derek hummed, catching onto her words with ease. 'Mystic Falls? I take it you want Elijah to tag along?'

"Yes please."

'Alright, what is the name of the town?'

"Forks."

Derek growled. 'Thats the quilits turf Alex.'

"I know, but they won't cause any trouble. I already talked to them and they know you are coming." Alex assured.

Derek sighed. It was no secret for everyone who knew them, that Derek would do anything for her. 'Very well, I will call Elijah and let him know. We will be there in a few hours.'

"Thank you Derek, see you soon." Hanging up the call, she leaned back with a sigh. She couldn't believe this was actually happening. One thing she was sure of. She would give her life protecting her family and mate. Come who may come, she was going to tear them apart.

"Who is Derek and Elijah?" Alice asked from the living room.

Seriously, she hated super hearing sometimes. "They are…family. Derek is my alpha, well the one I consider my alpha. And Elijah…well he is someone very special to me. He was the first vampire I ever trusted in. Saved my life in multiple occasions. They will be great allies if this thing escalates."

"Elijah?" Alice suddenly appeared in the doorway, a look of both shook and wonder on her face. "Elijah Mikealson, the or…"

Alex nodded. "Yes the original vampire."

"But I-I thought that was a myth." Alice grumbled.

"Really? How did you think vampires were born?" Alex chuckled. "There had to be a first right? Or seven of them."

"I suppose."

"Any word from Carlisle?"

Alice shook her head. "No, but Edward and the others are on their way back with the Denali clan."

"Wolves?"

"Edward said he caught their scent on his way there, but didn't see any." Alice replied.

Alex smiled softly, stiffing a yawn. "The girls?"

"They are asleep in their bedrooms." Walking over to the newly hybrid, Alice guided her up and out of the office. "You are tired, go upstairs and get some sleep."

Alex groaned, shaking her head. "I can't, not until I know everyone is safe."

"I will let you know the second anything changes." Ushering her up the stairs and into her bedroom, Alice made sure she was in bed before leaving. "Don't try getting out of bed, I'd hear you."

Time jump:

Carlisle walked into his home, with Amun and family behind. He could hear his family and the Denali chatting in the family room. Walking into the room, he scouted the room, accounting everyone of his 'children'.

"Edward, everything go alright?" Carlisle asked.

Edward nodded. "We caught their scents, but no sight of them."

"What is going on?" Tanya asked.

"First Alice calls to tell us Edward is on his way to us." Kate said.

"Then we are to pack up and come here." Carmen joined.

"Not to mention the apparent threat of wolves." Garret added.

Carlisle raised his hand, trying to get them to settle down. "I know this is too much to take in right now. And I will explain everything real soon, but we must wait for Jacob and Sam."

"Derek and Elijah as well." Alice added.

Jasper frowned. "Who?"

"Friends of Alex, she called them in." Alice explained.

Garret took a step forward, drawing everyone's attention to him. "How about the rest of the covens? Amazons? Irish?"

"I have called them, told them what was going on." Alice replied. "They are either on their way here or someplace safe."

"Why don't you all go out and feed." Carlisle suggested. "Garret, no feeding in town. There are some blood bags in the office, help yourselves."

"And you?" Benjamin asked, placing a hand on Carlisle's shoulder.

Carlisle smiled softly. "I fed before I left. Alice where is Alex?"

Alice paused from jumping out the window. "Upstairs asleep, I had to practically drag her up there."

With a chuckle, he jogged up towards their room. Slipping in quietly, he stood at the end of the bed. He couldn't help, but watch her sleep. She really was something else. From even before he knew what she was to him, he sensed something. She was strong, beautiful, smart and a curious little thing. Grabbing the towel draped on the couch, he ran in for a quick shower.

The sound of the water running, awoke her suddenly. Taking a quick whiff of the air around her, she was quick to relax. Stretching with a groan, she laid floppy in the bed, perking up at hearing the water shut off. A small smile making it's way on her lips, at seeing him walk out. A towel wrapped loosely around his waist, as he dried his hair with another. This man was not making things any easy on her.

"I can hear your heart racing." Carlisle chuckled, tossing the towel onto the basket.

Alex rolled her eyes. "I wonder why." Jumping off the bed, she walked into the closet. Opening the double doors, she couldn't help but scoff. Carlisle was a simple man who enjoyed the simplest of things, but his closet was filled with every colored suit out there. Grabbing a blue dress shirt and black jeans, Eli held them out to him. "I like this."

Giving her a quick kiss, he grabbed the clothes. "Thank you."

Watching him get dress, she sat back onto the bed pulling a pillow into her arms. "Did everyone get out okay?"

"Yes. Garrett's and Benjamin's clan are here, they went out for a quick hunt. The others are either on their way here or safe house." Carlisle replied, pulling his jeans up. "We still have to explain to them what is going on, but we have to wait for the others to arrive." Putting his shirt over his shoulders, he paused giving her a look. "Speaking of which, who are Derek and Elijah?"

Alex chuckled. Alice just couldn't hold it in. "Derek is my alpha, he took me in when no one else would." Carlisle nodded slowly. "Elijah, well, Elijah is a very close friend of mine. Saved my life on many occasions." Taking in a deep breath, she stopped half way holding in her breath and letting out slowly. "Seriously?"

Carlisle frowned, raising a brow. "What?"

"I have very good sense of smell Carlisle." Alex chuckled. Gesturing him over to her, she helped button up his shirt. "Derek is mated to his real mate. And Elijah is nothing, but a very good friend of mine. He is like my brother." Pulling him down for a small kiss, she couldn't help, but moan softly. "There is no need to get jealous."

Carlisle laughed, cupping her jaw in a gentle grasp. "I know love, but that is never going to change." Giving her a mind blowing kiss, he groaned softly. "Come, the others are back."

Alex walked down to find all eyes on them. Suddenly her stage fear coming back to her. Gripping onto Carlisle's hand tighter, she followed him down the stairs and into the living room. 'God I hate this'. She turned to in time to see Jacob and Sam walk in. Their packs loitering out front, clearly not comfortable in a house filled with vamps. Glancing at Sam, she received a shake of his head. 'Of course Paul would run.' "Alice, the girls?"

"I took them to Bella's father. They took extra clothes, in case they need to spend the night." Alice replied.

"Thank you." Sneaking a glance at the other covens, she swallowed the lump in her throat. "I am sorry you had to come here in such conditions."

Kate crossed her arms across her chest, clearly not happy with the apology. "Why are we here in the first place."

"I will ex-" A deep howl ripped through the forest, echoing in ears of everyone. It was not an aggressive howl or a challenge, it was simply a announcement. One that said they were there. Alex would always know who that howl belonged to. Giving Carlisle a small squeeze on the hand, she ran towards the door. Both packs in front were crouched and growling, ready to defend. "Jacob, Sam, please call them off." Alex ordered. Stopping a few feet away from the edge of the forest, she scanned the area. Trying to find any sign of them. At seeing the dark shadow with glowing red eyes appear, she ran full force into it. Hugging and kissing him non-stop.

Carlisle frowned at seeing such action and affection she had towards the wolf. Regardless of what she had said prior, it still bugged him. "Alex?"

Hearing her mate call for her, Alex was quick to stand and walk back in view of the others. "Right, sorry. Derek come on out please."

Behind her trotted out a midnight black wolf with glowing red eyes. The wolf turned his head towards the woods, giving a small growl. Five other wolves trotted out into full view. A dark brown male, standing just at the right side of the black one. To his left stood a white and vary mixed colored wolf, although he looked on the younger side. Behind them stood a golden male, yellow female and a dark red male. Each with either yellow or blue glowing eyes.

The sound of a car driving up the driveway, pulled everyone's attention. A sleek black and golden Audi appeared, stopping just close enough to cause the packs to jump back. From the passengers side stepped out a beautiful blond female. Her hair in wavy curls, bouncing with each step she gave. A tall, dark haired male dressed in dark gray custom suit stepped out from the drivers side. A small brunette, no older than her early twenties jumping out from the back.

"I am just saying Elijah, if Klaus really loved me he wouldn't act this way." The blond mumbled.

The brunette groaned. "Seriously, stop with the whining."

"He acts this way, because he loves you Rebecca." Elijah resisted the eye roll itching to happen. Instead he turned towards his favorite wolf. "Alex." Pulling her into a tight hug, he sighed. "How I have missed you."

"And I you Elijah." Pulling back, she turned her attention to the blond. "Becca!"

"Mutt!" Rebecca laughed, catching the smaller woman in her arms. "I see you have been busy."

"You can say that." Pulling back from them both, she hugged Allison, before turning towards Derek. "Why don't you all get changed?" Getting a small snarl, they trotted back into the woods. Returning not minutes later in human form. "Alright, come and let me introduce you to everyone." Once they were all settled into the living room, Alex began. "These are Rebecca and Elijah mikealson." She noticed a few of the vamps in the room tense. "Derek Hale, Allison Argent, Scott McCall, Liam, Cora Hale, Peter Hale and Issac Hale." Alex then pointed to her family. "These are Emmett, Rose, Alice, Jasper, Edward, Bella and my mate Carlisle."

Elijah's eyes darken. "Vampire?"

Alex nodded. "Yeah."

"How is that possible?" Allison asked.

"It's not common, but it can happen." Scott replied. "No different than one of us mating with a human."

"It's very different Scott." Derek retorted. "It is something that really shouldn't happen at all."

Elijah took a step forward, only to be stopped by his sister. He sensed something else, something not right with Alex. He sensed it as he was driving up the road and when she hugged him. Something…dark was brewing in her. Something that was never there. "Alex."

"Yeah?"

"Come." Elijah held his hand out to her. Seeing her hesitate, made him frown deeper. She was acting like a submissive vampire would. Her eyes showed weary towards him. "Please." Placing her hand in his, he pulled her towards him. The moment his finger touched the bite on her shoulder, he was burned. With a loud snarl, he glared up at Carlisle. "You blood mated with her?!"

"Elijah…" Before she could say anything, Elijah had Carlisle up against the wall. "Elijah!"

"You have any idea what you have done!" Elijah yelled.

Rebecca was quick to appeared at her brother's side. "Brother, let him go."

"He has placed a target on her back. Sentenced her to a life of hunt. Death." His voice getting deeper and lower as he spoke. His fangs slipped out.

At seeing Carlisle being attacked, all restraint were lost. She felt as if the chains holding her back snapped. Within a blink of an eye, she fell to the ground. Her bones snapping into place as her four legged beast took over. Before anyone could react, Alex pushed Elijah off her mate. Standing on all four, she gave out a loud roar. Clear warning to stay away from Carlisle. 'What he did, he did to save my life. I hold no grudge or resentment towards him Elijah.'

Elijah scoffed, not moving from his spot on the floor. He knew Alex and should he move, he was sure to get a very nasty bite. It would kill him, but he didn't want the headache. "You say that now."

'And I will always say it. He is my mate. I am not going to loose him. If you can not put that aside, then you are…not welcome here.' Alex nearly winced at seeing the look of betrayal on his face. 'Had he not done what he did, I would be dead right now.'

"Look at what you are Alex." Elijah whispered. She was bigger than before, her teeth were larger. Her claws reminded him of tiger claws, long, sharp and black. The tip curled down slightly. Her eyes no longer the same caring and loving ones. The right violet showing her wolf heritage and the left golden announcing the blood sucking monster dwelling inside. The only thing remaining the same was her long silky white pelt. "You are no longer you."

Alex glanced up at her mate, who now stood behind her. Elijah's words were getting to him and not in a good way. 'I am of both of best worlds. Can you not accept me as what I am now?'

Elijah paused for a moment. A small smile appearing on his lips. "You should know better than to ask that. Of course I can."

'Good, now apologies to Carlisle.' Seeing look of defiance, she crouched down and growled. 'Now.'

With a low grumbled, the elder vampire stood and patted himself down. Walking over to Carlisle, he held his hand out to him. "Forgive me. I should have not allowed my control to slip as it did."

Carlisle glared at the man, but took his hand. "Happens."

"Okay now that you two are now the best of friends, mind someone telling me why we were called up here?" Rebecca asked, clearly annoyed at the lack of information. "Anyone?"

"We have a rouge pack coming for all of us." Alex replied, walking back into the living room. She wore some shorts and one of Carlisle shirts, she stole from his office.

"Why?" Issac asked.

Alex shrugged. "I don't know. All I know is that they know about all of us. They knew where our closest allies and family was located."

Derek raised his hand in a 'wait a moment' gestured. "Where did they get this information from?"

"From me." All eyes turned towards the door. Paul stood on the porch, head down and neck bared. Smart move, probably the only reason he wasn't being teared to shreds. "They got the information from me."
