When the soft tapping of shoes was no longer heard, Luna sighed out deeply to herself. "Just 2 more months, then we can be together again. Master Luminos." She said, looking up at a large mural, depicting a young boy giving gifts all over the world, the bright crescent moon in the distance watching over the population like a hawk. "Just 2 more."

North of the land of waterfalls

"Sho! I can see a reef up ahead!"

"Yeah, seems like the Volt guys see it too."

The boat in front of us slowed down significantly and released 2 wooden dinghies over the side of the ship, letting the crew slowly navigate the shallows.

"So, what are we looking for?"

"The dolphins should be trying to go hunting right now. We need to find them and hopefully use one to find the chakra fish."

"Well do you have any diving gear?"

"Pshh, why would I need that?"

"Because we're going to swim."

"Huh? No no no, you're going to swim while I survey from above."

"Hell no! You go get wet!"

"Nuh uh, plus I need to supervise you and stop the hunters."

"I can do that!"

"Well, I can't swim."

"Really?"

"I can, I just don't want to. Have fun kid."

He tapped my back and poured a bit of chakra in, disrupting my flow and sinking me beneath the water. I opened my eyes and squinted at the salty water entering them. 'Stupid old shit, why did I have to go swim!' I groaned, slowly diving down in between some shelves of coral.

I slowly navigated through the reef, scaring several schools of fish and getting stung by no small amount of anemone. That was until I spotted a couple of Volt hunters, holding a net containing a beautiful glowing dolphin.

I hid under some coral and watched them swim away while dragging the dolphin behind them. They resurfaced onto their dinghies, and I ducked behind some rocks to get air in cover.

I watched as they attached a large rope around the tail of the dolphin, hooking it into the flesh at the end. The animal squealed in pain and writhed all over the boat before being wrestled into a grapple by one of the hunters.

They began to talk before the hunter slapped the dolphin's tail with a smirk and threw it into the water, watching it swim away while the rope on their boat slowly unravelled. It certainly wasn't the best strategy, the rope would get caught on things and maybe even rip, but it was just efficient enough that they could probably follow it to the chakra fish.

I dived back into the sea, whipping out a kunai and following along the rope to the tagged dolphin, that was currently swimming frantically through the reef while slamming it's tail into rocks and coral.

I swiped my blade towards the rope and slowly cut threw it in a sawing motion. The dolphin turned around and watched me work, stopping its swinging to let me finish.

I finished cutting the rope and the dolphin nuzzled up to me. I petted its head, and it swam away quickly. I was about to follow along, but a harpoon narrowly missed my hip.

I turned around and saw a group of 3 hunters, one of them holding the harpoon gun that had just been fired. I substituted with a piece of coral to dodge another harpoon and put my kunai away, making 4 quick hand seals and slamming my hands down in the water.

All 3 hunters quickly descended into the ocean floor, slamming against it while the increasing gravitational force of my technique slowly crushed them. Another rope was latched around my neck like a lasso and quickly dragged me away, slamming me against several rocks and underwater shelves before I released my jutsu.

I looked above the water and saw someone reeling in the rope I was being strangled by a smirk plastered over their face. I reached up to tear off the rope, but a harpoon was fired straight through my right forearm, causing me to spit out some air.

I tugged out the sharp utensil and watched my blood soak the waters, pouring chakra from my pores to saturate it. 'Let's see if this'll work!' I smiled, making a single hand seal and swinging the blood-soaked water around, knocking away the hunters with the harpoons.

I formed a rasengan in my hand and obliterated the rope leading up to the boat, getting a cool new choker in the process. I swung my hands upward and flipped the dinghy using my blood before resurfacing to gasp for breath.

A dolphin came up from underwater and nuzzled under my chin affectionately. I pet its head and it swam away underwater, me following in tow. 'Is it going to lead me there?' I thought while diving further into the ocean, passing by schools of fish and some sort of weird huge shark, easily over 20m in length.

My new friend dived through a small crack in a rock formation, I dived deeper down and resurfaced behind the dolphin. We were in an underwater cave, with a large pocket of air above us, the dolphin squealed and swam around, stirring the water up before it began to bubble.

Suddenly, several more dolphins surfaced, one after the other, all bobbing their heads up and squealing. 'What the hell is going on here?' I thought while watching their routine. After they finished, several dived back under the water and a large explosion rang through the cave.

I looked around frantically to spot the source but a sharp pain in my back caused me to turn around and see the huge shark from earlier drilling a spear from its nose into my back. I groaned out in pain and hopped onto the water's surface, getting a full view of the hulking aquatic beast.

It was a deep grey colour with what looked to be panels around the sides of it. The eyes were tinted black, and the nose was sharp like a spear, what I had just been stabbed with. The top fin was a jet-black colour with red highlights that covered the creation like veins.

The shark opened its mouth, and a small person bobbed their head from out of the throat. I heard several clicks like plugs being removed before they fully stepped out into the light.

"Wow, I guess what I did a few days ago wasn't enough."

"Maybe, or did I just want to spook ya?"

"What do you want, Kako?"

"Miss Luna sent me here for the fishies!"

"Too bad you won't find any here."

"Oh, but I will! Look at this fancy little thing!" Kako reached back into the shark's mouth and pulled out a glowing tooth. It hummed with a blue colour, and I saw a glow below the water be set alight with the same colour.

"A tag?"

"Yes! Very special one indeed!" He hopped back into the shark's mouth and popped the tooth back into place with a click. "Too bad you won't get to see the special fishies!"

"Huh?"

The shark's jaw slammed shut with Kako inside before the eyes lost their tint, showing Kako hooked up to several plugs and nozzles pointing towards major parts of the construct.

"Mister Shin! You die here to my newest creation, Same!"

"What an original name."

I jumped over a charge from the puppet, forming hand seals and blowing 3 vacuum spheres into it from above. A blue shield of hexagons formed, and the bullets dispersed around it, causing harmless ripples in the water.

"A shield?"

"Right on the money!"

The fin extended outside the back and slammed into me with great force, pushing me into the stone ceiling and causing a few pebbles to fall down. It reeled back to the robot, and the shark dived before I landed back down.

I activated my dojutsu and felt its humongous signature swim around below me before launching upwards to gobble me up. I barely dodged past it's left side as it launched out of the water, but the fin flipped horizontally and hit me, sending me reeling across the surface.

'This thing's a fucking tank, and I can't use electricity in case I hurt the dolphins.' The battle was proving to be a bit more difficult than last time, at least compared to his other puppet.

While it flipped in the air, rocketing down towards the water again, I quickly charged a rasengan, but for some reason, the colour of it was a deeper shade of blue, almost reflecting the dark water below me.

"Perfect flash activated!"

I slammed the navy ball of energy into the side of the shark, causing the shield to form but crack under the pressure. I drilled it even further before the barrier shattered and the crumpling of the outer metal hull was ringing in my ears.

"That was impressive Mister Shin! Too bad Same's skin is a bit tougher thanks to the chakra dispersing metal, otherwise that would have really done a number on it."

The shark disappeared under the water again and began to swim around frantically in a loop. After a few more circles, the side fins detached and started to spin around like sickles, cleaving through the water like it was air.

"Chakra loop: Sickles!"

The sickles broke through the surface of the water, ricocheting off of the walls before directing back towards me. I dodged the death blades and they slammed into another rock, bouncing to hit another rock before launching back towards me.

I pulled out one of my swords and deflected the first sickle, launching it into the ceiling, but the other cleaved through my side and hooked onto me.

"Lookie here! I caught a big one!" The sickles dragged me around the air, slowly tearing through my skin under my ribs, I felt the tip hit the bottom of my lowest false rib before it slammed me into a rock on the roof.

The second sickle bounced around the room and attempted to hook me through the eye, but I deflected it with my blade again, pushing it into the wall where it was stuck inside.

I growled and touched the sickle stuck inside of me, controlling my blood on top of it to disrupt the chakra signal, but it didn't work. "Obviously I found a counter to that! I'm not so dumb like big sis Mirai says!"

"I. Don't. Give. A. Shit" I stammered, stabbing my large cleaver into the blade to break it to no avail. My eyes became slightly heavier, and I dropped my blade while panting, I didn't think I used all that much chakra, and my system said the same. "What. The. hell?"

"Feeling tired?"

I growled without responding, slowly watching my health trickle down as my strength began to rise. 'This is going to hurt' I grit my teeth and poured a large amount of chakra into my muscles, further increasing my strength at the cost of stress while my mind went blank due to the excessive blood and sanity loss.

I put my hand into my own body, the other holding onto the chain tightly while I pushed back the blade slowly. "GRAHHHHHH!" I yelled out, heaving it away and falling down to the water. My mind was throwing alerts off constantly so much so that it didn't care about the marine life around me, or my own safety for that matter as I slammed my hands into the ground and launching an electrical current through the salty liquid below me.

"Haha! I got something against that one as well!"

My mouth opened to respond but I couldn't form any words for some reason. It felt like I was stumbling over everything, and I mean everything.

I tripped over my foot and face planted into the water, watching the shark swim around like a rabid animal. It had disconnected its sickles after they got stuck, so the chained weapons were just dangling off of the wall or in the water.

"Mister Shin, you're not looking too hot." The shark swam straight up and pierced my stomach with its spear nose, flinging me into the ceiling while my blood splattered everywhere.

"Has the poison finally taken effect?"

'Poison? From what?' I fell to the water with a belly flop, it was obviously the weapons, but I wasn't even thinking of that at the time. 'Lightning doesn't work, fire obviously won't, even the rasengan won't destroy it.' I sat on top of the water while my body slowly fumbled through hand seals.

"Mister Shin, you can't really be thinking a jutsu will help you here, are you?" The nose spear suddenly flew towards me and pierced straight through my stomach. My body slowly looked down at the harpoon through my chest before I coughed some blood and finished my hand seals.

'Gravity style: Area warp' I thought, my body moved its hands up to my command with a palm facing forwards. I focused on the head of the mechanical monstrosity, a small ripple shuddered through the air, activating the initial shield but passing straight through it until it touched the panelled eye of the shark.

The right eye was slowly pulled out of it's frame, swirling around while the metal screamed from stress. It started to fall apart, with cables and wires open for me to see and a frightened Kako looking around as his creation began to morph from the gravitational currents flowing in the air.

"Side note, Gravity style: area warp once had a advanced stage, one only achieved by the greatest practitioners of the technique."

My chakra continued to drain while I watched on in awe at the sight of a large mechanical shark being torn apart at the seams and twisted around in the air. Kako screamed and cried, desperately trying to unplug himself from the systems.

Before he could reach the final plug however, the right side of his body started to move upwards, a loud click resounding in the cave as his bone snapped in half under the gravitational pull. He tried to tear his arm away, but the metal slowly formed into a ball.

"It was something akin to a singularity, infinite density, in the smallest possible size. Though it was nowhere near as small as the 'usual' singularity, it still held the same principles, if a bit warped."

Next was his torso, it was slowly dragged into the metal and flesh sphere. His body wrapping around while spewing out blood from every orifice. His eyes exploded in his head before his legs were dragged into the sphere and the rest of the shark crushed him, killing him upon impact.

"You have killed an enemy! 'Copycat' perk activated!

I breathed out and sat on the water, coming down from my adrenaline high. The sphere dropped into the water and soaked it with blood, causing all of the dolphins to pop out of the water to check on the situation.

I laid back down on the water, staring into the rocky ceiling before a pebble hit my forehead, then another, then the ceiling started to rumble. The dolphins screamed out and began to panic, swimming around frantically while I let go of my chakra, sinking into the water and searching for the entrance.

I tried to swim forward but my hand was looking a bit darker than usual, and my vision became spotty. 'Fuck, the poison. I forgot about it.' I blinked to clear my vision, but it only became darker. 'Can I make it out in 30 seconds?'

I activated my second wind and burst forward, following a couple of dolphins through a whole in the wall before the tail of one hit my head, pushing me off course. 'Fuck! I'm so close! So close!' I let out a few bubbles before I noticed something on the cave ground, a chain sickle from earlier.

The last of the dolphins left while I had 20 seconds left, attempting to pry the sickle out from under a rock with chakra enhanced strength. 'Come on! Just a little more!' I exerted more pressure and bubbles of air exited my body while the darkness in my vision spread.

My body weakened from the over exertion and the lasting seconds of my second wind ticked down slowly. I wrestled the rocks away and finally pulled out the sickle, but I was too late, my vision faded, and I fell backwards into the water, floating up while unconscious.

Oh look, another fight where he ends up unconscious. I don't know why I like this trope so much, but I've definitely over done it in this series. Don't worry though, in part 2 it will not happen nearly as often. Yes, this is still a scene break, why do you ask?

"*Gasp* What the fuck?"

"Sup! Did you have fun down there?"

"Sho? Why can't I see?"

"What do you mean?"

"I can't see."

"Ah, you should probably remove the bandages then."

I grasped for my head and tore off the fabric before Sho flashed a mirror towards me, showing a gnarly scar going from the top right of my forehead and down to the top of my right cheekbone.

"Pretty cool."

"Not really, it took a lot of chakra to heal. Now get up so we can catch the fish, it's only been a few hours since I found you."

"How did you find me?"

"Well, there was a dolphin carrying you on its back while swimming around the surface of the water. I caught it and fetched your body before it left."

"So, one of them came back huh?"

"Care to explain what happened while we head towards the hunting grounds?"

"You found them?"

"Yeah, lots of the dolphins were surfacing above it with glowing fish in their mouths."

Sho unfurled the sails and stood up to the helm of the ship. I looked around and there were quite a few corpses, probably belonging to the original owners of the boat.

"Guess I'll get started. After moving away from you I saved a dolphin from some Volt guys, and it led me to a cave where I assumed the hunting grounds were. Turns out they weren't there but we found a giant 20-meter-long shark that turned out to be Kako from the Luminos cult or whatever, we had a fight and then the underwater cave collapsed, and I drowned."

"What a day for you, I just got rid of the last hunters that were waiting on the boat after the dinghies were deployed and was sailing the boat around until I found you."

"How boring, my story was way better."

"I know right? Why can't I fight to the death with someone, what a pity!"

"Oh, fuck off."

"Hehe, there! You can see some now!"

I looked over the side of the ship and spotted a teal glow under the water and several dolphins bounding around the surface. Sho smiled gleefully at the sight of our prey and started to pull up the sails before slamming the anchor down into the depths far away enough from the hunting grounds as to not scare the fish.

Sho dived under the water with a cannonball and swam towards the reef while I stood on the edge of the boat, preparing to jump in as well. I was about to dive before a poof was heard behind me and Komai appeared.

"Hey Shin! I'm all good to go again. Oh, am I interrupting something?"

"Not at all, wait here on the boat while we go get the fish. Then we can decide on our destination."

"Okay."

I hopped off the boat while Komai laid down to bask in the sun. The cold water surrounding my body as I sank down to the ground. When I touched the sea floor, I blasted off the ground and caught up to Sho, who was sitting next to some coral and watching the dolphins chase around the fish.

Sho pointed towards a small group of the chakra fish that were feeding on a large piece of pink table coral. He put up three fingers and pointed towards the three closest and then towards me and then the other three and nodded, he slowly put down his fingers and blasted off after forming a fist.

He brought out a net from his pouch and snagged the three furthest fish in a swift motion while I pounced on the other three, attempting to slam them into my inventory before an alert appeared.

"Life detected! Beings containing any semblance of life or life force cannot be stored inside of the inventory system."

I shook my head and brought the fish to my chest while resurfacing above the water, Sho followed along with his net and opened it above the water so I could place my spoils in. "Can't store alive things huh?"

"No, doesn't look like it."

I chucked my fish into the pile and Sho bunched up the top and clipped it together with a tight knot of ninja wire. "I have 2 more nets; you take them and pass them back after you fill them up. Then we can go sell them somewhere, hopefully."

"Alright, you going to wait here?"

"Yep, these buggers might get a bit rowdy."

I nodded and dived below the water with my two new rope nets, looking around for more fish until I spotted a dolphin chasing a small school of them right above the ground. A smirk formed on my face as I launched down towards the front of the school and opened my net, catching 8 of them while the other 7 or so escaped.

I resurfaced and passed the net to Sho, who tied it up with his ninja wire while I looked for another easy target. I saw a dozen or so hiding behind a rock formation from their predators, too bad I was here. I dived under the water and snagged all of them in a single scoop, passing the full net to Sho who smiled happily and tied the last net up.

"Hehe, these'll fetch a nice price, very nice." Sho said maniacally while licking his lips, cringing slightly at the salty taste from his wet face.

"You sound like a villain; Komai is on the ship waiting so where do we go with those?"

"I'm thinking we sell them back to Volt corp after murdering all of their hunters for fun, but we can also find a buyer in the land of waterfalls, there should be some merchants waiting on the port to buy from any hunters."

"Port might be better, we might even be able to haggle some, or barter for some good items."

"Thinking like a true entrepreneur now Shin, I'm so proud!"

"Whatever."

Sho chuckled a bit and stood up on the water, slowly marching towards our boat with a happy skip in his step. I followed along with a small smile on my face, who knew getting money was so easy?

When Sho was up on the boat and chucked the nets on deck, I pet Komai on the nose before telling him to head towards the nearest port if possible. He smiled and let me hop on his back before Sho followed along and tied the nets to the side of his saddle.

He slapped it with his right hand and smiled, "that's not going anywhere." I rolled my eyes and Komai took off into the air before repositioning himself and blasting forward, presumably towards the shore.

5 hours later

It was nearing midday when we arrived at shore and Komai landed while we cooked a small meal after foraging for some fruit to feed us. I made up some tea while Komai rested and Sho looked for the food, he found some sort of cross between a rambutan and a mangosteen along with a few passionfruit. Sho cut open the hairy fruits to reveal a pearly white centre and chucked it over to me.

"Watch out, there's a pip in the middle. These are called garutin, pretty sweet but we can only get them here in the tropical climate of waterfall sadly. They can't export them due to the low shelf life."

I took a small bite of the flesh and felt the explosion of flavour in my mouth. It was like a silky mixture of a cherry and a grape, sweet with a hint of sourness on the back of my tongue while I swallowed.

"That good? Haha."

"Hm?"

"You had a funny look on your face, like a child who just discovered chocolate."

I blushed a bit and nibbled at my fruit while Komai and Sho laughed and finished their food. Sho whipped out his map and began talking to Komai while I opened my status and looked at my skill levels.

I put my stat points into health and looked over to Sho, who was inspecting the fish before he hopped on the saddle. "Hop on Shin, we're heading off to Hanri Port."

"Alright, gimme a sec." I jumped onto the saddle and Komai lifted off the ground and turned towards east on the coast before swiftly gliding forwards.

"The fish. How much are we going to sell them for?" I asked to Sho, he placed a finger on his chin and stared into the sky. "Not sure, we'll ask some locals before going towards the merchants. I want to do this quick though, using the mystical palm over so many things is quite taxing."

"Speaking of which, how can you use it on multiple people?"

"Special little jutsu of mine I created when we were understaffed at the hospital. Medical ninjutsu: Limbo zone, I designate a certain area and apply medical ninjutsu constantly to keep critical patients in a state of near death around the clock. So far, I've had to use 3 diluted soldier pills to not run my reserves dry and kill them all."

"Sounds fun."

"Very."

Sho's face was coated in sweat and his cheeks were slightly red from exertion. Now that I was paying attention, it was very easy to tell he was having a hard time.

"How long did it take you to make?"

"It took a couple of years to perfect in my spare time, and Natio managed to produce a couple of seals that could increase the proficiency, but we haven't tested them."

"Did you use it a lot on the front lines?"

"I did a couple of times as a combat medic, but people preferred to use stasis seals and called my jutsu useless, so I just stopped using it."

"That makes no sense, this is an amazing technique!"

"A bitch on the chakra though."

"True but it's still revolutionary!"

"Heh, thanks kid. Really needed a boost to my ego about now."

"Do you need it deflated?"

"No, not really."

"M'kay, wake me up when we get there."

"Don't worry, we already are."

I looked over Komai's wing and saw a large town below us with several ships parked on the port. Komai dived down to the ground and we hopped off, me carrying the bags of fish while Sho mopped off the sweat on his face.

We entered the town and spotted several merchants arguing with some fishermen. A young female merchant with brown hair flipped off one of the fishermen and ran off in a huff, leaving her colleagues to sigh and chase after her.

"Wow, that was something." I voiced out, Sho smiled and walked towards the fisherman, me slowly stalking behind with the fish.

"Hello fine gentlemen, know someone we can sell these fish to?" Sho said confidently while gesturing towards the nets on my back. A larger man with a thick brown beard and a scar down his lip quirked an eyebrow at him and gestured us to follow him silently. Sho gave me a thumbs up and chucked another pill in his mouth before swallowing it with water.

We were led down to the ship were the fisherman brought out a couple of barrels for us to sit on while his crew loaded supplies for their next voyage.

"So, is Volt not paying enough?" The captain said, stomping his foot on the deck to catch our attention.

"We aren't with them." Sho replied stoically.

"Then why do you have the fish, I thought it was agreed that only they would be going for them this time."

"Please explain."

"Since you don't know, I guess you aren't affiliated with any of the big contractors regularly, are you?"

"We're actually pretty new to this."

"Okay, well what you have done is going to cause quite a few problems. Basically, the big corporations give certain things to each other in return for discounts on products and such, like we sell fish and fruit to the land of tea for a discounted price, and we get tea and weaponry in return at a lower price. This year, we tried something new and gave the opportunity for Volt corp to catch the chakra fish for their new pharmaceuticals in return that we receive 15% of the initial profits this year.

Now that you have taken the fish before them or from them, it'll paint a target on our backs, and we could get into some pretty hot water. So, you'll be coming with us to apologise." He stomped his foot on the floor again and unsheathed his sword, "dead or alive."

He slashed his sword towards Sho, who narrowly dodged and stumbled backwards onto the floor, he was breathing heavily, and sweat was pouring down his face. "Can we uh, do this another time?"

"Nope, too bad for you." The captain said and all of the fisherman around us brought out swords. "Sho! You watch the fish, I'll take care of these chumps."

"Chumps? Cocky little kid here, let's string him up for his dad to see why don't we?"

"YEAH!"

I brought out my l kunai blade and blocked a strike from the captain, dodging another from my right side and dropping to the floor so I could sweep a crew member on my left. I stuck my blade into the ground and made 4 hand seals, spawning a shadow clone that tackled the crew member on my right while I fought the captain.

"Hey me 2! You take care of the rest of them, I'll face the captain over here."

The clone didn't respond but sliced open the crew member he had tackled while I looked at my chakra, it had been cleanly sliced in half, from my recovered 22,000 to 11,000. I clicked my tongue and parried another strike from the captain before kicking him in the chest, "don't tell me that's all you can do?"

"Shut up you little shit!" He growled, slashing wildly while I easily parried each swing before slamming my foot into his knee and pushing him onto his knees.

I lined up my sword against his neck but stopped when I heard Sho yell out in pain, I turned around and he was punctured by a sword through his gut. "SHO!" I yelled out, instantly killing the offender with a slash through the spine. He was slowly bleeding onto the floor and my hands were warm with his blood, he wouldn't die from this, but… it still pissed me right the fuck off.

"You…All die here." I whispered out, activating my dojutsu and using a full blast of my killing intent over the ship. I heard some shuffling and stood up, cracking the floorboards under me while I flooded my muscles and body with swift chakra.

"What the fuck?" The captain whispered out while he started to sweat from the willpower being exerted from me. I vanished from my position and instantly killed the captain, putting my sword through his forehead and lodging it handle deep through the mast.

My clone dropped next to me and started to form hand seals while I made my own. "Ninja technique…" my clone whispered out. "Lightning style…" I growled.

"RASENGAN!"

"CHIDORI!"

We both formed elemental balls of chakra in our hands and drilled them through several crew members, splattering the entire deck in crimson red liquid. It was like fruit being chopped up in a blender and by the time we were done, it was looking a lot like juice.

I lowered my hand and cut off the chakra, sighing deeply while the memories of my clone entered my mind. It was really weird seeing myself in a third person perspective, especially while massacring dozens of civilians.

"Wow, that was a fucking mess. Right Sho?"

I turned around to look at him and he flicked me a thumbs up while holding onto his gut. I made some hand seals and walked over, blowing a small amount of healing flames into his body to accelerate the regeneration.

"Ah thanks. I can't hold onto the jutsu much longer, is there somewhere around here where we can leave them?"

"Yeah of course, you rest up now. I'll go find a merchant or something to buy them."

"Look at you, all responsible and shit haha, I'll take you up on that offer though." He closed his eyes and laid back against the floor while I picked up the nets of fish and tied the together using some rope. I then chucked the nets off of the boat into the water and tied the other end of the rope to my sword that was still stuck in the mast.

After looking at Sho one more time, I hopped onto the ramp leading off the ship and walked along the port while I figured out a plan to sell the fish. That was until I saw the same woman from earlier marching off of a boat in a huff, followed by her entourage of companions.

"Miss Chi! Please consider their offer!" One of them complained.

"Please do! We haven't found any group that isn't in a contract yet, and we probably won't all day!" Another one added while nodding towards the other

"Shut up! Not with those attitudes we won't!" She snapped backwards and started to walk in my direction. "You there! Does your daddy or mummy have any special fish they have caught recently?"

She was obviously calling towards me, so I decided to play up the childishness a little bit to annoy her. "Huh? Who're you ya old bag?"

"O-Old bag?" She stuttered out, her companions frozen behind her while she started to vibrate. "I'LL SHOW YOU AN OLD BAG YOU FUCKING SHIT!" I saw an aura of the devil surrounding her as she raced towards me.

I ran back to our ship with her hot on my tail and jumped onto the deck, letting the group witness the aftermath of the carnage that had been caused by me. "The chakra fishes. If you want them, you better pay a good price, or I'll kill you all." I stopped my teasing and tugged on the rope holding up all of the nets.

"Y-You did all of this?" She looked around the deck and she paled slightly while one of her companions threw up over the edge of the boat. "I did. So don't rip me off now, actually, let me wake up my friend." I waltzed over to Sho and slapped him across the face, he jolted awake and groaned loudly. "What time is it kid? Have you found a merchant?"

"I have, and it's about 3pm now, so you've been asleep for about 2 hours. The merchants are here now so we can sell the fish."

"Good stuff, now who're our new buyer friends here?" Sho chirped while picking up the barrel he sat on earlier.

The group looked between themselves before the woman up front pointed to herself and bowed. "I'm Chi Hima, heiress to the Hima corporation based in the land of hot water. These are my attendants, Shu, Wan and Hog."

"Alright, I'm Shoma Yuiki, and this is my companion, Shin Uzumaki. Why are you looking for the fish?"

"I need to bring something back to my father that can prove my competence, and my first thought were the chakra fish that would appear around this time. Sadly, I received no sort of money as a starting point except for accommodation and the like."

"If you received no money, why are you trying to buy products from hunters or set up contracts?" I asked back. She looked at me from the corner of her eye but sighed and sat on the edge of the ship.

"I have other things that can be traded for the fish. Though with permission from my father, I can bill the group for the organs."

"Do you have a specialist that can remove them?"

"Yes, Wan and Shu have received formal training as veterinarians and chefs."

"How many fish are you looking for?"

"Preferably around 20 since we don't want to thin out the numbers too much before they can regrow."

"Okay, what can you offer us in return for 26 fish, all alive."

"I have lots of information, but we can also offer you some items like sealing tags or weaponry we import, or even, free access passes to the hot springs we are well known for."

"We'll find someone else; all of those things are quite common to be found or bought. Good luck finding another seller." Sho shooed them off and closed his eyes with a smirk. Chi's face started to get redder, and it soon started to seem like steam would blow out of her ears.

"FINE THEN! HOW ABOUT MY VIRGINITY!"

Sho's eyes widened, and his mouth dropped to the floor while her companions seemed equally surprised. Sho looked like he was thinking about it before I punched his over the head, "you have a girlfriend dumbass."

"Oh shit, I forgot about that!"

"Moron." I replied while smiling, Chi was getting even more angry after we ignored her statement/offer and was starting to look like a tomato.

"STOP IGNORING ME ASSHOLES!"

"Fine, what sort of information can you give?"

"That's better. I can give you anything, anything at all."

I stepped up to the plate and put my hand in front of Sho's mouth. He squinted his eyes but nodded and sat back with his arms crossed.

"Can you give us information on the jinchurikii and tailed beasts?"

"That… That is some pricy stuff you're asking for."

"Yet you don't have a choice but to give it to us if you want these fish. Start with the 7 tails, where is it?"

"10 fishes."

"Huh?"

"10 fishes for that information."

"5, no higher."

"8."

"5."

"6."

"Agreed, now where is it?"

"The jinchurikii is currently being safe guarded near the hero's water, he isn't allowed to leave under any circumstance and has around the clock surveillance."

"Alright, next beast, 6 tails."

"The jinchurikii died during the fight against the Uzumaki clan, we don't have any information or location for its reincarnation."

"Ugh, that's all I don't really care about the rest. What's going on in the rain village?"

"I'll give you the full situation for 14 fishes."

"Never mind then, not worth it. The luminous church, or the group known as Dusk, give me anything on them."

"You know a lot of stuff you shouldn't kid, 10 fish for the entire library of information we have so far on them." She pulled out a yellow file that was quite thick and shook it in the air with a smirk.

"So, 16 fish in total for everything huh?"

"22, two beasts, 2 times 6."

"Nope, 1 payment of 6 for information on all of the beasts."

"Stingy kid, anything else you want to know?"

"Yeah, just one more."

"What is it?"

"Do you have any information on what, the eternal night may be?"

Her ears perked up and her eyes widened slightly which I didn't miss but she shifted her face back into information mode. "Can't say I've heard of it. Forget the other fish, we'll take 16 and leave."

I fetched up the nets with a dozen and the one with 6 in it, transferring two from the smaller net to the bigger one and placing it on the deck. "16 chakra fish, all yours."

Chi threw the yellow folder to me and one of her companions picked up the bag of fish. "One last thing, stay far away from dusk Shin, and contact me if you ever end up in the land of hot water."

She left the boat with her group, and I hooked the nets back onto my sword before sitting on the deck with my back against the side. "Hey Sho, after the land of iron, we need to go to the land of crescents, don't we?"

"I… think so. We need to deal with them fast before they can actually pull a fast one on us. What's in the folder?"

I looked down at the stack in my hands and unhooked it before peeling open the cover to look inside. There were pictures, descriptions, analysis, and predictions for their members, including the executives.

"This is very worrying." Sho said over my shoulder, I looked to where he was looking and saw an old woman with thick golden hair and bright red eyes. "What's wrong with her?"

"I have some… previous experience against her, and she's a fucking problem. I'd rather fight the sannin all at once than her, because at least they might give me a chance to run."

"That strong?"

"No, just scary, very scary."

"How so?"

"Read for yourself, don't underestimate her because she's over 70 now."

Asa Tsugi, 2nd seat executive of Dusk

Description: Elderly woman observed to be around 80~ years old, golden hair, red eyes, uses a cane that can act as a weapon.

Notable abilities: Strong aptitude in fuinjutsu, kenjutsu, and genjutsu. Information during the second shinobi war may be outdated.

Past noted abilities: School of Daybreak's signature kenjutsu style, summer sun. Extensive usage of poison.

List of recorded feats: Once disabled an entire battalion of chakra usage using fuinjutsu without being noticed. Setup a large formation for a gravity seal using her feet. Defeated the previous Uchiha patriarch, Reda Uchiha using genjutsu.

Predictions after review: She was feared on the battlefield during the second war, and it is highly likely she has become even more fearsome than before, not discounting her age.

"She could outdo an Uchiha in genjutsu?"

"That's not the scary part, fuinjutsu is an extremely dangerous art, its only weakness being the prep time itself. If she can create seals using her feet on dirt or even something similar, the fight would be over after a single kenjutsu clash."

"How the fuck is that fair? And don't you need to use ink or something for fuinjutsu to work?"

"Usually, yes. I don't know how she did it, but maybe she has overcome that weakness?"

"No, I doubt it. No matter how strong you are, there are constants in this world."

"That's true, but she's truly frightening, and you won't know that until you fight her firsthand."

"You have?"

"No, but I've heard stories from my colleagues."

"Couldn't they just be exaggerations or something?"

"No, that fear was real."

Sho took on a thinking stance for a bit and I flicked through the rest of the folder before chucking it into my inventory for later use. "We need to get rid of the rest of these fish, can you go find someone this time?"

"Wow kid, I'm injured and everything, but you still have to rely on me?"

"Shut up, I know you're healed and I'm not even a medic."

"Tch, observant little shit."

He sighed loudly and walked onto the harbor while I laid back against the wall and summoned a shadow clone. "Watch the place will ya?" The clone didn't respond but sat on the side of the boat while I closed my eyes for a short nap.

Uhh, sorry? So basically, here's the excuse this time. I was out of town for my uncle's wedding the entire week, then I got sick for a couple of days, still am, but I finished this real quick before I go take a nap.

SO, TO MAKE UP FOR THE EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY LATE CHAPTER. I'll have one out in the next 3 days. Now, I know this chapter is quite empty in terms of y'know, stuff, but this is a setup for the next longer-ish arc that will probably take 3 or 4 chapters. The title of this chapter really doesn't make sense, but I like fish and chips so that's the title I came up with a week ago, I guess.

As you can tell by the usual time of my updates, I don't really care about the numbers or stuff on my story except for the dopamine rush I get when I look at that sweet, sweet graph in traffic stats. This however, doesn't mean I don't care about the feedback I get, and it really, really, REALLY FUCKING ANNOYS ME WHEN YALL COMPLAIN ON CHAPTER 2, AND STILL READ TO CHAPTER 20 WHATEVER, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, STOP READING!

Love you all except the asshats who do that - tired
