One day Dot's mom said that she had to go to summer camp. " Dot you are going to summer camp tomorrow." said her Mom. "But why do I have to?' Dot asked. ''It will give you something to do over the summer." Mom said in a happy voice. "Start packing your bags!" she yelled. Dot ran up into her room and started to pack. She was talking to herslef the whole time she was packing. She also packed her soccer ball and her teddy. She went nowhere without her ball and teddy. (Not stores)
In the morning she got up early. She got up at 6:00a.m.She wore blue jeans, a white sweat shirt, boots, and a blue bow. She had pancakes and orange juice for breakfast. She put on her sneakers and went outside. The bus came at 6:45. "Bye Dot!" her Mom said while giving her a kiss. When she got on the bus she took a seat. She didn't know anyone on the bus. She read her book about "what to do at camp. " The drive was 15 minutes. It seemed like 20minutes to her.
When they got there they put their bags in a pile and took atendence. Then they had to get their bags and go to their camp sight. While Dot was trying to get her bag, a girl put her stuff on Dot's." Excuse me, can you get my bag? It's under yourse." Dot said. "Sure." said the girl. "My name is Amy." she said. "My name is Dot. Are you cabin 5?" Dot asked. "Um... Yeah!"Amy shouted. "Cool so were bunk mates!" Dot yelled. Dot was happy that she made a new friend.
When she got in the cabin their was another girl in it. She had the bottom bunk. Dot went on thetop. At night the window was open so she had to put bag spray on the window and onher. She also put her covers on her head and her body. She didn't want to get bug bites.At night it was raining. Dot's blanckets got wet a little bit. It was a very cold night for Dot . It was also a very went night. (Rain). The bed was very comfterable.At 5:00 in the morning herbunk mates went outside in the rain." What are you doing?" Dot wispered while yawning. "Were going togo to the bathroom. You have to have partners." Amy said. They other girls name was Tina. It was still wet outside. It was dark too.
At 7:00 they all woke up. They play a trumpet to wake everyone. They had all types of food there. Dot had watermelon andwaffles withmilk. She sat by Amy and Tina. Amy had fruit and Tina had milk and pancakes. Dot also had a side of bacon. They have 10 minutes to eat every meal that they have. Then they went toswimming. Theyhad a test. Dot past. She had swimming lessons remember? She got to go on the deep and the small side. She mostly stayed on the small side because Tina didn't knowhow to swim. Her parents don't like her in water. They think she will drown.
