Next morning:

I was awake for the last 20 mins or so, I just refused to open my eyes. I had no energy in getting up and going to classes. Still, I could hear my roommates whispered about. Peeping out of one eye, I noticed they were surrounded around my bed. Hearing someone hush the others, I quickly closed my eye.

"I saw you, Athena." Hermione sung.

"You didn't see anything. I am still asleep." Lifting my head, I pulled the pillow out and slammed it over my face. "See still asleep."

"I swear you are nothing, but a child." Hermione huffed.

"Professor Snape is asking for you." Ginny said.

I glared at my pillow. "Tell him I'm sick."

"Is that so?" I heard a collection of gasp, which confirmed I had indeed heard her voice. "Get yourself ready Ms. Black. Snape will be waiting for you in his office."

I waited until I no longer heard her footsteps. Tossing the pillow off me, I groaned loudly. "What's the penalty for hexing a teacher?" Tossing my pillow at Hermione, I raised a finger. "Don't answer that."

After having showered and dressed, I made my way to Snape's office. Usually, when one was to walk into his office, you were in trouble. Just as I reached his door, Ian came staggering out bumping into me. My hands came to his shoulders, stopping him from falling to the ground.

"Ian, you alright?" The man was sweating. His shirt was damped, making it seem as if he had been dumped into the lake. He was quivering, his muscles tensed. "Ian?"

"Y-yeah, I'm fine." Shrugging me off, he stumbled down the corridor. "I have to get to class."

"W-"

"Athena."

I turned to find Snape at the door, gesturing for me to walk in. I glanced back down the corridor, hoping to see Ian. I knew we weren't on the best of terms, but I still cared for him. Before I could act on my thoughts, I was pulled into the office. Sirius shut the door behind us, stalking past me. "Was that really necessary?"

"Yes." Snap said. "I don't like repeating myself."

"What happened to Ian?"

Snape took a seat at his desk, grabbing the paper in front of him. "That is none of your concern."

"Ian is still my friend, regardless of what happened yesterday."

"Friend?" Snape looked up with a raised brow. "The boy assaulted you and you still call him a friend?"

"Yes." I snipped. "I don't know about you, but I don't give up on people so easily."

"There will come a time when you will." Snape said.

Leaning on one of the tables, I crossed my arms. "You asked I come here. What do you need?"

"Dumbledore has granted you a pass of absence to all your classes today." Snape picked up his papers once more, holding them up to cover his face. "You are free to do as you wish."

"And you had me come down for that?" I scoffed, flinging my arms up in annoyance. "You were literally in Gryffindor's common room, you could have told me there."

"Just because you are not required to be at class, you should not spend it in bed Athena." Snape said, still not looking past his papers. "I wanted to ensure you got up and grabbed something to eat."

"What do you care if I sleep all day or skip breakfast, you are not my fath-" I stopped mid-word, just then realizing what I was about to say. "Thank you for letting me know Profess0r Snape." I kept telling myself not to turn around. To keep my mouth shut. To just keep walking. But in the end, I couldn't stop myself from turning around. "Did you even want me?"

Snape looked up at me in astonishment. "What?"

"When you found out about me, did you want me? Or did you just see a bargaining chip?" I knew I had to stop. This wasn't the place or time to speak of this, but I needed to know.

"We are not speaking of this right now." Snape spoke quietly. "Leave."

I scoffed, walking over to his desk. "I never believed the things other spoke about you. I had fought so many times with harry, by choosing your side." Placing my hands on his desk, I leaned in closer. "I now believe they were all true. I was the only idiot one that didn't want to believe them."

Snape slammed the papers down, taking in a deep breath. "What you think you know, may very well be wrong Athena."

"You are correct on that professor Snape." Standing up straight, I dropped my arms to my side. "I used to believe you were this kind and loving man. The only one I thought I could trust with anything I needed help with. The one I could run to when I was scared. But now I know just how wrong I was. You were willing to deal of your own blood to save your skin."

"Well, you should be used to it by now." Snape smirked. "Your father did sell you off to Black did he not?"

Those words hit me like a ton of bricks. Who knew that could hurt so much? "Go to hell Severus." Turning away, I kept repeating to myself 'Don't cry. Don't let him know how much he affects you.'

"Athena wait."

I kept walking, not daring to stop or look back.

"Athena."

'Keep walking. Keep walking.'

"Athena!"

'Don't look back.'

The moment I stepped out in the corridor I was able to breathe. Falling against the wall, I took in deep breaths. In part to stop myself from crying and in part to control the demon inside. I had the urge to storm back in there and do horrible things. I have never felt this. The anger in me was slowly taking control of my mind and body. A quiet hiss echoing in my mind, telling me to do it. My fingers were wrapped tightly around my wand.

'Do it.'

'I can't'

'Yess you can. Make him hurt as he has to you.'

I shook my head, trying to get that voice out of my head. 'No.'

'You're weak! You will never be anything then weak!'

"Leave me alone!"

"Athena?" I looked up to find Hermione staring at me with frightened eyes. "What's wrong?"

"I'm fine Hermione. I just-I'm fine." I leaned my head back against the wall, closing my eyes for a moment. I tried finding the voice, tried listening for it. But try as hard as I could, I couldn't hear it. It was gone.

"Are you sure?" Hermione asked. "You were yelling."

"I am fine I promise." Spotting Snape standing in the doorway to his office, I clenched my jaw. I suddenly began to feel the anger in me begin to rise once more. "Let's go get breakfast."

Walking into the dining room we were meet with Harry and Ron. Ron handed me the daily profit, telling me to read the front page. There had been an escape from Azkaban last night and to make matters worse, they were trying to pin it on Sirius. "That fucken bastard. He doesn't want to admit what is truly gone, so they want to turn the attention to Sirius. He was cleared of all charges."

Harry grabbed the paper from me, scrunching it up and tossing it away. "We know the truth and that's enough. Besides the ministry doesn't know where to find him."

I swear Harry can be so forgetful sometimes. "Harry, they know I married him. I am pretty sure they can find him. My guess is that they are just trying to turn the attention from them to someone else."

"On a side note, Hagrid is back." Hermione said.

I paused. "Where has he been?" Hermione leaned in close to me, whispering into my ear. "Woah. How that go?" Getting a shake of the head from Harry I got my answer. "Well, what're a few giants." As we walked in between the tables, I noticed everyone was reading the daily profit. "Dumbledore did warn Fudge this could happen."

"He is gonna get us all killed just because he can't face the truth." Hermione added.

"Harry." We turned towards Shamus sheeple getting up. All eyes were on us. "I-ah-I wanted to apologize. Now even me mum says the Prophet's version of this doesn't add up. So, what I'm really trying to say is that u believe you."

Harry grinned, giving him a slight nod. "Alright then. Let's get to work."

"Ah, can we get something to eat first?" I groaned. "I am really hungry. Not to mention you all have class."

"We have class." Ron said.

I shook my head, grabbing him in a headlock. "Nope, Dumbledore gave me a free pass to all my classes today. I am school-free."

"What?!" Ron shrieked, shoving me off. "Why do you get a free pass?"

"Easy, after Harry, I am the favorite." I laughed.

After breakfast, I was left on my own. The others went on to their classes. I was left in my room, wondering how I was to spend my day. I didn't really want to spend it in bed and I didn't feel like going out. So, what the hell was I supposed to do? Gryffindor trotted over to me, nudging my ringed hand with his nose. I glanced down at my ring, running my finger over it causing a warm feeling.

"Yeah, I miss him too." Grabbing my jacket, I jogged out of the room and towards the nearest floo channel. Sadly, Gryffindor had to stay at school, but I mean how much trouble can a Dire wolf get into. Landing in the family room, I stepped out patting myself off. "Sirius?" Looking around, I didn't see or hear him. "Sirius!" Running upstairs I checked the rooms coming back empty-handed. "Where the hell is this man?" Seeing Kreature scurry onto the next room, I hurried after him. "Kreature!"

The house-elf stopped, turned towards me ever so slowly. "Little girl."

"Have you seen Sirius?"

"Wolfman came for him." He spoke. "Haven't come back yet." He continued off with his doings.

"Oh, ahh, thanks." Taking a seat on the armchair by the fire, I picked up a book and kept myself busy. Hearing the tapping of claws on the floor, I glanced behind me to find Black padding over to me. "Hey, buddy!" Picking him up, I cradled him into my arms. "Have you been behaving?"

"Well, he did get into my shoes." Sirius appeared at the entrance of the living room. His shoulder leaning against the archway. "And he still chases Kreature about the house."

Hugging him closer to me, I laughed. "Where have you been?"

"Remus and I had something to do." Sirius replied.

Placing Black back on the ground, I watched him scurry off after Kreature. "Mind if ask what things?"

Sirius sighed, giving the room a sweep. "I rather not Athena. It's not because I don't trust you, but because I don't want you involved."

"I am sorry, I don't think we have met." Walking over to him, I held my hand out for a shake. "I am Athena Black. Best friends with Harry Potter. Married Sirius Black and the daughter of Severus Snape. I am already involved."

Sirius laughed, wrapping his arms around my waist. "So you are." Sliding his hand across my cheek, he caressed his thumb over. "Alright. Dumbledore had us doing some recruiting."

"How did it go?"

"Not so well. Many don't believe." Sirius sighed. "And the ones that do are to frighten."

Pulling him over to the couch, I pushed him down. Walking over to the side table, I grabbed him a glass of fire whiskey and handed it to him. "Flight or fight, it's in the human behavior. A lot will choose flight if it means keeping themselves and loves ones safe."

Sirius reached out grabbing my hand and pulling me into his lap. "Change of subject. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in classes?"

"I got a free pass today. I figured I'd come and visit my husband." I leaned in closer, whispering into his ear. "Didn't see me coming did you?"

Sirius gripped my jaw, forcing my gaze on him. "On the contrary love, I have." Leaning in closer, his mouth hovered over mine. "Multiple times."

"W-wh-That was uncalled for." I let out a yelp as he flipped us around, his back on the couch. "Sirius!"

"I did miss you." He goes to sit up, but I push him back down. "Athe-"

I cut him off by kissing his lips. He kisses back, his hands coming up towards my neck and hair. I pulled away, grabbing his hands gently, and placed them back down by his side. "No touching."

"That's not fair." Sirius sulked.

I bring my finger up to his lips and kiss him again. "Shh." It's a slow process but I want to enjoy it, but most of all, I want him to enjoy it. I moved my lips towards his jawline, neck, and collarbone. Kissing every inch, I could feel the struggle he felt in keeping his hands down. Stopping on his abdomen, I moved back up.

"Athena." Sirius growled.

I picked up the desperation in his voice. Seeing his arms tense, I looked down to find his hands gripping the edge of the seat. It was taking all his willpower to not touch. Sitting up, still straddling him, I reached for his hands and placed them on my hips. Leaning down, I whispered into his ear-biting his earlobe. "Your turn."

Sirius pulled me down on his chest, burying his face into my neck. As his mouth worked my neck, his hands roving all over my body. Our breaths becoming heavier by the second. "You're irresistible." He whispered, nibbling on my ear. His hands trailed down my back slipping under my shirt.

Just then the doorbell rang.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding." I groaned, dropping my head on his chest.

Hearing it once more, Sirius growled. "Go away! I am busy!"

"Hello?" We both shared a look at hearing a female's voice in the house. Looking towards the doorway, a woman appeared insight. "Oh, dear."

I glanced from Sirius to the woman. "Ah-who the hell are you?"

"Ysmay?" Sirius breathes out.

"Hello, Siri." She gave him a blinding smile.

Sirius's shocked look was quickly shifted to one of dislike. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to vi-" She stopped at seeing me raise my hands.

"Excuse me, let me just-" Climbing off Sirius, I held my hand out to her. "Athena Gaunt."

"Black." Sirius snapped, pushing himself off the couch. "It's Athena Black."

"Oh, I didn't know you had a daughter." Ysmay shook my hand, giving me a chilling smile.

I winced at the cold feeling that ran up my arm. Something was wrong. Pulling my hand away from her, I turned around to look at the mark. It was moving, only I didn't feel any pain. Sirius placed a hand on my shoulder, urging me to turn back around. Rolling my sleeve down, I turned to face our visitor. Catching on to her question I nearly gagged. "Not his daughter. I am his wife." I mean she did see us on the couch, right?

The look on her face was priceless. "W-wife?"

Sirius nodded. "Yes."

"Wow." Ysmay chuckled. "I am sorry, I just never saw you as the marrying type Siri."

Okay, that little pet name was getting on my nerves. "Well, he is."

"Ysmay what are you doing here?" Sirius asked.

"Like I was saying, I came to visit my father." She brushed past me and sat on the armchair. But not before shrugging her coat off and grabbing Sirius's glass of whiskey. "He told me you had been cleared and were back here. So I just had to come to visit you."

"By barging in." I mumbled. "Sirius?"

He glanced at me, her, and then back to me. I wasn't sure if I was seeing things, but it appeared he was scared to answer me. "Ysmay is an old friend from Hogwarts."

Her laughter had my ears ringing. "More like I was his first lover." She leaned forward, placing the glass on the table. "You remember what we used to always say, Siri?" She turned to me. "We once made a promise that if we weren't married by the next time we meet, we would wed. Guess I am a tad bit too late."

Okay, this woman was pushing it. "Yeah, I suppose you are."

"But then again we also promised we would only love each other." She laughed it off as some sort of joke. "But be careful love, he can be a bit of a wander."

What was up with this woman? How do you come into someone's house and just start talking like this? Have some fucken respect. Before I could take a step forward, Sirius grabbed ahold of my arm. Looking up at him. I spoke to him with my eyes. 'Kick her out or I will.'

Sirius took a deep breath, running a hand through his hair. "That was back when we were kids Ysmay and frankly I don't understand why you would bring that up. Especially in front of my wife. Secondly, I wasn't the one that wanders into someone else's bed."

'Oh shit.'

She didn't like that if her face was anything to go by. "Right, well that was another reason I came by. I wanted to apologize for any hurt I caused you. As you said, we were kids back then." Standing up, she walked over to him reaching out to touch his face.

Without a second thought, I gripped her wrist tightly. "Don't even think about it." Shoving her hand back a bit too harsh, I stood between her and my husband. "Only one allowed to touch him is standing in front of you. So have a little class and back the hell away."

"Well, I can see where I am not welcomed." Ysmay scoffed, grabbing her coat. "Sirius, I would very much like to speak with you. So when your jailer isn't around, let's meet at our spot."

"Get the hell out!" Grabbing her just below her elbow, I hauled her out of the house. "Come near him again and you will know just how much of a bitch I can be." Slamming the door in her face, I stormed my way back into the living room. "I thought you said there weren't any ex's I had to worry about."

Sirius opened and closed his mouth a few times, completely at a loss. "After our separation, I had no contact with her. I didn't even think her father was still living in London, let alone alive."

"I don't like her." I had never felt this way before. There was a fire burning in my chest and it wasn't going out. It had been ignited when she first spoke. When she began to speak about their past, it had turned into a raging bush fire. Only once I had kicked her out, did it subdue. But it was still there and burning. It had me craving his touch, his love. "Who the hell does she think she is?! To try and touch you!" I looked up at him to find him grinning. "What are you smiling for?"

"Do I detect some jealousy?"

I scoffed, examining my nails. "Of course not." His shoes appeared under my vision. Taking in a deep breath, I breathed in his scent. His finger came under my chin, lifting my head.

"You have nothing to worry about Athena. What happened between her was years ago." Passing thumb over my lower lip, his eyes glazed over with lust. "I truly do love you."

"And I you."

Leaning down for a kiss, he growled at the bite I gave his lower lip. "Shall we finish what we started?"

TIME JUMP:

Sirius and I laid in bed, simply holding each other. I had to go back, Harry and the others would be expecting me. But I didn't want to leave the warmth of being in his arms. Glancing over at the clock, I sighed. "I have to get back. Everyone should be getting ready by now."

"Harry told me about your off-the-books defense classes." Sitting up in bed, he handed me back my shirt. "How is that going?"

Taking a seat on the bed, I slipped my shoes on. "It reminds me of when I first started. We have a few new things we need to try."

"Just be careful Athena." Sirius said. "Hogwarts is is not only being watched from outside but from the inside as well. If you are caught, there will be consequences."

"I know. We are doing our best to avoid that from happening." I said. "We cut them down to two times a week. Always use a different route to get into our hideout."

"Good." Climbing out of bed, he quickly changed into his clothes. "I will not be here for a couple of days. I already have someone watching over Black until I get back."

"Where are you going?"

He shrugged. "I don't know yet. We just got orders to be prepared to leave for a few days. No more than a week." pulling me into a kiss, he rested his head on mine. "I will let you know as soon as I can when I get back. in the meantime, please be careful."

"I always am."

Time jump:

Arriving on the outsides of the school, I noticed classes weren't out yet. In fact, we should be starting the last of the day. Making my way down the corridor, I headed towards the last class. There wasn't any point of missing in on what Remus was going to teach. After the whole fiasco with Sirius, we implored and pleaded with Remus to stay on and teach. He was literally the only teacher we liked and the only sane one. If you overlook the whole werewolf thing. Stepping into the classroom, I found no one else, but a rather small cage in the middle of the classroom on a desk.

Walking over to it, I placed my hand on the cover. Glancing around I found no sign of Remus. "A peek wouldn't hurt." Lifting the cover just enough to get a glimpse, I stared into three sets of eyes. "Not what I was expecting."

'Who are you?'

'To dare enter our domain.'

'Now you will face our wrath.'

"Blood hell you can talk!"
