Summery: When the Wolf looked into Rose, what did he see?
Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who, or any of the characters in this story
Notes: This is going to be quite a short fic, although I might write another chapter or two, depending on how people like it. Also, writing in italic means it's sort of a subtitle whilst bold is quotes from the episode
The Wolf
These humans were stupid, all of them, just meat for him to devour, just new flesh to keep him going. Except one-the blonde girl. She had knowledge, she had intelligence, she had seen things beyond this world and she had fought them.
Courage
She was brave and loyal, two valuable qualities in a partener. She was a companion to a man, someone called 'The Doctor'. He had intelligence too, way beyond any factors of this planet. He was alien. But this girl...she was alien too.
Wolf
Deep inside of her, deep inside of her soul lay something familiar. Her courage, her loyalness, her strength all came from something. A wolf. This girl had seen the Wolf, had the Wolf inside of her. It was a different kind of course, but it was still Wolf.
Light
Her transformation had been different. It had been a light source, a powerful light source brighter than the sun which had triggered it. Light. A true Wolf's worst enemy.
"You...You have seen it. You have had the Wolf inside of you! You are burning, you need light. I need only the Moon!"
Rose
The Wolf, that thing was just looking into her. The worst thing was, she could see what it was seeing. Courage, Light and Wolf. Real Wolf, the blood running through her veins was wolf-like, the bones that supported her were wolf-like, everything had that wolfish tinge. The Courage-wolves were brave weren't they? The Light-that had made her transform, the Heart of the TARDIS. The Wolf...
Something came back to her suddenly, a memory of sorts or maybe just a dream? 'I am the Bad Wolf. I create myself. I take these words, and scatter them through time and space' I am the Bad Wolf. I am the Bad Wolf. What the Wolf said was true. She had been a Wolf. She had seen the Wolf. She had had Wolf blood in her veins. They were the same her and the Wolf, like two families joined as one. They were two sides of the same half. There was no difference.
"I don't know what you mean" replied Rose, lost in her own thoughts, "We are completely different."
Authors Note: I hope you enjoyed that, the idea just popped into my head and I had to write it down. I was wondering if I should do another chapter, like if Rose was worrying about it later on in the TARDIS and throughout the episodes. Tell me what you think please as it means a lot to me (and I can take flaming!) and if you think I should write another chapter. Thanks for reading!
