Chapter 42 – Out for Blood

Rain was fitting for the moment as the day was ruined but at least put out some of the fires. People were horrified to see where was bombed. Several family homes, a children's hospital, (ironically) Garaki's hospital, a few spots in Deika, and a few police stations. People were passed, and a few choice people were beyond enraged.

The screams of rage would fill the air. Lesser villains scurried like roaches into the dark corners for safety. Bakugo would race home to find his house wrecked…and his father being pulled out of the rubble by firefighters. Izuku would find the floor he lived in ruins, Kyoka to find her home ruined, and Endeavor was not so lucky either. A mere kanji was not enough to know who did this…but a tip to who did left with the media was. All pinning the blame on Nine and his crew, all according to Rendo Nexus's plan. Back in the warehouse, Nine got up to look at the mirror seeing his appearance changed. Nine now had small flesh-colored horns on his head and his eyes ringed with black marks. He could feel it…the energy in the air and all around him. He started to laugh….and turned to his friends.

"Ugh, Nine….are yo-"

[~OAA~]

The Anti-Hero Trio and several Pro Heroes were hot on the trail for Nine. Nezu had put his foot down barring Class 1-A from taking part in going after Nine despite protests. It was orders from upstairs and it was something that angered both Bakugo and Izuku.

"I sense him…and a few other powers…there are fading fast." Sapphire Shadow said as they descended down to the building.

Endeavor incinerated the door for them to come to a grizzly scene. Nine feeding off the energy of his friends before turning to the hero with a crazed look. Nine kept laughing as his body began to mutate from the energy and quirks he took from his friends. Those horns on his head grew and gained a darker color as claws and fangs grew out. Clothing wrappings formed around his arms glowing an eerie red.

"What the fuck am I looking at?" Sapphire Shadow asked.

"Someone who hungers for power and will do whatever it takes!" Nine said as his hair extended into blades.

"Get down!" Miruko said as the heroes dived out of the way.

"Where is he?!" Nine roared. "The one who can complete me!"

With a slash, Sapphire Shadow severed off Nine's right arm only to get swatted into the wall. Nine looked at the bloody stump before regrowing a new arm, one more beastly without flinching.

"Look at that, I can regrow limbs. Can you?" Nine asked with a twisted grin looking at the hero.

Without looking, he caught Endeavor's punch before elbowing him in the face, breaking the flame hero's jaw, before whirling him into the ground. Nine sunk his fangs into his jaw absorbing Endeavor's energy.

"Aren't you a delicious li-" Nine said as Endeavor was trying to fight him off. "STOP BEING A LIL' TEASE!"

"Sinnyu Invisibus!"

A pair of glowing boulders smashed into him sending the villain through the wall.

"You know magic?" Nightshade said helping Endeavor up.

"Andoite runs through the Tennyson bloodline, I'd be foolish not to use it." Omnious Omega said. "But we need to retreat."

"But-"

With a roar from that hole, a stream of fire came at the heroes who could only get out of the way before the fire incinerated the entire building. Out came Nine, who now had a head of flames with flames flickering from his eyes.

"Fuck!" Endeavor snarled.

Nine coughed.

"I can't control this fire…but you have children you can. I should pay them a visit…" Nine said before turning into fire and soaring into the skies before going out of sight.

All Might arrived late to the fight only to see the aftermath.

"We got a problem." Ominous Omega said. "I don't know how, but Nine has Osmosian DNA."

Before the Pro Heroes could ask, Nightshade explained what they are….and what they could do.

"This makes him extremely dangerous. If we don't the means to kill this bastard before he absorbs enough energy, he'll overwhelm us." Sapphire Shadow said. "We need to move, now!"

[~OAA~]

Shoto was already on the move when he got the call from his father. Quite frankly, Shoto wanted to defy orders to not go after Nine, but he was glad to realize that was not a wise idea. He picked up his siblings and was on route to Deika. Considering Nine's state and a warper Dabi being on a loose, Shoto debated if taking the siblings off-planet would be safest.

"Is he all right?" Natsuo asked.

"He is. He's injured, but he's recovering. We need to foc-SHIT!"

Shoto swerved to dodge a blast of blue flame before slamming on the brakes. There was Touya with a big grin on his face with a blue flame in his hand walking up.

"Hello brother, where's fa-"

"I don't have time for this!" Shoto yelled. "I-"

He could sense him.

"Fuyumi! Take the car and drive! NOW!" Shoto roared.

"But…"

"GO NOW!" Shoto said as Natsuo took the wheel.

Shoto leapt out of the way as Nine landed on the ground with a crunch. Shoto could not help but be nervous given what he could sense off of Nine. Touya turned towards Nine with an expression of anger.

"This one is mine, so fu-"

Before Touya could even finish, Nine extended his hair nearly slashing Touya's throat before lunging at him. Raising his flames to their maximum heat with his right hand, Touya fired off a Flashfire Fist unleashing a torrent of blue fire hoping to incinerate him. He thought it was over until a hardened strand of hair slashed the arm he used to attack. The burnt face of Nine was slowly healing as he stalked towards Touya like a zombie.

"Touya…Touya…I don't think you realize." Nine said before his voice changed to his father's. "Who are you messing with?"

Then Shoto and Touya saw the flicker of white flames come off Nine as he began to mutate. Nine had returned to his normal voice again.

"What's the matter, boys? The chapter's soon to end, but the story's far from over!" Nine said with glee.

Both Todoroki boys were thinking the same thing.

OH SHIT!

(A/N: It's funny, Nine hasn't even absorbed Touya's energy yet and he's already screwed up like him. Thanks, Endeavor! But in all seriousness, I realized Nine would and should be a threat. A showing of what an issue AFO could be if he had warper powers. Funny story, I actually forgot I wrote this and the prior chapter. I was quite focused on TWG, but it's a good time I remembered considering FFI has ended.)
