Well at least as far as fanfiction is concerned, it is actually April 27 right now where I am, but hey, it is still April 26 somewhere.
As a special present to all of you, I made a new chapter for all my stories… or at least that is what I was aiming for. I couldn't finish one for To Be the Best or Naruto Guardian of the Mist but have no fear, I haven't forgotten about them.
Also, I have yet to proofread these chapters so there may be a few typos, but I will look over them now and upload the fully proofread chapter.
In the meantime though, enjoy :D

Chapter 9 – Time Changes People
As usual, Issei walked into school with four girls around him, and as usual, people were still talking about him much to his dismay.
"Honestly is everyone in this school a gossip?" Issei thought in exasperation.
The rumours at one point had become so outrageous that Issei laughed; hearing that they thought Issei was an alien who was growing girls out of pods to eventually take over the earth really amused him.
"Although, what exactly am I doing with so many girls? Impossible it couldn't be." Thought Issei deeply.
"Did I really create an accidental harem? This is unbelievable. How did I miss this?" Questioned Issei in shock.
Issei sat down at his desk, after which Motohama and Matsuda came over.
'Issei, how can you keep so many girls around you? Please teach us your secrets?' Pleaded Matsuda, hands held together in a pleading gesture.
'Yes, will you not enlighten your two brothers in the ways of gathering women?' Requested Motohama, obviously the more collected of the two.
'It is simple really, he is smart, strong, handsome and not a huge pervert, in other words, everything you two are not.' Said Aika Kiryuu, another second-year student in their class.
Kiryuu wore spectacles like Motohama and had messy brown hair, some of which was tied up into two ponytails that hung in front of her ears, with numerous bangs hanging over her forehead.
'Hey, I'm smart!' Shouted Motohama indignantly.
'Yeah, and I'm strong!' Added Matsuda with a nod.
'But you are both huge perverts, so it doesn't count.' Replied Kiryuu in a singsong voice.
'Or it could be that they noticed something about Issei that you two are lacking in.' Kiryuu said mysteriously, as she pushed her glasses up so they glinted in the light and looked at Issei's lap, which unnerved him and made him turn away slightly.
Motohama and Matsuda's jaws dropped.
'How would you know that?' They shouted.
'You aren't the only one able of calculating measurements with a glance.' Commented Kiryuu.
'Motohama do you think she has an ability like yours?' Questioned Matsuda in shock.
'I-impossible.' Stammered Motohama.
'Don't be so sure.' Said Kiryuu wagging a finger from side to side.
Issei's phone vibrated and he quickly checked his messages.
Can we meet at four, your house? Irina xo
'NO! Impossible; you have more girls hanging around you, who is this girl tell us Issei?' Shouted Motohama.
'Tell us now how many more you are involved with, keeping this from us is unforgivable!' Added Matsuda.
'Did you hear that Asia, you have even more competition, you had best get a move on otherwise you won't be able to.' Started Kiryuu, before Asia cut her off.
'Ah Kiryuu please!' Squealed Asia, as she covered Kiryuu's mouth.

Around four the doorbell rang at the Hyoudou residence.
'I'll get it!' Said Issei, answering the door before anyone else could.
'Hi-ya Issei, how's it going.' Said Irina, chipper as ever clad in her big robe with the hood down.
'Good, yourself?' Replied Issei.
'Well I can't complain I suppose, although we have been having little luck finding the thieves.' Said Irina, before pouting slightly.
'Heh, in that case, I'll give you guys some help. Mum, I'm going to go hang out with Irina for a while now!' Said Issei.
'Alright dear but be back before it gets too dark.' Replied Issei's mum.
'Ok bye.' Said Issei, before he stepped outside still in his school uniform and closed the door before motioning for Irina to lead the way.
The two walked in a comfortable silence, Irina happily looking around and Issei happily watching her.
'So what was it like in England?' Asked Issei breaking the silence.
'It was fun, they had lots of unique buildings and the holy people there were very nice, oh and the parks were beautiful there. It is a shame we couldn't play there together.' Said Irina enthusiastically at first, before slowing down at the end.
'Come on now Irina, we're together now, aren't we? That's all that matters.' Said Issei with a smile, which eventually made Irina smile as well.
'You're right, how have you been since I left? Did you meet lots of cool people?' Asked Irina happily.
'Yeah, but none were as cool as you. I still can't believe that before that day I thought you were a boy.' Said Issei with a small chuckle.
'Well you know otherwise now, right?' Asked Irina, with a strange hint of urgency in her tone.
'Yep, you are Irina Shidou my best friend and most definitely a girl.' Said Issei, getting another smile from Irina while also relieving her a bit.
"I am so glad Issei knows I am a girl, that fact that he called me his best friend is just a bonus." Thought Irina, happy that Issei now knew she was in fact a girl, or rather, a woman.
'Did you learn any cool attacks from Mr Dragon?' Asked Irina childishly.
'I might have.' Said Issei with a small smirk.
'Aw come on, tell me then, why would you keep it a secret?' Whined Irina.
'Uh-uh, I get to keep some secrets, after all, if I tell you all my attacks you will figure out a way to counter them all.' Said Issei teasingly.
'B-but I would never fight you Issei, you can tell me one or two attacks, right?' Asked Irina.
Issei quickly glanced around and noticed they were alone.
'Oh well I suppose.' Said Issei before taking in a large amount of air and breathing out heavily as if he was sighing, unlike normal however, a quick burst of flames came from his mouth.
Irina gasped with stars in her eyes and Issei winked conspiratorially to her.
'Our little secret.' Said Issei with another wink, before whistling a tune.
'That… was so cool!' Shouted Irina, getting Issei to chuckle as she badgered him, asking how he could do that, which he didn't reveal, making her pleas intensify much to his amusement.

The sun was starting to set and the odd group of Xenovia, Kiba, Koneko and Saji were waiting in a park not too far from an abandoned church, for Issei and Irina while conversing.
'Well you should know that the mastermind behind the "Holy Sword Project" was deemed a heretic and is now on the side of the fallen angels.' Said Xenovia.
'Really, what is his name then, tell me?' Demanded Kiba scathingly.
'Valper Galilei, the man known as the "Genocide Archbishop".' Said Xenovia.
'So he has a connection with the fallen angels… I will need to ask Issei for a favour then it seems. In return, I should tell you a few days ago I came across a person who had an Excalibur, I am sure he is the one killing your men since there was a dead body not too far from where he confronted me, his name is Freed Sellzen.' Said Kiba.
'Ah that nut job again, just great.' Said Issei, arriving at the end of Kiba's speech with Irina in tow.
'Yes, and it might benefit you to know that he intends to run you two with his sword, then kill you with his Excalibur.' Said Kiba gesturing to Irina and Xenovia.
'Some lowly stray exorcist won't be able to touch me.' Said Xenovia uncaringly, with Irina nodding in agreement.
'Heh, I'd like to see him try.' Threatened Issei ominously with a dark chuckle, causing all of them to step back slightly.
'Anyway, put this on, we disguise ourselves as priest and sisters in an attempt to lure the thieves out.' Said Xenovia, as she handed Issei a long robe similar to the one they wore.
'That's it? No wonder you've made no progress. Sneaking around with your auras this low won't attract anyone, but I think I can help you there.' Said Issei, as his gauntlet appeared.
'Raise your holy aura a bit after I boost, so when I transfer it to you two, it boosts your aura.' Said Issei, as he placed his hands on the shoulder of both church members.
As the two increased their holy aura, hands clasped in prayer, the devils backed off slightly, not wanting to be any closer to them than they had to.
'Boost. Transfer.' Echoed the voice from within the Boosted Gear, as a portion of energy was transferred into Irina and Xenovia.
'Wow, this feels amazing.' Said Irina with a giddy smile.
'Yes, this will definitely attract the stray.' Added Xenovia with a nod.
The group all donned their hoods and set out towards the church. It seemed as though luck would be on their side tonight as halfway towards the church, an intense burst of killing intent was directed at all of them.
A white haired figure leapt off a nearby rooftop and tried to cut one of their heads off, but they all jumped back evading the attack and surrounding the figure.
'Oh, you guys are better than the last person sent here.' Said Freed in excitement.
As the group took off their respective hoods revealing themselves, Kiba engaged Freed with gusto, with Saji using a bizarre ability, that looked like a strange tongue coming out of the mouth of a lizard, which wrapped around one of Freed's legs, to keep him in place.
With the appearance of a strange old man who instructed Freed on how to use the power afforded to him he cut through the line coming from Saji that was holding him in place. In response to this, Xenovia and Irina charged at Freed as well, before Freed pulled out a ball of light which he slammed on the ground and disappeared, as the ball exploded in a brilliant flash of light blinding everyone. Xenovia, Kiba and Irina made to follow after, but two oppressive auras made themselves known.
'Exactly what is going on here?' Asked Rias with a smile, which unnerved everyone gathered.

After the scolding of the Occult Research and Student Council members the groups dispersed and went their separate ways. The church duo left first, followed by Kiba who once again apologised for worrying Rias. After Kiba left, Issei left as well, leaving Sona, Rias, Koneko and Saji.
'Saji, what have you learnt?' Asked Sona in a strict tone of voice.
'Honestly, I really can't say based on what I have seen, he could very easily side with either faction given the right push, if anything though, I think he would choose the angel faction.' Said Saji.
'This is most troubling indeed.' Said Sona after some thought.
'What are you talking about?' Asked Rias.
'You see, as I have stated, Issei is someone who needs to be watched in order to bring his true motives to light, you might foolishly trust him due to him saving you from Riser, but the fact remains he is an unknown.' Said Sona harshly, getting a frown from Rias.
'Don't you think spying on him will make him distrustful of us and make him more inclined to going against us?' Retorted Rias.
'Indeed that is a possibility, but it is better to take out the first piece in a game of chess than wait to lose one of your own first.' Said Sona, before she and Saji left via magic circle, leaving the red- and white-haired girls alone.
'…President?' Asked Koneko.
'It is nothing, don't worry about it.' Said Rias, earning a nod from Koneko, before the two of them left via magic circle as well.

As Issei arrived home, he went up to his room and sat there going over the nights events before he felt a massive surge of power. The four other supernatural beings in the house quickly came to Issei's room.
'Yes, I felt that as well, as I am sure all of you did, get ready, you have ten minutes. Something with this much power is not something we can ignore.' Said Issei to the four, who then dressed and equipped themselves ready to go.
As the group readied themselves, a large light spear plunged into the ground in front of them just outside the Hyoudou residence. Issei looked up and there in the sky floated a ten winged man, his black hair and pointy ears along with his sharp facial features practically screamed evil to Issei.
'Well now, imagine my surprise when I hear the Red Dragon Emperor's wielder was a dragon himself, not only that, but he possess great power, coupled with the fact that it can be doubled instantly in his Balance Breaker form, well, you have gained my attention Issei Hyoudou.' Said the man.
'You must be Kokabiel… I see why Azazel warned me about you, you aren't someone I should take lightly.' Said Issei, causing Kokabiel to scowl momentarily.
'Yes, that fool is rather smart, despite how contradictory that sounds, however he is not fit to lead the fallen angels with his laid-back attitude and weak desire for peace. War is what we need, so the fallen angels will finally be able to show we are the superior breed.' Said Kokabiel, before another large spike of energy came from the school.
'Xuelan, Karlamine, please go to the school and see if you can deal with the problem over there.' Said Issei, to which they nodded, before setting off, all the while eyeing Kokabiel warily.
'Do not fear pawns, I have no interest in you, by all means, go to the school, I left my pet there to entertain you, with luck, he will force either the current Lucifer or Leviathan to appear and I will be able to set into motion my plans for war.' Said Kokabiel mockingly.
Issei nodded at the pair, and the two turned fully and sprinted off to the school.
'Since I know you want to fight, can we at least move somewhere else?' Asked Issei.
'That is fine with me; choose your gravesite carefully, as I will kill you where you stand no matter where it is.' Said Kokabiel confidently.
Issei nodded to Raynare, the signal to take her real form and picked up Asia and followed after Issei, who sprinted to the park. It was a large open area with only a few trees scattered around, forming an almost dome like centre stage in the middle, which gave plenty of room for them to fight.

At Kuoh Academy

Rias, Akeno, Koneko and Kiba stared down a gigantic beast-like dog with three heads, a short distance off from them was the centre of all of Kiba's hate: Valper Galilei, along with his faithfully insane comrade, in the form of Freed Sellzen.
'Hmm, it seems Kokabiel has decided to allow you some reinforcements.' Said Valper, as he felt two devil energy signatures break off from where Kokabiel currently was.
'Where is Kokabiel?' Shouted Rias.
'Why of course confronting the Red Dragon Emperor.' Said Valper, getting Rias to gasp in shock.
'Yeah, but you shouldn't worry about him, not when you have me to contend with.' Said Freed, as he levelled his blade at the group.
'Indeed, we had planned to steal the Excaliburs of the two sent here by the church and fuse all five together but three should be enough to keep you all down, after all, Cerberus wouldn't want his food to go down too easily.' Said Valper, as the three headed dog snarled, releasing some flames from his mouth.

Halfway to Kuoh Academy

'Are you sure it was a good idea to leave those three to fight Kokabiel?' Asked Xuelan, as they ran towards the school.
'You remember what Raynare said, if Issei boosts enough times he should be able to beat Kokabiel and based on how arrogantly he let us go, I am sure he will allow Issei to power up which, will be his undoing.' Said Karlamine, before stopping abruptly, as two figures burst from the trees.
'What are you two doing here, where are you going?' Asked Xenovia, as she and Irina walked up to the two devils.
'Issei told us to go and help at the school while he takes care of Kokabiel.' Said Karlamine.
'What?! Issei is going to fight Kokabiel?' Questioned Irina in fear.
'They might be lying to us Irina, don't believe them so easily.' Chided Xenovia.
'We aren't lying, Issei is going to fight Kokabiel, and he has Raynare and Asia with him while we were sent to go protect the school.' Said Xuelan.
'Where is he?' Asked Irina hurriedly.
'He confronted us at Issei's house, but I am sure they will have moved from there by now.' Said Karlamine, before Irina shot off in the direction of Issei's house.
'Irina, wait! Damn it!' Cursed Xenovia, as her partner ran off without a word.
'We need to get going to the school, if you still don't trust us, come and see for yourself.' Said Karlamine, before taking off with Xuelan.
'Oh Lord.' Said Xenovia while pinching the bridge of her nose, before following after the duo.

At the park

'Take your Balance Breaker form, I will wait.' Said Kokabiel arrogantly.
Issei scowled but nonetheless, took his Balance Breaker form, clad in his red armour, he settled down into a stance.
'Ah, and to make sure that turncoat doesn't involve herself in our fight I have brought along another fallen angel, one who I have personally trained for a while now.' Said Kokabiel, gesturing to his side.
From the darkness, another fallen angel appeared, wearing his old fedora and trench coat.
'Dohnaseek.' Said Issei flatly.
'Indeed, it is I little dragon, alas, as much as I would love to fight you once again, I am here for another.' Said Dohnaseek, as he turned his eyes on Raynare.
'Raynare, remember, stay calm.' Issei whispered his last words of encouragement, before Raynare and Dohnaseek moved slightly away from Kokabiel and Issei and headed off somewhere else, so they didn't get tangled up in the battle of two titans.
'Asia, stay back and be careful.' Said Issei to which Asia, nodded and backed up about ten metres, so she would be out of range of the fight.
'Well then why don't you start boosting until you are at least half my level?' Mocked Kokabiel.
'Boost, Boost, Boost, Boost, Boost.' Cried Issei's gauntlet in rapid succession, before he charged at Kokabiel.
Issei pulled a fist back and leapt into the air, aiming a punch right at Kokabiel's face. Kokabiel merely swatted the hand away and axe kicked Issei down onto the ground.
'Really, is that all you can do, to think I expected so much more?' Said Kokabiel in disappointment.
'I'm just getting started!' Growled Issei, before boosting continuously at a rapid pace.

At Kuoh Academy

'Freed, get out of my way, I only want Galilei's blood on this blade.' Said Kiba menacingly.
'Sorry, but I can't let you do that, a shitty devil like you has no right to touch someone as great as him.' Said Freed.
Kiba growled and charged at Freed. Freed raised his sword and rapidly slashed down, before disappearing and reappearing behind Kiba, kicking him in the back, before disappearing again and reappearing in front of him following up with an attempt to slice his head off, which Kiba barely blocked.
'You won't be getting near Valper if you die by my hands.' Taunted Freed, before three new arrivals appeared.
Xuelan, Karlamine and Xenovia finally reached the school and observed the scene.
'You two, go deal with the giant mutt, I will take on the Excalibur wielder.' Said Xenovia, before shooting off after Freed.
'Well that was rude, giving us orders.' Commented Karlamine.
'I suppose, but maybe we should go help them.' Said Xuelan, as she watched Koneko land an axe kick on one of the heads of Cerberus, who aside from having his jaw shut from the kick, was relatively unaffected by it, while also shaking off a blast of lightning from Akeno as if it were a cool breeze.
'I guess.' Said Karlamine, before the two headed off to engage the hellhound.

'So, it seems you have become rather complacent, doing nothing but playing around with the Red Dragon. Although, I shouldn't be surprised I suppose, you were always weak.' Said Dohnaseek disdainfully.
'If I was so weak, why did you serve under me?' Questioned Raynare angrily.
'Well, I may have severed under you because I saw it as a chance to get closer to you.' Said Dohnaseek with a sly smirk.
'You wish!' Shouted Raynare.
'But that aside I was always stronger than you.' Said Dohnaseek offhandedly.
'That's what you think; I bet you still only have two wings.' Said Raynare, before Dohnaseek smirked and two more sets of wings burst from his back.
'S-six wings, but how?' Questioned Raynare in shock.
'Like I said, I was always stronger than you, I was on the cusp of attaining my second pair of wings around the time of that terrible plot you thought up, and after a few weeks of training directly under Kokabiel I was able to gain my third pair, you have no chance against me now.' Said Dohnaseek in amusement.
'You aren't the only one who trained.' Said Raynare, as a second pair of wings burst from her back as well, but ultimately, left her with only four wings in comparison to Dohnaseek's six.
'Well, I must say, I never expected you to have gained another pair of wings. I guess you trained a little after all.' Said Dohnaseek, insulting and complementing her at the same time.
"Training, hah! I went through torture to get these wings." Thought Raynare, before remembering just how much she struggled to get to this point.

'You're improving.' Commented Issei in approval.
Raynare was hunched over on her hands and knees breathing heavily. Every breath she took sent agonising pain through her ribcage, which she was sure was at the very least, heavily bruised. Worst case scenario, she would have a couple of broken ribs.
'You *huff* insane!' Rasped Raynare heavily.
'Oh come now, I'm not insane, I know exactly what I am doing to you and believe me, this stuff is just the tip of the iceberg.' Said Issei, getting a disbelieving look from Raynare.
'I mean it; do you have any idea how hard it is expanding magical reserves, of a human no less? I was practically dead on my feet every night for three years and your reserves are already half the size of mine without any real training. You take what you have now for granted, but believe me, you are lucky.' Said Issei thoughtfully.
'Why do I need to do this anyway?' Asked Raynare tiredly.
'Well I did say I won't let you stay weak… it just so happens increasing magical reserves is the easiest way to achieve this by helping you gain an extra pair of wings.' Explained Issei patiently.
'Y-you can actually do that, just like that?' Asked Raynare in shock.
'Well yeah, but it won't be easy, so if you really want this, prepare for lots of pain.' Warned Issei, getting a small nod from Raynare.
'I'll do it!' Declared Raynare with conviction.

'Yes, finally! I did it!' Shouted Raynare, as she floated in the air, two pairs of black wings behind her, proudly supporting her.
'Yep, you sure did, that was even faster than I thought, over these past two weeks you really have improved a lot.' Complimented Issei, before Raynare swopped him and tackled him into a hug, pushing his face into her chest.
'Thank you, thank you, thank you.' Repeated Raynare, ecstatic over the fact that she was no longer just a weak fallen angel, but rather, was now a small force to be reckoned with.
'My pleasure.' Mumbled Issei, head still planted in Raynare's bosom which caused her to shiver in excitement, before she pulled his head back.
'This is the best thing that has ever happened to me and it was all thanks to you, I don't know how to thank you.' Commented Raynare in joy.
'Just promise me, that when the time comes, and you are pushed to fight to your full capabilities: please use your brain.' Said Issei, before Raynare slapped him over the head.
'Why did you have to ruin such a good moment like that?' Asked Raynare with a pout.
'Please?' Requested Issei, mock pleading with her.
'Alright, I promise I won't do anything stupid, happy?' Asked Raynare with a grin.
'Ecstatic.' Said Issei, with a grin that matched Raynare's.

'You'll see, these wings aren't the only things that have changed about me.' Said Raynare, as a pink light spear surrounded by a red spiral of energy around it formed in her hands.
'Likewise.' Said Dohnaseek as two tonfa like blue spears formed around his arms, with two golden crosses on the tip of them.
'Bring it on!' Shouted Raynare, as the two fallen angels charged at each other.
