Cameron's parents slipped out of the room still unnoticed by Cameron and House. Cameron yawned again, "Feel any better?" No reply, "House?" Cameron looked up at him, he was fast asleep. "Poor guy" Cameron smiled. Grabbing the couch throw she covered him with it before curling up next to him on the couch. "A little bit more sleep won't hurt"

Before long, Cameron was fast asleep next to House, who had woken up shortly after feeling something heavy hit his shoulder. Placing his arm around her along with some of the throw, he relaxed back into the couch. Something about this moment felt right to him, trying to shake the feeling he ended up in waking Cameron, "Sorry"

"No, no I should get up anyway, you relax though" Cameron yawned, rubbing her groggy eyes.

"Why don't you relax and I get you some coffee?" House offered

"Would you?" Cameron looked so comfortable leaning against the chair

"Yea, you sit, I'll make…where's the sugar?"

Cameron couldn't help but laugh, "Second cupboard on the right, teaspoons third draw on the left by the sink" Cameron called, "Oh and the mugs are in the cupboard next to the sugar on the left"

"Thanks…" came House's muffled reply.

Ten minutes later he came back in with two steaming mugs of coffee, "So tell me more about your life here" he began.

"No, it's your turn" Cameron replied

House sank into the couch next to Cameron, "I knew you'd try this"

"Don't start House, you've heard plenty about me, which I'm sure will end up being told to Wilson the first night you go home" Cameron snapped

"Alright fine, I grew up in a not so happy family; nothing was ever good enough for my Dad. I left for University as early as I can, however I stuffed around, in doing so is how I met Wilson, he changed my life. Honestly, he pulled my up, and got me back into Lacrosse, and we graduated together. Did our fellowships on opposite sides of the country, but we we still close and both came to Princeton when our Fellowships were up. Met Stacey and you know the rest" House shot through his life

"Wow, I never thought I could meet someone who could sum up their life in a minute, but you sure can" Cameron smirked, "So, did you just come here to find more out about me?"

House laughed at this, "Yes and no, yes because you were becoming the unsolvable puzzle and no because, I will only say this once and once only so listen carefully, Wilson was right once again…I didn't want to…people say you have no choice and I usually like to prove people wrong…"

"Just spit it out House, I've heard worse from the neighbours every tractor pull"

"I came because I…I like you…a lot" House finally spat out

"Wow, I don't know what to say, oh there is one thing…mum already figured that out"

"Oh well…really?"

"Yea she told me yesterday" Cameron stated

"Yesterday…I'm slipping" House mumbled to himself

"No not slipping just defrosting" Cameron compromised

"Mmm…maybe" he muttered to himself, "Still I don't want this spreading over the hospital!"

Cameron grinned into her mug, "Of course not, got that rough and tumble persona to keep up, heaven forbid someone realised there was a human underneath the five o'clock shadow, jacket and runners!" she mocked

"Don't start with me" he grinned menacingly

"Or what?"

"You don't want to know" he kept grinning

"House?" Cameron squeaked

"Greg" he corrected

"Greg" she repeated

He stopped grinning, hand went to his pocket, pulling out his phone Cameron realised it was flashing and vibrating, "House" he growled, "No I'm not, I'm on holiday" Cameron assumed the silence was because of the other person talking so she slipped from the room with their mugs. House's voice had begun to rise in the other room, "Where I am is none of your business! No I will not calm down, go back to your husband Stacey!" Cameron's heart dropped, it was Stacey. "Cameron was due for a holiday; I let her go on one…Cuddy told you I was with Cameron?" Cameron knew the next answer would be, "Well I'm not with Cameron!" but she was wrong, "So what if I am with Cameron? Me being here with Cameron has nothing to do with you! I chose to come, I asked to come…don't start with me Stacey" once again silence.

Cameron made herself busy by preparing a light lunch, just sandwiches for them, her parents were no where to be found, in fact no one else seemed to be home. "Yes I went out with her, actually I was wrong about her…I might. You got married, so why can't I?" Cameron dropped the plate she was holding, "Crap" she muttered.

"Hang on Stacey" House rounded the corner, "You ok?" he walked over to her inspecting the damage, back to the phone "I wasn't talking to you". House looked at Cameron, "What happened?"

"It just slipped" Cameron was white

"Hey it's ok, it's just a plate" House chuckled, he went quiet again the phone was talking, "Look Stacey I can't talk right now, Allison's dropped something" Cameron stared at him gong whiter, "I don't care what you think or say Stacey, Allison has dropped something and is that…Allison!" House dropped the phone. Cameron had just hit the floor. Ignoring his pain he dropped to the floor amidst the broken plate, "Allison?"

"Hey you" she smiled up at him

"Hey you" he grinned back, "What happened?"

"You said something about marriage, I dropped a plate, must of gotten cut…you kept talking…head went spinning, floor hurts" Cameron said

"Ok, I'm just going to clean this up, you lay here and keep talking to me" House scanned the room for a broom, spotting one not far away he reached for it, "Ow…ow…you owe me…" wincing he swept away the pieces. Swallowing two pills he sank back to Cameron's side, "Ok I'm just going to check for cuts" House spoke gently to her.

First he checked her palms, nothing. Then her arms, nothing. Her torso, avoiding her breasts, nothing. As he went to roll up her pants he noticed a few cuts on her feet, not enough to drop her. Rolling her pant leg up he realised she had a good gash along her right leg, "How in the hell…"

"Greg, the knife…I dropped a knife too" she whispered

"How did you drop a knife at that angle?" House muttered, "Alright you're going to have to stay there, apply pressure here while I get my bag" House manoeuvred himself up and to his bedroom, thank Wilson for making him keep a first aid kit with him at all times. Grabbing that he bandaged her up, helping her to her feet and to the couch. "Good job" he snapped, "Just great"

"Don't start with me, if you weren't so damn…so damn…" Cameron couldn't finish

"So damn what?" he asked

"Why were you two talking about marriage anyway, she's already married!" Cameron asked

"We weren't talking about her, she was upset because I'm here and not there" House replied, "She wants me back"

"But…but she's married" Cameron stuttered

"I know, remember I said that"

"You also said, 'so why can't I?'. Who are you going to marry?" Cameron asked, resting her head on the couch cushions.

House looked at her, "Honestly?"

"No Greg I want you to lie to me" Cameron rolled her eyes

"Ok fine then, I want to marry Chase" House grinned, "There you go truths out"

Cameron hit him playfully, "Come on Greg don't clam up now…there's no one else to see you be normal"

House watched her, 'just tell her' "This weekend has been an eye opener"

"Yea, for me too" Cameron smiled at him, "I never thought of you as someone who would want to have kids and get married, or just how good you actually are with them" she grinned

"Julia is a great kid" was his reply

"You'd be a great dad"

"No, too miserable, want the kids, but they'd resent me"

"Then marry someone to even you out, you good cop bad cop and her…well she would just be the balance. You would be you and through that she can keep things stable. Don't not have kids because you think you would be a bad father, have them because you would be great parents" Cameron stated

"How are you able to tell people this?"

"I had great parents, not just a bad dad or dad" Cameron replied, "My parents completed each other, still do. That's what Brian and I had, until he died. I was out-there and he was quiet"

"You…out-there?" House chuckled, "Dr. Cameron an out-there person! You don't take risks Allison, you make calculated decisions"

"No Greg, you make calculated decisions, you live your life in the hospital and through Wilson. I live, I take the chances and get burned, and that's why I married a dying man. That's why I asked you out, not to change you, but because I liked you. I take risks on things you couldn't and won't" Cameron stated

"I take risks" House stated bluntly

"With you're patients, not yourself. As soon as the table is turned you freeze up and hid behind your scars" Cameron pushed

"So do you"

"No I don't! I asked you out, and even then you hid behind your scars to push me away" Cameron went to rise, he stopped her, "Don't House, you will always live behind your scars, even if someone actually loves you" tears began to prick the edges of Cameron's eyes.
