Saturday came faster than House would have liked. The past few days had been filled up with preparing for Saturday and now that it was here, House wanted it to be Thursday again.

"Calm down" Cameron stepped up beside him, "Wilson will be here shortly, he just rang me to say he's a few minutes away"

"That's what I'm so nervous about" House admitted, facing Cameron, "The last time I proposed to someone I ended up in hospital fighting for my life"

"Well, you haven't been hospitalised yet, and besides I think if something does happen to you I could probably fix it" Cameron stepped into his embrace, "I am after all a doctor" she winked before walking away.

"Heaven help me" he muttered.

"It will, if you keep asking" John took Cameron's now vacant spot.

"I'm not supposed to be this…"

"Happy?" John asked, "You make her happy and in turn it will make you happy. You chose to ask her to marry you Greg, no one else. There must be something within her that keeps you going" John patted him on the back, "Enjoy the feeling Greg, it's normal to be nervous"

"Thanks John" House smiled, before groaning as Wilson's car came into the driveway, "He was supposed to be alone!"

"Well, well, it looks like he brought a few extra people" John chuckled, "Just keep breathing, you'll make it"

House left John and walked towards the car, to his surprise a much shaken Wilson stepped out, "I swear I had nothing to do with them coming, I was tied up in the back of the car until I called Cameron a few minutes ago" Wilson was still pale.

A victorious Cuddy stepped out of the passenger side of the car, "He refused to tell me why he needed Saturday off, so we made him take us…not his fault"

"You better get a beer from inside, you sure look like you can use one" Wilson faltered when Greg spoken nicely, without malice towards him.

"Ah…thanks" Wilson stammered walking towards a smiling Cameron.

"Jimmy, I'm so glad you could make it" Cameron gave him a hug, her engagement ring not in sight.

"Glad to be invited…why are we here?"

"Sorry, not mine to tell, beers out the back with the guys. I'll introduce you in a minute" Cameron pointed towards a circle of chairs, mainly filled with men.

"Cameron!" Foreman called from beside the car, "Surprise!"

"I was told only Wilson was coming" Cameron smiled receiving a hug from Foreman and Chase.

"Yea, Cuddy thought it would be fun to torture House, so we tagged along" Foreman explained.

"Great well, I'll take your stuff inside, beers are where Wilson is" Cameron faced Cuddy, "Don't worry; the more female friendly drinks are inside with my mum and the female side of the family"

"Thank god" Cuddy disappeared inside, leaving Cameron and House one their own.

"I think that went well" Cameron sighed.

"Wait until we tell them we're engaged" House muttered.

"Oh no, you're telling them, I'm sitting back and letting you take the lead" Cameron grinned grabbing some bags.

"Here, let me help" House took the heavier ones and the two made their way up to the house.

Night had fallen and still no announcement of the engagement had been uttered to the four new doctors. House walked to the front of the congregation, "Ah hello, attention this way please" House could hear a now familiar little voice still talking, "Julia you don't stop talking no Steve" house warned, causing most of the Cameron's to chuckle, word had spread of the deal House and Julia had.

"Sorry Uncle Greg" she squeaked going silent.

"Thank you, ok most of you already know what tonight is about, I think only four people are yet to know. I came here about two weeks ago now, knowing none of you and preparing myself for a mind numbing experience. What I got was regular family meals, scotch and cigars with the men of the Cameron family, I actually did some physical labour until of course my leg blew out and my body shut down. I know I was hell for you all in the first few days of pain, but you understood and you just ignored me for the most part" Harriet and John laughed.

"I came here with a work colleague and found a friend" Wilson broke into a smile while Cuddy's jaw dropped. "I came here miserable and now I'm happy. In two weeks I've become a friend, an uncle and soon a son, because earlier this week, I found things hard to handle, I found myself loosing it and I had one thing, well two if you want to be honest, that kept me sane. I had Cameron and Julia, yes you, come up here" Julia ran to Greg's open arms, "This one here got a thought into my head that I couldn't shake until beginning of this week, and now it's the reason we're all here tonight. To the four doctors that arrived today, contain yourselves, because what I'm going to say will more than likely shock you. I'm getting married"

Foreman had to hold Cuddy up as she began to faint, Chase went white and Wilson kept on grinning. "Yea I know, it's sudden and in some ways it's not. I proposed to Allison Monday morning and she said yes" House couldn't stop smiling at Cameron, she walked up to him planting a soft kiss in his lips before picking up Julia.

Wilson found House by Cameron after the speech, Julia hanging off his arm. "So, you didn't tell me why?"

"I thought you'd like the surprise"

"You're actually getting married!" Cuddy shrieked from behind, "Now I'm going to have to do something about the team, I may now have to split you all up!"

"Oh don't get so dramatic, Dr Howard works with his wife in Radiology…nothing hanky panky happens there that I know of" House smirked.

"Really?" Wilson asked, "I never knew they were married, it's the red head isn't it?"

"Yea I think so"

"It is" Cuddy snapped, "Alright; just keep the hanky panky to lunch hour and outside work hours! Now let me see!" she gushed to Cameron who diligently held out her hand.

"House surprised me with it Monday when he was supposed to be buying beer for the dinner that night" Cameron smiled. House and Wilson left the two gushing with the other women.

"Are you sure you want this?" Wilson asked

"More than anything, if you hadn't noticed I'm nice…ok nicer than I usually am"

"Yea I had noticed that, so you know I'm expecting to be the best man" Wilson grinned.

"I've been yours for three weddings already, it was about time you returned the favour" House chuckled.

"Wow, I still can't get over the fact that you're getting married, and to Allison!" Wilson laughed, "You realise that Stacey still wants you right, and that when she finds out about you getting married she will hit the roof"

"I don't care, look at her Jimmy. She single handily, albeit with the help of Julia, destroyed everything single barrier, making me laugh, feel and joke. How can I not have seen this before?"

"Because you didn't have her in your face 24/7 and you had made yourself believe that you didn't need anyone, let alone some 30year old doctor confessing her love for you. Which by the way who said it first?"

"I actually think I did…this, what we have it's nothing like Stacey and me. This is honest, I'm honest!" House laughed.

James joined the two best friends, "Couldn't help but overhear, who is Stacey?"

"My ex John, a very bad one. One of the reasons why I'm alive and not dead, but also the reason why I'm with a cane" House explained

"Oh son, you don't need her in your life anymore"

"Don't want her in my life, her husband needs our care so she's working at the hospital until he is all better" House sighed, "How soon will Harriet allow the wedding?"

"I reckon she'd have it tomorrow if she could…but knowing my Ally, she will want to at least wait until she finds the perfect dress" John smiled lovingly at Cameron.

"Allison!" House called, "When do you want to get married?"

Cameron faced House confused, "I need to find a dress!" She yelled back.

"Yea I know, but how long?" House grinned

"I don't know, a few days…you know I'm not that picky" Cameron replied.

"Go shopping tomorrow, and see if you can find one!"

"Why!"

"I want to marry you before you change your mind!" he laughed, everyone was now listening to their conversation. Whether they wanted to or not.

"Oh I know this perfect dress, I can have it sent here from Princeton" Cuddy whispered.

"What does it look like?" Cameron asked

"It's a simple white, corset bodice. The dress itself is made of silk and it has a sweetheart shape neckline with lace coming out of the corset and spilling across the bodice. It's absolutely perfect!" Cuddy gushed

"How do you know this?" Cameron asked

"Window shopping, wedding dresses are my worst habit" Cuddy blushed. "I can have it here in two days"

"How does three days sound?" Cameron called back.

"Sounds great!" House grinned before looking at John and Wilson. "I'm getting married in three days"

A/N: I figured a fast wedding would seem appropriate to House's character, if he ever got married. There is no picture of the dress as I just thought it into existence.
