author note I back with new chapter I told you you guys I'd get part 2 done in November. I'm surprise no one left any review last chapter and no suggestion for omakes yet keep in mind so long their within reason I may write them even if it's via a guest review as long as it fellows the rules I set like you want to see Marcy and Blake at the winter ball that doable
Chapter 8 temple of wit part 2
We resume as heroes made their way into the next room which had a floor that was covered is four different color tiles mostly pink, blue, yellow, and only 3 green
"Hey a dance floor" Anne said
"Not quite watch." Marcy said as she tossed a rock that landed on a pink tile that cause a pillar of fire to shoot out of the ground burned it
Just then a new message appeared on the wall
"I got this one a dangerous room what to do? Don't be jealous of my hue." Blake said read along before tossing two rock one landed on a blue tile which got crush by a large, spiked crusher while the other landed on a yellow tile and was struck by lighting breaking it to bit
"Ok pink is death by fire blue is death by crushing and yellow is death by lightning I'm following Marcy." Anne said as Marcy was about to jump only for Blake grab her by her hood
Gek hey." Marcy said
"Let's test green out first before we jump shall we." Blake said as he tossed a rock onto one of the green tiles only for nothing to happen. "Look like a rock isn't heavy enough sign ok now you can jump."
Which she did landing a green tile making it go down and showing that it was safe
"Solved it." Marcy said
"Not yet look like there are three of them so I guess I'll take this one." Blake said using vine to swig down and landing on the second green tile. "We just need one more person any takers?"
For some reason Anne and Hop pop were arguing on who would be jumping
"Will one of you just jump or we're going to be here all day." Blake said
It was Anne who jump landing on the last green tile which cause the others to turned green and the door to the next room to open meaning they solved the puzzle and as Marcy ran ahead with other following behind Blake pulled Anne and Hop pop aside to tell them something
"Look you two whatever happen between you guys can you please put in aside until after were done here." Blake said as he picked up pace to catch to Marcy
As they enter the third room what awaited them was a dark room with a light shining on a flipwart table
"I don't believe it it's flipwart." Marcy said
"What's flipwart?" Anne asked
"It's basely Amphibia's version of chess." Blake said
"Yeah, I've been playing it in Newtopia I got so good I even beat King Andrias." Marcy said
"Impressive they say king Andrias is one of the best flipwart players around." Hop pop said
"Both sides have a wart, and they try to flip it." Marcy explained while holding the white wart
"Like the king in cress." Blake said
"Hey what does this say? Hop pop asked pointing to another growing message on the wall
"Any commander whose wart falls may never again set foot inside these temple walls." Blake read aloud
"Look like you only get one-shot at this good thing one-shot is all I need but first to set up the broad." Marcy said as she put one of the pieces on the board
As she did that a square shape hole appear under Polly that she fell in, and the rest of the room lit up reviling
"A giant flipward board." Marcy said as Polly appeared on broad as a small tower with arms and a sword
"Polly, are you ok?" Sprig asked
"Okay, I got a sword baby I better than all of you." Polly said
"Yep, she ok." Blake said with a deadpan
"Marcy, do you think we should stop this could get dangerous." Anne said her voice filled with worry
We don't have a choose Anne you want to get home, right? Then we need to play, or we'll never recharge the stone" Marcy said
"Sign hate to say it but she right." Blake said
Marcy put three pieces on the little board and the three males fell into their own hole's
First to appear on the big board was Hop pop as a bishop
"Oh, I get a specter." Hop pop said
Sprig was next to appear as a pawn
"Ha, ha you're a pawn." Polly laugh
"Aw man." Sprig said
Blake was the last to appear as the ostrich knight which was the queen's equivalent (A.N. I think)
"Awesome I get a lance and ride a bird who the best now Polly." Blake said
"Aw man" Polly said
"Wow now Blake really is your knight in shining armor huh Marcy." Anne joke which made Marcy blush
"I will lead us to victory in the name of lady Marcy." Blake said
"Why thank you good sir." Marcy said. "Already get ready Anne there a good chance you're next." as she set up the rest of the pieces but Anne didn't fall into a hole
"Look like I'm not in the game, well you guys have fun I guess." Anne said but after she said that she fell into a hole
With that Anne appear on the board as the black ostrich knight
"Wait what." Hop pop said
"Anne no." Sprig said
"Traitor." Polly yelled
"This can't be good." Blake said
"No guys this is good thing I'll just play badly and sabotage the other team Don't think of that did ya temple." Anne said
"Wait Anne I don't think." Blake said but Anne interrupted him
"Ha here we go sabotage." Anne said trying to smash one of the black pieces with her lance only for a pair of energy cuffs appear on her wrists
"That will work." Blake said finish his sentence as energy cuffs appear on his and the planter's wrists
"I can't move." Anne said
"What going on?" Sprig asked
"Our hands are tied literally." Hop pop said
"Don't worry everyone I'll just play well enough so that none of you get hurt it'll be like playing on hard mode fun right." Marcy said
"You wouldn't be saying that if you would the pawn." Sprig said
"Okay white goes first so it's our move let's flip this wart." Marcy said moving one of the pawns
"You got this buddy." Sprig said as the pawn moved into place
"Now let's see how they respond." Marcy said as one of the black pieces moved in front of the pawn and smashing it to bits
"I don't like this game." Sprig said sounding like he was going to cry
"Marcy please be careful with us." Blake said sounding a little worried
"Isn't that supposed to be the girl's line?" Anne asked
"NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR JOKES ANNE." Blake yelled
After some time, all that left of the black team was the Wart, Anne and an archer while the white team had the Wart, Polly, Hop pop, Blake, Sprig, two other pawns and an archer
"I admit this temple is good but not good enough. Marcy said
"You got this babe." Blake said
"Gotta, we win." Marcy said as she moved the archer which blasted the black wart to win the game
Only for the wart to dodge it, laugh at our hero, turning around and smacking its butt at them
"Ok that just plan rude." Blake said with a deadpan
"What no guys this thing cheats." Marcy said
"How are we supposed to win if the game cheat?" Sprig asked as the black archer fire on one of their pawns destroying it
"I don't know but I'll think of something." Marcy said
"Well, how about you give me a shot at flipping this wart." Blake said
"Good idea go for it." Marcy said moving his piece into place
"Take this and that and some of these." Blake said while trying to hit the Wart, but it kept dodging
"No, it's not working." Marcy said trying to think of a plan
Grrrr hold still you troll of a toad." Blake said as the wart kept dodging and making rude gestures, so he started to charge up a wolf blast "That it try this on for size ahhhhhhhhhh." As his zap with green energy
"Oh my gosh Blake are you ok?" Marcy asked her voice fill with worry
"Ok that hurt I guess using my magic in this game is against the rules." Blake said as Anne's piece move toward him
"Oh no Blake watch out." Anne said as their lances clash only for Blake's to break into pieces
"Oh no this isn't good." Marcy said starting to panic
"Marcy think of something quick." Blake said as he used his vine to block the lance only to get zap again." Ahhhhhhh
"What am I doing?" Marcy asked herself
Ahhhhhhh
"Blake no." Anne said started to cry as she forces to try to hit him
"Blake, Anne who care about this stupid game I forfeit." Marcy said knocking off her own Wart over but nothing happened. "It's not working maybe I need to flip the big wart too."
As she jumped onto the big broad it turned red, and the piece started to attack her
"What the heck is going on? Sprig asked in a panic
"I'm trying throw the game, but it won't let me. I need your help." Marcy said
"Help you how?" sprig asked only for Marcy to throw him at the white wart knocking it over
With that all the pieces turned to dust and the energy cuffs disappear
"Blake, are you ok." Marcy said as she rushed over to him
"I know this will sound hypocritical coming for me but right now I hate magic." Blake said before coughing up some smog and falling over
"Marcy, I don't understand." Anne said
"Yeah, why'd throw the game?" Hop pop asked
"Because it wasn't worth you guys getting hurt. I was so caught up in trying to prove how smart I was to win I couldn't what I was about to lose." Marcy said as she looked at Blake
"Will in your defense that game was a ding dang cheat." Sprig said
"Yeah, I still think you're pretty smart a little obsessive though." Polly said
"Thanks Sprig, Polly." Marcy said just as green arrow pointing out of the temple. "I got it temple I wasn't smart enough, but I can find the exit okay."
"Hey, don't listen to this cheat of a temple you're still the smartest girl I know heck you can even give Mason a run for his money sometimes so don't let this dusty old building tell you otherwise." Blake said as he was trying to stand up
"Thanks Blake." Marcy said as she helped him up and support his weight and walked out of the room
Outside the temple the group walked out with their heads down
"Guess we won't be charging the stone today." Anne said
"No and since I lost, I'm not allowed back in the temple you guys will have to try it all again without me." Marcy said
"We'll find a way don't worry." Blake said
"Hey guys the failure arrows want us to keep going this way." Polly said pointing at more arrows
"Sigh well, if we're going if we're lose, we might as well go all the way." Marcy said as they followed them to
"What the outhouse." Sprig said
"Wait a second." Blake said opening the door reviling that the inner walls of the were covered with glowing green carvings
"No way guys this is where we charge the stone." Marcy said
"But we failed." Hop pop said
Marcy walked up to a hole which cause a pedestal that had a slot for the gem on it to come out of it and one last message to appear on the wall
"Only the worthy will have the wisdom to choose whether it's more important to win or have the humility to lose a choice is made to save thy friends and honestly doesn't that make you a winner in the end." Marcy said read aloud
"That last part was oddly casual." Anne said
"Of course, why didn't I see it sooner temple wasn't just testing for intelligence it was also testing for humility." Marcy said
"Well don't give the temple a chance to change its mind charge that bad boy." Polly said
Marcy placed the gem on the pedestal, and it flash green with Marcy's eyes turning green for second before it was drained light faded and the gem was no long gray but green
"We did it." Anne said
"We did it" Marcy said just as a green beam of light shot out of the gem and into the distance
"Guy think, its leading us to the next temple." Blake said as Marcy picked up the gem and kept turning it but the light never changed directions
"We should be able to triangulate its location with a bit of work this just keeps getting better." Marcy said put the gem in her pocket
"That will save us so must time intend of finding them ourselves." Blake said
"Hey, you guys wanna go straight to the next temple tonight or take a break first?" Marcy asked
"Break please."
"Alright then let get back to the house." Blake said
One flight later the Planter's house
"Home sweet home." Sprig said as they got off ether Joe or Merlin
"After the day we've had I just want something to eat and crash somewhere so this body can rest." Blake said
"So where are we staying?" Marcy asked Hop pop
"Oh, right I forgot to setup rooms for you two, so I guess you'll have to share the fwagon for now." Hop pop said
"WHAT" they yelled their faces turning red only for Hop pop to start laughing
"Just kidding Marcy will stay in the fwagon while Blake will bunk with Sprig." Hop pop as he walked back to the house laughing all the way
"NOT FUNNY HOP POP." Blake yell his face still red
"Hey Blake, can you put my bags in the fwagon while I write a report to King Andrias." Marcy said her face still red and not being able to look the boy in the eyes
"Sure, thing besides I need to grab my sleeping bag out of there anyway." Blake said
Later that night
Marcy couldn't sleep the events of the day plaguing her mind filling her mind with guilt
"Sign I need to tell them the truth even if it leads to them hating me for it." Marcy said as tried her best to fall asleep.

"It is done." The pink newt holding Bloom's new outfit
"Wow time really flew by." Mark said
"Alright go try it on." Newt said handing it to her
"Wow man this is some nice work." Bloom said looking it over
"Come on I want to see it." Mark said pushing her to the privacy screen
"Alright keep your pant on I'll be done in a sec and no peeking." Bloom said as she went behind a privacy screen to change. "So how do I look."
She was wearing a gray short sleeves shirt with a black chest plate with yellow claw marks painted on with a holder for her spear over it also has a bandolier with slots for potions, black skirt, boots and a witch's hat.
"You look great really gives you a real warrior witch look." Mark said checking her out
"Well, I am a magic user but no cape for me last thing I want is for it to catch fire like yours." Bloom said with a laugh
"I still don't know how that happened." Mark said
"Were you hoping for something more revealing?" Bloom asked in a teasing tone
"No." Mark said blushing. "Maybe" under his breath
"I heard that" Bloom said with a giggle as he turned even redder
"Alright now that is taken care of, we can now start researching the box and getting you kids home." Andrias said
"Alright lead your majesty." Bloom said
As the trio made their way to the archives not knowing that this would be the hardest research project they'll ever do.

Omake 4 the winter ball part 1 idea by me
We open with Blake, Anne, and Sasha at a picnic table in the park
"Ok you two I ask you here today because I want to ask Marcy to be my date to the dance." Blake said
"Ha pays up." Sasha said as Anne handed her 5 dollars
"Sign do I want to know what was about?" Blake asked
"We made a bet to see who would ask who out first." Sasha said
"So, what the plan?" Anne asked
"My plan is to ask her while we're playing creatures and cavers with an ice dungeon, I came up with I just need you two to play along." Blake said
"We're in"
Later during the game
"As your party enters final chamber, they find message on the wall that tell them that I order to unseal the twin specters two members of your party must perform a ceremonial dance." Blake read aloud
"Ok so who it going to be?" Sasha asked
"Sir Wolfmage walked to the rogue Mars and said Marcy will you be my date to the winter ball?" Blake asked
""YES." Marcy said as the trio squealed in joy hurting Blake's ears but right now, he didn't care
