AN: I'm watching MHA now to know the general plot, and as I watch it I can't help but think how it will happen in the fic, and with my inspiration blooming I can't resist the urge to write, so here's chapter 5.

Edit: I got a couple reviews for this chapter, which pointed out problems, so I rewrote a couple parts, namely the firestorm fighting and Shigaraki's reaction. I hope they are better now.

Chapter 5:

After waking up from the dream, I attempted to analyze the sentences using the information I already had, or more like my theories since I had very few facts at my disposal.

"Don't reject the void." must be about my unwillingness to use a full transformation. Or maybe the other part, the fear powers? I haven't touched them since, so maybe it's about that.

"The true power awaits." Yes, it definitely points towards the fear powers.

"We are inevitable." Now, this is a little concerning, since this would mean that outside of my control these powers would activate sometime randomly, which would be just the worst.

I didn't have much time to dwell on this however, as I began to make my way to the school.

One thing that was irritating was the swarm of reporters waiting for any students (like me), preying on us like hawks, and descending whenever we got close to school.

"What's All Might like as a teacher?!" was the question they asked, but they were loud, and annoying, and too many flashing lights, and so I bit out a "Loud." and tried to go on my way, but they wouldn't let their prey escape that easily, so I allowed my skin to show my irritation, and seeing the cracks made them run away like a swarm of frightened rabbits.

With the class beginning, Aizawa began speaking:

"I saw the video about the combat test yesterday." His next sentence was aimed at me, and nothing that I didn't already knew was said: "Kamiyama, you're talented, but you need more control." I replied with a rushed "Yes sensei.", putting my hands under the table, for the cracks not to be visible. It's not like I didn't know I needed more control, did I? It would be great if he told me how, since if I trained by myself it would be nothing but disaster.

"Now let's get down to homeroom business.

Sorry about the late notice but today I'll have you" and I swear the dramatic pause here was for added effect, "choose a class representative."

Immediately shouting began, and cracks also began appearing, but I ignored both of them for a little, and thought about being class representative, or at least vice. It would mean that people would approach me with suggestions, or anything else that they don't have the power over but I do.

At least that was my first thought. Then I realized the stupidity of it? Power? As a student? In a school? The first part of my fantasy, people coming to me, would surely happen, but I'm pretty sure other than saying forward their own thoughts I couldn't do much. Probably filled with boring meetings and all that. Not good at all.

Aizawa just went back to sleeping, the lazy bastard, and the shouting was broken by Iida:

"Silence please! It's a serious responsibility to lead others, not suited for everybody. It requires trust, dedication and leadership capabilities. Democracy is used by nations to chose their own leaders, so we should use it as well."

He'd probably do well as one, so I wrote him on the paper given to me.

After a quick voting session, the votes turned out this way: Iida - 2, which was kind of disappointing, since I expected three: me, Ochako and Iida. He must not have voted for himself, out of ""honor"". Momo also had 2 votes, so she and Iida had an equal number of them.

Momo let Iida be the president, while she remained the vice.

During this conversation Aizawa managed to wake up, and he also overheard it, as evidenced by his next sentence:

"Well then the representative is Iida, the deputy is Yaoyorozu."

At lunch I've sat with Iida and Ochaco again, since I had no other friends yet.

"Congratulations on getting elected." was how I started the conversation.

"Thank you for your faith in me, I suspect that's how I earned your vote." This, Iida managed to say in a very aristocratic way, which can't really be conveyed well in this recount of mine, so just take my word for it.

Ochako didn't fail to notice his way with words, and commented on it.

"Iida, you're always soo . . . sophisticated." she said "Are you a rich boy?"

"I tried to change my talking so I wouldn't be labeled like that." Ochaco stared at him like a puppy, waiting for more answers, and I was curious too. Money was not something that I had abundantly here, and robbery would be problematic, so an ally with wealth would be great.

"My family have been heroes for generations, my brother already following the tradition, as the Turbo Hero Ingenium!"

"Amazing!" was what Ochaco said, and it was the same thing that I thought but didn't say. This was great, having actual pro hero available in case shit really hits the fan.

"He is a great hero who gives a great example, and I want to be just like him!"

Before we could continue our conversation, an alarm rang. Which was bad, obviously it was bad, but it was made worse by UA having excellent security systems, so anyone being able to get in must be really smart or really strong. Neither of which was good for us.

"There has been a level three security breach." came the voice of the announcer.

I locked onto another student at our table, and asked probably way too fast:

"What's level three?!"

"Someone's trespassing on school grounds." That just confirmed my fears.

"All students please evacuate outdoors promptly." The voice didn't need to say it to me twice, I was already on my way to get the hell out of there.

"Uraraka, Iida, come, we must go!" I shouted back at the two of them, to dispell any thoughts they have on trying to be a hero and finding the intruder. We needed to get out fast, otherwise we would be held down by the group of panicking students.

I estimated we had about 3 seconds until the shock wore off.

"Iida, grab Uraraka and run! Uraraka, activate your quirk on yourself so he can go faster!" Thankfully they reacted quickly, and a split second later Iida was already next to me, and I grabbed onto him as well.

After that, it only took a couple of seconds for us to reach the exit, thanks to his super speed. When I looked around, I spotted none other, than the fucking press. Just great, these fucking imbeciles just decided to enter the school because why not, obviously nothing bad would come from it would now?

"Doppo, are you alright?" asked Ochaco, thankfully stopping the cracks that began appearing on my body. I put my hands in my pockets, and swiftly answered.

"Yes, just, panicked a little."

After us, students began running out, frantically looking around, and feeling much of the same anger I experienced at seeing the press. They were heroes, however, so they probably wouldn't have done anything. That however, "just wouldn't do", if the press isn't shown it's place, it'll just get in again, and when there will be a genuine threat no one will believe it. So, I started a little rumour, just a sentence to a couple people near me, making sure neither Ochaco nor Iida heard it, they wouldn't take it well.

"Someone should show them what happens when you disturb UA." I said in a low voice, but the group behind me heard the words, only the words thankfully, they had no face to associate with it, and I could already hear the murmuring behind me. I quickly moved back next to Ochaco and Iida.

Nothing came of it however, as the group that went towards the reporters were stopped by Aizawa before they could do anything but intimidate them, and the police arrived shortly after.

Now the heroics class, that turned out to be something, as Aizawa came in and told us that we were going to do rescue training, with him, All Might, plus another pro hero.

After changing into my hero clothes, I went down to the bus, where Iida was busy trying to coordinate everyone into a proper sitting order. Needless to say, he did not have much success, since he misjudged the interior design.

The bus ride I planned to spend in silence, but others did not seem to agree with my sentiment, and chatter ensued. I tried to keep away from the main area, where 10 people sat facing each other, and so I took a place next to Todoroki, he at least was quiet, and appeared to be ignoring me. I had no problems with that, so we spent the ride in mutual silence.

We arrived to be greeted by Thirteen, a hero specializing in rescue operations. She greeted us, then we entered a large dome, that had a lot of different environments set up. Most students were already amazed by the presence of a pro hero, and this was just the cherry on top of the pie.

One thing I noticed is that All Might was nowhere, and Aizawa appeared to as well, as he shared a couple words with Thirteen in silence, and appeared to become irritated.

"Before we begin, let me say, one, er, or two, more like three, so a couple things.

I'm sure you're aware of my quirk: Black Hole." Of course I was, I was fascinated by quirks, and did a lot of research. It was a great quirk, wasted on only using it for rescue. Imagine the possibilities! It could disintegrate any evidence, hell, put a black hole in the villains headquarters and that's it for them! But no, we're heroes and we don't kill, and this magnificent quirk just rots away.

"I used it for saving people, but it can also kill easily. Some of you also have quirks like that, right?" Damn right I had, and I had no shame in using it that way. Just didn't do it pulbicly, the life of a villain was an uncomfortable one.

"In a superhuman society, personal quirks have been regulated so that doesn't seem to be a problem at first glance.

However, please don't forget that some quirks only need one wrong move to kill another person. With Aizawa's physical test, you caught a glimpse of the true power your quirk can provide, and with All Might's training you experienced the danger that it could bring upon others.

This class isn't like that, here you learn to save lives, not destroy them. These powers should be used to help others, and unfortunately that sometimes means harming people, but whenever you can, you should avoid that, since that's not what a hero's purpose is!"

Wow, those words were pretty inspiring, but I'm only in this school so I can use my quirk publicly without consequence.

"Thank you for listening!"

"Right, now that we're done with that, it's time for..." Aizawa couldn't finish his sentence, as suddenly all the lights flickered, and an ominous portal opened in the center of the dome. It was really slow, like, I'm sure Iida could have gotten there in time. These villains don't have any sense of urgency I swear. Aizawa too, noticed it.

"Gather together and don't move!" were his words, but honestly what good does it do to say this to a bunch of overly heroic teenagers.
"Thirteen, protect the students."

My classmates also began to notice the portal, from which villains began to come out. My first thought was that they were ugly. Most of them were large, and just had the look of stupid expendable muscle, but there was one who was just standing there, not even giving a proper villain speech.

"Don't move! Those are villains." said Aizawa, and most people were shocked by this.

After a small period of denial, and a couple of smart words by Shoto, most students began panicking a little, but Aizawa quickly put a stop to it, before jumping down into the crowd, in which he quickly began to beat everybody. I swear, villains should learn that grunts don't work against combat-tested pro heroes. I did not observe him for long, however, as I swiftly began leaving the dome along with everyone else.

Nothing could go according to plan however, as we were running a big black cloud materialized in front of us, looking just like the portal the enemy used.

"Nice to meet you." it started, but I already broke off my arms and began to slash right into the place where (what I assumed to be his) eyes were, however it just lost cohesion than reformed a couple meters away.

"That was close, I almost forgot that you weren't just students, but aspiring heroes as well.

My job is to capture you, and torture you to death!"

It took me way too long to realize, but this was Kurogiri, the teleporter, but I only had this revelation after we were captured in a world of darkness, and teleported to different places.

I landed in the firestorm section, and it only took a couple seconds for villains to get circle me. The first one to attack me was one that looked like a bear, some kind of mutant-type quirk probably. He attempted to just claw at me, like I was a sitting duck. I transformed my arm into a broadsword, and using that I pushed him out of my way, into the fire. If it was up to me that would have been the end of it, but they didn't see it that way.

The bear-person got out of the fire, trying to save what was left of his fur, but he was angry, I could see it.
"We're going to kill you!" He roared in an animalistic voice, and this appeared to motivate the others to attack me as well.

The first to come was a person with four arms, each of them having a knife in them. He didn't use this to it's full potential however, as he used it in a square formation, and thus putting my arms in an x shape allowed me to defend. I broke up this crossing of swords between us, and as he was pushed back further I slashed across his chest as well, just to be sure he wouldn't stand up again.

This little display of power caused others to be more cautious, not advancing on my position, but waiting in the circle they had around me. Well, all except the bear person, he foolishly charged at me, and in his anger he didn't see my arm that morphed into a spear, which impaled him through his chest, and launched him into his fellow thugs, impaling the one that he was directly sent into. I could have just continued fighting them, one on one, but that would be long and tedious, and so I used these two corpses as a maze, that I spinned around myself, hitting all of them. I looked onto my arms, and the blood was already absorbed. Good.

I began to run, and I saw a villain running down the street. I prepared to incapacitate him, however before I could do that, he was hit by Ojiro, or as I liked to call him "tail-boy".

"Ojiro, wait!" I shouted at him, before he could have leapt away.

"Kamiyama? You're here as well?" He asked, surprised at seeing me. I quickly nodded, and tried to put a sense of urgency in my voice.

"Yes, but we must get out and help the others!" In truth I wanted to get out to see if the situation was salvageable, if not, well, running never failed me.

"You're right, but what about the villains here?"

"I incapacitated them, they gathered where I landed." I answered without missing a beat, since even if they weren't they did not pose a threat, and could be easily disposed of later. This appeared to reassure him however.

"Let's go then!"

We managed to get out, and I looked around: We were the first ones to escape from our place, all the others were still in theirs and Aizawa was in the midst of fighting.

I couldn't see most areas, but in the water one two students were staying on the boat, trying to avoid a lot of villains in the water.
"Go and help sensei, I'll dear better in the water." I said to him, since his quirk didn't help him in the water at all. Neither did mine on the surface, but I was sure I could figure something out.

I ran to the shipwreck site, my brain working overdrive. I couldn't extend my arms that much, and swimming would put me in a negative position.

If only I could fly. "But maybe I can?" That was the thought in my head, since I remembered how dragons with two wings and two legs looked like.

If I could have enough momentum, I could make a big jump and sort of glide downward. Plan decided then.

I created the largest wings I could out of my arms, hoping they would be able to carry me. I jumped into the air, and began gliding, towards them.

I was too slow however, as I watched a giant arm made out of water rise up, and slash the boat in two. I hope nobody died, that would be baaaaad.

I realized I needed to act fast, so I dived towards them and landed on the head of the one with the water controlling quirk. From wings my arms morphed into long needles, which I sent through the villains in the water, slashing through their bodies, piercing them on different spots. They screamed, not being used to pain I imagine, but I wasn't really gentle either so that must have helped a bit. The same as in the firestorm, I was pretty sure that I didn't kill them, but I wasn't responsible to whatever happened to them after they couldn't swim anymore and began descending in the water.

After I was sure that all of them were immobilised (or worse) I looked on to the boat, searching for my classmates. I found Tsu's eyes, a little scared seeing what I had done to the villains, which was not optimal, but this was not the time, so I shouted:

"Oi Asui, you can jump out now!" My words appeared to give her a purpose, and in a wide arc she left the boat carrying the small one, who had those big balls as his hair.

I thought I would have to swim out, but her tongue wrapped around me and helped me get out of there.

We landed just outside the lake, and as I began running towards him to assist, I saw Aizawa's elbow getting caught in the villain's gasp who had hands all over his body. After he jumped back, I could see the skin crumbling from his elbow, his muscles being visible.

It hit me: That must be Shigaraki then! I didn't recognize him, since fanfiction didn't come with portraits usually.

I increased my speed, I saw that he needed assistance, and so I expanded my arm as long as I could. He did not see, but there was a giant mutant with the beak of a bird behind him.

"You're so cool" I heard Shigaraki say, in that distinctly slightly unhinged anime villain voice "By the way hero, I'm not the last boss." Only then did Aizawa turn, only to see the monstrosity's open brain pierced through by a black needle of void, slowing it down enough for him to be able to jump away in my direction.

It wasn't stopped, however. It still attacked, it just took it a little longer to act. This both scared me and infuriated me, so I increased the size of my needle, and made it work through the monster, in and out, in and out, by the end it was littered with holes. I wasn't taking any chances however, and overflowed it with void from the inside, until it burst like a bubble, pieces of black flesh littering the ground.

Suddenly, Kurogiri appeared next to him. I retreated my arm, and both of them reformed into short swords.

"Shigaraki." he started, but he did not react. He just watched the pieces of the Nomu on the ground, like he couldn't comprehend how it could have possibly happened. His breathing started to become more erratic, his lone visible eye bulged out, his hands formed fists in which his nails cut into his skin.
"You..." he started, his voice having none of the playfulness it did before. "How could you?!" he screamed at me, and began running towards us.

Kurogiri attempted to stop him, by circling him in his portal form.
"Shigaraki! Listen to me!" It appeared that Shigaraki wasn't hearing his words, as he disintegrated the ground under himself to try and get to us.

We just watched, having him run into us without thinking would be highly advantegous, so we did not move on the offensive.

"Kurogiri!" was how Shigaraki started his sentence "I'm going to disintegrate them so hard not even ashes will remain!"

It was in this moment that the doors opened, and the No. 1 pro hero entered, none other than All Might, and using his booming voice he said thefollowing sentence. "Fear not, for I am here!" He was next to us a second later, along with Ojiro, who defeated the thugs that were assigned to him.

It appeared however, that Shigaraki's mind abandoned all logical thoughts, as the face of All Might made his anger rise even higher.

"I'll kill you! I'll kill you All Might!" He was attempting to decay even Kurogiri just to get out and lose to us. Or, probably he didn't see it that way.

It was at this moment that Kurogiri decided to cut his losses, and simply teleported away with Shigaraki, recognizing that they couldn't defeat two pro heroes on their own. With this, the battle has ended.

Students began appearing, coming out of the simulation arenas, and in a couple minutes even the teaching staff came.

Most people didn't have any serious injuries. I didn't have any injuries either, but looking at me most people would have thought something horrible has happened, since from my elbow down there was nothing left from my arms. It wasn't that bad actually, I just didn't have any power left to reconstruct my arms.

The teachers rounded us up, and after checking that everyone was fine, we moved out, where the place was crawling with the police. We were told that we would be questioned later. I got a few strange looks at my stumps, but they were already regrowing so most people dismissed it.

Nothing of note happened, most people stayed quiet during our walk back to the school, where they asked about Thirteen's condition. After that, conversation started, but I wasn't interested in anything anymore for that day, so I left.

AN: Well, this chapter was longer than the others, I hope the changes to canon were good. Once again, if you have any critique or observations, please write a review!

Edit: 2022. 01. 27: I changed it so that Iida becomes the Class President, so if you spot an error in a later chapters relating to this please leave a review so I may correct it.
