Hey there, time for another chapter and this time we will have Tadano first day as devil working under Komi. The idea of him as queen really makes me smile, he is someone that would be perfect on a harem series, because he is such a nice guy.
Also, if you are all wondering why Sona acted that way about Komi, is a whole seriousness situation. We all know she is super embarrassed about her sister, and she blames Komi mother for doing all that. Don't worry she doesn't hate Komi, but she feels frustrated that she never spoke to them or at least try to socialize. It's like the two point of view of someone towards a person with major social anxiety, Rias understand while Sona doesn't. Yes, this is like that. Now lets go back to the story
At the Tadano household.
Hitohito soon waked up from the most surprising night of his life. From this day on he wasn't human anymore and he was going to serve Komi for the rest of his long life. Despite that, he was ok with all this.
''Ok, I guess this it.'' Said him all calm.
He then grabbed his uniform and went to the bathroom to take a shower and get a better sensation of the morning.
Once he was done in the shower and he dry himself up, he looked at himself in the mirror. Then he made his devils wings appear on his back, he just look a bit startled to have those things coming out of his back
''I Guess they are pretty cool.'' Thought him.
Knock Knock
''Hitohito are you still there?' Asked his sister knocking on the door.
''AAAh! Yes, I am just putting my uniform. I will be out in a second.'' Said Hitohito making his wings disappear.
''Are you posing in front of the mirror again? I thought you stopped that after Middle School.'' Asked Hitomi.
''No!'' Said him embarrassed of his previous time as a middle schooler.
The boy soon put his uniform and went out of the bathroom super fast.
''The bathroom is…argh.'' Said Hitohito feeling a bit weird out, like someone was threating him with a knife.
He saw his sister on the door, nothing wrong except she was wearing a necklace with a cross.
''What is wrong?'' Asked Hitomi.
''Nothing!'' Said Hitohito feeling like he had a headache.
''Are you feeling alright?" Asked her.
''Yes, just minor headache. Tell me Hitomi where did you get that?'' Asked HitoHito asking about the cross.
''Oh this? I got from a friend I though it look cool.'' Said Hitomi all calm.
''Why a cross?' Though Tadano in pain.
''Do you want me tell mom that you are sick?" Asked Hitomi.
''No! I am just feeling a bit off, I need to eat my breakfast first.'' Said HitoHito going off.
''Uh…what is wrong with him.'' Said Hitomi felling weird out.
The two siblings didn't know that each of them have been revived. One as a devil and the other as angel, however they werent going to look at other life because that wasn't their style.
At the Kitchen
The kids mother Tadano Jeanne was done making the breakfast. She soon saw her two kids ready and she lay down the meal.
''Kids here you go, eat before is too late.'' Said Jeanne.
''Thanks for the food.' Said the two.
Once they started eating breakfast Jeanne wanted to know where her kids have been last night, both arrived very late.
''So what happened last night Hitohito? Why did you got home so late?" Asked Jeanne.
''I was…with a new friend.'' Said him a bit nervous.
'Oh really?'' Asked Jeanne surprised.
''Yes, her name Shoko Komi and we ended up…talking a lot.'' Said him blushing the last part.
''Are you making out with her?" Asked Hitomi with a smile.
''What! No! She is my friend!'' Scream him all nervous and embarrassed.
''I am just teasing you. Like you will get a girlfriend so easily.'' Said Hitomi with a laugh.
The boy just look annoyed at that. Despite him not being human, he would still try to put the idea of a regular teenager in school.
''What about you Hitomi? You also came home late at night.'' Asked Jeanne.
''I was at friend's house, her name Gabriel and she was showing me a lot of cool stuff.'' Said Hitomiw with a smile.
''Oh that's sound lovely. So are you two having any big plans for this year?'' Asked her
''I am thinking on join a club at school.'' Said Hitohito, a club would be a good place to meet up with the Peerage.
''Me too.'' Said Hitomi thinking of a way to pass off her training as an angel.
The mother was beyond excited, even thought she didn't know the real reason for that, she felt like her two children were ready to start making progress.
''Oh good, this would be great for your university recommendations.'' Said her.
''Yes, I think this would be good for me to have some experience with other groups.'' Said Hitohito.
''I am kind bored, and I would like to have some fun with other people of my age.'' Said Hitomi.
The older woman just smiley fondly at that.
''Well I am glad that my children are making progress in life.'' Said Jeanne with a smile.
The two just smile at their mother as they continue to eat breakfast.
Later
Hitohito and Hitomi were now with their uniform and going to Itan Academy. Once they reach the gates both went towards their classes.
''Well bye.'' Said Hitomi.
''See you later.'' Said Hitohito.
The two soon went their separate ways, now Hitohito felt that weird sensation gone.
''Why do I felt a shiver being near her? It's like someone wanted to skin me alive.'' Thought him.
Later
Tadano arrived in his classroom in time before the class started. He saw Komi sitting on her desk as usual and reading a book.
''Oh Komi-san, good morning.'' Said Tadano to his master.
The girl look with excitement to see her queen arriving, she felt still a bit shy but she need it to stay strong. She then grabbed her notebook and started writing.
''Are you feeling ok?'
''Yes, just a bit odd when I passed down the church, but I guess this has something to do with the whole devil thing.''
''that's good to hear.''
The boy soon seated next to her. The two shared an awkward silence before Tadano asked some more questions.
''So I never fully asked, what is my role in the chest board?" Asked Tadano
''As a queen you are my second in command. You are worthy 9 pawns and have all the characteristics of Rook, Bishop and Knight. You are a very valuable piece Hitohito.''
Tadano looked at this in wonder. He was really that powerful now? Well as the second in command, he need it to make sure that Komi plans were successful.
''I got to help her. Not just as her queen, but also as her friend.'' Thoguht Tadano sensing Komi still a bit shy, hiding her face behind the notebook.
Later
Tadano and Komi were now on lunch break. Both of them just looking around normally, while komi kept writing on her notebook.
''So Tadano do you have any idea of who could be my rook?'
''Oh yes, I think I know the perfect person.'' Said him with a smile.
The boy kept looking for the certain individual with purple hair, and sound found it talking with a ton of people.
''Look!'' Said Tadano pointing towards this individual.
It was a teenager of small height, purple hair, wearing a skirt and an overall easy going attitude. This was Osana Najimi and they had incredible communication skills.
''oh yeah! I saw that show last night, it was super radical. Even made me skirt some milk out of my nose.'' Said Najimi.
''Nice one Najimi!'' Said some students laughing.
Tadano decided to at least introduce Komi as a student, maybe she could at least make a friend already.
''Hey Osana.'' Said Tadano a bit nervous.
''You really flubbed your introduction yesterday. So what do you need? Tadano?" Asked Osana Najimi.
Tadano still didn't know if this was a good idea, Najimi was really good in communication, but they were an odd ball of a person. While he was still wondering if he should or not invite her, Komi appeared behind him.
''Ah Komi! You scared me. Anyway, I would like you to meet Osana Najimi. She and I were classmates in Junior High.'' Said Tadano.
However once he said the word ´´she´´, he knew there was something wrong.
''Wait ´´she´´. Osana, why are you wearing a skirt?" Asked Tadano confused.
''Huh? What are you saying? I am a girl, of course I would wear a skirt.'' Said Najimi with a smile.
''No way! In junior High, you were a boy weren't you?! You used boys uniform all the time?!'' Said Tadano super confused.
''Huh? You´ve must misunderstood everything. You were always a bit cluses.'' Said Najimi with a smile.
''No, no, no, no, no. I don't think so!'' Said Tadano super confused.
Komi looked at that scene in a bit of a confused look. Tadano then returns to her with a bit of embarrassed tone.
''Sorry, is that Najimi was always like this. Gender unknown , pathologic dishonest and simply doesn't make any sense.'' Said Tadano to Komi.
The two then saw Najimi talking with all the other members of the classroom and the other classroom as well. They couldn't deny their amazing communication skills, it was like nothing sounded scary to talk about it.
''They are pretty good?'' Asked Tadano.
Komi saw the way that Najimi was handling conversation and it was pretty much amazing, they were talking with all those people with no sort of problem.
''She would be an amazing.''
''Let's try ask her gentle.'' Said Tadano.
After some of the students left Tadano and Komi went gently towards Najimi, this wouldn't be easy but they need to act cool.
''Hey Osana, can I ask you something?'' Asked him.
''Sure, anything for my dear intimate friend. Shall I satisfy your lust with my body? Do you want me to be part of your harem?'' Asked Najimi.
''What? What harem?! Please don't joke like that in front of komi. What is wrong with you?" Asked Tadano.
''Oh really? Well that's a question for later. Right now, I only have one in my mind.'' Said Najimi.
''What is it?'' Asked Tadano.
''When did you start to hang out with a devil?'' Asked Najimi with a smile.
The two looked at Najimi in shocked and looked around to see if there was anybody else who heard that, luckily there was no one in the classroom and they decided to go somewhere else.
''Let's go to a private place.'' Said Tadano.
On an empty part of the hallway.
The three were now clining to a wall and Tadano was just wondering how the hell Najimi figure out.
''Oh this is not suspicious at all.'' Said Najimi with a smirk, a guy and two girls alone.
''How do you know about devils?" Asked Tadano as Komi looks nervous.
''I could tell that Komi was a devil from just her presence alone. You don't need to be supernatural or some super Christina to feel these types of stuff. And you Tadano, did you became a devil?'' Asked Najimi.
Tadano looked shocked that his childhood friend had also felt that change. He didn't expect that so soon but if Najimi knew so he coudltn hide it.
''Yes, I became one.'' Said Tadano.
''Wow! That´s so not like you. Must have done something really stupid to become one.'' Said Najimi with a smirk.
''Shut up! That doesn't explain how do you know about Devils?!'' Said Tadano angry.
''Tadano, I have over 1000 friends. Don't you think one of them would go on to become a servant? I know at least 8 devils, some of them were childhood contacts that I still keep in touch. I even have one that works for a boring glasses girl over in Kuoh.'' Said Najimi thinking on her friend Tomoe from Kuoh.
The King and Queen just look at each other a bit unsure of what to do next, but Tadano was ready to keep going.
''So let me get this straight. You know that devils are real? Since when?" Asked Tadano.
''Well I guess about 5 years ago, a friend of mine showed his wings and told me about the whole evil pieces stuff.'' Said Najimi surprising the two.
''Oh you know about the pieces.'' Wrote down Komi.
''Yes, they explain to me how this crap and how the whole thing worked, they even offered me to join but I didn't like their boss, so I said no.'' Said Najimi.
''Wow, that's impressive.'' Said Tadano.
''So what can I do for you two?" Asked Najimi
Komi then wrote down on her notebook. She was really serious and really wanted Najimi to be her rook.
''Najimi Osana, I am forming a peerage. I already got my queen as Tadano, and I would like you to become my rook. You will be granted amazing strength and endurance. Please, join us and I promise to take care of you.''
The boy/girl saw that note and was a bit uncertain about this. They soon let down their answer.
''Well…that's not going to happen.'' Said Najimi.
Komi had a look of shock and pretty much felt like a rock. She knew some people would say no to her and not wanting to join her, but this hurts a lot.
Tadano seeing how her master was feeling decided to talk to Najimi in person.
''Uh can you give me moment please?'' Asked Tadano to Komi who was still petrified.
The two childhood friends soon went to another part of the school, while komi still stood there in shock.
''What is wrong with you? Komi is really trying hard! She is very shy and she is trying her best. Why did you say no?'' Asked Tadano.
''Tadano do you think this is an easy choice? I am giving up my humanity and my free will to another individual. I would no longer be human. Do you have any idea how hard this is? I mean see others getting old and not me? Being see as monster by the church? Do you know how many Christians friends I have?'' Asked Najimi sounding serious.
Tadano never thought about that. He was turn into a devil so he didn't die, but other people would have to stop being human and become another race in other to help Komi from now on, he could understand the issue.
''Well I guess you are right. This is a pretty difficult choice, and I pretty much became one to get revived and…'' Said Tadano but Najimi soon started laughing.
'I am just messing with you! I would love to become a devil.'' Said they.
''What! For real?" Asked him.
''Yeah! Cool powers! Strength! Flight and long life! Sign me up! Honestly it took a while for Itan to get an devil who wants to make a peerage.'' Said Najimi.
''So why did you say no" Asked Tadano.
''Its not because I don't I want to become a devil right away.'' Said Najimi.
''Huh? Then what it is?" Asked him.
''Its Komi, I don't think she would be a good king.'' Said Najimi.
''Why?" Asked Tadano confused.
''Its easy my good old friend. She lacks one thing that would make her an incredible devil.'' Said Najimi.
''What is it?" Asked Tadano.
''Communication. I can tell that this girl can't communicate.'' Said Najimi.
Tadano felt a little bad. Yes, this was overall Komi biggest weakness. How can she be a king of a peerage and not be able to talk? It wasn't because of her power; she was really shy in reality. He need it to formulate a good plan if he wanted to make Najimi a part of the peerage.
Hey there, this was a fun chapter to write. Tadano, Komi and Najimi all meeting up and soon forming a bond. After Najimi joins, I will do some contracts chapters, a meeting between Rias and the others and then we will start adding more of the characters. Tell me who do you think will join Komi Peerage and who is getting each piece.
I also have to say that I really like the idea of someone like Tadano in this setting. He I just your average guy and its kind hard not to identify with him. I mean his style is ´´Just a guy´´ and we see him grown and changes. Heck did you know Komi sold way more than High School DxD? Its true the light novel sold a total of 4 million copies in total, while Komi already sold over 7 million.
I almost wrote a second story in like ´´What if Tadano was the Red Dragon Emperor? ´´. Like and he tries to balance school life and being a devil. I like it more than Izuku or Issei, this would be fun.
Sorry for the rants, just getting this out of my system. Also, the next two chapters are focusing on other parts of this world. One on heaven and the others in characters that will appear much later. Thank you all and have a good day.
