A/N: Thanks for all the reviews… I am sorry this chapter has taken longer than normal. I have been grounded because my grades aren't to hot. I sort of want to focus on school a little more for the time being, but I promise you that I will never take over a month to update. But when summer rolls around in like… four months… I will update almost every three days. At least if I have nothing better to do. Well here is chapter six… please read and review!

Joan Marie Mesi: That was the whole point! To shock all of you! Sorry I didn't update QUICKLY QUICKLY QUICKLY, I had tons of homework and like I said my grades aren't so good.

HerFathersJoy: I'm glad you like it! cough cough I mean love it! Hehe! Keep reading and reviewing!

Ginger-haired-Goddess: Karolyn did that cause she is a selfish bitch… lol. I wanted John to be nice. I mean Hermione deserved at least a nice rich guy not Malfoy. Although I really did think about making her date Malfoy, but then I decided that I should be nice to Hermione. Oh and as for your last question… because they are both as stubborn as hell and easily deceived by the other. Keep reading and reviewing.

pinkpygmypuff: Maybe… maybe not! Who knows? cough me cough

Zarroc: They have admitted it to themselves… the real question is when will they admit it to each other? Karolyn because it fit well… she wanted Ron because… she is a mean bitch that wants all the good stuff for herself. Karolyn does like Ron, but only because Hermione does. She is one of those people that only likes what other people have.

Punky Weasley: Yep she is a bitch… She did it to Hermione because she just did… OH and they might make up… might not… P

Chapter Six

It had been about a month since Ron and Hermione's little encounter. Hermione replayed the conversation in her head like a broken record, while Ron on the other hand chose to attempt to forget about it and erase it from his memory. Ron went on dating Karolyn as if forgetting about Hermione and Hermione decided to give John another chance.

Hermione decided he was a decent guy that deserved her respect and compassion after all she put him through, because when Hermione first starting seeing John again all she would do is talk about Ron. She could tell it drove John crazy. Hermione soon stopped talking about Ron and decided that she absolutely adored John.

John was a very successful man. He worked at the ministry as auror, which meant he was constantly going on missions and tracking down dark wizards. It was a very time consuming job that required him meeting everyone's constant need and whim.

OOOOOO

Hermione herself was trying to get a job. She was offered a job at Hogwarts as a potions teacher or even a charms teacher, but decided she wanted to work at the ministry or for the Daily Profit as a writer or even a publisher. She couldn't help but want more, but when more came she couldn't help but want less… her pride told her to go for the high profile jobs but reality told her to go for low profile jobs. Right now, high status jobs would just bog her down.

Hermione was flipping through the job section of the Daily Profit when an all too familiar owl started pecking on her window pane with a thick letter It was Ron's owl and it was Ron's letter. Hermione walked briskly over to the window and pried it open to allow Pig inside. The small tawny owl fluttered vigorously through the window and landed on Hermione's coffee table. Hermione went into the kitchen and filled up a small bowl of water for the exhausted owl. The owl dived right into the bowl, and Hermione untied the letter from his leg and eyed it vigilantly.

She soon tore open the letter only to see many more letters pour out of the envelope. They were in order from December 2nd 2004 all the way to June 18th 2005. There was a letter for everyday and they were all addressed to her. There was a newer envelope on top addressed February 3rd 2006. That was today's date. (A/N: also known as my birthday (February 3rd that is). I know that the characters in Harry Potter where born in like 1980 or something like that, but just pretend for now that they weren't.

Hermione opened the letter:

Hermione,

I know that this won't mean anything to you, but there is a letter for everyday up until now addressed to you from the day we broke up to now. I never gave you them, but I am now.

P.S: The second half is on the way, because Pig couldn't carry them all with her.

Hermione didn't quite understand but opened the next letter that was addressed December 2nd 2004 to a Miss Hermione Granger.

Hermione,

I know a simple poem won't overcome the pain I have caused you, but it could be a start.

You say you cannot forget
And you aren't ready to forgive
But I need your friendship
More than you'll even know
I need you there to live

Without you by my side today
Life's been going, oh so slow
I miss your company
Our endless talks
The places we would go

You can't even bear to look at me,
And I know my mistake
For because of one night,
And a few thoughtless actions,
When you saw me you ran and hid

I know we cannot take it back
As much as we would like to
But we could forget
And start all over
Just friends, that's me and you

If time is what you need,
Then I guess that's what you'll get
But I need you there for me soon,
My friend,
I hope you will forget.

Hermione eyed the page blankly. "Poetry? Ron?' She soon tore into the next envelope that was labeled December 3rd 2004.

Hermione,

I gave myself to her,
And took herself for pay.
The solemn contract of a life
Was ratified this way

The value might disappoint,
Myself a poorer prove
Than this my purchaser suspect,
The daily own of Love

Depreciates the sight;
But, 'til the merchant buy,
Still fabled, in the isles of spice
The subtle cargoes lie.

At least, 'tis mutual risk,—
Some found it mutual gain;
Sweet debt of Life,—each night to owe,
Insolvent, every noon.

Hermione was about to tear open the next letter when she heard a knock on the door and remembered John. She set the envelopes down gently and moved towards the door. John stood there smiling brightly. He embraced her in a big hug and twirled her around.

A/N: It's my birthday! It's my birthday! What now? Lol! Uh it really is my birthday, but I'm not normally this smug about it… hehe… Please read and review! Oh and the first poem is by my friend and the second one is by my favorite poet Emily Dickinson, although I changed some of the words to make it work.
