Chapter Eleven

The rain outside Ginny and Harry's flat stopped and a sudden quietness overtook the small apartment. The apartment now contained Ginny's décor, not her mothers. Ginny was ecstatic when she got to buy furniture because now everything would her own taste not her mums. Although after about five days of furniture shopping painting the entire place she began to dread telling Harry she did not want his help.

Harry and Ginny sat in the gauche silence occasionally saying incoherent phrases until of course there was an all too familiar knock on the door. Ginny jumped up joyfully rushing towards the door in a hope to end the awkward silence that still hung in the air.

Behind the door there was no luck it was just Ron who was normally in his depressed state even though he was engaged to the "love of his life", Karolyn. Ginny and Harry always saw through that bald-faced lie. It was a terrible mistake on Ron's part to get engaged to that wretched girl, but in some ways maybe being with somebody is better than nobody even if that somebody was terribly awful. This time was a little different though. Once inside the apartment a wide beautiful smile took over Ron's face. It was the happiest they had seen him in months. It was fabulous.

He told them all about how he and Hermione had agreed to give each other another chance because they felt they deserved it. He told them all about breaking up with Karolyn and how she kept the diamond ring even though Ron told her it was fake. Ron knew buying someone a fake engagement ring was wrong, but he wasn't about to spend a lot of money on some evil tyrant.

By the time he left Ginny's it was late and the sun was setting on the horizon with a beautiful reddish-orange glow. Hermione was at her apartment dazed in the wondrous sunset that lay in front of her eyes. Within ten minutes darkness overtook the magnificent sky and the moon came out with a phenomenal shine. It was the second full moon that month meaning it was a rare blue moon that only occurred every two to seven years.

Hermione was awestruck at the enchanting sight before her. The moon made the dark streets of London look as if it were day time. The stars were a clear silvery white color and they glowed in a stunning fashion that made Hermione smile. She was admiring the night sky when she heard a rap at the door.

She opened the door only to be engulfed in a huge hug by Ron, the man she loved. It was really hard for Hermione to break up with John, but when she was in Ron's arms she knew it was worth it. Ron's warm embrace made her feel special in an amazing way.

Ron stepped into the apartment awkwardly, but soon leaving with Hermione's hand clasped in his. The boxes that filled up her apartment were unbearable and made the place practically unlivable. Ron and Hermione were going to move into an apartment together. They would have kept Hermione's, but the place was way too small. It only contained three rooms the kitchen and the living room were one and her bedroom was another and the bathroom was the third. It was too cramped for two people to live in so they were moving into a new apartment together.

It was a rather quick move on their part, but they loved each other and that wasn't something you could just pass up on. It was either now or never for the two of them and they preferred now rather than never.

OOOOOOOOOO

Ron and Hermione walked down the street to a nearby house were Ron had a surprise waiting for Hermione, and she had no clue what it was. They stood in front of the blue house that had peculiar red shutters and a red door. It was the most uncharacteristic house on the block. None of the others had bright colors that were rather tacky. They walked up the brick path that led to the door of the house. The looks of the home she was currently standing in front of and eyeing critically caused Hermione to look up at Ron as if he had lost his mind. He smiled at her reassuringly and rang the doorbell that was beside the door. Hermione heard loud footsteps and a man bellow something about 'keeping those damned dogs back from the door'.

The man opened the door and allowed Ron and Hermione to enter apparently already knowing what they had come for. The man led Ron and Hermione to a nearby room and opened to door and let them in the secluded room. Once inside the room Hermione understood more of what was going on, the room had newspapers covering the floor and huge black puppies wrestling one another.

"Puppies!" Hermione shouted rushing toward the heap of mischievous puppies and was instantly attacked with kisses from all of the puppies.

"Oh my," Hermione said finally getting back up to her feet," they are Giant Schnauzers, no?" Hermione already knew these babies were in deed Giant Schnauzer from their distinctive noses and huge frames that they would soon grow into. The breed was known for their exhilarating personalities and active athletic endurance. Hermione had fallen in love with the breed when she was a child and had always wanted one.

"Pick one," Ron said gesturing to the black fur balls that were now only three months and twenty pounds.

"Are you serious?"

"Yep," he said smiling at her.

They left the house with not one but two Giant Schnauzer puppies. The demanding puppies would now be living in an apartment with two adults who work. Hermione and Ron had lost their minds some time between leaving Hermione's cramped apartment and arriving at the disoriented house that contained an uncountable amount of dogs.

Ron and Hermione made their way back to her apartment with a huge bag of dog food, which they picked up at a grocery store on the way, and two very high-strung puppies that would definitely not be a cup of tea at dinnertime.

A/N: Yeah… this chapter is sucky but I don't really have any sympathy. Please review… this is getting so frustrating.
