"Here we are. This is Miyuki." Kurumi told everyone, holding Miyuki.

When Trunks, Bulma, and Vegeta saw Miyuki, they were shocked; she still had some bruising on her fair skin, but they were fading. And she was indeed missing half of her tail. Another thing they noticed was that she was small for her age; she looked younger than two.

Her long chocolate-brown hair was tied into pigtails with small tight buns hidden behind her cat ears. In front of her cat ears, though, she wore two blue ribbons with a smaller white ribbon between them, in front of a single strand of hair sticking up.

She was wearing a white dress with a pink floral design, pink socks, and white shoes.

They couldn't see her face because she had it buried in Kurumi's shoulder, barely awake.

"Ok, Little one; it's time to wake up. It's time to meet your daddy and other family." Kurumi calmly told Miyuki, gently shaking her to wake her all the way.

"Mmm…" Miyuki moaned a little before pulling away and rubbing her eyes with her little hands.

"Good girl. Here we go." Kurumi praised before turning Miyuki around as she walked to Trunks.

At first, Miyuki just stared at Trunks before turning to look at Kurumi, confused—and slightly scared.

"It's ok; that's your daddy. He won't hurt you; I promise. Can you wave at him?" Kurumi explained and asked, making Miyuki look at Trunks again.

"Go on; give him a little wave." Kurumi instructed, shifting Miyuki a little more towards Trunks.

It took a few seconds, but Miyuki held her hand up and waved by means of clenching and unclenching her fingers.

"Awww! She's absolutely adorable!" Bulma cried, causing jerk back into Kurumi.

"Sorry." Bulma guiltily apologized.

"Don't be. I should've warned you. But I'm going to head to the car and take a power nap until you get done with your part, Brook. I'll be by next Friday to make sure everything's set. Have a good night. Bye-bye, Miyuki. Be a good girl for your new family." Kurumi told Bulma, then Brook, everyone else, and finally Miyuki before walking away.

However, she only made a few steps before she turned around, very red from embarrassment.

"Sorry. Of course, she can only be a good girl for you if I actually give you the child." Kurumi apologized, handing Miyuki to Trunks.

"Will you let me take you?" Trunks asked, watching the nervous toddler.

Slowly and hesitantly, Miyuki reached her arms out and allowed Trunks to take her. However, once Trunks had hold of her, Miyuki tightly shut her eyes and started shaking.

"And this is a bag of her things. It's just a stuffed animal and some clothes that were savable from her mother's house—so, I don't know if they fit or not. There are enough diapers and wipes in there for three days. And the final, sad thing: she is a little self-conscious of her ears, so kind of watch her; she tends to pull on them. I'm not talking like lightly pulling; it looks like she's trying to rip them off herself. When we found her mother, her ears were mutilated beyond belief. So, we're thinking Miyuki learned from watching Daisy. But that's about it. I'll see you when you get done. Take your time." Kurumi told Trunks and then Brook before leaving.

"Sit in the passenger's seat; I'll drive!" Brook called, earning a thumbs up from Kurumi.

"Ok… Do you have somewhere more private with a flat surface we could go?" Brook sighed and then asked, watching Trunks.

"Yeah, follow me." Trunks replied, leading the way inside.

"Please don't take offense; it's part of my job. Legally, I have to ask: do you give consent for these two to come along?" Brook asked, noticing Bulma and Vegeta following along.

"Yes; they can come along. These are my parents, Bulma and Vegeta Briefs." Trunks answered, leading the way to the living room.

"Will this do?" Trunks asked, standing still, holding Miyuki—who had stopped shaking and opened her eyes but had her face buried in Trunks's shoulder.

"This will do just fine. I have some things for her that are important to her progression. And yes, you may keep them; they were specially bought for her. Most babies, when learning to walk, tend to stumble or fall. People recommend you place them on carpets or blankets. However, for some babies or children in Miyuki's predicament, a regular blanket can actually be quite hazardous. Feet can become tangled when the blanket bunches up, and the child will fall over—and quite possibly hurt themselves. Yes, we are aware that a parent/guardian would be with the child, making sure they're safe. However, this blanket is much easier. This side sticks to floors, making it so the blanket stays in one place. This side is soft plush, so that way if Miyuki falls, she's land on something super soft. Did Kurumi tell you that Miyuki is able to stand by herself for a few seconds?" Brook explained, placing a special blanket down before asking.

"Yeah, she mentioned that." Trunks replied.

"Ok. Good. Because of her unique issues, I personally had a special bouncer made for her. And I would appreciate if you'd use it: I paid out of pocket for it because budget wouldn't approve of it. I got your address from our director and had it sent out about a week ago, so you should be receiving a package in the next few days. This, like all other bouncers, is meant to help her stand and bounce a little. It does have wheels, so hopefully she'll be able to push herself along once she gets more strength in her legs. And we are getting there. Now, because I work directly in CPS's Physical Therapy, I can't come every day—or even every week to work with her. I will call once a month to check on her progress, though. What I can do is recommend you to someone—or someone to you. Or if you'd prefer, you can work on her exercises with her: they're simple things to do. I have to give options because some new parents don't feel comfortable in doing physical therapy exercises—especially on small children. And more importantly, on children who have been sexually abused. What?" Brook explained before asking, seeing shocked looks on Trunks, Bulma, and Vegeta's faces.

"Wait. What? What do you mean sexually abused?" Trunks asked, holding Miyuki close to him.

Miyuki, never feeling anything like this before, clung to Trunks, hoping it was real.

"Kurumi never told you Miyuki was sexually abused?" Brook asked, stunned.

"No. It never came up. All we were told was she was severely abused and was in the ER multiple times for broken bones, bruises, bruised tailbones, and ribs, among other things. But she never mentioned anything sexual." Trunks replied, becoming increasingly agitated.

"God… Kurumi… That was one of the first things she was supposed to tell you. I don't know details—on any of the abuse, so I can't tell you anything. I just work on fixing what needs to be fixed, physically. The only things I do know is that she still has her hymen intact, and she doesn't have any kind of STD. But yes, she was sexually abused. And from what I've heard, it's one of the worse cases they've seen against a two-year-old in roughly twenty years. I don't understand how she could fail to mention that to you; she practiced so much this past week on what she was going to say to you. However, maybe it's best you don't know the details. I'm sure you'll find out if Miyuki's like any other child victim; they tend to act out what happened to them—as unfortunate as that is. If you want to know details, you can ask Kurumi when you see her again. For now, do you know what you want to do about Miyuki's physical therapy?" Brook explained before changing the subject.

"Yeah. I'd like to be the one to do her therapy. Or—I'd like to try at least." Trunks answered.

"Of course. First: do you happen to have any flat pillows or a thin blanket that can be folded?" Brook asked, looking at Trunks.

"Hold on." Bulma instructed before disappearing.

"Will this do?" Bulma asked, walking out with a pillow she was planning on getting rid of because she and Vegeta got new pillows.

"That's perfect. Now, Mr. Briefs, if you could, just place Miyuki on her back on the blanket with her head on this pillow. And then, say you're out on a business trip or you're sick or something—and for some reason you can't do her therapy with her. Do you have someone you trust wholeheartedly who can?" Brook instructed before asking.

"I can." Bulma piped up right away without thinking.

"Do you give either of your parents' permission to do so?" Brook asked as Trunks carefully placed Miyuki on the blanket.

"Yes." Trunks answered.

"Good. Dad because I'm going to have you be hands-on for this, I need you to sit or kneel next to Miyuki. Grandma and Grandpa, just make sure you're somewhere where you can see what we're doing, so you'll know what to do." Brook instructed, oblivious to the fact that Trunks was still squatting next to Miyuki.

"Ok. This part is important: no matter how much she may cry or scream, you cannot stop what you're doing with her. Because she doesn't bend at her knees, they have stiffened up—and they do every time. So, her knees tend to hurt the first few stretches." "Is there a limit to how much she can do therapy sessions? Sorry." Brook started only to be interrupted by Bulma.

"Don't be sorry; it's a valid question. And Trunks gave permission for you to ask questions. And as long as I have that, I can answer your questions. However, before I leave, I'll have to get his permission to give us permission to give you verbal information if we are unable to contact him directly. I don't believe there's too much of a limit, but we don't want to overdo it and push too much. I'd say, if you want a limit: stick to three times a day. I'm only allowed to work with her once a day as we have other children as well." Brook answered Bulma before turning her attention back to Miyuki and Trunks.

"But for now, let's get this over with. It doesn't matter which leg you start with. Using both hands, slowly and gently take her knee and ankle, and make sure you have a firm, but not too firm of a grip. Slowly push her knee up until it's completely bent and hold it there for a minute. Like so. I know, Sweetie. But we have to do this." Brook explained, showing Trunks what to do, using Miyuki's right leg. She then apologized to Miyuki when she started crying.

"After a minute, slowly bring her leg back down. Then we move onto the other leg. Each leg, I'd recommend five times. Me personally; I like to rotate legs to give each leg a break between. But you can do all five times with one leg before moving on. And it is important to no panic when she cries. You apologize, explain that this is necessary (in a way she'll understand), and keep going. Now, it's your turn." Brook instructed, having Trunks take over Miyuki's left leg.

Miyuki did cry the first time—and it broke Trunks's heart, but he did what Brook told him.

"Great. Now, we move onto her hips. Ok, Miyuki: Daddy's is going to place his hands here. He's not going to do anything to hurt you; he's going to help you. Now, what you're going to do is slowly twist this way and hold for ten seconds. Bring her back onto her back, and then slowly twist and hold her the other way. We do this to keep her hips and legs strong—and we do this five to ten times. If you hear a popping noise, it's fine—unless she's screaming. She can sit on her own, but sometimes she does need help sitting up. With that, you take her hands, and carefully pull her up. Very good." Brook instructed, having Trunks do everything to get used to doing it.

"Do we need to do anything special for standing her up?" Bulma asked, watching Trunks interact with Miyuki.

"No; you can just lift her. Or—like how you pulled her into a sitting position, you can carefully pull her into a standing position. From there, you just have to watch her. She uses her arms well enough, but we like to lift her arms over her head and hold them there for ten seconds if possible. And then we hold them out to the sides and have her hold them for ten seconds if possible. And then—the final exercises are for her sit in a chair or something, hold her leg out in front of her. Your job is to have her resist you pushing them down. She can't let you push them down. Same with her arms. That's once a month. It's to see how strong her arms and legs are. We did that yesterday, so she's good until next month." Brook explained.

"Ok. I think I have it." Trunks replied.

"Good. Well, that's it. You did great. In case you forget, here are instructions on all the exercises I just covered with you. Or if she's away with other family, you can show them what to do. But otherwise, that's it for me. Do you have any questions?" Brook told Trunks before asking.

"No, I think I'm good." Trunks replied.

"Ok. Well, then I'll be taking my leave. If you change your mind and have questions; this is my card. I may not always answer right away, but I will call back. You can always leave me a message. Just make sure you follow the directions given in my answering machine. Have a nice night. Bye-bye, Miyuki; it was nice getting to work with you for these past two weeks." Brook explained, giving Trunks her card before bidding farewell, and left.

"What's the plan now?" Vegeta asked, looking from his wife to Trunks and Miyuki.

"Well, we can't just stay inside all night." Bulma stated, watching the doors that led to the backyard.

"I suppose… I'll just tell everyone not to crowd around her; she can't handle too many people at once. Maybe one or two people at a time." Trunks informed his parents, heading back outside.

"Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. What you mean to tell me is that you're going to tell people to stay away from and not fawn over her? Is that what you're saying?" Vegeta asked, watching Trunks.

"In a sense. I'll slowly introduce her to everyone—one or two at a time." Trunks replied, a little suspicious of his father at that moment.

"Hand her over; I'll introduce her to everyone." Vegeta demanded, holding his arms out.

"Oh, no you don't. She's Trunks's daughter; he'll do it. You're not getting out of anything. Come on, Dear. Trunks, you wait here; we'll let everyone know what you want." Bulma scolded Vegeta, dragging him outside before ordering Trunks.

"They're coming back." Yamcha announced, watching the door; he was waiting. He wanted to eavesdrop, but the others kept him from doing so.

"What's going on?" Chi-Chi asked, watching Bulma and Vegeta.

"Where are Trunks and his little girl?" Tien asked.

"I told him to wait a minute before coming out. We ask that you respect his wishes with Miyuki; she's a shy, scared little girl who was hurt—badly. Trunks would appreciate if we don't crowd her, and only one or two people meet Miyuki at a time." Bulma explained, watching everyone.

"Mom! Can you come here?!" Trunks called for Bulma.

"Trunks? What is it?" Bulma asked, running in with Vegeta right behind her.

"Maybe I should've just called for Dad. But anyway; could you take Miyuki? I'm assuming her bouncer thing just came in." Trunks asked, pushing a box in.

"Where are you planning on opening that?" Bulma asked, watching Trunks.

"Outside. The box and everything not needed can go with all the other things for the fire tonight." Trunks answered.

"Vegeta, take the box. Trunks, you take her out and introduce her to everyone. She doesn't seem to want to let go of you, so you should hold onto her. Go. I'll be right out." Bulma instructed, giving orders to both of her men.

"Just do what she says." Vegeta and Trunks told each other at the same time.

Vegeta walked out with the box first, followed by Trunks and Miyuki—who was hiding her face in Trunks's shoulder.

"Another present?" Yamcha asked, looking at the box.

"Something like that; it's for Miyuki, not me." Trunks replied, standing there, trying to find a place to set Miyuki while he opened the box.

"Ok." Bulma started, walking out with an older blanket.

"What's that?" Yamcha asked, watching Bulma.

"What does it look like? It's a blanket." Vegeta snapped as quietly as he could, as not to scare Miyuki.

"I know what it is. Why is Bulma bringing it outside? It may look old, but it's not trash." Yamcha stated, recognizing the blanket; it was one of the last things he and Bulma bought together. Granted, it was because he didn't like sharing blankets and would pull them off her.

"It's for Miyuki. I wasn't sure if that blanket that Brook brought could be brought outside, so I found this one. This way she can sit on her own or whatever. We'll set her in this corner, so that Trunks or one of us can stay with her, and only one or two people can meet her at a time. But at the same time, she can still see into the yard to see what's going on." Bulma answered, spreading the blanket out.

"Smart. Can you stay sitting up?" Trunks replied before asking Miyuki, carefully placing her on the blanket. At first, she was confused as she stared up at Trunks. But after a minute, she sat, legs spread a little, with her hands between her knees, seeming pretty content.

"Do you want to see what Miss Brook sent you? She got this just for you." Trunks asked Miyuki, showing her the box. She just stared at it for a few minutes before pointing to it.

"Yes; that's for you. Are you ready to open it?" Trunks asked, pulling the box closer.

Miyuki stared at Trunks with wide eyes for a few minutes before slowly scootching her way over to Trunks's knee. Then, using his knee, she was able to pull herself up—barely bending her knees.

"Well, she's bending them a little bit." Bulma noted, watching Miyuki standing by Trunks, holding his knee to keep herself up.

"She sure is a cute little girl." Goku noted with a smile, watching from afar.

"What are you going to do about her tail? Don't we have a full moon coming up soon?" Yamcha stoically asked.

"We'll just have to cut it off like the rest of us." Bulla insisted, walking back outside.

"Bulla!" Bulma exclaimed in shock.

"What? Even with only half a tail, don't you think she'll still transform?" Bulla questioned, looking at her mother.

"Hasn't she already been through enough as it is?" Bulma asked, giving Bulla "The Look."

"That's enough! I'll figure it out later. For now, we're going to open the box." Trunks exclaimed before calmly telling everyone.

"Do you need a knife or something to cut the tape?" Bulma asked, watching her son.

"Yeah, I believe so." Trunks replied as Miyuki stood there, holding his knee.

"I got you." Yamcha stated, pulling out a pocketknife; the blade popped out when he handed it to Trunks.

"Ahhhh!" Miyuki screamed, falling backward onto her butt and then onto her back where she just started crying uncontrollably.

"Now, what'd you do?" Vegeta demanded as Trunks picked Miyuki up and rocked her in his arms.

"I don't know; I was just trying to help. If I tell her, I'm sorry, will she stop shrieking like that?" Yamcha replied and then asked over a screaming toddler.

"Yamcha, put the knife away! That's what upset her in the first place!" Bulma yelled, annoyed.

"Wait! Before you do, cut the tape on the ends!" Trunks instructed, holding Miyuki's head to his shoulder as she slowly calmed down.

"Hey look; there she is!" Some girl exclaimed, looking over the fence along with another girl and some guy.

"Yeah—I'd know that ear-piercing scream anywhere." The guy stated.

Both girls had brown hair, but the lead girl had green eyes while the other had blue.

The guy had black hair and green eyes.

"Can we help you?" Bulma asked, looking at the three who just entered her yard—without permission.

"Yeah; we're here for Miyuki. Sorry—that little girl; she's always getting away." The second girl informed with a smile.

When Miyuki heard the three, she buried her face deeper into Trunks's shoulder, cried, and violently started shaking. This reaction caused Trunks to hold her closer.

"Now, come on, Miyuki; we don't want to bother these nice people. Come one; let's go home." The man insisted, walking forward.

"Hey! Sky, Raina!" Bulla happily exclaimed.

"Who is she? And how does she know you?" The guy asked, looking at the two girls.

"I don't know…" The one girl with blue eyes, Sky, replied, looking at the guy.

"It's me: Bulla; we had dance together for a while. You know my brother's daughter?" Bulla told the girls before asking, stunned.

"No, we don't know your brother's kid; we don't know your brother. However, that little girl there, is our friend, Trunks Briefs's daughter." Raina replied with a confident smile.

"Oh, really? You're Trunks Briefs?" Vegeta asked, walking over.

"Yep, that's me. Now, if I could have my daughter; we'll be on our way." The imposter told Vegeta with that same cocky smile.

"If you're really Trunks Briefs; let's see some ID. Or better yet: if you're Trunks, why don't my wife and I know you?" Vegeta asked, pissed off.

"What do you mean?" The imposter asked, becoming annoyed.

"Shit. Curry, that's enough." Sky and Raina ordered, watching Bulma.

"What the hell?! You'll ruin everything!" The imposter, Curry, snapped, annoyed.

"It's already ruined. These are Trunks's parents. And I forgot that Daisy got Trunks's little sister into our dance class to get close to her." Sky informed, annoyed.

"Yeah. Forgot that she was just using the stupid girl for information on Trunks." Raina sighed.

"What?" Bulla asked, hurt.

"Oh, come on. You didn't really think you were good enough for our elite dance school, did you? Daisy paid us to let you in so she could try to get close to Trunks. Your dancing was horrible. Do you know how hard it was keeping you there—especially when your brother kept turning her down. The sad thing was that Daisy didn't even really like Trunks; she just wanted his money. Yet somehow, she got him so drunk in order to have sex with her that she ended up getting pregnant with that mistake. Then that dumb Plum went and killed her. Yes, I know: all the drugs Daisy was doing didn't help, but Plum finished her off with that last injection of meth or whatever. Now, if you'd just give us the girl, we'll be on our way." Sky retorted, pissed off, causing Bulla to run into the house; she was hurt and embarrassed.

After only a few seconds, Bulla decided to call the police; there was no debating it.

"No." Trunks replied, protectively holding Miyuki close.

"No?" The three asked, looking at him, shocked.

"I said no. You're not taking my daughter anywhere." Trunks repeated.

While this was going on, Miyuki was clutching onto Trunks's shirt; she was confused and scared, yet she felt safe. Today was the first day in her short life that she felt something she's never felt before: safety.

"You listen here, Pal! You didn't even know about her until today! What gives you the right to say we can't have her? That's what Daisy would've wanted!" Sky and Raina furiously yelled.

"Mom, take Miyuki inside." Trunks ordered, handing—trying to hand Miyuki over to Bulma; Miyuki wouldn't let go.

"Mmmm!" Miyuki cried, not letting go of Trunks.

"Miyuki, it's ok; she's not going to hurt you. She's your grandma, and she's going to make sure you're safe." Trunks told Miyuki as she held onto him.

After a few seconds, Miyuki let go of Trunks and let Bulma take her inside.

"Now, you listen to me, and listen well—Pal. All three of you will stay the hell away from my daughter. As for who gave me the right to my child, was child protective services—after proving I was her father. Assuming you were Daisy's friends before she died; I'm guessing you helped Daisy abuse Miyuki. Even if I weren't planning on keeping MY daughter; I sure as hell wouldn't let you have her!" Trunks exclaimed, pissed off.

He was so pissed; he was about to change into a Super Saiyan. However, before he got the chance, police officers showed up.

"We got a call of a disturbance, trespassing, and attempted kidnapping. I'm guessing that would be you three: Sky, Raina, and Curry. This is the Briefs residence: we know everyone here." The lead officer informed, watching the three, who panicked.

"Umm… Sorry for the intrusion! Bye!" The three yelled, trying to run away.

"Oh, no you don't! Dad! Goten! Goku!" Trunks yelled, calling for backup, stopping the three before they could get away.

Trunks, Bulma, and Bulla talked to the police, giving them their statements. Trunks also gave them Kurumi's and Brook's numbers to get more information if they needed it.

"Well—this will certainly be a day to remember." Bulma sighed, holding Miyuki close.

"Yeah, it certainly will." Trunks agreed, but with a smile as she took Miyuki from his mother.

"Mmmm…" Miyuki made a noise, latching onto Trunks.

"Well, she certainly knows who her daddy is." Master Roshi noted with a smile.

"Are you ready to open your box?" Trunks asked, holding Miyuki, who turned her head to the side and lightly nodded.

Once Trunks made it back to the box, he pulled the tape up a little but stopped.

"Trunks?" Bulma asked, confused.

"Shh. Here, take this and hold on tight, ok?" Trunks told Miyuki, handing her the end of the tape.

Like with everything else, Miyuki slowly and hesitantly took the tape from Trunks and held it in both hands.

"Ok. I'm going to put my hands around your waist, ok? I'm not going to do anything except hold you up. Don't let go of the tape." Trunks told Miyuki just before putting his hands on her waist. He held her away from him and pulled the other way, causing her to pull the tape with her.

Miyuki just started happily squealing as the tape was being removed from the box.

Meanwhile, Bulma quickly got her phone and got the last half of them pulling the tape off; she also got Miyuki pulling open the box.

"I'm just going to set you on Grandma's blanket so I can take this out of the box." Trunks told Miyuki, noticing her confusion as he set her down.

Although, it seemed she didn't want to sit because once he lifted the bouncer out of the box, Miyuki pulled herself into a standing position, using the box.

Just like she didn't want to sit, Miyuki had no interest in whatever Trunks was doing. She found a way, bending her knees just a little to pull herself into the box of packing peanuts.

Up. Over. Flip. Miyuki landed on her back in the packing peanuts—sinking into them.

"Ok. That's set up—and sturdy. Miyuki, are you rea—dy? Miyuki? Mom, what's wrong? Where's Miyuki?" Trunks turned around and asked, looking for Miyuki while Bulma stood there with her phone, laughing with Chi-Chi, and Videl.

"Nothing's wrong. Look in the box." Bulma answered and then told Trunks.

"Ok…" Trunks replied, unsure. However, he understood as soon as he looked in the box and only saw little dark tan cat ears sticking out of the packing peanuts.

"Did you put her in here?" Trunks asked, looking at his mother.

"No. She managed to get in there on her own. It wasn't very much, but she bent her knees just a little—just enough to flip over the edge and inside. Here. Watch." Bulma instructed, walking over with her phone.

"Well, there you are. What do you have there?" Trunks asked after Miyuki popped up with a red box.

"Lava Poppers? Cherry, Strawberry, and Watermelon flavors. Oh, and cherry juice packets?" Trunks asked when Miyuki was suddenly holding—trying to hold up a box of juice packets.

"Why all cherry? And what's all this?" Bulla asked, holding Miyuki's bag of stuff Kurumi dropped off.

"It's not all cherry; there's strawberry and watermelon as well." Trunks started replying.

"The Lava Poppers—not the juices." Bulla argued.

"Is there a piece of paper in there, Sweetie?" Bulma asked, kneeling next to the box, getting Miyuki's attention.

After a few minutes, Miyuki pulled out a crumpled-up packet of papers.

"Ok. This says… Well, it explains the bouncer. This is a—wow. This is a long list of food allergies ranging from ALL shellfish to ALL pork products. Pineapples, coconut, pears, dragon fruit, mangos, jackfruit, cauliflower, and avocado. Sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, walnuts, cashews, almonds, pecans, macadamia nuts, acorns, and chestnuts—but she seems to love peanuts and hazelnuts. She is also allergic to bee stings, hay, horses, ALL dandelions, dandelion greens, poison ivy, poison oak, and sunflowers. I suppose it makes sense for her to be allergic to sunflower seeds if she's allergic to sunflowers. I don't even want to go over the medications." Trunks read off several allergies Miyuki had.

"Jeez… I'd put wrap that kid in bubble wrap and then in a plastic bubble." Yamcha remarked, snickering a little.

"Oh, I really hope she doesn't ever get severely hurt. I'd be too afraid to give her a Senzu Bean, not knowing if she's allergic to it or not. Here we go: the last page says she only likes red Lava Poppers, red gummy snacks, red chewy candies, and red juices—specifically cherry. She seems to like milk and loves orange juice but hates apple and grape. She hates apples in general—unless coated in caramel. Show her pictures of fruits she's not allergic to, and she'll point to what she likes." Trunks finished reading the stack of papers before handing it to Bulma to read.

"And that's a bag of Miyuki's things that Kurumi brought. She said there were clothes that she wasn't sure if fit or not. Two or three days of diapers, and wipes, and a teddy bear." Trunks answered Bulla as Vegeta looked through the bag.

"This is a teddy bear?" Vegeta asked, pulling out a soft black and tan teddy bear with white paws and white around the eyes. It had long, floppy ears like a rabbit, but everything else looked like a bear: as in its face and stubby tail.

They could tell the stuffed animal was old and handmade, but someone had taken excellent care of it.

"Huh! Ooh! Ooh!" Miyuki gasped and started making noises, kind of bouncing on the side of the box, reaching for the stuffed animal.

"She wants that thing? It looks ancient." Yamcha stated, looking at the stuffed animal that Miyuki was desperately reaching for. She was reaching and bouncing around so much that the box started to tear at one of the corners.

"Come on, Vegeta; give her the teddy bear before she hurts herself." Bulma told her husband, watching Trunks lift Miyuki out of the box.

"Mmm… Ooh! Ooh!" Miyuki desperately reached and reached for the bear.

"Yeah, yeah… Here." Vegeta mumbled, handing her the teddy bear.

Not only did Miyuki happily take the teddy bear; she also grabbed Vegeta's fingers and held onto them.

"I think she likes you, Vegeta." Goku noted with a big goofy smile.

"Of course, she does; he's Grandpa!" Bulma stated with a smile as Miyuki watched Vegeta with great interest—tilting her head here and there.

"Aww! She's just the cutest little thing ever! Just like our Bulla was at that age!" Bulma happily exclaimed, causing Miyuki to let go of Vegeta and cling back to Trunks.

"Oh, I'm sorry; I didn't mean to scare you. I can get a little over excited sometimes." "A little?" "Shut up!" Bulma apologized and then growled at her husband when he asked, rolling his eyes.

"Would you like to meet our friends?" Trunks calmly asked, holding Miyuki, who was just laying her head against his shoulder, holding her teddy bear.

"Hey, are you hungry? Come on, Trunks; let's get her something to eat." Bulma excitedly insisted, leading Trunks to where the food was.

"What would you like to eat?" Bulla calmly asked. She felt bad for how she acted earlier and wanted to redeem herself; she felt guilty and sick to her stomach that she became jealous of a two-year-old.

However, once they got to the food and started offering it to her, Miyuki just hid her face in Trunks's shoulder and cried; she wasn't falling for this "trick" again.

"What's wrong? There's plenty of food; Bulma always makes a lot of it." Goku informed, standing there shocked—along with everyone else.

"Hold on. Let me see the girl." Piccolo instructed, walking over to Trunks and Miyuki.

"What are you going to do to her?" Bulma asked right away, becoming defensive.

"Don't worry; I'm not going to hurt her. I'm just going to connect the two of you—Miyuki and Trunks. Basically we're going to peek inside her head to understand her. It'll help to understand her: what she went through and how to help her. However, Trunks, you should probably sit down." Piccolo assured, looking at Trunks.

Trunks stood there for a few seconds, thinking; he eventually agreed with Piccolo and sat down. He gently pulled Miyuki away from his shoulder just enough for Piccolo to place two of his fingers on her forehead—and two on Trunks's.

After about fifteen minutes or so, Piccolo and Trunks roughly pulled away from each other in severe shock.

"What's wrong? What happened? What did you do?" Bulma demanded, worried as Trunks sat there shaking in what looked like anger. Miyuki started crying uncontrollably, and Piccolo fell to the ground in utter shock.

"Someone take Miyuki—NOW!" Trunks exclaimed, still shaking and seething.

With the looks on Trunks's and Piccolo's faces, nobody replied. Vegeta took Miyuki and rocked her until she calmed down enough to fall asleep a few minutes…
