Half an Hour Later:

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Miyuki was the only one left slowly eating when someone started knocking on the door.

"I'll get it." Bulma insisted, getting up.

"You are just too cute." Panchy happily told Miyuki, watching her eat a pancake piece.

"Can you tell Great Grandma thank you?" Trunks asked Miyuki, watching her watching Panchy.

"Tank you." Miyuki softly thanked Panchy; she was pretty well inaudible.

"Well, she said it." Trunks spoke, patting Miyuki's head.

"You're so very welcome." Panchy excitedly replied.

"Look who decided to drop by." Bulma told everyone, walking into the kitchen with Gohan and Videl.

"Hey, what are you two doing here?" Trunks asked, watching Gohan and Videl.

"We have something for Miyuki that we only thought of this morning." Videl answered with a smile.

"Only 'cause Pan said something. Hi, Miyuki." Gohan added before waving at Miyuki when she turned her head to look at him.

"You remember Uncle Gohan and Aunty Videl, right? They were here the day you arrived. And they brought you your crib, highchair, bottles, and plenty of other things yesterday. And Uncle Gohan came with Grandpa Goku to visit you in the hospital yesterday as well." Trunks gently told Miyuki, watching her.

"At least she's looking at us. How are your notebooks going?" Gohan noted and then asked with a smile.

"We just need time—but we're getting somewhere. Well enough: we have one started already." Trunks replied before answering.

"Moe?" Miyuki softly asked, holding up her last piece of pancake.

"More?" Trunks asked, watching Miyuki.

"Pease?" Miyuki asked again.

"I don't think there are any more pancakes, but I there's a piece of sausage left." Bulma informed Miyuki and Trunks.

"K." Miyuki mumbled, waiting for Trunks to cut up the sausage while she ate her last piece of pancake.

"Here." Vegeta calmly told Miyuki, holding up his fork with a chunk of pancake on it.

"You're sharing your food?" Panchy asked, shocked.

"With the child, yes." Vegeta answered, holding the fork up to Miyuki.

"Go ahead; Pop-Pop said you could. What did you two bring this time?" Trunks gently told Miyuki before asking Gohan and Videl.

"Tank you." Miyuki softly thanked Vegeta, eating the pancake piece off his fork, shyly holding her hands in front of her.

"The crib and the swinger cradle have spots for mobiles. Pan's old mobile was busted—but we also didn't figure Miyuki would like dinosaurs. So, we went out and bought two new ones for her: butterflies for the cradle and stars and moons for her crib. We got lucky: every few years, new models and upgrades are created, and previous models get pushed back. There aren't many of those types left." Videl explained as Miyuki took a bite of sausage.

"Though, the connections for the mobiles are the same." Gohan added.

"Thank you." Trunks thanked Gohan and Videl—not knowing what a mobile was.

"Can we see them?" Bulma asked, taking a picture of Vegeta feeding Miyuki pancake pieces.

Vegeta would hold the fork to Miyuki, and she'd take the pancake without biting the fork. Her hands stayed shyly held together in front of her stomach the entire time.

"Of course." Videl enthusiastically answered, pulling out two boxes. She opened the one with the butterflies first.

Once all the plastic and twist ties were removed, Gohan held the mobile up, letting the butterflies hang down.

"Huh!" Miyuki gasped, completely forgetting about the pancakes; she was only interested in the butterflies.

"I think she likes that mobile there." Dr. Briefs noted with a smile.

"I agree." Trunks and Bulma responded, watching Miyuki intently watch the butterflies fly around.

"How is that or the other one supposed to fit on the cradle thing?" Vegeta asked, watching Miyuki while, at the same time, eating his pancakes.

"Where's the cradle?" Videl asked.

"Good luck." Vegeta replied.

"I see it." Gohan stated, setting the mobile on the table before walking into the living room; he returned with the cradle.

After a few seconds, Videl went to the cradle and pulled the handle up until it no longer was able to.

"It's a simple adjustment. Can I have the butterflies?" Videl asked, watching Gohan.

Within seconds, the mobile was hooked up and spinning. Videl just as easily removed it and pushed the handle back down.

"That way you can easily take Miyuki to the park or wherever. And then later, you can hang it back up." Videl explained, putting the mobile back on after pulling the handle up again.

"What about the other one? I didn't see any kind of attachments on the crib." Trunks asked, confused.

"If you show me, I can put the other one up for you." Videl offered, removing the star mobile.

Once again, it had Miyuki's attention.

"Sure. I'll be right back, Princess; there's something I have to do. I'll just be in our room." Trunks gently told Miyuki before leading Videl and Gohan to their room.

"Da?" Miyuki questioned, confused, trying desperately to look behind her.

"It's ok, Sweetie; he'll be right back." Bulma gently told Miyuki.

"Come here. He didn't leave the house; he's just in your room." Vegeta told Miyuki, removing her from her seat to sit on his knee. He started feeding her pancakes again.

"Daddy's girl. So cute!" Panchy excitedly exclaimed, taking a picture or two—along with Bulma.

"She's very attached to Trunks?" Dr. Briefs asked, noticing Miyuki's distress—even if she wasn't panicking now.

"Oh, yeah. I think there was a connection almost instantly the moment Social Services handed her to Trunks." Bulma answered.

"Does she have a connection with either of you or Bulla?" Panchy asked, curious.

"She knows who we are and loves us. But right now, she's more connected to Trunks—and it seems like she's gaining some kind of connection with Vegeta." Bulma answered with a smile.

"What about with you?" Panchy asked, concerned.

"I'm sure we'll connect. But for now, her having a connection with Trunks and Vegeta is a good start." Bulma insisted with a smile.

"Especially Trunks." Vegeta asked, getting Miyuki to eat another piece of pancake.

"Yes, I agree. Oh, I think she's finally full." Bulma replied before noting as Miyuki started pushing the fork away.

"Do you want your juice?" Vegeta asked, trying to keep hold of the squirmy baby.

"Yeah. Pease." Miyuki replied, panting a little.

"She sure likes that orange juice." Dr. Briefs and Panchy noted with smiles.

"You have no idea." Vegeta replied, watching to make sure Miyuki took breaths now and then.

"She'll suck it down if you let her." Bulma added.

"Da!" Miyuki cried, out of breath, hearing Trunks's footsteps.

"That took you awhile." Bulma noted when Trunks, Gohan, and Videl walked into the kitchen.

"The pole was stuck; we had some troubles getting it up. Now, it won't go down. But the star and moon mobile is up and ready for when she goes to bed tonight. Trunks says she's not moving around much, so she should be able to nap in the cradle." Videl explained with a slight smile.

"Hi, Princess. Did you finish eating?" Trunks asked, watching Miyuki.

"Yeah." Miyuki softly answered, leaning over Vegeta's arm.

"Are you sucking down your juice again?" Trunks asked again, still watching her.

"Yeah." Miyuki answered, not even denying it.

"How about you sit in your highchair and let Pop-Pop finish eating his food? And while he does that, we can start two more of your sticker books." Trunks spoke to Miyuki, getting her attention right away.

"Ticker?" Miyuki eagerly asked as Vegeta set her in her highchair.

"Yep. You can place four stickers—two in each book. We have a book for Uncle Gohan, Aunty Videl, and Pan. And we have a book for Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. You did very well at being introduced to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa that you get one sticker for each of them. Then you did well with seeing Uncle Gohan and Aunty Videl, so you get a sticker for each of them as well. Just let me get everything written down and then you can pick out four stickers." Trunks calmly told Miyuki.

As Trunks wrote things down, Miyuki sat in her seat, intently watching him, waiting patiently.

By the time Trunks allowed Miyuki to pick her stickers, he had marked each notebook for what they were meant for:

Therapy: dark purple with colorful 3D stars

Crawling/Walking: colorful kittens

Great Grandma & Great Grandpa: colorful puppies

Uncle Gohan, Aunty Videl, & Pan: orange with pumpkins

Grandpa Goku, Grandma Chi-Chi & Goten: orange with tan kittens

Mr. Tien & Chiaotzu: green and white camo design

Mr. Piccolo & Dende: sparkly green

Mr. Krillin, Mrs. 18, & Marron: blue with black puppies

Master Roshi: sparkly black with white stars.

Ms. Veah & Mr. Martin (?): dark sparkly red

There were three leftover notebooks.

"Ok. I think that's everyone." Trunks sighed, looking at all the notebooks.

"You're missing Yamcha and that friend of his." Dr. Briefs noted, looking at the notebooks as well.

"You mean, Daku." Panchy spoke, causing Miyuki to burst out crying.

"Da!" Miyuki screamed before bawling.

"Come here, Princess. It's ok. Mom, could you please explain what's going on? I'm going to take Miyuki out for some air." Trunks lifted Miyuki into his arms before asking Bulma.

"Of course." Bulma replied, watching Trunks go out back with Miyuki.

"What's going on?" Panchy asked, confused.

"Daku is not a good man. I never liked or trusted him—and now I know why. We found out that he knew Miyuki's mother—and was one of the men who hurt Miyuki—including sexually. We don't know Yamcha's involvement, other than he's adamant on Daku being innocent. However, you saw how she reacts to just hearing his name." Bulma explained, shocking her parents.

"Not to mention, he pretty much admitted it when Trunks was talking to him over Yamcha's phone." Vegeta added, annoyed, getting up.

"Where are you going?" Bulma asked, watching her husband.

"To the training room." Vegeta answered through gritted teeth.

"I'll go see if I can talk to Trunks." Gohan insisted before walking out back.

With Trunks, Miyuki, & Gohan:

"It's ok, Princess. I promise we won't let him ever hurt you ever again. Great Grandma and Great Grandpa didn't know; they didn't mean to upset you. It's all going to be ok." Trunks gently told Miyuki, trying to soothe her.

'I don't care what anyone says: Miyuki's not stupid; she understands things just fine.' Trunks thought to himself as Miyuki slowly started calming down.

"Do you want a flower?" Trunks asked, barely noticing her looking up at the pink flowers in the tree; Miyuki just lightly nodded her head. There was a large flower that had her attention.

"What are you doing up there?" Gohan called up to Trunks.

"I'm getting Miyuki a flower that caught her attention." Trunks answered, pulling the flower from the branch and gave it to Miyuki.

"How are we doing?" Gohan asked when Trunks landed next to him.

"Better, I think. Can you hold her for a quick second?" Trunks asked after answering Gohan.

"Sure." Gohan replied, holding his arms out.

"Da?" Miyuki was confused.

"It's ok, Princess. Uncle Gohan is going to hold you for a few seconds." Trunks told Miyuki, handing her to Gohan.

"Can I see your flower?" Trunks asked, watching Miyuki.

"Thank you. Now, I'll place it just behind your ear like so." Trunks replied, taking the flower. He made sure there weren't any bugs before sticking it behind Miyuki's ear and taking her from Gohan.

"As much as I really don't want to know, I can't help but wonder what he did to her. Just by how she reacts to his name, it couldn't have been anywhere close to being good." Gohan admitted to Trunks.

"Trust me: I know the feeling. I can't ask Miyuki for several reasons, but I don't think I could confront him without wanting to beat the shit out of him. She's just a baby, so I don't know what she did to "deserve" any of that." Trunks replied, becoming agitated.

"Da." Miyuki mumbled, clutching him, calming him down a little.

"Somehow, I don't think this ability of hers is very fair." Trunks sighed, rocking Miyuki a little.

"Some people, like her mother and that man are just disgusting individuals. There's nothing that can be done for them—even though there are people out there who say it's just a sickness and that those people need help. Ok. Sure. There are some people who have tumors in their brain that make them do it, but that's rare. Yes, it's been proven. I've heard two cases where the people who harmed a child were sincerely sorry, and never harmed another child. But there were others who had the tumor removed and it didn't change them. Other than those scenarios; it may be a sickness, but it doesn't excuse the perpetrators. You got incredibly lucky with Miyuki and getting her when you did. She's one beautiful little girl." Gohan calmly told Trunks.

"Thanks for that." Trunks replied with a sigh.

"Any time." Gohan replied with a smile.

Suddenly, it started raining.

"In we go." Trunks and Gohan spoke, looking at the sky.

"Well, here's the rain we're supposed to get." Bulma noted.

"Are you ready to head out?" Videl asked Gohan.

"Yeah. To your dad's?" Gohan asked, walking over to Videl.

"Yep." Videl replied with a smile.

"Thanks for the mobiles." Trunks thanked Gohan and Videl.

"It's no problem; we're happy to help." Videl and Gohan replied.

"Tank you." Miyuki softly mumbled into Trunks's shoulder.

"I think that deserves two more stickers." Trunks told Miyuki.

"What's going on?" Bulma asked, confused.

"Miyuki said "thank you." It was quiet, but she said it." Trunks explained.

"You're so very welcome." Videl happily replied.

"Well, we should be headed out." Gohan told Videl and the others.

"Ok. See you later." Bulma and Trunks replied.

"Are you ready to pick out some stickers?" Trunks asked Miyuki.

"Yeah." Miyuki replied, lifting her head off his shoulder.

"Will you let Great Grandma or Great Grandpa hold you? I'll be right next to you, so you can pick your stickers." Trunks calmly told Miyuki.

"K." Miyuki softly replied, looking at Panchy and Dr. Briefs.

"I'll be right back; I have a call to make. But before I go… That is such a pretty flower." Bulma informed everyone before taking a picture.

"We'll set you on Great Grandma because I think Great Grandpa's knees are hurting." Trunks told Miyuki, setting her on Panchy's knee.

"Ok… You get a sticker for Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. And for Uncle Gohan and Aunty Videl, you get two stickers each. That's six stickers." Trunks told Miyuki, setting a few sticker books in front of her.

Miyuki chose two smiling faces for Panchy and Dr. Briefs. She chose a heart, a star, and two butterfly stickers for Gohan and Videl.

"How did your call go?" Dr. Briefs asked when Bulma walked out.

"Who did you call?" Panchy asked, curious as Miyuki put her stickers in her books.

"I called some contractors. And it went very well. Trunks: someone will be here tomorrow around noon to look at the basement with you. You can tell them what you want for you and Miyuki, and they'll tell you what they can do." Bulma explained, watching Trunks.

"Ok. Do you want to be there as well?" Trunks replied before asking, seeing something in his mother's eyes.

"I'd love to." Bulma happily accepted.

"Potty." Miyuki muttered, looking at Trunks.

"Went or go?" Trunks asked, watching her.

"Go." Miyuki answered with her hands in front of her again.

"Do you want me to take you or Mew-Mew?" Trunks asked, watching Miyuki.

"Mew-Mew." Miyuki softly answered, afraid of being wrong.

Trunks didn't even have to ask Bulma if she'd be willing; she was already lifting Miyuki.

"She's a little cutie. You did a good job. Sure, it shouldn't have happened the way it did—or when. But you're doing good." Dr. Briefs calmly told Trunks.

"She's too adorable. I will admit the ears are different, but they just make her even more adorable." Panchy happily insisted.

"Thank you." Trunks replied with a small smile.

"So, is she still in diapers? Or is she wearing little undies yet?" Panchy asked, watching Trunks.

"Right now, she's still in diapers. For the most part, she lets us know when she has to go. But she still uses her diaper from time to time. I think she's afraid of being hit if she uses her diaper. Other than a lot of torture, I don't know everything she went through with Daisy." Trunks calmly answered.

"Besides, she's too small for undies right now. Here you go." Bulma interjected herself into the conversation, handing Miyuki to Trunks.

"I put a little of her rash cream on her back." Bulma added, sitting on Vegeta's knee.

"Ticker?" Miyuki asked, tilting her head back.

"Not now, Princess. I'll let you try to crawl around and earn your stickers in a little bit." Trunks gently told Miyuki.

"K." Miyuki replied, leaning back into Trunks.

"What happened to those stickers she got from the hospital?" Vegeta asked, watching Miyuki.

"Oh, I forgot about those. Last I knew, they were in her take-home bag." Trunks replied, thinking a little.

"Where is that?" Panchy asked.

"In with all her other things we got for her last night. Hold on. Can you sit with Great Grandma again? I'll go find your stickers from the hospital so you can put them in a notebook." Trunks calmly told Miyuki, passing her to Panchy.

A Few Minutes Later:

After a few minutes, Trunks found Miyuki's take-home bag from the hospital.

"Ticker?" Miyuki eagerly asked, watching Trunks.

"Yep. Would you like to put one or two on the front cover?" Trunks asked, watching Miyuki.

"Yeah?" Miyuki asked, shyly holding her hands in front of her chest.

"Hands down. You're not going to get in trouble for answering "yes" or "no" to something anyone asks you. Nobody will ever hit you for that again. Look at your stickers and tell me which one or two you want on the front." Trunks calmly told Miyuki, gently pushing her hands down.

She pointed to the cat stickers; she wanted them on the front.

"Ok. Make sure they stick to the cover." Trunks told Miyuki, handing her one of the cat stickers.

Miyuki placed the first sticker on the top right corner and the second one she put on the bottom left corner.

"Now, this book is different than all your other books. In this one, you can put your stickers wherever you want—so long as they're in the book and not anywhere else.

On the first page, Miyuki "strategically" placed her stickers:

The fairy sticker was placed in the center next to the butterfly sticker.

The rainbow sticker was placed upside down on the top of the page.

The unicorn sticker was placed slanted on the bottom of the page.

The star sticker was placed inside the upside-down rainbow sticker.

"Would you like a cupcake?" Bulma asked, watching Miyuki.

"Yeah!" Miyuki excitedly answered, wiggling around.

"Would you like something to drink with it?" Bulma asked, getting up.

"Moo-moo." Miyuki shyly answered, holding her hands in front of her stomach.

"Moo-moo? That's new." Bulma spoke, walking to the kitchen.

"Milk?" Trunks asked Miyuki.

"Moo-moo." Miyuki answered with a small smile.

"She wants milk, Mom." Trunks answered, smiling at Miyuki; he loved her smile. It wasn't often that he or anyone got to see it.

"Cupcake and milk it is." Bulma enthusiastically repeated.

"I'm surprised she didn't ask for orange juice." Vegeta spoke up.

"No. Moo-moo." Miyuki replied, watching Vegeta as Trunks set her back in her highchair.

"Orange juice doesn't go well with cupcakes, does it?" Panchy asked with a smile.

"No." Miyuki answered, shaking her head.

"Plus, I think we've had enough orange juice for a little bit." Trunks added, watching Miyuki.

"Is something wrong, Trunks?" Bulma asked after giving Miyuki a chocolate cupcake and a new bottle with milk in it.

"No. Just thinking. I still have to call and get her an appointment at the clinic yet." Trunks sighed.

"Well, that is part of being a parent." Dr. Briefs stated.

"Yes, I know. One: I don't know how she'll handle that. Two: all the information Future Trunks gave us… I don't know. I'm just nervous and dreading that call." Trunks replied, watching Miyuki eat her cupcake, getting frosting all over her face.

"What's really bothering you?" Vegeta sternly questioned, watching Trunks.

"Don't think you can try to hide things from us. We're your parents; we know when something's wrong." Bulma added, concerned.

"I'm just worried about what Future Trunks told us—about her being bullied and not really having friends." Trunks answered, placing his hand on Miyuki's head.

"Well—we don't know when, but Future Trunks said that Shenron would be making her some little friends. And she makes a little friend on her own. So, while I know it's harder said than done, but relax a little, and don't worry so much." Bulma thoughtfully told Trunks.

"Besides, her making friends right now is the least of your concerns. She's too young for friends and will be for quite some time yet. She has plenty of time to make friends later on down the road. For now, you need to worry about Miyuki and her wellbeing. You need to concentrate on getting her to trust her family and our circle of people." Vegeta firmly yet sincerely told Trunks.

"Yeah. And just wait until she's older and gets a boyfriend—or girlfriend depending on her preference." Panchy happily added, momentarily causing the color to drain from Trunks's face.

"I don't want to think about her dating or having a proper mate." Trunks grumbled, putting his face in his hands.

"Get used to it. I'd prefer it Bulla didn't date or have a mate, but she does." Vegeta grumbled, leaning back.

"Oh, you two… It's natural and bound to happen someday. But you probably don't have to worry about Miyuki and boys for quite a long time. It will most likely be thirty to thirty-three years before she even starts to notice boys. And then if you're lucky, it won't be thirty-eight or so years before she wants to start dating. And as long as you teach her about sex before she's a fourteen, she won't want to start having sex for at least forty-one or so years. How many parents can say any of that? Clearly, your father and I can't. But we do love Miyuki very much." Bulma calmly told Trunks with a smile.

"There's a face for you." Vegeta noted, watching Miyuki scrunch up her face at the mention of "sex."

"Sex bothers her? She shouldn't even know what sex is." Panchy stated.

"She shouldn't, no. But something tells me that she does because of Daisy and all the men who hurt her. Come here, Princess. Nobody's ever going to make you have sex ever again. And if anyone does hurt you like that again, you tell any of us, and we'll take care of them." Trunks replied before calmly speaking to Miyuki, rocking her a little.

"Do you want to earn some more stickers for your crawling book?" Trunks asked after a few minutes.

"Yeah." Miyuki answered, rubbing her eyes.

"Can you sit with Pop-Pop for a few minutes so I can cut up some stickers for you?" Trunks asked Miyuki.

"K." Miyuki replied, rubbing her eyes.

"Or would you like to take a nap first?" Trunks asked, watching Miyuki.

"No." Miyuki mumbled, rubbing her face on his shoulder.

"Would you like to try your cradle swing with the butterflies Uncle Gohan and Aunty Videl brought for you yesterday?" Trunks asked, standing up.

"Yeah." Miyuki answered, still rubbing her face on his shoulder.

Carefully, Trunks placed Miyuki in her cradle and strapped her in. He then angled it a little, turned the rocking motion on, and finally turned the mobile on.

Pretty soon, Miyuki was watching the butterflies flying around above her while listening to the soft music that accompanied them.

"Ok, I'm going to cut out stickers for you." Trunks gently told Miyuki, stepping back.

"K." Miyuki muttered, watching the butterflies.

Not even five minutes later, Miyuki was sleeping peacefully with her hands above her head, slowly swaying back and forth.

"She's too adorable!" Bulma and Panchy simultaneously cooed, taking pictures.

At the same time, Trunks was cutting out stickers for Miyuki while Vegeta sat at the table, grumbling.

Dr. Briefs was taking a nap on the couch.

Two Hours Later:

1:37 PM:

"Well, good morning, Princess." Trunks greeted Miyuki once her eyes were fully open after stretching.

"What's wrong?" Trunks asked, watching Miyuki shake.

"I potty." Miyuki cried, tears just pouring down her cheeks.

"That's ok. That's what diapers are for; we'll just change you into a clean one. There's no need to cry. Do you need to go again?" Trunks gently told her before asking, lifting her into his arms. Miyuki shook her head, "no."

"I'm home!" Bulla called, walking through the front door.

"What are you doing home so early? School doesn't end for another hour and a half." Bulma asked, watching Bulla.

"Hold that thought; let me look at my favorite granddaughter first." Panchy insisted, walking over.

"Grandma, Grandpa: I've missed you." Bulla happily greeted Panchy and Dr. Briefs.

"We've missed you too." Panchy and Dr. Briefs replied, hugging her.

"Now that you've all greeted each other, what are you doing home already?" Bulma asked again, watching Bulla.

"Summer Break. Now, before you say anything, let me explain. First, there was some kind of accident in one of the bathrooms. No, I don't know what. Then, there were two small fires: one in one of the science rooms and the other in the cafeteria. Finally, the power went out. So, the principal decided to just let everyone out for the rest of the year. Clean out our lockers and then head home. So, here I am." Bulla answered.

"How did you get home?" Vegeta asked, watching Bulla.

"Marron drove me. Goten had something to do with Chi-Chi, so he couldn't come get me." Bulla answered, knowing what her father was asking.

"Ok." Bulma and Vegeta sighed, watching Bulla head to her room.

"When you drop your things off, come back out; we have presents." Panchy excitedly told Bulla.

"Ok." Bulla replied with a smile.

"How are we doing? Do you need me to change her diaper?" Bulma asked, watching Trunks walk out with an upset Miyuki.

"No, I got her changed and put her diaper rash cream on with little struggle. She pooped as well, and she immediately became upset, hid her face in her hands, and started crying. I've been telling her it's ok, but she's not having any of it this time." Trunks explained, rocking Miyuki.

"We have presents for you, your daddy, Bulla, Grandma, and Grandpa." Panchy cheerfully told Miyuki, trying to help. Miyuki just kept crying.

"Mom, Dad… How many times do we have to tell you? We don't anything." Bulma told Panchy and Dr. Briefs, shaking her head.

"I tried that already." Trunks told Bulma with a small smile.

"Hey, do you want to earn some of your stickers for your crawling book?" Trunks asked Miyuki, pacing back and forth.

"Yeah." Miyuki cried.

"Well, then you need to calm down. If you keep wasting energy crying, you won't have energy to crawl to earn your stickers." Trunks calmly told Miyuki.

"We hate to be a bother, but we do have to get home to start packing our things so we can move back. We would like to see you all open your presents." Dr. Briefs calmly spoke, interrupting everything.

"That would give Miyuki to calm down and have energy to crawl." Vegeta insisted as Miyuki finally stopped bawling.

"Ok." Everyone else agreed, walking to the living room.

"Excuse the mess. Until we get the basement ready, the living room will be a bit messy." Bulma calmly told her parents, having them sit on the couch with Trunks and Miyuki between them.

Bulla and Bulma sat in the chairs while Vegeta stood.

"Vegeta." Panchy happily handed Vegeta his gift and waited for him to open it.

"Do you want to see Pop-Pop open his present?" Bulla asked, watching Miyuki.

"Yeah." Miyuki softly answered with her finger in her mouth, trying to find Vegeta.

Trunks sat forward a little and turned Miyuki just enough to see Vegeta.

"Aww! Vegeta's being such a good sport." Panchy enthusiastically cheered, watching Vegeta open his gift.

"Socks?" Bulla asked, confused, watching Vegeta pull out three pairs of socks: black, dark blue, and dark red.

"Not just any socks: they're training socks. We've got some for Goku and the rest of the guys as well; we just figured we'd give Vegeta his first. It's a new invention of mine. You can wear them around the house as well. They're a little heavier than regular socks as well, but they're soft as well. Besides helping you train, I made them so they'd be deceiving to others." Dr. Briefs explained, watching Vegeta.

"I helped design them." Panchy added with a smile.

It wasn't until Vegeta turned the socks over that they understood what she meant:

All three pairs of socks were decorated with flowers surrounding "The Briefs-Saiyan Alliance" on both sides.

"Thanks." Vegeta thanked Dr. Briefs and Panchy, trying to smile.

"Dad, can we see your socks?" Trunks asked, holding a squirmy Miyuki; she's the one who wanted to feel the socks.

"Sure." Vegeta replied, stepping behind the couch. He knew damn well that if he stepped in front of them, Panchy would try to hug him.

Vegeta placed the sock on Trunks's shoulder, and Miyuki was all over it.

"She likes soft things." Trunks answered the confused look on his grandparents' faces.

"And her grandfather." Dr. Briefs noted when Miyuki held Vegeta's finger and looked up at him.

'You know, child; that ability of yours is unfair.' Vegeta telepathically told Miyuki, looking into her eyes.

"That's what I said earlier." Trunks absentmindedly replied.

"What was said earlier?" Panchy asked, curious.

"About Miyuki loving Dad. I said something before I went to the store to get Miyuki's baby monitors and stickers." Trunks explained.

'Good save.' Vegeta told Trunks.

'Shut up.' Trunks telepathically grumbled back.

"Anyway, it's time for Bulma to open her present." Dr. Briefs insisted, handing Bulla Bulma's gift to give to her.

"Time to watch Mew-Mew." Trunks told Miyuki, turning her to face Bulma while Vegeta took the socks back.

"Oh, you didn't…" Bulma spoke in disbelief, opening a new state-of-the-art chemistry set, costing $950.

"We knew how much you needed a new one." Panchy insisted with a smile.

"And don't worry. I didn't pay a thing; I won it in a contest. I wasn't planning on entering it until I saw that set was involved, knowing you needed one." Dr. Briefs insisted.

"Thank you." Bulma thanked her parents, at a loss for words.

"And for our Bulla." Dr. Briefs insisted, handing Bulla a box.

"We were going to wait to give you this until you were a little older, but we figured, with all this stuff, now would be the best time." Panchy told Bulla with a smile.

"Wow. This is so pretty. Thank you." Bulla thanked her grandparents—not knowing what it was.

"That's been in the family for generations. My grandmother gave it to me when I was sixteen and her grandmother gave to her when she was sixteen. It was created for her mother by her father at the time. I had thought about your mother, but Aunt Tights wanted it, and wouldn't let it go, so I kept it, deciding to give it to my oldest granddaughter. Originally, it was just a emerald encrusted broach, but when it broke several years back, your grandfather fixed it up, and turned it into a beautiful necklace with a sterling silver chain." Panchy explained with a smile.

"Thank you." Bulla thanked her again, placing the necklace around her neck.

"And Trunks." Panchy happily insisted, pushing a box with four gifts in it.

"You really didn't have to do this." Trunks told Panchy and Dr. Briefs.

"Oh, pish posh. Again, you're our only grandson, and we want to do this for you. Just as Bulla is our only granddaughter—and now Miyuki is our only great granddaughter: we want to do this stuff for you—and your parents. Now, these are your birthday presents: open them first." Dr. Briefs insisted, watching Trunks.

"Do you want to help?" Trunks asked, watching Miyuki.

"Hep?" Miyuki asked, looking at the pretty-wrapped boxes.

"Of course, you can help. Hold on. Ok, pull the paper. Go ahead and rip it." Trunks told Miyuki, pulling the paper a little.

Slowly and cautiously, she pulled the wrapping paper.

"Good girl. Rip another piece." Trunks praised Miyuki before she could start crying because she "broke" something.

"I think she's done." Bulla noted, watching Miyuki play with a piece of wrapping paper.

"Come on." Vegeta sighed, lifting Miyuki so Trunks could open his presents easier.

"Don't put that in your mouth." Vegeta calmly told Miyuki when she tried eating the wrapping paper.

Dr. Briefs and Panchy got Trunks a new football and the Harry Potter book collection for his birthday.

Because he was now nineteen, Dr. Briefs gave Trunks his fancy silver pocket watch decorated with the family crest. The pocket watch had been in the family for generations—on the men's side.

The second gift was a little more personal: it was a purple blanket that read, "Brand New Father of A Little Girl," with "Trunks & Miyuki" below that.

"Where on Earth did you find that?" Bulma asked, taking a picture of the blanket after Trunks held it up for everyone to see.

"I have a friend who makes special blankets. I suppose we could've had more done, but she would've had to keep it longer to make it. I called her and asked if she could something quickly. She said in a rush, she was only able to put words on it. She owed me a favor, so she put everything else aside for this. I see she was able to get two small flowers as well. Do you like it?" Panchy explained before asking.

"No, I love it; it means more to me than anything else. Well, this and the watch." Trunks replied, standing up to hug his grandparents.

"We're glad you love them." Dr. Briefs told Trunks as Panchy hugged the life out of him.

"Da?" Miyuki asked, confused.

"Come here, Princess." Trunks took Miyuki back from Vegeta and let her feel the blanket.

"And of course, we can't forget about our little great grandbaby. We didn't have time to wrap her presents, but we also know that babies don't care about things like that. So, we just put her things in birthday bags." Panchy informed Trunks, handing him three bags.

"Thank you. Can you tell Great Grandma and Great Grandpa thank you?" Trunks asked Miyuki after thanking them, taking the bags.

"Tank you." Miyuki shyly thanked Panchy and Dr. Briefs.

The first thing Miyuki pulled out was a squishy stress ball. It looks like it was filled with slime when you squeezed the ball. That had her attention; she wouldn't stop squeezing it.

"Miyuki, Princess; it's time to move on." Trunks told Miyuki, taking the ball from her.

"You can have it back after you finish opening your presents. Great Grandma and Great Grandpa have to get going soon." Trunks explained, seeing Miyuki's confusion.

The next gift she pulled out was a soft, tie-dyed teddy bear. Miyuki just loved that as she started hugging it.

It was like, "screw the ball; I have a teddy bear."

"One more. You can hold your new friend, but you have to take out what's in this bag. If you don't, I'll have to take the teddy bear too." Trunks told Miyuki, holding the bag in front of her.

Slowly, Miyuki reached into the bag and pulled out:

"Arm floaties?" Bulma asked, confused, looking at pink arm floaties.

"There's one for around her waist as well." Trunks noted when Miyuki pulled that out.

"And little duckies." Bulla added when Miyuki pulled out three little rubber ducks.

"Bathtub toys?" Bulma asked, confused.

"They go with one of these." Panchy explained, bringing in two small plastic pools from outside.

"What in the world are those?" Vegeta asked, looking at the pools.

"What are we going to do with two pools?" Bulma asked, looking at the pools.

"Well, when Trunks is comfortable, this one with the turtles and fishes will be for swimming. This plain purple one, we were thinking you could use as a sandbox." Dr. Briefs calmly explained.

"Thank you, Grandma, Grandpa. I did say I wanted to get her a little pool at some time. Though, I was going to wait. But this works fine. I just don't know where we're supposed to get sand—and sand Miyuki would feel comfortable with. I'd have to test different sands with her." Trunks thanked Panchy and Dr. Briefs.

"Here. This is a home improvement store about fifteen minutes from you. They have an area with children's play equipment. They have a few different types of sands you can test." Dr. Briefs explained, handing Trunks a card.

"Thank you." Trunks thanked them again.

"Of course. Well, we should be heading out for now." Dr. Briefs insisted with a smile.

"Thanks for coming. We have to help Tien with his house when he gets back but call and we'll help you when you move home." Bulma insisted, hugging her parents.

"Thanks for allowing us to meet Miyuki." Dr. Briefs and Panchy replied, hugging the others.

"Can we get a hug?" Panchy asked, watching Miyuki shyly cling to Trunks.

"K." Miyuki softly replied, allowing Panchy and Dr. Briefs to hug her—as long as Trunks didn't let her go.

And with that, they were gone.

"I think that earns you four more stickers." Trunks told Miyuki after she hugged Panchy and Dr. Briefs.

"Tickers." Miyuki happily repeated, squeezing her new ball.

"Are you ready to earn your other stickers by crawling?" Trunks asked.

"Yeah." Miyuki answered before Trunks set her down behind the couch.

"Ok. Stay right there while I spread out some stickers for you." Trunks instructed.

"Miyuki's such a good little girl." Bulma cooed, watching Miyuki.

"You do realize she's not only a baby, but that she also most likely has Stockholm Syndrome, don't you?" Bulla asked, watching her mother.

"Yeah, but if we treat her with love, care, kindness, and fairness, maybe she won't be so—scared." Bulma replied, pausing to think of the right word.

"Aside from being part of our family, Miyuki is never going to be normal. And that's just fine, isn't it, Miyuki? Because we'll all love you no matter what." Trunks interjected after hearing the conversation. He then told Miyuki how much they loved her after he got her stickers set up.

"Lub Da." Miyuki told Trunks for the very first time, looking into his eyes.

"I love you, too. Now, do you remember how to get on your hands and knees? Or do you need help?" Trunks replied, trying not to cry before asking her.

Trunks didn't know what to think when Miyuki fell onto her side and then rolled onto her stomach.

"Hep—pease." Miyuki asked Trunks for help when she couldn't figure out how to bend her knees. She got her arms figured out, but not her knees.

"Ok. Hold still." Trunks instructed, carefully getting her knees to where they were supposed to be.

"Now, go get what stickers you can. If you get tired, that's ok." Trunks told Miyuki before he stood up.

It took her a few seconds, but Miyuki slowly started crawling to her first sticker.

"Oh, Trunks!" Bulma cried, hugging Trunks.

"Mom? What's wrong?" Trunks asked, only slightly confused.

"She told you she loved you." Bulma emotionally told Trunks.

"Yes, I know. I'm trying not to cry. Her eye appointment can't come soon enough." Trunks replied before sighing, watching Miyuki struggling to find her stickers.

"When is that?" Bulla asked, watching Trunks.

"Wednesday, June 12th at 11:40 AM." Trunks answered, watching Miyuki collapse, struggling to breathe a little.

"Ok, come on; that's enough." Trunks calmly told Miyuki, lifting her into his arms.

"T-t-ticker." Miyuki breathed, holding up two stickers.

"Very good. We'll get you your glasses in a few weeks, and you'll be able to see the stickers better." Trunks told Miyuki, picking up the two stickers she passed, plus one extra.

"What about the rest of the stickers?" Bulla asked, confused.

"She didn't make it that far. Because she's pretty well blind in her left eye, Miyuki can't see very well, so she missed two stickers. She earns these stickers by at least making it to them. I will pick the other sticker up in a little bit and put them in some kind of container for the next time. She also has stickers for how she does with our friends and other family and for her therapy. Do you want your milk?" Trunks explained before asking Miyuki.

"Yeah." Miyuki breathed.

"I will help you with your stickers in a little bit. I have to go pick all the other ones up." Trunks told Miyuki, placing her in her cradle before picking up the stickers.

When he turned to get Miyuki from her cradle, she was watching the butterflies…
