Disclaimer: I don't own RWBY; Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum own it.

On the one hand, I suppose to myself; the woods are just nearby; rather than take the bastards head-on, I could draw them in the forest while killing them one by one.

"No. Too risky." Summer and Qrow are far too weak even to stand must less fight against a highly trained foe. He swings his ball of solid iron around and around like it's second nature to him, knocking one of them off the cliff to fall when they tried to close the gap. I figure he can take them out, but not the woman in front of me.

Even with centuries of experience and better weapons, I got my ass kicked. I glance around me, noticing the soldiers keeping their distance away from the blonde man, "Tai, am assuming.", whose skill with his weapon seems to be almost by heart. But numbers and exhaustion will be his downfall eventually.

On the other hand, I can join the fight with him. I can see one of them trying to fire my captured weapon at Tai, failing, clueless at the fact that my gun won't fire without the right electrical signal. Even then, the recoil might disorient him as the AK-193 shoots with a much powerful electrical discharge to propel a larger than a normal bullet. The sadist woman is sneering as she grips her sword, getting ready to engage Tai.

I decide to aid him.

Sprinting, I yell out in fury as I tackle her side with almost inhuman speed as my pain receptors on my legs are disabled, keeping her sword point to the ground as she throws a fist into my direction. Dodging it, I pummel her numerous times. A vine wraps around my torso, lifting me in the air. I see the Atlesian doing his little magic trick; he calls out, "This is for Hick!" slamming me down into the ground. Slightly dazed, I futility start tearing his vines wrapped around me.

"H.U.D.A.C.C, mountain grips." sharp claws shoot out of my fingers, their main purpose usually for climbing up cliffs or rocks, but can serve as makeshift weapons. I cut my way out of the vine. I rush towards him, barreling rolling out of incoming vines, the man trying to close the distance. "Stay!" a man shouts out...

"Uh...no?" I fight the urge to laugh during my fight, taking the opportunity to activate my camouflage to confuse him, making me near invisible. The man tries to get away but gets hooked in the leg with a rope shot, and I throw him down into the ground. I keep hearing the other one say "stay" over and over, along with curses. I grab vine man by the neck and ready to slam him down, but thrown aside from a blur of speed.

"Hey man, watch out, these guys are the Ace ops!" Tai shouts at me. I think of this as it does make sense: their expertise and tactics are off the charts, perhaps even rival U.N black op teams in terms of sheer power- although, if we're going to be real, I would also like the 'semblance' these guys have. "One guy with vines and- am really guessing- another able to freeze people in place. Gotta stay on my toes, don't know what these other guys can do.", barely standing on my feet before being knocked over again from a blur of light, lightning flashing in front of me every time. The person runs at speed, akin to Summer, but hits harder.

The three of them surround me: vine man in front, stay man to my left, readying his gun, and the speedster stops to my right, the cliff behind me. One powerful kick can send me off the hill. Looking past them, I see Tai fighting the white-haired woman, a second woman with a large-looking hammer, alongside her is the person who is trying to fire my AK-193, who seems to give up on the idea, instead, whipping out a...fishing rod?

"Seriously, what the fuck kind of weapons do these guys use? What's next, a fucking minigun in a suitcase?"

I grab a nine-banger off my vest, chucking it in front of them all whilst shielding my eyes.

A banging sound rang nine times; the people around me were stunned and stumbled. Taking this chance, I rush the man who keeps saying "stay," throwing an adrenaline fused punch, knocking him out cold; his body flickers in color from his 'aura' being broken. Before the other two can take their chance, I take the unconscious body and throw it at the speedster. She dodges swiftly but falls as her body doesn't make the turn right.

"Now!"

"Activating Firefly protocol." my arm spits out a stream of nanobots on fire, their magnesium bodies burning as they surge towards their targets: she sees this and sprints around the flying fire, while the guy tries to wrap vines around him but prove to provide little protection against my flames. Running forward into the artificial fire, I attack an opening in his defense and land several punches as his aura flickers out, his face stiffly shut closed.

"H.U.D.A.C.C, where's-" she knocks me a foot away from vine's body, her face contorting with rage as I can smell some char- most likely from her singed hair and clothes- where starts landing blow after blow all over me. I can feel my adrenaline crawl away as my safety protocols jump back into place to stop my organs from beating too quickly despite my life and death situation. Every punch and kick sends jolts of pain into my cybernetic skin, with my pain receptors sending signals into my panicked head. I weakly throw a punch, but she dodges, grabbing my arm in a lock, ready to break it.

I see my pistol away from me. I grab her face to move her away, only to be kneed in the groin, doubling in pain. The speedster armlocks me as my body tries to send lines of air into my brain with no effect. Gasping, I grip her face, claw at her arms, struggle to move her tightly-locked arms as she shrugs off my attacks. Flipping me over, so she's on top, she slams me into the stone. Her speed quickly places me in a much deadly predicament.

Whatever strength I have left, I see another one of my pistols in front of me, just out of reach. When they captured us, they must have taken my weapons as souvenirs, probably confused at the fact the pistol isn't powered by 'dust.' Pushing this fleeting aside for a chance to retrieve my pistol, my arm weakly stretches out; I try wriggling towards it even as my vision starts getting blurry.

I try to reach out for my gun before I let out a strangled last breath.

The operative sharply stiffens and lets go of my neck as I hear her thud to the ground.

I painfully breathe again, coughing, looking behind me to see who just saved my life.

Qrow stands behind me with an oversized sword in hand, the blunt side sporting a splatter of blood. We look at each other for a moment, before he extends a hand, I grab it, muttering a "Thanks," Qrow responding with, "You get Summer and Ruby out of here."

Tai is busy fighting off the remain Ace ops but steadily losing ground. Summer kneeling in exhaustion as I can see evidence of bruises, while Ruby slumps unconscious in the dirt near the edge of the cliff. Turning back to Qrow, I say, "You guys need backup. Two against three ain't gonna help it."

"You don't understand."

"Understand what? That you buys are about to become dog kibble in a second?"

"Tai is going to come with you, Summer and Ruby. I can't fight-"

"That's fucking suicide!"

"My semblance-"

"Your semblance ain't going to do shit for dick against three specially trained operatives!"

"Shut up for a second and listen, dammit!"

"No! You and Summer grab Ruby and-"

"My semblance could kill you!"

"Kill me?" I stop my consistent arguing with Qrow, panting bursts of air as I ask him, "What do you mean?"

He pauses, looking at Tai almost lose his footing before turning back, "I don't have time to explain: the gist is that my semblance gives bad luck. It'll be better if I fight them alone."

Looking at him, then at Tai, then finally at the unconscious duo, I tell him, "...Alright, get Tai out alive, and I'll get your wife and daughter back to the house."

Fumbling his pockets, he shoves in my hand a piece of paper. "Forget the house," turning to leave as he looks over his shoulder, "The White Fang will help you better than a burning rumble. If I don't arrive at night, just forget about me." he walks away.

Getting up, I tell him, "Hey," he stops, "Not when I am here. You think about that when you're a hundred. I'll make sure you all come back." I dash across the fight, grabbing my pistols. She sees me running towards the unconscious women and tries to throw off Tai's attack. Nodding to her subordinate, he runs at the woman wielding the hammer. She seems to anchor herself in the ground before using her hammer to propel the man into the air. He seems to fly like a bird, getting smaller and smaller before gravity does its damn job as he comes closer and closer to me.

I activate my camouflage, but it flickers and dies.

"Uhh...H.U.D.A.C.C?"

"Sir. It seems the Vision Distortion Camouflage needs to recharge."

"Goddammit, H.U.D.A.C.C, at a bad fucking time?" was my last thought as he lands on top of me. Falling back, I unleash a round of bullets at him but seem to maneuver out of the bullet's path luckily. Throwing a smoke grenade batman-style, I make a desperate run towards Summer and Ruby, my sensors indicating that, even in an equal fight, Qrow and Tai are being outmatched by both women's with Tai being trapped in ice before smashed back against a tree. Qrow seems to be doing better, his foe having an unfortunate bit of bad luck now and then. "Qrow wasn't really kidding about his semblance causing bad luck." I finally managed to get close to Summer and Ruby.

Before my right arm gets wrapped in a kind of string.

The man yanks me back towards. Deciding I've had enough; I unleash a fury of attacks mixed with Fireflies in an attempt to either set the son of a bitch on fire or land a lucky shot at him. Cursing, I swing a roundhouse kick as he finishes one of his turns, finally catching him off-guard. However, his rod is connected to my arm. When he falls from my kick, I, too, get dragged with him. Getting progressively pissed, I get a second surge of adrenaline- and a delicious cocktail of steroids, dopamine, along with whatever the fuck increases muscle strength and anger. Ripping the fishing hook off my arm, I run furiously at him. He's not even up before I unleash a punch so powerful I swear a tooth or something flew off. Savagely I pound his body into a pulp as his aura shatters, and broken bone and blood can be seen and heard. I grab his head and smash it several times into rock.

Satisfied, my adrenaline cocktail dips off, and I turn to face Qrow and Tai: it's not good. Progressively Tai is becoming slower and sluggish, unlike the white-haired woman who is enjoying this moment. Cocky, she grabs his arm and throws him at Qrow. Qrow is surprised when he realizes his friend is suddenly used as a makeshift projectile, knocked aside. The hammer woman takes this chance to fire a barrage of missiles at me, her hammer changing shape to take the form of a rocket launcher. Six rockets come flying at me as they trail off smoke, their obvious intent to make me into a pile of scrap and flesh.

It only takes a second to activate my personal shield. The destructive energy either melts the snow and blows up the dirt in front of me but leaves me virtually unscathed as a blue flicker is briefly seen from all. "His semblance must be a deflection of some kind!" she barks to the other woman, who acknowledges this, getting ready to jump at me and place her hammer on my head. Near her, I see a cache of weapons that faintly look like mine.

"If I can get to that cache of weapons, I'll be able to take her out quickly, recover the four of them and-"

A powerful flash of yellow pops out of the forest. The hammer woman is in the air, defenseless, unable to fight back. She gets blown away from the blast of energy, going over the cliff as well.

Focusing on where that shot came from, I spot a girl, probably ten or eleven, stand there with her left and right arms stretched out. Both wrists wearing a yellow gauntlet with a ring of red cartridges alining her wrists.

Not just her either, I can see in the treetop Blake also, besides her Adam Taurus.

"What the? Where did they come from?"

"Sir.", H.U.D.A.C.C snaps me out of my stupor, "It seems that girl is on our side. As you thought clear earlier: Let's get this son of a bitch."
