1 Day Later…

"I can totally see it. You two could be brothers" Qrow pointed out. Followed by a screaming Power yelling "I TOLD YOU DIDN'T I?"

"You don't have to yell I'm right next to you," an annoyed Megumi murmured as he took a bite out of his sandwich while looking at Aki who was sitting across the table from him "and we don't look that much alike."

Aki nodded in agreement "yes I do not know where you get this ridiculous notion" he said. Qrow kept sneaking glances at the table, noting the obvious similarity between his working partner and the agent at Divion 4.

Denji sat a table away biting into his toast with jam as he observed the two newcomers to the building. They had been the talk of the office for the past day. These mysterious strangers coming to help out in their investigation of the Gun Devil. But Denji just kept watch over them, just like Makima had asked of him.

Power was sitting next to Megumi and eyeing him up, licking her lips as if he was the latest piece of candy. Her hand under the table was rubbing over Megumi's thigh and as it slowly creeped upwards she squeezed. Megumi grunted in annoyance, keeping a surprisingly straight face throughout it.

"Could you please stop that?" Megumi asked in a demanding tone.

"Hmmm you got fire in you. I bet your blood tastes delicious" Power remarked licking her lips as she continued to ogle the young man sitting next to her.

"Oh I can assure you young lady his blood would be a sour as his usual mood" Qrow said jokingly, but this did not deter Power who continued longingly staring at a very stoic but clearly uncomfortable Megumi.

Denji saw Qrow standing up "I'm going to get some fresh air. Give you two lovebirds a little bit of quality time" he told with a clear sarcastic undertone. Megumi groaned and replied with a "I hate you" to which Qrow just smiled as he turned the corner and walked to the exit.

Denji waited a few seconds before he stood up and began to walk after him. Neither Aki nor Power saying anything about it, with only Megumi giving him a suspicious glance. Denji turned the corner leading towards the exit door. He ran towards it and sprung outside looking for the older man that had just left. Looking left and right but seeing no sight of him. A confused Denji looked around for a good few minutes only to realize the man had disappeared into nowhere, even though he had only been gone for a few seconds.

Thoroughly confused Denji bolted up the stairs, his first instinct to immediately tell miss Makima about this occurrence. Running up the stairs and nearly tripping until he reached Makima's office and he immediately slammed through the doors without hesitation.

"Miss Makima you need to know…"

He stopped speaking as he noticed Makima on the nearby couch talking to a man, and they both turned their heads towards him. Denji looked over the man sitting next to Makima, he was clearly an older man, dressed neatly in a red dress shirt and grey and gold colored waistcoat with matching grey pants. The most notable thing about him was the left side of his face which looked noticeably disfigured, as if it had been infected long ago.

"Denji what's wrong?" Makima asked curiously as she looked at him.

"I…uh…who…" Denji stammered as he pointed at the man sitting next to her, who looked at him with a stoic expression that would give Megumi a run for his money.

"Oh this is Mr. Silco, he is a part of the organization I am affiliated with" Makima explained smiling. The man stood up from the couch and walked over to Denji with an extended hand "nice to meet you boy" he said.

But Denji didn't shake his hand and instead walked right past him and straight towards the woman he loved and adored.

"Miss Makima…what is he doing here?" he asked trying to hold back his clear jealousy. Something Makima could see through very easily.

"Mr. Silco is just here to discuss some important matters. That is all" Makima explained casually with a smile on her face. Denji blushed as he kept looking at her and fell his heart beat fast in his chest.

"He needs to learn some manners" Silco stated coldly.

In an instant Denji had turned around and yelled "what did you just say to me scarface!" to which Silco responded with a simple scoff.

"Denji," he heard Makima say behind him "that's not very nice of you. Mr. Silco is a very important part of the organization I work for. Apologize to him."

Denji quickly through gritted teeth muttered a fast "I'm sorry…"

Silco smirked "well I see you have your dog on quite a leash Makima. Regardless I think it is about time I take my leave" he said as he returned to the couch and grabbed a stack of documents from the nearby table before turning back and heading towards the door. Just as he was about to leave through the door, Makima stepped up from the couch and spoke up.

"I hope you consider my proposition Mr. Silco. Considering the current state of the Baron" she said as she clasped her arms behind her back and stood next to Denji.

"We will consider it Makima. But the Baron's state should not concern you. What you should be concerned about is locating the Gun Devil. We are growing quite impatient with your waiting, so if you want to secure this spot you better step up your efforts. Do I make myself clear?"

Denji couldn't believe what he saw. He never saw Makima being berated like that, and looking at her he noted she didn't change her expression at all.

"Absolutely clear" Makima simply said as Silco left the room shortly after. Makima walked over towards where her desk stood and stared out of the window.

"Miss Makima…what's…what's going on?" Denji asked concerned. Makima just kept staring out of the window, noticing a black bird suddenly fly across the window and down the streets below. Slowly she turned her head to Denji and in a soft tone spoke.

"It's time you learn the truth about what I do Denji."

A/N: Alright the story is slowly but surely getting closer to the rest of the series. Though I try to keep it its own separate thing for people to enjoy as they wish. Let me know what you think about the Megumi x Power shipping because I think this ship could sail for all the wrong reasons since the characters are so vastly different but I like you guys input, why not some multiverse crossed lovers extra for the series am I right.
