Chapter 24

Harri woke up around noon the next day. She sat up and looked around and saw that Sirius was still asleep. Harri smiled at him fondly and ordered their breakfast for them in the meanwhile. When breakfast arrived, Harri took the food and waited for Sirius to wake up from the smell. It only took like a minute for him to wake up and Harri grinned at him.

"Time for breakfast!" Harri chirped. Harri set the breakfast on his lap and dug into the food.

"What's all of this?" Sirius asked, already starting on his porridge.

"Breakfast in bed." Harri obviously stated, slathering her scones in jelly, and dipping it into her tea to the amusement of Sirius.

"Your father use to do that as well." Harri smiled at him. He had told her the same thing in her original timeline.

"I guess some traits do pass down." Harri giggled and continued drowning her scone in her tea.

"I bet you get your temper from your paternal Grandmother" Harri laughed out loud at this, and Sirius was happy that he got to hear her laughter.

"Maybe, or just the Black trait kicking in and wanting to wreak havoc." Sirius laughed at that.

"I can't argue with that. Your father and I always found ourselves in the middle of trouble" Harri grinned at that.

"I tend to go look for it, if I try to avoid it, it will just find me in the end. But if I look for it, I can take it straight on with no surprises and I can actually be prepared for it." Sirius nodded at her reasoning.

"What trouble have you've gotten yourself in recently?" Sirius asked with a smirk on her face, already thinking that she couldn't have done much in the first 5 days since the beginning of term.

"On the first day of term, I set like 700 chocolate frogs on the Hogwarts express and had a concert in the middle of the walkway." Sirius stared surprised at her before bursting out laughing and wincing at the discomfort it brought to his chest.

"Take it easy there Sirius" Harri gently advised him. Sirius nodded and continued to chuckle a bit.

"You did that?" Sirius finally asked bewildered.

Harri nodded at him. "Yeah, I can give you the memory of it if we get a pensive"

"I believe that one of the Black vaults has a pensive that we can use" Sirius said thoughtfully chewing on his bacon. Harri nodded at him and continued to eat her other breakfast.

After Harri had finished her breakfast, she said. "Today, let's go to your house and get everything else settled" Sirius nodded at her with a mouthful of bacon in his mouth.

"I suppose you can't apparate both of us." Harri stated as a matter of fact.

Sirius nodded at that. "Not for a while at least."

Harri nodded and then suggested, "We could take the Day bus, or floo there if the floo system is open." Sirius shook his head before she had finished.

"My father was paranoid, he shut down all of the floo system to the house. So, the Day bus it is." Harri nodded and stood up from the bed."

"Let's go home first to get something suitable to wear." Harri said after eyeing his stripped prisoner robes she had transfigured and the thin robes she had in the bathroom. Sirius nodded at her already regretting his decision to go to his house. But he felt warm inside at hearing her call his house a home, so he supposed it couldn't be that bad.

It turns out, that it was very bad to come back to the house indeed. The decrepit and gloomy house made him want to fall and crawl to his room and hide in there like he used to when he lived with his mother dearest.

Harri noticed that Sirius looked like he was about to have a panic attack, so she took his big hand in hers and gave him a tight squeeze. Sirius smiled at her in appreciation and continued onto the front porch and made to open the door.

Harri noticed that Sirius wasn't comfortable being there, but she needed Slytherin's locket. They will be in and out of there as soon as she's gotten what she needs.

Sirius opened the door and entered the house with Harri following behind them. The house was dirtier and far more sinister than what she remembered. Everything in that house reeked of Dark magic, mildew, and mold. Harri took out her wand and then noticed that Sirius didn't have his wand and she cursed herself for not remembering that he needed a wand.

A 'pop' was heard close bye and Harri immediately had her wand pointed to where she heard the noise coming from. Harri didn't lower it when she saw it was only Kreacher who gave her a menacing smirk.

"Your house elf, Sirius?" Harri asked, who already knew that Kreacher had served his family since before he was born.

"Disgraceful Master has come home with a filthy half-blood" Kreacher glared at Sirius.

"Shut it, you useless beast!" Sirius sneered at Kreacher a bit too loudly, causing the portrait of Walburga Black to wake up. The curtains of Walburga's portrait slid open, and she glared at Sirius and began to yell at him,

"USELESS BLOODTRAITOR! YOU DARE COME BACK TO THE HOUSE OF MY FOREFATHERS AND SULLY IT WITH YOUR PRESENCE!" Sirius winced at the volume of her voice and Harri who stood behind him, walked up to stand in front of Sirius and shield him away from his mother. Walburga noticed the bold young girl and became even more incense.

"WHO IS THIS SIRIUS!" Before Sirius could say anything Harri jutted out her chin and looked down at Walburga with a sneer on her face,

"Grandmother." Harri stated coldly. Sirius and Walburga have never looked more alike then in that moment, both mother and son had a stunned expression on their faces, and both of their grey sliver eyes were comically wide. Until Sirius cracked a smile and gave Harri a proud look, finally relaxing his stance.

"I can't say I'm impressed with this townhouse; I expected more out of the Black family to be honest with you." Harri sneered down at Walburga with a practiced ease.

"HOW DARE YOU!" Walburga spat out.

"Rather easily I'll say. Do you honestly expect me to believe that this house was once an ancient house to the Black family?" Harri sniffed delicately.

Walburga stayed quiet for a while eyeing Harri up and down judging her worth.

"What house are you in girl?" Harri stared at her nails and pretended to be disinterested in the conversation.

"The sorting hat didn't even touch my hair before it put me in Slytherin." Harri continued in her bored tone.

Walburga had a thin cruel smile on her lips and took delight in seeing Sirius' stoic expression.

"It seems that superior breeding will always win out" Walburga gloated. "Even if you are a half-blood." She said as an aftermath.

Harri shrugged, "that doesn't stop me from wiping the floor with my pureblooded classmates. So much inbreeding, all for me to be leagues ahead of Malfoy, Parkinson, Bulstrode, Greengrass, Crabbe, and Goyle" Harri didn't feel bad that she was from the future and was competing against children, she still knew that she was superior to them.

Walburga looked delighted to hear that and cackled in delight. "Of course, we're better than those families!"

"Father and I were even talking about killing a muggle family and performing a ritual soon" Harri added as a side note to get Walburga on her side. Walburga looked shocked at that, and her head whipped over and looked at Sirius who had an amused expression on his face when he realized what Harri was doing.

"She is correct Mother, but I did tell her that she is far too young and that we should wait until a couple of more years." Harri gave Sirius a charming smile and flipped her hair behind her shoulder.

"Only because he has to keep a low profile for a couple of years." Harri retorted.

Walburga looked gleeful at hearing that her disappointment of a son was turning out to be a good man after settling into fatherhood.

"Very well done Sirius, I didn't think you had it in you. Teaching my granddaughter important life lessons. Take as long as you need in the house of my forefathers." Walburga nodded at them. Harri nodded at her in thanks and took Sirius's hand in hers and let him lead them away from the parlor and walked away with Kreacher following behind them.

Both godfather and goddaughter walked to the kitchen and Harri naturally ordered Kreature,

"Go and pack all of Sirius's clothes and belongings in an unused trunk." Kreature nodded eagerly at his new mistress. Harri scourgified two seats and they both sat down on two highchairs.

Sirius looked surprised at the attitude of his goddaughter.

"Harri, you're really good at acting the Slytherin" Sirius spoke out, not realizing that Harri was a Slytherin. Harri turned to look at him warily. She was a bit afraid that he would reject her. Sirius immediately noticed her change in demeanor and retracted his words.

"Not that I would think anything less of you if you were Harri!" Sirius would be sad if she wasn't in Gryffindor like her parents and him, but he had decided that she was still his little prongslet regardless of what House she got into.

Harri let out a breath of air; she already knew that he was trying to comfort her.

"It's okay Sirius. I expected to be put into Gryffindor as well as everyone else, but it didn't even sort me correctly and I got put into Slytherin." Harri shrugged and continued to talk,

"I think you would have been proud of my response though" Harri gave him a wry smile.

"Why did you do?" Sirius asked still whirling the idea of Harri in Slytherin in his head.

"I made quite a spectacle and cursed the sorting hat" Harri giggled at that and remembered everything in detail.

Sirius chuckled at that. He tried and failed to imagine Harri cursing the sorting hat. It was hard to imagine Harri cursing the hat when she looked just like innocent Lily Evans.

"I slithered myself out of trouble though" Harri smirked at her pun.

Sirius laughed at her terrible pun and just ruffled her hair.

"Hey! Hey! Watch the goods here!" Harri said good naturally and fixed her hair. Sirius looked shocked and snickered,

"you're more like James than your mother" Sirius smiled nostalgically. Harri shrugged and smirked.

"I have to always look my best, I never know when I'm going to meet the love of my life" Sirius rolled his eyes instinctively at that, having heard many variations of it one too many times.

"you're too young to be meeting wizards, young lady." Harri smirked at Sirius and shot back at him.

"My mother's diary said that she met dad when they were both in first year." Sirius stared back at her and sighed,

"Well, you got me there" he grinned and continued, "your father would actually always say, 'I have to look my best, you never know when my Lily-flower might look my way' and we would all tell him he was delusional" Sirius chuckled at that memory. Harri smiled at the new information as she didn't get to hear this story last time.

"Well, I'm different then my dad, my good looks ought to make any wizard fall for me without me trying" Harri sniffed prettily. Sirius burst out laughing and settled down when he flinched.

"Now you sound just like me." Sirius smiled at her fondly. Harri smirked at him and as she was about to comment when Kreature popped in with two large trunks.

"The luggage is ready for Nasty master" Kreature sneered. Harri sighed at that, seems like old habits die hard. Sirius sneered at Kreature but not wanting to scare Harri, he didn't say anything and just ignored him.

"Do mind if I go to the loo?" Harri asked Sirius, suddenly realizing that her time was running out, and wanting an excuse so that she could go find the locket.

"Yeah, of course not. It's down the hall, the first door to the right, just don't open any doors Harri. It's dangerous here, you never know what might have festered in here." Harri nodded at him and made her escape. Harri ignored her gloomy and sinister surrounding and concentrated on the feeling of the other horcrux with hers. Harri reached out with her horcrux and felt the loneliness of the other horcrux and followed the feeling to a tall and looming cabinet. Harri opened the cabinet carefully with her wand and then took the locket with her bare hands. She ignored the impulse to put on the locket and put in her pouch. She closed the cabinet door and after she waited another minute to make her lie believable, she walked back to the kitchen and saw Sirius and Kreature trading nasty remarks.
