Darkness… I am floating in darkness. My limbs are paralyzed. I can't even move? Well… I guess that's a perk of dying isn't it?

Jayce

That's… that's my name right? Jayce… why am I hearing my name? No one's supposed to know my name.

You have to fight and open your eyes.

"What's the point? I'm dying aren't I? Just let me be."

No. I refuse to let you leave this world without knowing your purpose.

"Ah.. So you're the one who is responsible for my misery. Well, good luck coz I would rather float around in whatever this place is rather than go back to that world where I don't belong."

The voice didn't answer back. Finally. I could sleep.

I brought you upon this world for a reason.

"Yeah? What is it? To be the mighty Dragonborn? Dude, I am just a teen. Barely living my life back at my own world and you want me to be that guy? I'm broken and yet you still chose me and funny thing about that is you pushed this responsibility to me."

Vilkas didn't know what to do. When the scent of Sizaan's blood hit his nose, he knew he has to hurry. Three vampires ambushed him and pushed him deep into the forest. He could take them all. He thought he could till the unfamiliar stench of the vampires made him grew suspicious. These vampires are not those typical ones that resides inside a cave. These are more powerful. More ancient.

"It seems she allied with a dog, my brothers." Vilkas withdraw his sword as the vampires move around him. He didn't bother with the pet name. What bothered him is what the other said.

"Take her. Make sure she doesn't escape this time." This time? Vilkas thought. This may be the vampires that attacked her when he first saw her. When one planned to run towards the girls direction, he swing his sword and it hit its back. The other two immediately casted a "Drain spell" on him. This is what he hated when dealing with vampires. They feed on life. They are without honor. He cannot run after the other but he still has his voice. He called the girls name in hope that she will hear.

"Surrender her to us dog. This is not your fight to begin with." The other hissed. Vilkas blocked his knife aimed at his head.

"Why do you seek her so bad? She is just a girl." He swung his sword and luckily hit others chest. The vampire dropped on the ground, gasping for air.

"Lord Harkon desires her from the beginning." The last one, he thinks, was hoping he could be spared from Vilkas. Too bad. Vilkas is not a friend of any vampires.

"Who are you anyways?"

You know me

"Nice. A Daedra or an Aedra? Oh wait, you must be Akatosh since YOU brought me here to become the Dragonborn."

Why do you despise to be one when you are in your world, a Dragonborn?

"Because It's not real for a Pete's sake! Is that why you put me here?! Because I play as a Dragonborn? Why not the others huh?! Why me?!"

You play by heart when it is not necessary. You treated us like we are alive when we are merely just a product of your mind. Your decisions is always for the greater good when you can choose to be worse.

"… but why me? There are others who is like me. Why me?"

Because I know you are worth the risk.

"If I do this… Can I go home?"

….

"Akatosh?"

It's time to wake up

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

This is probably the worst moment of my entire life. I thought going to school was the worst but I take it back. Everything aches like crazy. I would rather die now than suffer this misfortune. What happened though? Groaning, I slowly opened my eyes earning me a bright blinding light making me close them again.

"She's waking up! Call Vilkas!" Wow lady. Couldn't you get anymore louder? Lifting my arm and resting it on top of my eyes provided a shield from the light. Taking my time, I tried to remember Akatosh. Wait. Did I ever saw him? Was it just my imagination?

"You're awake! I thought the gods has taken you!" I was supposed to be taken but I guess Akatosh wouldn't want to waste someone like me.

"Couldn't you get more louder Vilkas? I think my ears still works." I grumbled as I brought my arm shielding my eyes down. The light doesn't hurt that much anymore. Looking at my side, I saw the man that saved my life once again. He is standing there as usual with arms crossed across his chest.

"You owe me your life and yet…" I couldn't help but grin gave him a grin. He's like a child.

"Yeah yeah… Thank you." Using my elbows, I slowly pushed myself up. There was a slight pain crawling in my arms. Who would have thought vampires are like bitches with long nails. Looking at my latest wound, I see linen cloth wrapped both of my arms. The priestess gently assisted me in a sitting position.

"Be still my child." The priestess said as she held my right arm to remove the linen. When the cloth fell on the ground, she hummed.

"You are healing well my friend. You no longer need to spend the night here." She stood and walked away, presumably going to get another clean set of linen cloth. Looking down at my arm, it's in an inflammation stage. Trying to check the damage, I rotated my wrist. It was painful. My wounds would probably either a stage 2 or 3 wherein it is near the bone already. Usually these type of wounds depending on the body takes weeks. Probably a month but I am here in Skyrim so I guess the healing spell or healing potion could help in accelerating the process.

"Scars are stories of adventures. Do not be ashamed of it." Similar to a tattoo then. The priestess came back and placed the clean linen cloth. After securing it with a thin strand of rope, she looks at her work and nod to herself. Looking down at my arm I immediately liked this priestess. Her bandaging skills is much preferable than the one back at the Stormcloak camp.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I have other responsibilities to attend to."

"Remind me again Vilkas…" I know where we are. I am perfectly aware.

"Why are we here?" Vilkas didn't verbally answered the question. He gently grabbed my hand and led me inside Jorvvaskr, the Hall of the Companions. When the door opened, I heard shouts of cheering. There was a crowd at the right side of the hall surrounding two brawlers, Njada Stonearm and Athis. Vilkas didn't stop. He continued the other way where as far I remember, where Kodlak is. Putting weight on my feet, I gently tugged my hand. This time, Vilkas stopped and looked at me. I shook my head and placed my free hand on top of his to pry it.

"What are we doing here?" My tone wasn't supposed to sound so fearful but this soften his features. He gently pat my hand and say…

"Remember what I told you before?"

"You could come with me." I stopped on my tracks and waited for him to do the same. Clearing his throat, he stood in front of me with his arms crossed. His eyes averted mine.

"You could come with me while you wait for fate to lay down your path." He repeated

"I told you that you could come with me while you wait for fate to lay down your path and it seems it already did." He gave me a short smile and continued dragging me towards Kodlak. As we venture down the hall, I let myself be lost in my own thoughts.

No matter what I do it all goes back to the same sequence of the game. Whiterun is the start of everything. Even though I have done everything I could to avoid coming here. To avoid getting Kodlak killed in the end. It's all written. Is that I haven't died? Is Akatosh doing what he does because of a program? My head is started to ache with this.

Lost in thought, I didn't noticed that we are now standing in front of Kodlak Whitemane himself. He… definitely looks old.

"How are you my child?"
