Thank God Kiss AU Gabriel is actually a good lad and would kick canon Gabe so hard in the nuts he can never fuck his wife ever again.

And I know it but don't realize
My mind keeps on playing those games, come and set me free
But don't you come back and see"

'Volpina/Lila?'
~(x)~

.
.
Unlike her canon counterpart who likes to bask in immediate extravagance and constant praise from her peers, in this universe, Lila is a lot more cautious, super cunning and quite manipulative. That's not to say that her goal isn't the same as her counterpart's; which is complete control and getting everything she wants or desires.
She also has a huge perverted thirst for absolute chaos and drama stirring- anything that could excite her in the most repulsive manner possible.
When she first arrives at le collège, she plasters on a sweetly shy and timid persona, immediately winning the hearts of almost everyone in the class with charm and innocence. They practically adopt her right away from then on, unaware that they've invited a wolf in sheep's clothing within their midst.
"You're so pretty, Lila! I love your hair- it's so nice and long!"
"Awww, thank you, Rose! Mamma always made me take good care of it- I used to be so fussy about it as a child but I'm glad that I listened towards the end,"
"You're from Italy? What is it like there? How are you finding France?"
"Oh, no words can describe how wonderful Italy is. You would love it, Mylène. I already miss my bellos and bellas back home..."
"Aw, Lila..."
Her lies are very subtle and white that you can't really tell that they are lies. She does this by either masking the lies with some truth or pretending to have had said them to herself, only to fake a surprise when she 'realised' that everyone else has heard her.
"Oh my...She made it this far...? My Clara...?"
"Lila...you know Clara Nightingale?!"
"Holy shit, Lila!?"
"Is that true, Lila!?"
She's quick to butter up everyone, complimenting them on their achievements in order to gain their trust with that saccharine tone of hers (she's done thorough research on them all- especially since pretty much everyone in the class has links to famous people). On the other hand, Alya is the only person to feel that something is quite off about Lila.
She can't quite put her finger on it.
Her journalistic senses were tingling and not in a good way.
She had to keep an eye on her.
Marinette couldn't focus on Lila, much to Alya's dismay simply because she and Adrien were too busy fretting about the book the model found from his father's safe. The latter was so much more distraught than the former considering that Gabriel was potentially the one who has been terrorising Paris all this time.
"Mon Chaton, calme-toi...We don't know yet for sure if your père really is Le Papillon. Maybe I'm wrong- maybe I jumped to conclusions or something-"
"My Lady, no. We can't just rule out your theory just because he's my father. When has your gut instinct ever failed you? Never. And what kind of a person keeps such an important Grimoire hidden away in a safe that they haven't even told their own son of?"
"...I...I don't even know what to do...or even say. Never in a million years have I ever imagined the situation we're in right now."
"It's okay, Bug. Really. We should just listen to Tikki and Plagg and take the book to Maître Fu right away."
"Adrien..."
"I have you with me, Marinette. I'm not afraid. And even if it turns out that père is Le Papillon, the best-case scenario is that we can reason with him to hand over his miraculous and end this fight once and for all."
"I don't tell you this enough but I hope you know how much of a brave person you are, Adrien. You're probably one of the most bravest people I know,"
"Heh, that's because you're always here, by my side,"
"Adrien..."
"...Hold me...please?"
"You don't even need to ask,"
Deaf to the duo's conversation and full of curiosity, Lila steals the book when they weren't looking. She wanted to get closer to them because not only did they seem really popular and well-loved in the school, they also had huge connections to celebrities worldwide and had their own major achievements too.
Adrien Agreste?
The child of the globally famous fashion designer Gabriel Agreste and the even more famous, worldwide superstar actress Emilie Graham de Vanily. Once a power couple that rocked the world with their brightness until the beautiful woman's tragic disappearance changed the family's life forever.
The blond boy was an international model, his face unmissable considering the number of billboards it's plastered on and he was the proclaimed hottest teen in Europe according to all the magazine ratings and rabid fan clubs. Not to mention that he's a talented fencer, awarded with many medals and trophies and just as incredibly accomplished on the piano. He was a boy of such high intelligence and profile.
A perfect boyfriend material for lil' ol' Rossi.
And Marinette Dupain-Cheng?
The child of the best bakers of France, Sabine Cheng and Tom Dupain, where people all around the world practically zooms to just for a taste of their delicious concoctions; said delectable recipes an amalgamation of European cuisine and East Asian cuisine. Her eccentric grandmother, Gina Dupain, was quite popular too in Italy with her travel vlogs and daredevil adventures! And her great-uncle, Wang Cheng, was a world-renowned chef, currently the holder of eighteen Michelin stars and have collaborated with the likes of Gordon Ramsey, Chan Yan-Tak and even Alaine Ducasse.
As for the girl herself; not only was she an aspiring designer and engineer with a talent that has made professionals froth with her designs at Gabriel's contest and the glasses she created for the Jagged Stone, she was just as gifted with the food she creates and just so exceptionally smart. Not to mention that she's the class president, equipped with brilliant leadership skills, confidence, resilience and just so endearingly clumsy. She was so pretty and good looking too.
A perfect girlfriend material for cute ol' Rossi as well.
Either of the two would bring her into a world of fame, glory and luxury if she played her cards right. And she had plenty of them up her sleeves. She could almost taste the desired future she's imagining.
However, the only obstacle was that the duo was clearly smitten and very, disgustingly in love with each other so trying to score either of them for herself was like trying to make pigs fly.
Maybe she could date them both?
Much to her dismay, Lila gets caught by both Adrien and Marinette quick time. She only managed to skim through a few pages, unable to understand what she was trying to read. She felt utter dread from the look of their fuming faces.
The two heroes got really angry at her, both already stressed and strung up tight from the revelations they pieced together. The Italian tried to fib her way out of this, saying that she's a descendant of the owner of the Fox Miraculous. She noticed that their faces dimmed the minute she tried to downplay Ladybug's abilities in order to make Volpina look better.
The heroes give her a tired, disappointed look, taking the book back, commenting about how lying and thieving isn't the right way to make friends. Adrien's glare was a lot darker compared to Marinette's and for the first time, Lila felt intimidated.
"You could have come up to us and talked, Lila. We wouldn't have yelled or anything- stealing our belongings on the other hand? That's not right at all! And lying about being a miraculous holder? Do you know how dangerous that is?"
"I-I-I know- I'm sorry, Marinette- I did something stupid and I really meant no harm- I swear I was going to give it back-"
"Why should we believe you after you just lied?"
"A-Adrien! I'm not lying- I swear- I'm so, so sorry!"
Lila runs off despite them calling her back to make amends, embarrassment filling her up from head to toe for trying to deceive the two most influential people her age. Adrien and Marinette feel really guilty about the way they cornered Lila, regret gnawing on them.
"Adrien...did we just make someone cry...?"
"Yes, Marinette. Yes, we did."
"In our defence, she stole from us and lied about being a heroine. A better one than Ladybug? Hmph! Maybe she can go save Paris instead!"
"You seem saltier about her dissing your alter-ego than her stealing the grimoire."
"I just don't like liars, especially people who lie about me."
"Haha...either way, we need to apologise to her for snapping."
"Do we have to...?"
"Oui, ma princesse~ Come on, don't be stubborn."
"Fi-iiiiiiine..."
Rossi gets akumatised as Volpina, claiming that she's the new heroine in the city and that she'll defeat Le Papillon. She creates illusions of meteors falling down and her pummeling them away and she conjures mirages of armed thieves trying to rob banks only to make a show of herself fighting them away.
By the time she generated a figment of Le Papillon, the image hopping away on the buildings, Ladybug and Chat Noir arrive at the scene, playing along with the fraud heroine just to find her strengths and weaknesses, no matter how much the fox backhandedly insulted them and bigged herself up. Volpina also attempts to be flirtatious with Ladybug which bristles Chat Noir up in the worst ways possible.
"Excellent idea! As expected of the smartest, sexiest heroine out there, Ladybug-"
"Oi, oi, oi- don't you go touching my wife."
"Oho? Calm down, gattino~ It's just a little harmless compliment-"
"Don't. Touch. Her."
"Okay, okay! Sheesh, men. I'm sorry that he's your husband, My Lady-"
"UGH!"
Things go similar to canon, with the duo breaking the ruse and then the fight breaks out until Volpina is dangling...
Both Adrien and Marinette from the top of the tower.
Ladybug and Chat turn to face each other, stare blankly, only to just burst out laughing in response like drunk hyenas, crying out dramatics like:
"Oh! What ever shall we do~? Those poor civilians!"
"Villainy 101! How can we get out of this situation, My Lady?"
"Are we going to witness the demise of Paris' very own heartthrob and his adorable classmate?"
"What a tragedy! I heard that he was planning to ask her out on a date for a very long time! And now they're going to become human pancakes together? Not even Shakespeare could top this~~~!"
They finally defeat Volpina, taking advantage of her dumbstruckness from their verbal stunt before unleashing the miraculous cure and saving Paris anew. The duo talks to Lila and in order to cheer her up, hoping that she would try to be honest from now on. They don't think twice about her sweet, saccharine agreements to their requests, running off before their transformation let up.
Since that day, Lila Rossi vowed to get revenge on Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste...
She'll be back...
