I don't own Fire Emblem, just Rane and Dew. Not much else to say.

Rane sighed quietly to herself as she dug her toes into the sand at the bottom of the little stream. She lifted her foot up and shook the sand off of it. She sighed again and lifted her head to look around her. The whole camp was filled with a feeling of love. Rane heard a giggle and spotted Kent and Lyn sitting under a big tree talking quietly to each other. A little ways away, Guy and Priscilla were walking along hand in hand. Serra was sitting in a rare moment of silence beside Erk and watching him read a book. Florina blushed as Sain handed her a bouquet of roses and began to flirt with her. Canas had been in his tent all afternoon writing a letter to his wife. Raven and Rebecca were off somewhere, and Louise and Pent had left the camp entirely. They had said something about being in town at some fancy dinner place if Rane needed them. Even Nils and Dew were together talking about who knows what. Rane sighed heavily and looked back down at her feet and began swinging them underneath the water. Valentines Day had once again found her all alone. Before, while she was still at home, she would have just sat around house and gone on with her day as usual, but here, it seemed like everyone had someone to spend the holiday with. She almost wished that some bandits would attack just so that people would pay attention to her again, then she would scold herself for being so selfish. She stopped moving her feat and stared boredly ahead before flopping down onto her back and closing her eyes, her feat still in the stream. A shadow suddenly fell over her eyes.

"Pardon me, do you mind if I sit down?" Rane opened her eyes to find Eliwood standing against the glaring sun.

"Go ahead," she said sitting up again. Eliwood did so.

"You look pretty lonely over here all by yourself," Eliwood commented. Rane just stared blankly at the water. "I brought you a flower. It reminded me of you." He held up a beautiful light blue and silver flower like none that Rane had ever seen before. "It matches the color of your hair," he added gesturing to one of the silver petals. Rane accepted it with a smile.

"Thanks Eliwood. It's beautiful." Her smile suddenly faded a little. "Eliwood," she said looking down, her nose wrinkled slightly. "I really don't need your sympathy." Rane could feel his eyes on her.

"Good," he said Rane could hear a smile in his voice. He brushed her hair behind her ear and gave her a gentle kiss. "I wasn't offering any."

Please review, I want to know if it was any good. thanks.
