Episode 35 – The Forger Family

Yeah, this one doesn't start at the bar this time, but outside it. Here I was, signing for a delivery when it comes out in the front when I'm nearly tackled by someone's dog. Given that I'm a big guy…doesn't knock me over.

I noticed the collar right away, only then to be approached by a family. Mother, father, and a little girl who had to be adopted.

"Excuse me, maybe you might be able to help us." The father said.

A real pretty boy type. Wife was also a knockout. But something about them was really familiar…but I digress. From what I could sense, they weren't warpers…and they were looking all really lost. Took me half a second, but I recognized them.

"That depends on what that something is, Mr. Forger." I said nonchalantly as he looked surprised.

I could tell Anya was trying to read my mind. Obviously, she was not going to be able to, but I had an idea on how to mess with her.

"If I was you, I wouldn't exactly be trying to pry my mind."

I telepathically told her that and she squeaked.

"How did you know…"

I simply remarked that they were not in their 'universe' anymore and asked how they got there. What they told me…was something straight out of the Twilight Zone. I let them into the bar…and it was a slow night.

"Welcome to the Tori Dragon Palace, the seven-star restaurant and bar. The place at the end of the universe…"

I showed them to the bar and called for Dawn, my junior. I asked her where my wife was, and she told me over at Conton City getting a checkup. I filled Dawn in on the situation and she went off to make some calls.

"Don't mind my assistant. How about a drink to top off your wait?"

"Something light…I still have to drive after all." Loud joked as I chuckled.

I get some apple cider, tequila, triple sec, and some lime juice to make two apple cider margaritas for the couple and give Anya just a glass of peanut punch with snacks.

"Don't worry about the bill. Drink's on the house." I remarked. "Dawn's making some calls to see if we get you some help to get back."

While I'm attempting small talk, Loid cuts right to the chase. He wants to know how I knew his name. I sigh, I know he's not going to let it go.

"You sure can handle what I'll tell you?" I asked. "You, your wife, and your daughter aren't going to leave the same."

Yor actually seems to try to dissuade him, but he's adamant.

"Hey, I found out what happened. Apparently, there was some distortion made by some fledging Time Patroller. Someone's on their way here to fix it and get them home." Dawn said casually. "Is something wrong?"

I shake my head.

"No, it's just Loid wanting to know how I know he's Agent Twilight or how Yor is Thorn Princess…or how Anya already knows you both are this or the girl and the dog having superpowers." I said.

Jaws on the table. I took a picture because it was priceless.

"Or maybe that the two clearly have feelings for each other and just need to know that, or the twist about-

Dawn stopped me citing she did not want me to spoil it for her.

"So this means I can get a little sibling?" Anya asked.

They fainted. Big bad spy and assassin were now a heap on the floor. Eventually, one of my Patroller buddies came to deal with them. I actually had an idea for a bit of revenge. I had them put in the car and sent back to their universe. They'll probably wake up thinking they had a dream…until Anya basically tells them otherwise. Ha! Let the happy couple deal with that mess.

You see a lot of strange things as a bartender, see a lot of strange things at the Tori Dragon. So, I see a lot of strange things as a bartender at the Tori Dragon, and that isn't no lie. Swear to it!

(A/N: And just like that, I've left an idea for an interesting Spy X Family story of them having to deal with that. Also once again, I forgot that I wrote the prior chapter and left this one half-finished. Originally, there was going to be another Sakura episode but then Akin2018 informed me about Ash becoming the Crowned Champion. So I decided to do that, scrap the Sakura episode, and eventually do this series for the next entry. As for who's next, I'm thinking…something a bit cyberpunk.)
