Disclaimer: I do not, in any way, own Harry Potter and all things relating to it.

Harry felt scared and trapped, similar to the time that the Dursleys locked him in his cupboard after he accidentally dropped Dudley's piece of cake on his fourth birthday party. He can still remember the loud screeching and angry hands. But this time, it was even more frightening because he knew what to expect from his family and cupboard, but not from a 10 feet long snake (he later found out that he was an Inland Taipan).

"Oooh, look what I have here. Did Mummy and Daddy not want you anymore? Oh, that's all right 'cause this hungry snake certainly does. You are so young and juicy, I think I'll almost feel guilty for eating you." The snake stopped talking and slithered closer, tongue in the air as if savoring the sweet smell.

"Um…Mr. Snake, please, I am only a little lost. If you can just tell me where the policemen are, then I'll be on my way. Plus, you don't really want to eat me because the Dursleys said that I am a freak and freaks are very bad. You might get a stomachache." Harry said the last part very confidently; he had always been teased that he was a freak, but now, it certainly came into handy. Still, Harry felt a little odd trying to talk to a snake, especially one that wants to eat him alive. However, this snake does talk English, and he might be able to help him.

The snake was shocked; if he could, his jaws would have dropped from his amazement. He hasn't met another parseltongue since The Dark Lord was vanquished. 'I must tell this to Master.'

"How are you able to speak the noble language of Salazar Slytherin?"

"What? Who?" The six year old had on an adorably confused face.

How can he not know? Parseltongue is only portrayed in the Slytherin family; he can't be a parseltongue if he's a mudblood!

"Never mind, just follow me, my master will certainly welcome you."

"You don't have to, Mr. Snake, I wouldn't want to bother you and your master. If you show me the way out, I can ask the policemen to get me back to the house."

"Don't be stupid, do you know where you are?"

"Um…no?"

"This land belongs to a wizard, without his permission no one can enter or leave his land."

"Wizard?" Harry was bewildered. His uncle told him there were no such things as magic, but yet, a talking snake was telling him there are wizards.

"I'll explain once you meet my master. And you must be hungry, we'll get you some food and then find your parents, okay?" He was getting tired of the nice snake act, but he didn't want to frighten away the boy before his master gets a chance to meet him. Sometimes his fearsome appearance works against his favor. He has to put more effort into appear harmless to the kid.

"That's okay, I am not hungry, yet. But if I don't get back before five, the Dudsleys will be very mad at me, and then they'll lock me up in my cupboard for at least a week so I have to leave now."

"Even if you are not hungry, I am. So you will come with me to the mansion, and I'll get my lunch, you understand!" Okay, maybe patience wasn't his forte, but this seem to have more of an effect on the kid, and he showed his agreement by muttering a quick 'yes, Mr. snake."

"Then, let's go! I am already late for my meal. Master will be worry if I am not back soon."

The snake led Harry through the huge forest until they arrived at the end of it where there was a huge Victorian mansion standing in all its grandeur.

"Welcome to…"

Sorry for the cliffhanger, but it should be quite obvious whose mansion this is.
