Melanie's Point of View-

I climbed out of the car looking over the parking lot at all the different cars that were in the same parking lot. Then I looked over at all the different buildings that were in front of us.

"This is really on a college campus, huh?" I asked as I leant against the end of the car as Corey was pulling out his bag.

"Yep, I told you that it wasn't much." Corey stated as I smirked.

"That you did." I said as he shut the trunk with his one hand as he reached out with his other for my hand. I stared at his hand then looked up at him as I bit at my bottom lip as I grasped the hand. I wasn't sure if I wanted to hold it or if I should even let this happen. I walked beside Corey holding his hand as the other three were walking behind us, I was observing our surroundings as Corey led us to the building we would be for the night seeing fans already lining the building near where we entered calling his name. I glanced to him as I scooted closer to his embrace unsure how to feel about these things, I was quite uncomfortable hearing these people calling for my boyfriend but what else would I expect? They all wanted to meet him, he was a celebrity of sorts so wouldn't I be doing the same thing if I was a fan of someone and wanted to meet them?

"You okay baby?" Corey whispered as he broke his grip on my hand slipping it around me pulling me closer to his embrace as I snuggled into his body.

"Is it unsettling having those people calling your name or trying to get your attention?" I asked as I looked up at him as he reached out grabbing the door handle pulling it open.

"Yes and no, that isn't the worse of it…" Corey said as I looked back at the fans then back ahead of us as he let me go into the building first as he held the door open for the other three people in our party before he stepped into the building letting the door shut behind him as he walked past us to lead us through the building. This was where he worked, this was where he spent his weekends and where he does his wrestling thing. "Wait here, I'll be right back." Corey said as he headed into a room, I looked over at Kevin and Anita who were entertaining Jack as he was overly excited about the show. I couldn't help but to smile about how excited Jack got about this show and seeing it live, he really looked up to Corey and loved that he knew Corey because of his status. Corey reappeared from the same room now without his bag in tow that must have been the locker room for the male talent. "Let me go get your passes and tickets." He said as he reached out gripping my hand as he led us to an office.

"You need your four passes?" The male behind the desk asked.

"Yep." Corey said as he stepped behind me wrapping his arms around my waist as the male began to search through other passes finding our four handing them over to Corey who handed them out to us. Corey led us out to the auditorium area where the ring and stage were already set up, we walked out beside the stage as I looked around me observing my surroundings again as I spun around in a circle taking it all in. I was sort of in awe of how much it did look like what it was on the computer and that this was where he worked. "You want to get into the ring?" He asked in a whisper as I looked over my shoulder at him as my hand slowly slid across the cold metal of the ramp.

"Why would I?" I asked curiously as he shrugged.

"Jack, you want to get into the ring?" Corey asked Jack's face lit up as he jumped in excitement.

"May I? May I?" Jack asked excitedly.

"If that is okay with your parents." Corey said as Jack looked to Kevin and Anita.

"It won't be anything new, go ahead." Kevin said as Jack jumped more in excitement as Corey picked up the boy throwing him over his shoulder as Jack just laughed and wiggled as Corey carried him to the ring. Corey finally set Jack down on the apron of the ring considering there was no stairs for Jack to climb up. Jack was able to slide between the ropes to get into the ring and Corey climbed into the ring like normal other than the wacky way he usually does during show time. Jack ran around the ring and Corey tried to chase him as Jack just laughed. Corey pretended to collapse onto the floor and be out of breath. "Pin him Jack, he's down for the count!" Kevin said as Jack ran as fast as he could over to where Corey laid and Jack climbed on top of him to pin him as Kevin smacked at the apron twice before Corey picked Jack up.

"I'm not out yet, you think you can beat me little boy?" Corey asked as Jack giggled as Corey just went to town on tickling him as Corey got to his feet pulling Jack up. Corey picked Jack up tossing him in the air before catching him again, but the giggles were escaping Jack's mouth like he wasn't afraid that Corey would drop him or even hurt him.

"Are you sure you don't want to get in? It might help you relax." Anita said as she stepped beside me as she leant against the apron.

"I don't know if I want to get in there with him, what if he hurts me?" I asked as I looked over at her as she burst into laughter.

"Corey? Hurt you? Ha! Good one, he can't even hurt Jack much less lay a finger on you. He won't mess with you but getting into the ring might give you a sense of what it feels like to be in the ring and what he feels every night when he performs." Anita said as I let out a sigh knowing she was right. I began to question how I was to get onto the apron as I turned around lifting myself up with my arms strength to sit on the apron turning pulling my feet to rest on the apron beside me.

"You actually decided to get in?" Corey asked as he walked over with Jack on his shoulders.

"She can be on my team." Jack said as he ran his hands through the short hair that Corey had. I got to my feet standing face to face with Corey but the ropes was separating the two of us. Corey picked Jack up and pulling him off from sitting on his shoulders setting him down to stand beside him in the ring. Corey stepped on the bottom rope and gripped at the middle one pulling it up to hold it open for me as I smiled slightly as I slid between the two ropes that he opened for me to stand inside the squared circle. I looked around the arena that surrounded this ring taking it all in, I couldn't imagine how this felt when everyone was in their seats cheering or booing or just plain out screaming regardless. Jack ran to the edge whispering something to Kevin before Kevin nodded before Jack slid out of the ring and Kevin picked him off the apron to put him onto the ground.

"Hey Corey, are the public restrooms in the concessions open yet?" Kevin asked as Jack's leg was bent sort of like he was holding it in.

"Not yet, but you can use the one in the back." Corey stated as Kevin nodded as he led Jack the way we had just came to use the bathroom. "How does it feel in here?" Corey asked as he brought me out of my zoned out state.

"Weird…I can't imagine the adrenaline you get when these seats are filled." I said as I looked at how many seats were actually filling the place then back to him.

"This is nothing to how big the crowds the main roster gets but it is sort of a boost…"

"Don't you ever get nervous?" I asked as I crossed my arms over my chest as he smirked.

"Every time…even more so tonight with you in the crowd." He said as I blushed.

"What is the ring made of? It seems sturdy but also like it would hurt." I said as I jumped a little as he chuckled.

"There is metal holding the frame, as you can see the turnbuckle posts on the four corners then underneath us is wood going across then a foam mat of sorts between the wood and the blue mat that is tied down with rope to make it stretch and not have any air bubbles then the actual apron things are just like the blue mat, it's Velcro."

"What about the ropes?" I asked grabbing one.

"Steel wire wrapped up really good…" He said as I ran my hand along the rope heading to one of the turnbuckles. "Those are just padding to cover the exposed ends of the wire." Corey said, "Try smacking one." He said as I glanced over at him then I looked back at the turnbuckle giving it a slight smack seeing what he was talking about.

"Why do you put your body through this? All of this has to hurt and take its toll on your body."

"It does hurt and will take its toll on my body when I get older. As to why, I just love it…I am specially trained to make sure it doesn't hurt as much as possible along with seeing medics before and after matches to make sure my body is in its tip top shape. I also go to the gym and see doctors regularly." Corey explained.

"I just don't get enduring this pain, do you like the pain?" I asked, my mind couldn't wrap around this whole pain aspect.

"No, nobody likes pain…it's like getting a tattoo, it may be painful sometimes but it's worth it in the end, isn't it?" He asked as I nodded, "You may not understand the pain or why I do this, but there isn't much I can say to further explain what this is…" He said as I nodded, I ran a hand through my hair because he was right because I couldn't understand the pain or why he would even want to endure it. I am sure this is in part due to the pain I had been through with my life and my ex but I just hoped that this was something different than that.

"Corey, meeting time!" A man that was on the stage yelled, I looked over recognizing the man as Konnor, I couldn't help but to smile.

"Quit fan girling over my co-worker, you're my number one fan girl." Corey said pointing at me, his finger more directed towards my face as I chuckled and smiled.

"I can be a fan girl of more than one person, you already got my heart." I said as he smirked and chuckled.

"Whatever." He said kissing my forehead as he climbed out of the ring jumping off the apron and going up the ramp and onto the stage going the way Konnor had just went as I slid out between the ropes and sat myself down on the apron to get down gently.

"What do we do now?" I asked curiously since Corey was gone and it left just us four.

"We can go look at the concessions, after his meeting he will probably have to start getting ready because doors will open here in like 15 to 30 minutes." Kevin stated as I nodded as we headed out to the concessions seeing them preparing to open up as I headed to the bathroom to use along with Anita before we joined Kevin and Jack again. "What do you want to eat?" Kevin asked.

"Popcorn!" Jack exclaimed as we headed up to the concession being able to buy our drinks and snacks to eat throughout the show before we headed to our seats. We weren't on the floor, well sort of since we were the first row of the risers so we were on the floor since that is where our feet were planted but it was weird because our seat numbers allowed one empty seat next to us made me wonder who had one comped seat beside me. Other fans began to file in filling up rest of the seats and that one seat beside me was still empty, nerves began to sink in as the lights began to lower knowing that the show was about to begin. My leg shook out of nerves, my drink shaking with it as it was resting on my knee and I was lucky that none of it spilt out of the cup but when it did it just landed on my hand. I was more anxious for Corey's match than anything, but watching the other matches were going to get me ready for his match to see him wrestle and to fight. I felt someone plop down beside me getting me to look seeing just that man beside me already in his full ring gear and I couldn't help but to smile but wonder what he was doing out here.

"What are you doing?" I whispered trying not to bring attention to him as he smiled.

"Making sure you weren't already freaking out on me." He said as he wrapped an arm around me, "You seem too quiet, the boy is yelling louder than you."

"I don't want to be a heckler nor do I want to get killed today." I said as he smiled.

"They aren't going to come into the crowd to get you, if they did that you know how many people we would have to go after?" Corey asked with a smile and chuckle when the lights went out completely, "Oh god, here comes your boys." Corey said sarcastically when I smiled as all you saw was that one light on the stage illuminating Konnor and Viktor, I felt his hand slide into mine interlacing our fingers and I gripped his hand tightly as he groaned a little from pain I am presuming. "You that scared of this?" He asked as I let loose a little as I bit at my bottom lip as they made their way to the ring, and they climbed onto the apron to do their entrance. "BBBBOOO! You suck!" Corey yelled loudly as I nudged him.

"Shut up!" I said covering my face with my free hand as I saw the two men looking in our direction.

"BBBBOOOO!" I heard Jack joining along with Corey and even doing the thumbs down.

"You're a bad influence." I said as Corey smiled and laughed.

"It's okay to hate us or to heckle us sometimes." Corey said as he kissed my cheek as he moved his hand to wrap around my shoulders holding me and sat there throughout their match as I jumped, more like flinched during some of the moves. Each time I flinched I felt Corey holding me tighter and trying to sooth me that everything will be okay but it was just a natural reaction. Corey sat out there with me their whole match along with another match before he kissed my temple before he whispered into my ear, "I got to go, my match is next…" He said as I nodded as he kissed my cheek again before he got up sliding out heading back to where he came from. I got even more nervous knowing that he was up next. I edged forward in my seat and moved my soda to the ground so I could rest my elbows on my knees putting my hands over my mouth awaiting this match. His music hit as I looked to the stage seeing the man that was just sitting beside me walking out like nothing onto the stage. I heard the little boy beside me screaming and jumping to his feet in excitement, Corey walked along the ramp to the ring walking up to the ring post wrapping his arm around it leaning against the post looking out around the crowd before his eyes connected with mine when I saw his lips curl up on one side and that he was trying to hold back rest of the smile coming to his face. Corey went over to the steps walking up the couple of the steel steps before walking along the apron before he climbed through the ropes walking over to the ropes right in front of us gripping the top rope doing his whole pose thing to show off the 'Stay Down' tattoo on his fingers before he backed up from the ropes when his opponent's music hit. This match was the match that kept me on the edge of my seat, not that I didn't care about the wellbeing of the other wrestlers and worried about them getting hurt, but this match containing my boyfriend made me sit on pins and needles curious if everything would go smoothly. Jack was screaming and cheering beside me trying to helping Corey get the pin but unfortunately Corey wasn't able to win this match but he seemed to have tweaked his ankle, the ref helped him roll out of the ring as the ref had Corey's arm wrapped around his shoulder helping him walk towards the back.

"Excuse me." I said standing up.

"May I come?" Jack asked as he grasped my hand as I looked to Kevin and Anita as I nodded as I held onto Jack's hand leading him to the backstage area following the walkways trying to find the man. "Corey!" Jack exclaimed as he let go of my hand taking a head start run over to the man that seemed to be walking perfectly fine as Corey squatted down hugging the boy and picking the boy up as he stood up.

"You come back here by yourself?" He asked as I walked closer when Corey looked over seeing me and Corey finally let the smile creep onto his face. "Oh…" Corey said.

"We were both worried." Jack said as Corey looked at the little boy in his grip then looked to me as my hands were locked together resting in front of my body as I bit at my bottom lip.

"I'm fine, I was just acting." He said with a smirk as he poked at Jack's stomach softly before setting the boy down and held his hand before he looked to me. "And as for you, how are you holding up?"

"I was more concerned that you were hurt than anything, have you seen the medic?" I asked as he shook his head no.

"You want to come with?" He asked as I nodded yes as he looked to Jack, "You want to come too Jack?" Corey asked as Jack nodded excitedly as Corey held Jack's hand along with grabbing my hand walking us to the medic office where the medic that was in there looked at Corey's ankle along with other parts of his body just to give him an once over. I rested my hands on Jack's shoulders as we watched the examination and I felt relieved hearing that he came out clear on all the exams. "Feel better?" Corey asked as he stood up grabbing the jean jacket that he was no longer wearing as I smiled and nodded. "It'll get better over time, I promise." He said as I nodded trusting him as he leant in giving me a kiss before he led us out of the office and to the exit out into the concession area.

"You have to hang out back there until end of the show?" I asked as Jack headed back to our seats, I just hoped he made it back safely.

"I might come out and sit with you, if I can sneak out there without being spotted again." He said as I understood that. "I don't see them wanting to leave early either." Corey said as I knew who they were he was referring to as I let out a sigh.

"You can text me, I have no problem coming to keep you company." I stated as he smiled.

"I'm sure you won't." He said with a chuckle, "I should go get out of these clothes and wash up, I smell like sweat and feel so disgusting." He said as I chuckled.

"You even look it sometimes."

"Ouch." He said as he covered his heart in pain as I chuckled and smiled at him.

"Go shower up stinky." I said as he smiled as he leant in giving me a kiss on the lips causing me to smile for a different reason. I stepped a few steps backwards before I turned around walking towards where I sat looking over my shoulder randomly seeing him stand there the first so many steps. He then headed in the opposite direction of myself. I found myself back in my seat, and sipped at my drink tasting how watered down it was from the melting ice before I put it back not wanting anymore of it. I felt more relaxed watching the match, even though I caught myself flinching at a few of the spots but it seemed quite entertaining to say the least. I felt my phone vibrating as I pulled it out of my pocket seeing a text from Corey and smiled as I got up heading back to the back, he was waiting by the entrance for me. "That was quick." I said as he smiled.

"What can I say besides I don't mess around? Come on." He said as he led me to a special spot where you can watch everything that took place in the ring from the backstage area, his arms wrapping around my waist as he stood behind me watching the match that was taking place. "You seemed to have relaxed some." He whispered as he kissed at my neck.

"I have relaxed a lot now that your match is done…" I said honestly as I glanced back at him then back to the ring when I flinched from the sound that was made from inside the ring.

"You say that as you flinch…you'll get used to the sounds and such over time." He explained as I nodded hoping he was right as I stood there wrapped in his embrace for rest of the show. I turned around to face him knowing we had to wait for the other three people in our party to join us. "What do you think of this whole thing? Is it something you are going to be okay with?" Corey asked as he pushed his fingers through my hair. I bit at my bottom lip unsure what I think of this whole thing and if I would be okay with it. I was entertained but I don't know if I can handle always being nervous and anxious about his matches or if he will come home beaten and bruised with a leg in a cast.

"As much as I had fun tonight and entertained I was, I just…I don't know what I think of it or if I will be okay with it knowing that at any given night I can get a call saying you are in the ER with a broken ankle or come home beaten and bruised…" I said honestly as I bit at my bottom lip harder as he nodded.

"But it isn't every night, I promise you that I haven't bruised since my training and the worse injury would be a concussion and as for injuries regarding bones, it won't happen as much as you think." Corey tried to explain.

"You can't promise me that you won't get hurt though, I am just fearful about you getting hurt like the way I did."

"I'm not and I won't…this is a different type of fighting…" Corey explained as I nodded as I let out a sigh, why couldn't I just be with him because he makes me so happy and this is what makes him happy, I can't tell him not to do this because this is what he does for a living.

"I…I still want to be with you Corey but I…I just got to get used to this whole thing, I just don't get the logic behind this wrestling thing…" I said as he nodded and I think we both had to work on ourselves and with each other to get through these things. He needed to understand and work with me on my past and I needed to understand and work with him on this wrestling thing. We were both completely opposite on this but who said a relationship wasn't supposed to be complicated? We were finally joined by Kevin, Anita and Jack who had come from the seats we were given and Corey led us back out to the car. Corey drove us back to his apartment that we would stay in for the weekend. I was tired so I found myself kneeling in front of my suitcase finding a pair of pajamas before heading into the bathroom quickly changing before heading back out to the bedroom area seeing Corey. He was standing at the window looking out of it. "Were you waiting on me?" I asked curiously, it got his attention pulled away from the view in front of him as he glanced to me and let out a sigh.

"Nah, you ready for bed?" He asked as I nodded as he walked over folding back the covers for me as I slid onto the bed under the covers as he pulled them over my body.

"Are you going to lay with me?" I asked curiously as I looked up at him as he smirked.

"Of course…" He said as I smiled, for some odd reason I felt more comfortable if he stayed with me tonight. I felt on edge being in some place new that I've never been and thoughts and fears of my ex finding me here was pulling at me. Corey slid in on the other side and then closer to me. I felt his arms wrap around my body pulling me tight into his embrace as my head rested against the curve of his neck as his two arms were wrapped around my body. I felt safe being this close to him with his strong arms wrapped around me, I closed my eyes snuggling closer to him as I let myself relax enough to fall asleep.
