Hey, it's Prodigy19. Sorry for the long wait. I just started my third year in school and I've been swamped with work. I apologize for anyone who's been waiting so patiently. I'll try to post new chapters as soon as possible. This is currently the latest chapter. Enjoy! :-)

Chapter 4: Blossom vs. Barak

Blossom's P.O.V

My heart was beating so loud, just hoping that this "thing" didn't hear it. Sweat was dripping from my forehead and some was dripping down my back. He had that terrifying, disgusting smile on his face. He walked toward me very slowly. He stopped about 3 feet away from and raised his arms up, putting his hands outwards. What is that demon doing? The next thing I know, purple lightning shot out of his fingertips. I tried to block it, but it was faster than it should've been. "AAGGGGHHHH!" I'm flown a few feet away, crashing into a car across the street. I try to catch my breath and stand up, but I couldn't with the shock still coursing through me.

"Stings, doesn't it Pinky?" He said as rose off the ground and levitated to me.

"What-ngh-what did you do to me?" I spat back to him.

"Oh, you just got a taste of some lightning from Hell," Barak raised his hands and it was radiating off them, "I'm surprised you're still alive, you're stronger than you look. You'll find demonic lightning is twice as fast than normal lightning."

I finally get the strength to stand up, slowly albeit. I decide to strike back, "Apple Pie Shoot!" I hurl my yo-yo as fast as I could at him, and he simply deflects it with his left hand. Damn it! I try again, "Mitsumane Cake Shoot!" He deflects it with his left hand again, flashing his disgusting smile once more. "Shooting Berry Tart! Nata-de-Coco Shoot! Spinning Pudding!" Barak just keeps deflecting my attacks like they're nothing. As he keeps doing it, I notice him closing his right hand into a fist and lightning course through it.

Man, I hate this guy! "Shooting Millefeuille!" I throw my yo-yo at him, and he raises his left arm to block it, it wraps around his arm tightly. I plant my feet and pull! He doesn't even budge, but he cocks his right fist back. I pull again and he STILL doesn't move. His smile grew a little wider and he tugged his left arm toward himself. I yanked like a ragdoll going to him and the next thing I know, he gives me an electric right hook to my face. I'm sent soaring into the air; I feel my cheek bruise and blood coming out of my mouth. God, he hits hard! I try to open my eyes, but my face is singeing from the pain. I'm able to open eye and see him hit me with a double axe handle in my stomach. "AWK!" Blood escapes out my mouth while I'm plummeting into the ground, making a small crater. I open my eyes and my vision is a little...blurry. I'm trying to get up, but it seems as though I don't have the strength to. I look up and see Barak hovering in the air with his arms over his head. I gasped when I saw a large electric, purple energy sphere appear between his arms, purple sparks flying from it. C'mon body, GET THE HELL UP! I thought as he said, "Take THIS!" He threw the electric sphere down towards me. It soared through the air to me. I'm trying to move, Get up! GET up! GET UUUPPPP! but to no avail. The electric sphere was practically in face when I shut my eyes tight.

All I saw was darkness. Waiting in anticipation for his attack to hit. "What the fuck?" I heard him say, "How the hell did you survive?" I opened my eyes to see that I was standing upright on the ground, the crater I was in was larger with smoke coming from it and there was this pink aura around me. My body felt lighter, and I saw my wounds weren't hurting as much. I look up to see Barak still in the air, so I charge toward him faster than I've ever moved before. He put his guard up, but I delivered a vertical right punch to his face. He flew back, doing backflips in the air. I flew behind and kicked him to the left. I chased him down and hit him with a combo of my own: right hook, left hook and axe kick. As he was falling to the ground, I flew down to the ground and kicked him vertically back into the air. I soared after him and shouted, "Girls! Lend me your power!" Shortly after, I see Buttercup's and Bubbles' Energy Ball attacks coming to me. I absorbed them with my yo-yo when he steadied himself in the air. I was about 5 feet away from him when I yelled, "Wedding Cake Blossom Finish!" I launched my yo-yo forward and it expanded to be 4 times the size of him. It split into two parts with electricity in the middle. When it got in-between him, Barak didn't let out a single sound. He just stared at me with his piercing burgundy red eyes. Then, my yo-yo crushed him as the two parts combined back into one, making a big explosion that echoed across the city.

There was silence. No citizens cheering for a job well done, screams of panic either. Just an eerie silence. As the smoke cleared, my yo-yo is still huge. My pink aura was gone and so was the rush of power I felt. When I tried to pull it towards me, it started to shake. Purple lightning seeped from in-between the slit as I saw the pieces being forced apart. "Not bad Pinky," I shivered as I heard his voice, "not bad at all. This is going to be fun!" When he said that, he burst from my yo-yo, shattering it completely. "H-how?! You destroyed my-" I couldn't even finish as he had his left hand around my throat. He then hit me with a right hook that stunned me and threw me into a nearby office building. When I opened my eyes, I was surrounded by people in business suits with concerned looks on their faces. I sat up as I felt sharp pain in my head. I raise my hand and see the problem, there's blood running down the right side of my face.

Next thing I knew, there were screams of terror and people running for the exit. Pushing past others, tripping over chairs and bomb rushing through tables just to get away. Some chose the stairs while the majority waited for the elevator. We were on the 45th floor, why didn't they follow the others? I peered over my left shoulder to see him standing there, about 6 feet away with the creepy sadistic smile on his face. That smile was soon wiped from his face and was replaced with a look of annoyance, as the people who were still there still screamed. "Ugh! Will you fucking humans shut up?!" As he said it, lightning shot from his fingertips toward those who were waiting for the elevator. I tried to get up and block it, but I wasn't fast enough. They screamed in agony and then they just...disintegrated...into nothingness. I... I couldn't save them. I... I wasn't strong enough...wasn't fast enough. Damn it!

"Aaahhh, that's so much better." He walked slowly toward me. I muster the energy and stand, with my back facing him and my head down. I clench my right fist and concentrate every ounce of strength I had into it. When he was close enough, I hit him everything I got! "You! You're a monster, Barak!"

He stops walking and said, "I'm a demon, what did you expect Pinky. I don't understand how you can protect these pathetic humans when you and your friends have the power to control them."

"We! Are! Superheroes! We'll fight with everything we've got to protect them! There are people here who're innocent and only wish a peaceful life! We protect them, so they don't have to be afraid!" I hear him continue walking.

"That's it? Such a waste. You could've become one of us. A being of darkness, feared by all," He stopped walking, his breath faintly on the back of my neck, "What's humanity worth if it stunts your growth in power Pinky?"

I took a deep breath and exhaled through my mouth as I said, "My name is Hyper Blossom. I am the leader of the PowerPuff Girls Z. Us humans wish to feel protected. We give them hope. They look to us for safety in times of crisis. It's more than just about the citizens in Tokyo City and more than everyone single human being on this planet. Our friends, our family, the ones we love live here. We must protect them from people like you. It was never about power; it was only about them. They're worth than anything, they're priceless. THEY'RE WORTH DYING FOR!" I spun around and punched him with my right fist as hard as I could. There was a huge shockwave that shattered every window that was on this floor, scattering every single table and chair that was near and far from us. I could feel rumbling beneath my feet as the entire building shook, the columns that held it up cracking from the wind pressure.

As the wind died down, I stared at him with the look of rage in my eyes. My right hand was throbbing, bruising a little from my attack. Barak's face was emotionless, I couldn't tell if he was affected or not as I could only see his left side. "You're a human? Good to know." He raised his right hand and grabbed my fist by the wrist that still connected to his face. He pulled it away from him, I tried to resist but he was too strong. He strengthened his grip on my wrist. I could feel the bones start to crack, closing my eyes and gritting my teeth in order not to scream. The next thing I heard, was the crunch of the bones in my right hand and the indescribable pain followed by it. I screamed with my mouth closed as I bit my bottom lip so hard that it started to bleed, and tears welled up in my eyes. He finally let go of my hand and I immediately dropped to my knees.

I held my right hand with my left and just looked at it. It was bruised and broken. My fingers and thumb looked to be intact for the most part, but my wrist was no longer functional. It was as if there was no wrist bone anymore. I notice a purple glow emanating above. I raise my head to see Barak's hands, palms out, outstretched toward me. "We're not finished, 'Blossom,' as he said that lightning shot from his fingertips which sent through 3 floors before back outside. I crash through another building and through the street until coming to a stop in front of a crosswalk. I couldn't even move, and my wrist only hurts even more. All I could do was lay there, as Barak floated down toward me.
