The Captain watched the horizon, like an eagle, waiting for the next prey. But no ship could be found, because everyone knew to keep out of the way of the ship called the Black Parrot.
She started to get bored, as did the crew, she could feel it in her bones as clearly as she felt the changing winds in her hair. And nothing worse than a bored pirate crew. Now was the time for some entertainment and time to finally get rid of her first officer, who was talking behind her back. No one allowed to talk behind the back of Black Tails, the most horrible pirate captain of Lazytown.
– Number One! It is time for you to walk the plank! – Trixie called out to Sportacus.
– Oh nooo! – cried out Stephany.
– Oh yes! No one will challenge my position. Walk it or I throw you out myself… – Trixie raised her hand dramatically holding up the shiny object – with the HOOK.
Everyone gasped, and the powerless voice of Ziggy called out "oh not the hook".
Sportacus looked defeated. Slowly climbed up the plank, and started to walk towards the end, as he spoke up.
– I could not take you ship Captain, your crew is too loyal to you. Now I must pay the price.
Cassie was lurking in the shadows, listening to Sportacus. She loved how he did his part, and he did it with the same energy for the seventh time now. But there was no time to waste, because that was her que.
She climbed out from below the ship, and grabbed the side of the ship.
– Oh no! The landshark! – cried out Stingy from the crow's nest, already smiling.
Cassie growled and climbed onboard. While Stephanie pulled her sword, to stop the monster.
Sportacus jumped back to the ship, to challenge the Landshark Cassie, who already was looking for a meal in the crew. Stingy was so excited to see the battle between them again, he leaned to the wooden fence on the crow's nest.
Cassie was facing Sportacus, so she could clearly see the flashing light on Sportacus' chest, and heard the beeping noise. Sportacus looked down to the number 10 on his chest, and his face immediately was clouded by worry. Cassie noticed he was looking around, searching for something, mumbling under his moustache something like "someone's in trouble", when the wooden fence, which was supporting Stingy, gave up on him.
Before he even lost his balance and started to fall, Sportacus stepped to the spot, right under the crow's nest, so when he fell, he was already there to catch him.
Cassie forgot to breathe. That fall wasn't that big, but if Stingy wouldn't be able to pull the landing just right, it would end in tragedy.
Sportacus put Stingy down on his feet, and the children started to scream things like "Wow Sportacus that was awesome."
When Cassie finally collected herself again, the kids were already replacing Stingy's fall on the ground, laughing about it, if nothing dangerous happened at all. She stepped to Sportacus and asked.
– What was that flashing, beeping thing on your chest? Is that an alarm system, or what?
– Something like that – he answered smiling sheepishly – It's my crystal, it beeps when someone is in trouble.
– But how did it know it would be trouble before it even happened? – Cassie asked, looking at the number 10 confused.
– I think Stingy was already in trouble, just by leaning over the fence. – he answered, already turning his attention to the broken fence.
– Yes but how?
– It just tells me when someone is in trouble.
– Yes, but how?
– It is the job of the crystal.
– But … – Cassie was out of words, as Sportacus just probed the wooden ladder leading to the crow's nest. It was as stable and firm as a pudding.
– This is not safe. – he stated – The kids should not be playing on this.
Cassie stepped in for a quick inspection.
– All it needs is just a couple of new screws and a little love. Maybe some new wooden steps.
– I will tell my Uncle about it. He is the mayor. – said Stephany jumping in with a solution.
– You could just ask him if he has the tools and the material, and I can fix this in no time. – said Cassie, already having a plan in her head.
– Really? – Stephany flashed a surprised joyful smile at her. – I'll go get my Uncle. Wait here!
As she ran away, Cassie turned towards Sportacus to ask him if he could help with the repair, but the hero was staring after the pink haired girl with so much love in his eyes, that Cassie kept quiet instead. She could recognise true love, when she saw it.
