A couple of nights later Mckenna was finally getting the hang of things and she was also having a good time getting to know Oliver and the rest of the gang again. Oliver and the team were keeping an eye out for Slade so that they would be able to stop him once and for all the next time they faced him. Tonight, Oliver decided that he was going to work on his sword skills, so he went into the bunker and when he got to the bottom of the steps and he saw that Nyssa was working with Emiko on her sword skills as well. He watched before going to change his clothes and noticed that it looked like they were flirting. That would be an interesting couple, Oliver thought.
Oliver went to change his clothes and then came out and then joined the two women on the mat. "It is good to see you Oliver. Are you ready to train?" Nyssa asked.
"Yeah, I could use the work. I need something to keep my mind off of Slade and what he might be doing now to find an advantage since he doesn't have the extra strength anymore." Oliver said.
"Everything will be fine Oliver. We will take him down next time we see him." Emiko said.
"I know we will. I just hope that one day he will be like his old self like on the island before the he was on the Mirakuru." Oliver said.
"We will find out soon enough, but he will still need to go to a prison. You do know that right?" Emiko asked.
"Of course, I do. I just remember the man that he used to be, and I can't even see the man he was anymore." Oliver said and both of the women nodded.
Oliver then took Emiko's place and worked on his sword skills with Nyssa for a while and then when he thought he had done enough for the night, he looked at Nyssa and asked, "What do you say to a drink upstairs Nyssa?"
"I will take you up on that offer Oliver. I do have a question for you though." Nyssa said.
"I am listening." Oliver said.
"I am enjoying my life her in Starling City, and I was wondering if I could stay here once everything is done with my father. I like the life I am building here." Nyssa said.
"I would be happy to have you here. I have a feeling there is another reason why you want to stay though." Oliver said and Nyssa couldn't help but smile.
"I guess you could say that have an interest in your sister. I just don't know if she feels the same way." Nyssa said.
"I am pretty sure she does. I thought it looked like the two of you were flirting when I came down here. This conversation just confirmed that though." Oliver said.
"I think I might pass on that drink tonight Oliver. I will buy mine and one for your sister." Nyssa said.
"Go ahead and do that. I am happy for you if this works out." Oliver said.
"Thank you." Nyssa said as she left to go upstairs.
Oliver went upstairs and met with Sara and Tommy. They were all at the club tonight since they didn't have much going on with their crime fighting part of their lives. He knew that Laurel would be by later to hang out.
"I think there might be a new couple in the making." Oliver said.
"Who are you talking about?" Sara asked.
"I walked down the stairs to the bunker earlier and it looked like Nyssa and Emiko were flirting. Nyssa said that she was going to buy Emiko a drink when she got up here." Oliver said.
"That would be an interesting couple and it would explain why Emiko has never had much of a relationship since we have known her." Sara said.
"Yeah, so how is Mckenna doing tonight?" Oliver asked.
"She is learning everything pretty quickly. I think she is going to be very good at this job and it is a good thing that she was a mainstay back in the day at this type of scene." Tommy said.
"All of us were Tommy. I think that is why this place is so successful to begin with. I also like the fact that we are making Max Fuller look bad. That dick tried to tell Laurel that I cheated on her with his fiancé. I will do whatever it takes to close his place down because of that and it looks like we are well on the way." Oliver said.
"We all know that you never cheated on Laurel, Ollie. Even as hard as I tried, you never strayed. I think that was the only time she ever really doubted you and even then, she could never move on because she always loved you. Once she found out that you never cheated, she knew that she had to be there when we got home." Sara said.
"I know. So, how are things going with you two?" Oliver asked.
"They are going good. Maybe this idiot will put a ring on my finger one day." Sara said and Oliver just laughed.
"Hey guys. Sorry, I am late." Laurel said as she walked up to them.
"You're not late. You have other stuff that needs to be done. You are important to the city as the DA. That takes precedence over being here." Oliver said.
"Well, I can't stay for long. I need to get home and let the babysitter go home." Laurel said.
"I will leave with you when you go. I want to spend some time with my son as well. It is hard to do that sometimes with the life that we have so when I have an off night, I want to take advantage of it." Oliver said.
"I like the sounds of that. I think I will stay for an hour or so and then head home." Laurel said and Oliver nodded.
The group of best friends hung around with each other for a little while until it was about time for Laurel and Oliver to leave when Laurel saw something that made her look at the rest of them.
"Since when are Nyssa and Emiko a thing?" Laurel asked.
They all looked in the direction Laurel was and saw Nyssa and Emiko in a booth kissing each other and Oliver said, "Since tonight, I guess. I saw them flirting in the bunker earlier. I guess they moved to another level now."
"Looks that way. Let's go home babe." Laurel said to Oliver who nodded and followed his wife out of the club and Laurel drove her car and Oliver drove his motorcycle home.
