Kusuo rapidly disappeared from his house as Kokomi was ringing the bell.
Mrs Saiki appeared with a big, bright smile.
"Oh my!" She said, bringing her hands to her mouth "Teruhashi!" Then she turned around and said "honey, tell Kusuo his friend is here! Come come, you can wait for him in the living room!"
Kokomi smiled brightly and offered the bag of dessert she had in her hand as she was walking in
"I brought these for you!"
"Oh my! Aren't you just the sweetest?" Kusuo's mother gosh over her while she waited
But as the time passed, Kusuo never came.
His mom appeared after a while and sat next to her, she grabbed her hands "I'm sorry Teruhashi, he's not currently home"
Kokomi's stomach dropped and she felt empty.
"Oh! Well, that's totally okay!" She rapidly got up "I was just a bit worried about him since he didn't go to school today"
Mrs Saiki smiled and squeezed her hand "don't worry! He should be back soon! There's nothing to worry about"
Kokomi nodded and left the Saiki's house.
Somehow she felt empty, she was worried about Kusuo.
Up in the sky, Kusuo watched as she left his house, her demeanor seemed down.
He had decided what he needed to do, nothing was going to change his mind.
The days went by slowly, Kusuo didn't show up to school, he had put in a transfer request to another school, far far away from his friends.
With each passing day Kokomi got even more depressed. Her texts were never answered. She tried calling Kusuo's home but he was never there, after the fifth day she quit. This clearly meant that he didn't want to see her again.
Her chest hurt. She couldn't believe that a heartbreak would actually physically hurt like that. It was hard to get up in the morning, it was hard to fall asleep, all she could think about was him. Did he just play with her?
But… Did it matter? If she found out that he just used her, would it stop hurting?
Sunday came by and went again
"I don't think I can keep going to school." she said to herself looking out her window
Kokomi was sitting in her bed hugging a pillow, the sun was setting slowly in the horizon.
The terrible pain that she felt in her chest every time she remembered him hurt even more.
How can she keep going on like this?
Was this fair?
Did he play with her feelings?
Kokomi closed her eyes and little tears rolled down her eyes.
"I… I… I just can't!!!" She screamed with the pillow against her face "what the hell did I do wrong?!?!?"
She got up and went over to her vanity and started throwing things here and there "I loved him! I still do! WHY IS HE DOING THIS TO ME?!?!? ALL I HAVE DONE… ALL I HAVE DONE IS… IS…" she trailed off, her hand was bleeding from the punch to the mirror. Kokomi didn't realize what she had done.
With her tears rolling down her face she stopped and lowered herself to the floor, hugged her legs and cried even harder
"Why… Why is this happening?" She couldn't even breathe from her nose at this point "all I did was love him… that was all…"
Kokomi cried and cried until she fell asleep on the floor. Her door was locked so no one would come inside. She was left on the floor until morning.
Kusuo's heart was breaking as the days went by. He wanted to see her again, but he couldn't. He needed to stop the friendships, the love he had for her, all of that. His mother was worried when his friends would drop by but he was never home, Nendo almost caught him, but he managed to escape. He missed them, however, he couldn't be found by them. It was better this way. That way they couldn't be hurt by anything related to him.
Losing his friends hurt, but not being able to see or talk to Kokomi hurt even more. His spring had just started and he was enjoying it, but now thanks to his brother it had to be cut short.
His mother was worried and pressed her older son to fix what he had done.
She still didn't know wha Kusuke had done, so she didn't know the extent of the damage he had done.
Two weeks after the events of the Bloody Arena had happened, Kusuo's mother went up to her son's room. Mrs Saiki was worried since her Kusuo hadn't come out of his room to spend time with his family in two weeks, before even if he was mad at his father or brother he'd come down to have dinner with them, but now he didn't did that. She slowly opened the door after knocking and sat next to her son on his bed
"Honey" she started with a sweet lovely voice, grabbing his hand "I think you need to fix this. Your friends won't quit coming. If you truly are set to move away, I won't stop you. But you will regret not having closure"
Kusuo didn't say anything, he just let out a big sight, his mother got up from his bed and kissed his forehead, after that she left him alone.
Kusuo opened his eyes and stared at his boring ceiling.
All this time, he thought about his friends, especially his Kokomi. She surely didn't feel good about this situation. The calls and messages he had received from her were proof of that.
He grabbed the collar of his shirt and took a deep breath. He needed to see her. It had been two weeks, he at least needed to see her… his heart started beating faster as he left for her house.
Kusuo appeared on Kokomi's room, but she was nowhere to be found. The bathroom water was running so he headed towards that door.
He slowly opened it and to his surprise Kokomi was laying on her bathtub sleeping. Her perfect body was exposed, thanks to the ring he had put on as soon as he had arrived he could apprevite her beautiful self.
He slowly walked towards her so as to not wake her.
"Kokomi…" he whispered as he reached for her hand, but she was cold. The water falling on her was also freezing.
Kusuo rushed to pick her up from the cold water , grabbed a towel with his telekinesis and bundle her up. Slowly he laid her down in her bed, he sat down next to her and started at her.
Her eyes were swollen, it seemed as if she had lost weight. Kokomi didn't look as perfect as she usually did when she was in school, she looked sickly, and the atmosphere around her felt sad and angry.
Kusuo tan his tender fingers across her lefecg cheek.
What had he done?
It pained to see her in this situation.
He grabbed his face, his elbows were resting on his knees. He can't do this to her.
His heart ached from this situation.
Her usual glow was off, her smile was gone, she didn't care about her image.
"Kusuo…" she whispered in her sleep "come back…"
Hearing this made Kusuo's heart skip a beat, immediately after that his heart hurt and his fingers were in pain as he squeezed her hand.
He brought her hand to to his face and a silent tear went down his cheek.
