Romeo was by himself as he stood atop the Point, looking down on Magnolia. The young man couldn't help but think back on what they had said earlier.
You're going to propose, right?
The young man couldn't help but say out loud as he thought back on those few trying hours of trying to convince the girl to calm down,
"It's not that easy Allia."
Romeo found himeself telling her this as they finally calmed her down. The two of them finally departing with promises of silences.
Romeo pulled the tiny blue box that had set off the entire incident by reaching into his pocket. He opened it and looked closely at the tiny ring. A blue stone sat in the middle, surrounded by two little diamonds in an antique princess cut.

Veritas

As two passengers got off the most recent train to take a break in the Veritas station, the sound of whistling trains filled the air.
The dark-haired companion followed the blue-haired girl as she bounced ahead with joy.
"It would be really embarrassing if you fell, so you had best be careful."
Wendy, who had been skipping, suddenly came to a stop and spun around to face her boyfriend, saying,
"Then you'll just have to catch me, won't you, Ro-kun?"
The male instantly moved closer, grabbing the girl's hand in his, and planting a little kiss on her palm with a broad smile plastered across his face.
"Leave it to me malady" he voice held a certain smugness to it as he saw Wendy checks immediately darken.
The girl swatted her boyfriend's arms before speaking a gentle laugh that filled her throat.
"Stop making fun of me, Romeo-kun"
A few moments afterwards, the girl turned and walked forward while still holding onto her partner and not letting go.
As Romeo then stumbled after her.
His throat filled with laughter as well.
"Sorry Wendy, you're just too adorable."
Wendy jerked her partner forward with a single humph, causing him to fall forward where he was now walking next to her with his hand still tightly clasped.
The town of Veritas was a large town ran by merchants. Built upon the largest market in Fiore. The Grand Market with vendors and shops lining the town, at the Grand Market, you could find just about anything you were looking for from handcrafted accessories sold by people from the Frigid Icelands. To foreign goods from Alvarez, anything and everything was for the sale. Tourists filling the streets happy looking to spend their hard earned jewels. The fairy tail mages were no exception. As Wendy shoved bag after bag into her partner's outstretched Arms while keeping one hand tied to her own.

"Do we really need all of this, Wendy?" Romeo inquired
"Yes, we haven't been home for months. We need to get everyone mementos."
Without missing a beat, the bluenette remarked as she pushed yet another bag into her boyfriend's arms.
A small crowd formed around a tiny stall as the two circled it.
Crash!!
We see a gigantic man with masculine muscles protruding from beneath his shirt looming over a petite, elderly shopkeeper while wearing a ripped tank top and large slacks.
"You old geezer, what the heck are you trying to do to me?"
The market square was filled with the shouting of the big male.
Noticing this, Wendy added another bag to Romeo's arms. Before approaching the commotion.
"I'm sorry, sir."
The muscular man looked across at Wendy.
"What ya want, gal? Got something to say?" The barley male question as Wendy quickly replied.
"Yes, you're making a fuss. Would you mind quieting down? I'm trying to go on a date, you see."
Moving away from the merchant, the giant came closer to Wendy, dwarfing the sky dragon's diminutive 5.4-inch frame with his massive 7-foot size. The man stood in front of her and gazed angrily at her, to which the sky dragon quickly reciprocated.
A minute later, the behemoth of a man's fist slammed down as he brought it down upon the dragon, his anger clear as day.
"I don't know who you are, girl, but don't think I'm just going to sit here and take that from you."
Bam!
The man's fist slammed into the Sky Dragon's hand as he tried to strike the girl, who hadn't moved an inch.
Her soft voice filled the room.
"You know that using enhancement magic on an innocent person is not what a wizard should be doing. But since I'm not a regular person, allow me to show how true enhancement magic works."
The 7-foot, 200-pound pile of muscle attempted to retreat from the bluenette after letting out a startled cry.
She moved forward and grasped the man's forearm with her other hand. The behemoth of many immediately felt his feet departing the earth with a powerful tug.
Thud!!
"Gahhh!"
The last sound to fill the area before the man's back crashed violently into the brick ground below was his startled gasp. How dare you make a fool out of the mighty Rodrick, don't you know who I am? The large behemoth yelled, leaping to his feet. The muscle man's body soon returned to its original size, the tight shirt soon giving way, as loud gasps could be heard throughout the crowd as a dark purple emblem emerged on the man's biceps.
"You will soon regret picking a fight with me. I'm Twilight Orge Giant Killer, Roderick!" Rodrick then swung his enormous fist at Wendy once more. The giant's attack continued as the dragon slayer casually stepped away from it after easily spotting it. The interaction was almost like a dance. Air circled around the dragon slayer palm as she danced further away from him, before striking out as she drove her small palm into the brute's chest.
Sky Dragon Crushing Fang!
The mammoth's eyes immediately rolled to the back of his head as he collapsed to the ground with nothing but a gasp.
As the audience applauded and expressed gratitude, sounds of clapping soon filled the air. The seller quickly started moving through and toward the sky dragon.
He was really causing us quite a bit of trouble, not just for myself but also for my rivals, so thanks for the help, young lady
Romeo quickly approached to take his place next to Wendy, who was beaming at the man with a little smile on her face.
It was nothing, Sir; it was just a part of being a Fairy Tail Wizard.
When Fairy Tail responded,
"Of course I'm Wendy Marvel and this is my partner Romeo Conbolt." the old man's eyes widened, and he asked,
"Fairy Tail, you say what your names are, if I may ask."
The old man soon let out a loud chuckle. "Romeo and Wendy, huh? Who would've thought we get some celebrities' visitors around here"
As he shouted this, two little kids dashed out of the crowd.
a young boy and girl darted forward dressed as they chartered excitedly. The rest of the crowd then started speaking and asking questions all over the place.
Are you really those renowned wizards? Are you as destructive as they claim? What does your guild hall do to maintain order?

Some time later
After fielding several inquiries and posing for a few photos, Romeo and Wendy had finally escaped the crowd. The two having a small discussion on the previous events.
"It used to be natsu and all of them; things have really changed, huh Wen? I can't believe we're famous."
"I know it's hard to believe Natsu and Erza were always the most well-liked characters; in fact, you used to dress like Natsu."
Romeo offered her a sheepish grin as he says, "Yeah, think you're right,"
Taking a slight moment to recall, the fire mage couldn't help but ask another question
" Which would you reply if I asked which you preferred?"
Arriving at a halt, Wendy gave Romeo a momentary glance as she mentally compared the two side by side, imagining Romeo's younger self standing next to him. As she recalled all the time they had spent together.
After their first encounter during the Tenrou incident. Alongside the many hours they spent conversing with everyone in the guild, Their first date during the Grand Magic games, The months they spent exchanging letters during Fairy Tail's breakup, the formation of their own team following Fairy Tail's reunion, the tearful farewell after the war when she left for the Hundred Year Quest with Natsu, and all the late-night Lacrima calls throughout her mission were all significant moments in their relationship.
"Wendy here, you okay? "The young man snapped his fingers in front of her face as Romeo's voice interrupted her trip down memory lane.
Wendy tried to return her focus to Romeo, but she could not prevent the tiny smile from grazing her features.
"It's nothing, Ro. I simply couldn't help but think back on all the times we've spent together and the changes we've gone through." Hearing this, Romei couldn't help relate it back to his previous question.
"Oh sure, are you saying that you prefer the present to me over the past?"
"No, because you are always the person I need by my side no matter what, I Love You Romeo,"
Wendy said with a gentle shake of her head.
Romeo's cheeks colored a bit at Wendy's sincere response, immediately embracing the Sky Slayer and he could not control himself as he began pulling her tighter into his embrace, placing his head on top of hers.

Romeo's reminiscence came to a stop when he looked up at the ominous sky. He gave the ring in his palm one final examination before gently putting it aside.
"Wen, I'm sorry, but I can't give you this at this just yet"

Hey everyone glad to finish this finally sorry for the long wait but I wanted to make an extended chapter for this one to really set some things up. Unfortunately It took a lot longer than I expected to do some irl complications but regardless I hope you enjoyed it.
