Dust.

"Dust Ammo, Dust Clothing, Dust Powder... and Dust Crystals... what the hell even is dust?" Naruto spoke to himself as he looked into a shop window, and saw an advertisement for a new combination of dust for some kind of new weapon. Weapons ran on dust it would seem, and the guns of this world were far more common than guns were in his world. The fact that shinobi made guns pointless helped with that.

The enemy of this world were Grimm though, not humans.

Not to mention so many of the different types of dust were sold by a company that had a snowflake like logo on it. He might as well get himself a weapon, something that he could use to make up a little of the strength he lost.

"Oh, you're looking for a weapon?"

"You could tell?" Naruto asked the random girl, who seemed to be very interested in what he was looking at through the window. She couldn't be older than 15 or 16, 17 at the very most. She was on the shorter, more petite side of things, with paler skin and silver eyes. She also wore a large red cloak over her shoulders. "I know how to use most basic weapons, so something basic... but that I can get creative with." Naruto didn't know how she could tell he was looking at weapons, but the help from an enthusist was always welcome.

"Weapons are an extention of us, so really, you should build it yourself."

"I'm not that smart."

"Neither is my sister, she store bought her gauntlets and painted them. I'm Ruby, Ruby Rose, by the way." Ruby introduced herself as she walked around Naruto, and she tried to judge his body to think of a weapon for him. "You've got good shoulders and arms... maybe a large, double headed axe... I know that there is one here that can youse inserted dust crystals to give the blades effects." Ruby compared his arms to her own thin arms.

She grabbed his wrist and pulled him into the store, towards the weapon section with a wide smile on her face, and stars in her eyes.

'She's a weapon nut... perfect.' Naruto grinned, since that meant she would be passionate about making sure that he got the right weapon for his body.

"Now... here, a Shielding Axe... see, here, the pole transform and go inside the axe. This allows the axe to turn into a shield. Offensive axe and defensive shield, all weapons need to be able to go on the defensive." Ruby lectured Naruto as she grunted with effort, taking the weapon off of the shelf and handing it to him.

The axe blades were massive, and the pole's shaft was easily 7 feet long, with the axe blades each being twice as large as his torso. She pressed a trigger next to where the blades connected, and the shaft was pulled into the blades, turning it into bladed shield.

"Cool." Naruto held the shield up.

It was throwable, the handle on the side of it could easily be something that he could throw and turn the shield into a makeshift fuma shuriken.

"Also, you can use Fire Dust to make the blades heat up, or ice dust to make ice where you cut things... and if you buy the accessery, you can add Gravity Dust... I wouldn't suggest Lightning Dust since it can be a little... hard to control." Ruby explained as she saw Naruto turn the shield back into an axe and toss it from hand to hand to test it's weight. She whistled at how he could hold the large weapon with one hand, since most people weren't that physically strong.

She knew her sister could do the same thing, but she wasn't as physically strong as her sister was, though she was not weak either. She could lift a large mechanical scythe with one hand as well, but the axe Naruto was holding was made to crush large grimm. It was made with weight in mind, for the physically strong to be able to fight even large grimm.

"Lightning Dust, hard to control, got it... why is this thing so cheap?" Naruto asked as he looked at the price tag.

Ruby laughed.

"No transforming gun, super heavy, and only people with amazing arm strength can use the shield with one arm. Weapons like those are nice, but they just lack long range abilities. If anything, you would be paying too much for it." Ruby explained with a haughty laugh. "Perfect for people with your strength and build, but not cool looking or useful for taking out small and quick grimm." Ruby only believed the weapon was a match for him because he looked like a guy that could make any weapon good,

She liked the look in his eyes, he seemed like he could adapt to pretty much anything, and the more people who could use weapons like that the better.

"Ah... the other trigger makes the pole come off... shield and stalf style... neat." Naruto pulled the trigger on the other half of the axe handle, and the pole disconnected from the axe. He started to spin the pole around like a lance. Ruby clapped her hands when he started to twirl the pole around his hand and arm with a surprising amount of skill. He reattached the pole to the shield and it turned back into an axe.

"Neat... MORE than neat! You just executed a picture perfect scythe spinning and slash combo with one hand! You treated that weapon like you've been handling weapons since you were a kid... that was amazing. No, you don't need an axe, you NEED a scythe!" Ruby shouted in shock and awe. "Even I need two hands to pull that off!" Ruby had never seen somebody with the level of weapon skill to just up and use a fighting style like that with no training.

Naruto scratched the back of his head.

"Well, I did join the military when I was 12... I'm pretty used to fighting, and while I'm no Tenten, it's basic to be able to use weapons with no training." Naruto laughed awkwardly.

"No, you ARE a ten out of ten! You're a child prodigy, if you joined the army at 12, it means you were a trained warrior long before most people even start their training. You look 17... that is 5 years... people graduate from Beacon when they are 21... it's like your a Huntsman!" Ruby gushed at the level of skill it would take for somebody to reach military level at such a young age.

-Several Hours Later-

"Amazing, no matter what weapon you try, you get the hang of all of them like they are nothing... I'm not just impressed, I'm baffled... you're a Jack of All Weapons! Good at using every weapon, but a Master of None. I've mastered the scythe, but if you gave me a sword, I wouldn't be great... but you are great with BOTH." Ruby took the lance from his arms, and she pushed another weapon into them as she put the lance back on the display rack. She sat down and faced Naruto, hands on her chin with a smile.

She had tried to find a single weapon that he lacked the ability to use.

He could use them all, some better than others, but clearly he would be comfortable with any weapon you gave him. He was clearly trained in such a weapon that he would use whatever was around him to his advantage, which meant that he could use any weapon. He didn't need training, because he would always use a weapon in a way that felt right for him.

"Oh no... I'm so late. See you later!"

...

"The axe is cheap, and huge weapons are badass... I'll just go with this one." Naruto picked back up the first weapon he tried. He had very little money that he got from the dead people, but he had enough to get the weapon.

Zabuza taught him a lesson about big weapons making you a badass.

Did he ever introduce himself to that weird girl?
