Chapter 21: The Yule Ball

The day before the Yule Ball had the entire school gossiping, whispering, and giggling in excitement. The school, which is normally decorated for the holidays, had become sophisticated with frosted wreaths and icicles floating above the ceilings. The abundance of students from each school were barely paying attention in class and causing teachers to, as Snape would say, "lose their bloody minds."

Sienna, although never let anything really get to her in regards to dances or events like these, felt very nervous about the Ball. She heard Fred and George talk about their plans and how to swoon their dates. She observed Ron accidentally screaming at Fleur Delacour to be his date, which she politely and elegantly declined. She even watched as Neville Longbottom stumbled over his words asking Ginny to be his date to the Ball, which she accepted whole-heartedly. It made Sienna realize how intimate this event could be for people. When she realized Harry and Ron were going to be going with the Pavarti twins, she almost swore that their cheeks were going to turn to the color of their crimson sweaters that they wore.

Sienna decided not to tell her male companions of who her date would be at the Yule Ball. Although she knew it was none of their business, she also didn't want to hear everyone complain about her choice. However, she was not prepared for the one person who did ask her to be their date.

Sienna was sitting in the Great Hall during her break from classes, scribbling on parchment paper about the effects of the Wideye Potion and why it was useful during the War on Gargoyles from 1918. Ginny sat across from her also filling out the same assignment, occasionally asking Sienna if her father would be angry that there were coffee stains on the parchment paper. Sienna started giggling, when she felt a presence behind her. She heard someone clear their throat quickly.

Sienna turned and found none other than Cedric Diggory. Sienna smiled up at the boy. "Hello, Cedric."

He smiled at her, his cheeks turning a tint of pink. "Sienna, always a pleasure to see you."

"Likewise."

"Ready for the Ball, tomorrow?"

"As ready as I can be. How are you preparing for it?"

"Just trying to tell myself that all eyes won't be on me for the first four minutes of the entire event."

Sienna giggled. She heard about the opening dance of the champions. "I'm sure it won't be so bad."

"No, but I do assume that a date would help my case."

Sienna's stomach dropped out of an abundance of nerves. He's not asking what I think he is….

"I think it would too. It'd be a bit silly to see you turn thin air around the dance floor." she responded, convincing herself she might even be a Ravenclaw with her wittiness.

"Well, you see, I think I may have come up with a solution for that. No ghosts involved, thankfully." Cedric eyed the girl cautiously. His hands sat in the pockets of his pants as he smirked at Sienna.

Sienna's heart started to beat fast. Surely a seventh year, let alone a Triwizard Tournament champion, was not asking her to be his date.

"Oh? Are you going to be dancing with Mrs. Norris then? I don't think Filch will allow that, to be quite honest with you." She replied sarcastically. Anything to deflect the awkward feeling rolling off her skin.

Cedric laughed at her remark. "No, not Mrs. Norris. Ironically enough, I am allergic to cats."

"Ah! I think you may be out of luck then."

Sienna turned her head and gave Ginny a look. A look that screamed help me when I need it. Ginny, ever so subtly, nodded her head and continued to dip her quill in her ink.

"Well, you see, I was hoping maybe you would be interested in accompanying me. I figured you could help me guide my feet and not trip over them."

Sienna's throat suddenly felt dry. Cedric Diggory was asking her, a third year, to the Yule Ball. She felt her cheeks and ears turn hot, becoming very apparent on her fair skin. "Cedric, I-I'm flattered really, but, you see-"

"Snape!" She heard from a few feet away. She looked past Cedric and found Draco strutting towards the two. Cedric spun a bit to see the boy as well, his smile fading at the sight of him. Draco continued, "Decided to ditch our study session for your Potions exam?"

Sienna cocked an eyebrow at the boy. She didn't plan that with-

Oh.

Sienna played along. "Sorry, got a bit tied up with Ginny." She turned and gave Ginny a look, who was minding her own business, but smirking very discreetly. Cedric stood awkwardly, waiting for an answer from Sienna. He watched as she gathered her things and slung her bag over her shoulder.

Sienna smiled sadly at Cedric. "Cedric, I'm sorry. I already have a date for the Yule Ball." His face fell a bit, however shook it off promptly.

He returned the smile and nodded his head. "Of course. Foolish me. You're a lovely witch, Sienna."

She felt her cheeks burn once again. "Thank you, Cedric. Take care." With one last look, she walked past him and towards Draco. What Sienna didn't see was Draco scowling at Cedric, eyeing the boy up and down.

Draco put his hand on the small of Sienna's back, guiding her out of the Great Hall. Once they were out of the Great Hall and walking towards the Library, Draco made a comment.

"Diggory fancies you, I see."

Sienna rolled her eyes. "I wasn't expecting that at all from him."

Draco stayed silent for a few moments. He knew that Sienna was desirable - hell, he felt it first hand. He was taken aback when he noticed Cedric approaching the girl. Draco tried not to feel bouts of jealousy when it came to Sienna. He knew that she cared for him and that he cared for her. However, he couldn't help but feel like he needed to protect the girl, especially from boys who were in the higher years than her.

"To be fair, I understand his interest."

Sienna looked at Draco, eyes wide. "That's kind of you to say, Draco."

Draco smirked. "I'm sure we'll be the best looking couple there."

Sienna's heart skipped a beat for a moment. "If you think so." She replied. "Did you get your dress robes yet?"

"Of course. I'm sure I'll be the better looking one out of the both of us." He said smugly, yet jokingly. Sienna rolled her eyes.

And there is the Draco she knew and loved.

Loved.

Sienna continued to realize her feelings for Draco as the days went on. She had not spoken of the night in the Astronomy Tower to him yet. She felt as though it was… a mistake, to him at least. She questioned where she stood with the boy everyday.

He acts like they are a couple in some ways - like when Seamus Finnegan compliments her hair and Draco shoves him against the wall in the corridor.

Or when she's sitting across the table from Harry Potter and Draco is glaring into Harry's back as if his eyes had laser eye vision.

But Draco has not spoken of their kiss since that night.

Some parts of Sienna wanted to bring it up, to know what was happening between them, but the other part of Sienna was terrified of what was to come of the conversation. What if it was just Draco being Draco? She's heard the rumors of him being flirtatious with girls in their school. It never bothered her until recently. Her feelings for him were starting to distract her more and more.

"You alright, Snape?"

Sienna snapped back to reality and looked over at the boy. She quickly nodded her head. "Yes, er, sorry. I was just thinking about…" she stumbled a bit on her words. She couldn't possibly tell Draco about her thoughts about the night at the Astronomy Tower.

"About what?" He pressed. Sienna looked around the corridor to find no one was around them. It was just them. Sienna toyed with the idea of telling him what was bothering her. No, she couldn't…

Fine. She did.

"Well, you see, I've been kind of thinking about that night…you know…" She once again stumbled on her words. She felt her cheeks getting hot and the tip of her ears scorching to touch. She cleared her throat a bit, trying to muster her confidence again. She made eye contact with Draco, who was still waiting for her to finish her sentence. Finally, she sighed.

"I just want to know what we are, Draco."

Draco's eyes widened a little at her sentence. He started blushing himself, Sienna noted. He cleared his throat, suddenly avoiding eye contact with the girl. "Is that what's been on your mind?"

She nodded, nervous about his answer. She played with her braid and avoided eye contact with the boy as well. "We haven't really talked about it since and I just…" she sighed again. She looked back at Draco, who was also starting to make eye contact with her again. "I just want to know if it meant something to you." She watched Draco closely, looking for any sign that was uncomfortable. More to see if he felt the same.

She watched as the one corner of his mouth twitched up on his face slowly. Slowly, the rest of his mouth formed a small smile on his face. "If I knew this was bothering you the entire six weeks, I would've told you sooner."

Sienna's eyebrow hitched slightly, confused by his choice of words. "Tell me what?"

Draco stepped closer to the girl, staring into her blue eyes. "I haven't stopped thinking about that night after the First Task, Sienna."

Sienna's breath hitched slightly in her throat. Her blush deepened quite a bit. Quickly, she turned into the daughter that she was raised to be by her mother.

"Well, you could've said it sooner then, couldn't you?" She said snarkily. Draco laughed at her statement. "Yeah, I guess I could've."

She laughed with him too. She settled down and continued smiling. "Did you actually want to study for potions, Malfoy?"

He shook his head, scratching the back of his neck. "Not at all. I just didn't want Diggory stealing my date to the Yule Ball."

She rolled her eyes at him. "He wouldn't have, but I appreciate the effort." She smirked at the boy. Draco returned the smirk back.

"I'm looking forward to tomorrow night, Snape."

She smiled again at the boy. "Likewise, Malfoy."

It was finally Christmas Day.

This was Sienna's first year spending the holiday away from her mother. Although she was anticipating this day and it was planned to be with her father, Sienna couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness.

However, her letter from her mother made her feel a bit better. Alessia mentioned to Sienna that her cousin Sirius was going to be celebrating with her for the first time since Sienna was a baby, which made the girl happy. Remus was going to be there, of course. Alessia mentioned that having almost everyone back together warmed her heart.

This was also Sienna's first holiday spent with her father. The morning she woke, she was wearing an emerald green sweater that was gifted to her by Ginny, which has a big "S" on the front. She wore silk black pajama bottoms, and her usual braided hair was tidied up a bit. As she walked through the common room to go to her father's classroom, the Slytherin's Christmas tree gave off a greenish tint to the place. The tree itself was black and had green ornaments glistening from the fireplace that was roaring to keep the room warm. She smiled at the smiles of her housemates as they unwrapped presents from both their families and friends. Sienna was thankful her presents were already sent and opened from her loved ones this year.

Her father gifted her with a quill that was enchanted to be inked every other sentence, which she was thankful for. Her mother gifted her a new woven blanket to keep her warm throughout the night in her dormitory. Ginny and the Weasley family gifted her her sweater that she wore proudly. Draco and her had decided not to do gifts this year, as she had no idea what to do with all the jewelry he always got her.

But somehow, he always seemed to surprise her.

Draco stood by the common room doorway, waiting for Sienna in particular. Her heart skipped a beat when he saw her appear, her beauty always taking him by surprise. He smiled to himself softly.

As much as he tried not to admit it, he couldn't deny that Sienna Snape was the only girl who made him question every thought, every action, and every moment that he encountered with her. He wanted to tell her, to make her feel special.

To admit he was in love with her.

Draco watched as Sienna moved towards him, a smile on her face. Before she spoke, she wrapped her arms around Draco's torso. Draco had gotten much taller since she first met him, standing at five foot nine inches. Draco swiftly returned the hug, squeezing her tight.

"Happy Christmas, Malfoy." He heard her whisper.

He smiled again. "Happy Christmas, Snape."

They both pulled away and looked at each other. Draco cleared his throat, "Are you off to see your father right now?" He was hoping it would be "no".

She shook her head. "Probably lunch time, then I'll need to get ready for the ball." She blushed a little, he noticed. Draco felt his palms get a bit sweaty thinking of what Sienna will be wearing later. He nodded at her, and continued to speak.

"I was hoping you'd have a moment to come to the Room of Requirement with me?" He asked. He eyes Sienna carefully, wondering what her answer will come to. She nodded her head without a second thought.

"Of course. I'm feeling a bit jolly for the holidays." She smirked at him. He laughed at her answer. Gathering his thoughts, he offered his arm for her to grab. "Splendid. Let's go then."

She laughed and took his arm without another thought. "Are you leading me to my death, Malfoy?"

He rolled his eyes, " yet, at least." He joked.

She snickered.

About 10 minutes later, Sienna and Draco arrived at a blank wall. When Draco stopped walking and they both stood in front of it, Sienna became perplexed. She turned her head and hitched an eyebrow at him. "Uh, Draco?"

He smirked at her, reading her mind. "Watch this."

He unhooked his arm from Sienna and asked her to stand to the side near the corridor behind them. She watched curiously and Draco paced three times past the wall, when suddenly, two big doors appeared in front of them. Sienna's eyes grew wide, her mouth agape.

Draco turned around and shrugged his shoulders. "Voila." He turned back and opened the doors. Sienna walked over and peaked inside.

She found a small, four foot Christmas tree next to a fireplace, a coffee table with breakfast pastries scattered over the top, and a red couch with a cozy, white knitted blanket hanging over the arm of the couch. There were two tea cup placements on the coffee table and Sienna noticed snow falling from the ceiling onto the Christmas tree. Sienna slowly walked into the Room of Requirement with an awestruck face.

"Draco…" she whispered, thinking of words to say and immediately losing them.

She turned around to find Draco staring at her. He smiled whole heartedly. "Like it, Snape?"

She nodded her head. "This is beautiful." She walked slowly over to the couch, feeling the blanket and looking at the site. She turned back to Draco. "I thought we said no gifts?"

"We did. This isn't a gift. It's a moment."

She smiled at the boy and walked over to him briskly. Clever boy, she thought. She wrapped her arms around his torso once again and laid her head on his chest. She felt tears brimming her eyes a bit, so she closed them and waited for him to return the hug.

"Thank you." She whispered. Draco, without hesitation, returned the hug like he always did. This time, he placed his lips into her hair and pressed them there for a good 5 seconds.

"Anything for you, Sea." He whispered back.

She blushed and felt an internal hurricane throughout her body. She loved this boy. She would continue to love this boy.

Until her heart had no more to give.

Draco and Sienna broke their embrace and made their way over to the couch. Draco flicked his wand, and tea was being poured for them. She grabbed her favorite Christmas pastry that reminded her of her childhood - a cinnamon bun.

Sienna sat down on the couch, her one leg tucked under her body. She took a bite of the cinnamon bun as Draco placed himself next to her, sipping his tea while doing so. She noticed a few things about Draco while they sat together and enjoyed each other's company. She noticed his hair had gotten slightly unruly as of late. Throughout the years, he had sported slicked back hair. This year, his hair was more laid back, his bangs falling in his face every so often. She realized how long it had gotten when he was turned into a ferret by Professor Moody and was transfigured back to himself by McGonagall. She had noticed he had gotten more mature as well. When they first met, he was about 5 foot 2 inches. He had grown quite a bit more and she noticed his face had grown into his ears.

She smiled at the thought of knowing that Draco had matured a bit, in a sense of physical appearance.

Draco was still growing up a bit. The boy she met her first year - pompous, arrogant, and self-centered - was not there completely, but she noticed it whenever Harry was mentioned in his presence.

She never questioned why. She never hoped that she had to.

Draco paced back and forth in front of the Great Hall, waiting for Sienna to meet him before they were to head into the Ball for the opening ceremony. He kept checking the staircase to see her walk down, but everytime he lifted his head, he didn't catch sight of the piercing blue eyes against black hair and pale skin. Crabbe started to think he was going mad with the way he was pacing.

"I've never made you out to be the anxious type, Malfoy." He said to him.

Draco stopped pacing and stared at the boy. "You also don't have a normal thought for yourself, Crabbe." He shot back.

Crabbe shut his mouth quickly and turned back to Goyle, avoiding anymore hate from the blonde haired heir.

Blaise made his way to Draco and patted him on the shoulder. "You alright there, Draco?"

Draco nodded quickly. "Of course, why wouldn't I be?"

"I think you're almost nervous you won't win this bet." Blaise smirked at him.

Draco stood still in his space. He honestly had forgotten about the bloody bet he made with Blaise. He cleared his throat and scratched the back of his head. "You know, about that, Zabini-"

He stopped speaking once he realized Blaise, Crabbe, and Goyle were all staring past him in awe. Draco was perplexed. He turned around and felt all of the oxygen in his lungs leave his body.

At the top of the staircase was Sienna Snape. She stood next to Granger, but Draco's eyes were glued to her. Her hair was down, her bangs pinned back. Her hair was long, he noticed, the length brushed just past her chest, which he had now noticed had developed over the past few years. The top of her hair was slick, but the bottom was curled loosely. She stood in a beautiful gown - a satin mauve floor length dress. The top of her dress sat off her shoulders and went straight across. The bottom of her dress had a tall slit that came up to her mid thigh. She wore heels - unlike her, he thought - nude ones with an ankle strap. Her makeup was simple, he noticed, but he noticed. Her blue eyes were captivating.

Draco's heart exploded at the sight of her. He felt his whole body flood with nerves, love, and anxiety all at once.

He knew his feelings right then and there. He was in love with Sienna Snape.

She walked down the staircase, Draco examined her as she struggled to not trip on her own feet. He chucked to himself as he walked to meet her at the bottom. As he waited, he spotted Viktor Krum standing next to him, waiting as well, in his traditional Dumstrang robes. Draco cocked an eyebrow at him, and realization hit him once he saw Granger put her hand in his as he bowed to her.

His eyes went wide with surprise, and managed to turn back to Sienna just in time. He was infatuated all over again.

Draco realized he was taking too long and offered his hand quickly to Sienna. She smiled at him and grabbed it lightly. "Snape, you look…" he trailed off. She blushed as he stuttered, trying to find the exact word that matches her beauty.

She giggled as a word had not been spoken yet. "You look dashing, Draco." She said to him, helping him feel more at ease around her. Draco sported expensive looking robes. Traditional black and white, but his tie was an emerald green. His cufflinks matched the color of his tie, and his handkerchief in his chest pocket did as well. He cleared his throat and blushed. "As do you, Sienna." He offered her his arm, and as she snaked hers through his, he blushed even more.

They began to walk into the Great Hall as they were stopped by none other than her father. Draco nodded at the man out of respect, considering his daughter was wrapped in his arms cordially. Professor Snape was still for a moment, before speaking.

"You look just like your mother, Sienna." He muttered.

Draco noticed that her eyes had begun to glisten from the tears that sat at the brim of her eyelids. She quickly blinked them away and made to hug her father. They embraced, Sienna smiling the entire time. "Thank you." She whispered. Draco noted that the Professor's mouth tweaked into a bit of a smile, which was rare for Draco to see. As the two broke their embrace, Sienna weaved her arm back through Draco's. She blinked again, sniffling a bit. Draco couldn't help but feel his heart warm at the sight of the two.

Snape turned to Draco momentarily. "Malfoy." He started. Draco looked into the dark eyes of the man that stood before him. Snape continued, "Do not think about doing anything remotely disrespectful to my daughter." He emphasized the last word. Draco gulped and nodded his head. "I won't, sir." Snape eyed the boy quickly before nodding at the two to proceed into the Hall.

Sienna caught a glimpse of the champions who were lined up with their escorts. Sienna saw Harry and smiled subtly at him, who was standing with Pavarti Patil. He gave her a small wave and blushed. Next she saw Fleur with her date, who was handsome so to say. After her stood Viktor Krum with Hermione. Sienna gave her a big smile and a wave as well. Hermione blushed, trying to keep her cool around Viktor. Viktor and Draco shared a look and a nod. Finally, she passed by Cedric and his date, Cho Chang.

Cedric did a bit of a double take when he realized one, how Sienna looked, and two, who she was with. He blinked rapidly before giving her a sort of sad smile. She nodded at the two before making their way into the Hall.

The Great Hall was nothing that Sienna had ever seen it as. The entire room was white, silver, and glistening with snow all around. The normal tables were supplemented with circle ones with beautiful silver table clothes. The center pieces consisted of evergreen colored decor and a single silver rose. Each table sat about eight people. Draco and Sienna made their way to their table to place their things down, before Dumbledore instructed everyone to gather around the dance floor for the first dance of the Champions.

Sienna spotted Ginny standing with Neville, and looked at Draco. "Draco, is it alright if we stand with Ginny?" She asked.

Although Draco did not seem pleased with the idea, he reluctantly agreed. They made their way over to the two, Sienna hugging Ginny and giggling. She then embraced Neville, who was blushing so much, she thought he would turn into a phoenix. Draco kept a straight face, but nodded at the two. Neville and Ginny, however, did not return it.

"This place is so beautiful." Sienna whispered to Ginny. Ginny agreed, "you should see Ron's robe clash with this place. You'll die."

Sienna scanned the room with her eyes and found Ron standing dreadfully, sporting the oldest robes she had ever seen. Draco also saw and started to laugh.

"Weasel-by's hair matches his robes." Draco couldn't wait to talk about this with Zabini later.

Dumbledore then silenced the entire hall, announcing that the Champions will be entering at this time. Sienna and Draco stood silently as the Weird Sisters started playing their music. Alas, the Champions entered gracefully into the Hall. Everyone began to clap and Sienna noticed Harry stiff as a nail, with Pavarti waving at all of her friends beside him. Draco smirked and whispered to Sienna, "Potter looks like he's going to vomit any second."

Sienna scolded him. "Be nice, Draco."

He smirked at her and continued to clap. Suddenly the music stopped, and the Weird Sisters began to play the traditional Wizard Waltz music. Sienna watched as they all pranced around the floor gracefully, Harry almost dropping Pavarti once. Sienna felt sorry for the bloke. He was not used to this sort of thing whatsoever.

Clapping erupted as Dumbledore had escorted Professor McGonagall onto the dance floor and began to join the champions in the waltz. Suddenly, Ginny and Neville courageously joined them next. She felt Draco turn to her and offer his hand. "Ready?" He asked her. She blushed and nodded.

Sienna felt in a daze as she and Draco walked together hand in hand onto the dance floor. Draco placed his hand on her waist, his other grasping her hand. Sienna placed her hand on Draco's shoulder, and then the rest was history.

Sienna and Draco spun, twisted, and turned during the dance. She noticed how elegant Draco danced with her. His feet knew exactly where to move each step, Sienna struggling to keep up. She laughed at the uptick in the musical note, when Draco grasped both her hips and lifted her up in the air quickly. She landed back on her feet, Draco grasping her closer to him as they turned in unison. She couldn't stop smiling and neither could he.

After dinner, Sienna and Draco were dragged onto the dance floor near the stage as one of her favorite songs started to play. Everyone around them was jumping, dancing, and singing along. Sienna laughed as she watched Draco and Blaise dance a few feet away from each other, almost as if it were a competition. Sienna had never seen this side of Draco - free and happy. Suddenly, her arm was grasped and Draco was spinning her around, dipping her in a joking matter. Sienna couldn't stop laughing, and grasped her hands in his as she danced in front of him. He smiled at her and mimicked her movements. At this point, Draco had forgotten about his jacket and was sporting just his white shirt, black suspenders, and green tie.

She caught a glimpse of Hermione and Viktor dancing the same way her and Draco were. Hermione waved at her before being spun around again by the Dumstrang boy. Draco then wrapped his arms around Sienna and spun her so that her back was to his chest, and then spun back to their original stance. The song ended and the first few chords of a slower song began to play. Everyone stopped slowly and grabbed onto each other, finding the rhythm to the music.

Draco and Sienna stood in front of each other for a moment, before Draco bowed. He smiled at her and offered his hand. She giggled and without hesitation, clasped his hand. He placed her hand over his shoulder and around his neck, her other hand following suit. Draco's hands then clasped around her thin waist. Draco's light gray eyes looked deeply into her blue ones. Sienna couldn't breathe, she couldn't think. All she knew was that Draco Malfoy was the one. Her soulmate. She listened as the singer sang the song beautifully for the school.

This is your final chance
To hold the one you love
You know you've waited long enough
So, believe that magic works
Don't be afraid of being hurt
Don't let this magic die
The answer's there
Oh, just look in her eyes

The words of the song sank into Draco's heart and soul. He had the most perfect girl infront of him, dancing, swaying to the same pace as him. Draco placed his forehead on Sienna's, closing his eyes. Sienna did the same, embasking the moment with him.

And don't believe that magic can die
No, no, no, this magic can't die.

Draco opened his eyes and gulped quietly. "Sienna?" He whispered. Her eyelids fluttered open. "Draco?" She mimicked in true Snape fashion.

He took a deep breath. "I love you."

Sienna's breath hitched and she felt she could faint, vomit, and cry all at the same time. Did he just… there's no way… but how?

Draco started to get nervous, his palms becoming slightly damp. Way to go, you bloody idiot. He thought to himself. Suddenly, Sienna's hands were on the back of his head. She crushed her lips onto his, without a second thought. He pulled her closer than before, and just held her there. He kissed her with just as much passion as she kissed him. The world faded around them. Draco couldn't think of anything but the two of them. His heart poured everything into the kiss. He loved her.

He loved her.

As they broke away, reluctantly, Sienna stared at Draco's eyes. Tears cascaded down her cheeks, her blue eyes looking like the ocean with waves crashing all around. "I love you too, Draco." She whispered.

Draco let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. He smiled at her weakly. Sienna placed her head on his shoulder as they continued to dance. Draco kissed the top of her head, continuing to sway to the music.

Once the night was over, Sienna parted with Draco for a moment and made her way over to Hermione, who looked incredibly angry. Sienna walked over to Hermione, but stopped when she heard her yelling at Ron.

"He's using you!" Ron shouted.

"How dare you! Besides, I can take care of myself!" Hermione shouted back.

"Doubt it. He's way too old."

"What? Wha - that's what you think?!"

"Yeah, that's what I think!"

"You know the solution then, don't you?"

"Go on." He challenged her.

Sienna held her breath. This won't be good.

Hermione finally lost it. "Next time there's a ball, puck up the courage to ask me before somebody else does, and not as a last resort!"

Sienna watched the two intensely, waiting to intervene if needed. She heard footsteps beside her and looked to see Harry stand next to her. "Oh no." He muttered.

"W-Well, t-that's just completely off the point." Ron noted that Sienna and Harry were standing behind them.

"H-Harry, Sienna." He said.

Hermione spun around and walked swiftly to the pair. She stared intently at Harry. "Where have you been?"

Harry sttutered, "I w-was just-"

Hermione did not give him the time of day. "Nevermind! Off to bed, both of you!" She instructed Harry and Ron. Sienna was thankful not to be in Gryffindor at that moment. Harry looked past Ron and glared at him, walking past Hermione and obeying her orders.

She heard Harry mutter something to Ron before Ron shouted as he walked up the stairs.

"They get scary when they get older!"

Sienna stepped in front of Hermione as she shouted at the boy. Hermione finally exploded. "Ron, you spoiled everything!" She was now openly sobbing in front of many students and professors. Sienna shushed her and held her arms in her hands.

"Nevermind him, Hermione. C'mon." She said to the crying girl, and whisked her away to an empty corridor. Hermione sat herself on a bench and sobbed. Sienna sat next to her, her hand on her friend's. "Don't listen to him. Ron is just jealous of-"

"You don't understand, Sienna! He could've just asked me to begin with!" She shouted, crying even harder.

Sienna smiled sadly at the girl. "I know, Hermione, I know."

"I would've said yes!" She confessed. Sienna knew that too. She saw how Hermione looked at Ron. She noticed how she blushed when Ron sat close to her.

"I know you would've."

"I just don't understand…" Hermione said. She looked at Sienna, her eyes red and puffy. "Viktor is amazing, but Ron…" She trailed off.

Sienna understood instantly.

"I know that feeling all too well."

Hermione gave her a pointed look. "Draco?" She asked.

Sienna nodded. "Boys don't know how to convey their feelings well at this age. Ron is very jealous, and that's not your fault at all, Hermione."

Hermione nodded, "I know." She sighed. "I just wish he asked me sooner. This could've been avoided."

Sienna rubbed Hermione's back as she cried a bit more. They sat there in silence for a few minutes before Hermione settled down. Ginny had come to take her back to the common room.

Hermione stood and began to walk with Ginny, before stopping and looking at Sienna. "Thank you." She stated.

Sienna smiled at her. "Anytime." Ginny smiled too as she led Hermione back to the Gryffindor common room.

Sienna stood there for a moment before hearing a pair of male voices.

She peaked her head around the corner and found Draco and Blaise standing there speaking to one another. She was going to approach them, but stopped once she heard Blaise speak.

"Finally you snogged the Snape girl." He laughed at Draco. Sienna saw as Draco smirked and laughed along with him.

"You know, I did snog her before the Ball too." He stated.

Blaise's eyes turned into ones of a matter of surprise. "So you did win the bet then."

Bet? Sienna's heart stopped. Parkinson said something about a bet…

Draco snickered. "I did, I just like having the element of surprise. Nothing beats your face right now."

Blaise spoke again, "I honestly did not think you had it in you to snog the girl at all. I thought you were losing your Malfoy touch."

Draco gave Blaise a pointed look. "C'mon, do you know me at all, Zabini?"

Sienna's entire body went numb. She couldn't move, breathe, think… she was frozen. No no, she was crushed.

He told her he loved her. He kissed her back. He spent the entire night with her, dancing, laughing. He did all those things this morning with her in the Room of Requirement for Christmas.

There's just no way… Sienna took in an unsettled breath.

Blaise was laughing at the boy, but then stopped once he spotted Sienna over Draco's shoulder. He cleared his throat, and gave Draco a look.

Draco turned and his face went white, his smile dropped. No, she didn't just…

Sienna stared at Draco before turning her heel and marching off to the common room. She felt tears leak from her eyes. Her mascara coated eyelashes were now running down her face.

How could he.. He.. just lie like that to her?

"Sienna!" she heard from behind her. She also heard footsteps run in her direction, but she continued walking back without turning around.

Suddenly, Draco ran in front of her and stopped her in her tracks. "Sienna, please, just list-"

"Move, Malfoy." She stated harshly. Draco saw her make now smeared all over her eyelids.

"Sienna-"

"Move." She said once more, venom dripping from her words.

"You have to let me explain." He said rushed.

Sienna, unable to tolerate his presence any longer, walked around the boy. As she brushed by him, he grabbed her arm, but oh what a mistake that was.

She snatched her arm and looked him directly in the eye. "Do. Not. Touch. Me." She growled at him. Tears continued down her cheeks.

Draco's heart broke right then and there. "Please, Sienna. Listen!" he begged.

"Why? Is that part of your bet too?"

"What? No! T-that was nothing!" He breathed, fighting to keep his calm.

"Oh lovely. I'm glad your bet was just nothing." Her words held no remorse, her mind felt nothing. He broke her. Draco Malfoy finally broke her.

"Sienna, I'm telling the truth! What I said earlier while we were dancing, I meant it. Every single word." He begged her.

She took an unsteady breath once more. "You're lying." She muttered.

"I'm not lying! I love you!" He begged, now shouting at her.

"Oh fuck off! This was all part of your fucking bet with Zabini." She spat at him.

"That was made before we kissed in the Astron-"

"Oh! Point proven!" She shouted back at him.

He was speechless. Shit. He composed himself back together. "Sienna Snape, please. Just look at me."

"Oh, I'm looking at you." She laughed. She was starting to spiral. "I see you for who you truly are, Malfoy. You're nothing but a lying cheat!" She shouted even louder.

"BLOODY HELL WOMAN! LISTEN TO ME!" He screamed.

Sienna couldn't hold back anymore tears. They fell more than they did thirty seconds ago. She wiped them away vigorously, allowing a silent moment between the two.

"Leave me alone, Draco. You've done enough damage." She whispered.

His eyes started to brim with tears. He fucked up, badly.

He watched as Sienna walked past him and down the corridor, only this time, Draco was frozen in his place and did not chase after her.

A/N: Ok… I'm so sorry. I ruined the ending. Please forgive me!
