Donna woke up as the plane prepared to land in Gotham City. She had fallen asleep in her mother's lap. Her mum was gazing out the window with a forlorn expression.

"Mum? Are you all right?"

Diana realized she was up and smiled immediately. "We need to get you belted in. We are about to land."

Donna switched seats with Diana so she could see outside.

"So, this is Gotham City." Donna said.

"Yes. I've never been here." Diana told her.

"It's hideous."

Diana smirked. "Yes, I suppose it is. I'm sorry, Princess. I thought I could become involved in this, stop this before it affected your life. Now I am known and that means you are in danger. I failed you. I swore to myself I would always keep you safe."

"I am safe." Donna told her. "It's okay, Mum. As long as we are together we can manage anything. You did bring your sword, right?"

Diana chuckled. "Yes, Princess, I brought my sword."

"Then we should be okay. Alfred has told me about his home. I am excited to see it."

Diana shook her head but smiled at Donna's optimistic attitude. She had been a fool. She genuinely thought she could keep Donna out of this. It would have been simple. She would wear Asteria's helmet and none of her enemies would know her identity. Now all her enemies knew. They may not know what she was, but they knew she was assisting Zatanna.

Zatanna was another issue. She was shaken at how close Zatanna had come to death. It was only a brief time ago that they met, but Diana was becoming more attached to her every moment of the day. She was a beautiful woman with a kind heart. If not for Bruce's warning, Diana would not have been as on guard. Could she have turned in time to protect Zatanna from those bullets? She wasn't sure of the answer. She could have lost another one she cared for due to unpreparedness and the thought made her nauseous.

After they landed, Alfred had a black SUV waiting for them on the runway. Two bag handlers loaded their bags in another SUV. Diana kept the large steel case holding her weapons and armor herself. It bothered her greatly that she had to leave Asteria's armor behind and rely on Sammy to deliver it. She certainly wasn't letting her armor and weapons out of her sight.

Diana was grateful that there was an appropriately sized booster seat for Donna in the back. She buckled her in and sat next to her while Zatanna rode up front with Alfred driving.

The drive through Gotham City reinforced its bleak appearance from the sky. Wayne Tower rose above the city, but the streets as little as two blocks away from the impressive building were ridden with homeless, prostitutes and drug dealers despite Alfred driving through the less poverty-stricken areas of Gotham City. The sky was drearier than London and smog hung over the streets like dark storm clouds.

"I was harsh in my assessment of Chicago." Diana told Alfred. "What was the city like before Bruce began his campaign?"

"Worse." The man said plainly. "As hard as it is to believe, things have gotten better."

"How could you tell?"

"We aren't being shot at." Alfred told her.

Despite her despondent mood, Diana smiled until she realized he was being serious.

She remained quiet, listening to the quiet chatter between Zatanna and Donna in the back. She knew Zatanna blamed herself for bringing this danger into their lives and was likely shaken by her own recent near-death experience. Diana regretted killing the hitman in front of her. She had become unaffected by the death of her enemies after such a violent life, but Zatanna was a gentle soul.

She was also becoming someone Diana was enjoying being a part of her life. It was a ridiculous idea. Donna was the only one Diana had room in her heart to love. Romantic love meant nothing to her.

The more time that spent together though, the more Diana had come to crave her presence. She had always been attracted to her, but it was becoming more and that worried her. Donna was also becoming attached to her. Diana had thought of speaking to her daughter about the situation and subtly reminding her that Zatanna would be gone from their lives once their business was over.

The problem was Diana wasn't sure that was what she wanted.

Diana's entire life had also been uprooted. Her anonymity was all but gone. Minerva and Cale knew she was involved. When their hitman did not return they might suspect Zatanna defeated him or might suspect Diana was more than she appeared. No matter what they thought of her power, they had to assume Zatanna had told Diana of her problems meaning Diana knew too much.

Diana and Donna Prince had to go away and be reborn somewhere new. That would not be a problem. What would be a problem was their faces. Diana's face was known by a billionaire who had access to facial recognition software. She would never have peace and Donna would never be safe unless they moved to a very out of the way corner of the world. She would also be a target of Minerva, Faust and whoever was in charge of Cale.

She was no longer concerned with breaking Minerva's curse by taking her back to the Congo. She had no interest in simply stopping and imprisoning Faust and finding out why Cale was doing what she was doing. This had become a simple mission.

Kill them all. To protect Donna, they all had to go, including Cale.

Her first instinct was to go to back to England, face Minerva at her mansion, kill her then go after Cale. Once Cale was killed, whoever was pulling her strings would make themselves known and Diana would kill that god as well.

That would leave Faust. Zatanna could find him, and Diana would end him.

She held back though. Not knowing who was pulling Cale's strings before facing it, could be a fatal mistake. She could not protect Donna if she were dead. She needed more information. She needed one of the final objects and to make this cabal bent on world destruction expose themselves to her.

Then she would make her move, kill them all and disappear with Donna. Zatanna may wish to take a break from the road and accompany them.

That was assuming Zatanna would want anything to do with Diana after the bloody path she was about to cut.

Unless she found another way to protect Donna, blood would have to be spilled. There was no way to avoid it.

Donna gasped from the back seat and Diana was snapped from her thoughts. The sun was setting, and they had stopped at the gate, leading up to what must have been Wayne Manor.

The Manor was beautiful. It was lit up in Christmas lights, four metal trees were in front of it, at least a hundred feet high and glowing with enough lights it could be seen by an airliner from the sky. Satna Claus and reindeer were moving above the ground on an invisible track, bright snowmen waved from the front lawn.

"It's beautiful." Diana whispered. "Bruce certainly goes all out for Christmas."

Alfred cleared his throat. "This is the first time we have decorated. I prefer to have contingency plans in place for every mission. I thought if the Manor became a refuge, Miss Donna may warm to it if it were decorated with a bit of holiday cheer. I have had the inside decorated as well but there are Christmas trees I left undecorated for her to enjoy preparing."

Diana felt a lump in her throat, touched by this man's thoughtfulness and kindness.

"Thank you."

"Alfred, its beautiful!" Donna all but shouted from the back.

Alfred smiled warmly. "Only the best for British royalty, my darling girl. Some decorations are needed inside. I thought we could all decorate a few more trees together and hang some lights."

"That would be wonderful! I love your home!"

Alfred chuckled as the pulled to the front and parked. "The Manor can be a lonely place at night and quite frightening. I have had a room prepared for you and Miss Donna. I thought you might prefer to share a bed. I have no doubt of her bravery but waking up alone in such a new and large place may give her pause."

Diana shook her head. "Is there anything you don't think of Alfred?"

Alfred smiled. "It warms my heart. After his parents' death, Master Bruce was a withdrawn child, not prone to holidays or celebrations despite my best efforts. Though I regret the circumstances, I am grateful to see a holiday through the eyes of a child."

The child herself was doing her best to maintain decorum. She always strived to act older than her age and emulate her mother's calm demeanor, yet all she wished to do at that moment was to get out of the car and run across the massive yard, stand next to the massive metal trees and stare directly up at their lights. She wished she could use her mum's phone to call her friends and tell them about this place.

That was a sobering thought. Donna could not use her mum's phone. She asked on the plane and her mum said her, and Zatanna had both left their phones behind, but would acquire new ones in Gotham City.

It was then that Donna knew what her mum was not saying.

They weren't going home. Their old life was gone. Whatever her mum and Zatanna had been doing had gone wrong and now they were hiding. She doubted her mum would hide from anything and knew Zatanna was a real magician so they must be running to protect her.

She thought of asking on the very nice private plane they traveled in, but her mother looked upset, her smiles towards Donna obviously false hoping to lure her into believing everything would be all right.

Mum would have never brought her to a place like Gotham City unless she had no other choice.

Donna would make the best of it. She would pretend this was a temporary situation and go along with her mother's false cheer. She would enjoy herself, enjoy the holidays and make the best of a less than ideal situation.

As surprised as she was by the beauty outside, the inside shocked her in its size and grandeur. From the outside, the Manor looked like a castle and the inside did not disappointment. The foyer had a room attached for only coats it seemed. Another door was across from it and Donna suspected it was a powder room. In front of them was a grand staircase that she found beautiful.

"I will give you and your mum a tour in the morning, but I suspect you are both tired. I have prepared a room for you. If you would follow me I shall take you there so you may rest."

Alfred took a suitcase from Zatanna and a suitcase from Diana and began ascending the stairs. Once on the second, they immediately turned right and entered a huge bedroom. Donna was awed by the size of the room. The bed in the middle was huge, bigger than her room in London. There was a decorated Christmas tree by the window that looked out onto the backyard of the Manor.

Donna saw one door was open to what she suspected was a sitting room and deduced the other might be a bathroom. She resisted the urge to run through the room and jump on the bed. This was as close to a castle as she would ever stay in.

That was unless her mum could ever find a way back to this mysterious island where she was a princess. Since she had learned the truth one of her recurring thoughts involved staying in an Amazon palace where she was treated as royalty. She doubted it would ever happen so she would take this opportunity and soak in every moment.

"A cleaning crew arrives at one PM to change linens and towels. Zatanna's room is across the hall. Most of this floor is bedrooms, but there is a grand terrace that looks out onto the gardens. Breakfast will be served at eight AM and then I can show you the tearoom."

Donna's eyes widened. "You have a room just for drinking tea?"

Alfred grinned and winked at her. "Quite so. It is not used often. Zatanna is one of the rare visitors who comes to the Manor on a regular basis and that is only twice a year. Occasionally we have fundraisers in the grand hall but, the bedrooms are unused. We shall have quite an enjoyable time, Miss Donna."

Donna smiled widely, wondering how she would sleep that night. She had slept on the plane and her sense of time was off. Mum had told her it was jetlag, something Donna had little experience with. Her trips with her mum had so far been in Europe. This was the farthest from home she had ever been. Though Gotham City looked dismal, the drive to the Manor outside the city had been lovely and the Manor was a dream.

"Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Alfred." Her mum said.

"I am only doing my duty." He assured her.

"You are doing much more than your duty." Diana told him. "I don't suppose there is any possibility of you coming with us when this is over to our own new home."

Donna perked up at the idea of Alfred living with them.

"Yes, that would be wonderful! Think of the adventures we could have, Alfred!" she said excitedly.

The man chuckled and looked from Donna to Diana, a wistful smile on his face. "I would love to take the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful girl's life as a guiding influence. However, you, Miss Prince, have no need of me. A girl could not hope for a better guide from childhood to adulthood. Master Bruce does still need me though."

"He is an adult. Surely he has no true need for you to take care of him. Think of the adventures you could have with me and Mum and Zatanna, Alfred!" Donna said quickly.

Diana rubbed patted her back. "Just because someone is an adult, does not mean they do not need help. We all need someone." Her mum told her.

Donna doubted it. Her mum needed no one.

Who would her mum be without her though? Her mum had told her how lonely she had been before Donna came into her life. Her mother had no real friends before Zatanna came into their lives. Would she still be lonely if Donna weren't in her life? She suspected she would be. Her mother was correct as usual. Everyone needed someone. She needed her mother, and her mother needed her.

Donna brushed her teeth beside her mother in the huge bathroom then took a shower under two different streams coming from in front and behind her. She loved the feeling and thought she could play in the shower for hours or swim in the huge bathtub.

The hot water was tiring her out though. She was almost asleep when she stepped out and her mother helped her dress for the night. She fell asleep as soon as her mum pulled her close and her head rested on the pillow.

Diana watched her lovingly, running her fingers through Donna's dark tresses. Unlike Donna, she was not tired. Her mind was going over scenario after scenario, trying to find a way out of this. She had to stop whatever god was behind this from getting the amulet. She had to find a way to stop Cale from using Donna to get to her. They would have to disappear but changing identities and living in a small coastal village may not be enough. How far did Cale's facial recognition go? How far was her reach?

Would she really have to kill them all to ensure that Donna was safe? The thought made her stomach queasy. Diana did not enjoy killing but would not hesitate to do what needed to be done. The assassin she had killed would always come after her or Zatanna. The moment he shot Diana several times and saw it had no effect on her beside a stinging sensation, he knew too much and had ensured his own death.

That thought led her to Zatanna. What did the mystic think of her now? She had seen Diana kill monsters in the Congo in self-defense but now she had seen her murder someone. It was a justified killing in her mind, but she had no idea how Zatanna felt. The mage had gotten rid of the body fast enough but was it because she understood or because she wanted to rid of the evidence of Diana's violence as quickly as possible?

She listened across the hall and heard Zatanna walking around her bedroom.

Diana took a deep breath, covered herself in a robe and walked across the hall into Zatanna's room. She knocked gently and heard Zatanna rush to the door.

She opened the door in a black silk robe that took Diana's breath away for a moment. It was not a short robe but the sight of it enhanced her beauty.

Diana noted her eyes were red from crying.

"May I come in?"

Zatanna nodded and stepped aside. Diana walked inside and turned towards the woman. Zatanna took her hand and walked with her to the sitting room attached to the bedroom. They had seats across from each other.

"I'm so sorry, Diana." She said, sniffling and wiping her eyes.

Diana was taken back by her apology.

"You have nothing to apologize for."

"I brought you into this! You and Donna were doing so well. I should have never become involved in your life. I should have found a way to beat her on my own! Now look at where we are at. Cale knows you are involved with me. If Cale knows so does Minerva and Faust! When they can't get to you they will try to get to you through Donna. We are hiding, you can't go back to your home, Donna can't go back to school. This is all my fault."

Diana knelt in front of her and took her hand.

"Stop this. None of this is your fault. You reminded me when we met that my daughter was a part of this world. I could not sit by while powerful forces attempted to destroy it. You didn't force me into this. You were trying to save the world and you did what was necessary to do so. I knew the risks."

Zatanna met her eyes. "Did you? What if they had gotten Donna? I know you would never risk her, not even for the world."

Diana nodded. "I also knew Alfred would protect her. I admittedly did not expect my identity to be discovered but it happened. Do not blame yourself. This is the life we were chosen to lead. This will end, Zatanna. We will win and then move on with our lives."

Zatanna took a deep breath. "Yes, we will move on with our lives. I will go back on the road, making a living peddling magic while pretending it's not real and you and Donna will go to a European coastal village, and we will never see each other again."

Diana stood up and pulled Zatanna's hand gently as she rose, lifting the sorceress with her.

"It doesn't have to be that way."

Zatanna looked at her with a hopeful glint in her eye. "It doesn't?"

Diana shook her head. "Not unless you want it to be. I told you once that I had regrets in my life. There are things I never said, because I kept my heart walled off to others. At least I tried. I don't want you to be a regret. I don't want you to be one of those I walled off, that I regret never saying the things I wanted to say."

"You don't?"

Diana caressed her cheek softly with the palm of her hand. Zatanna didn't move away, instead leaning into her palm.

"May I kiss you?" Diana asked.

Zatanna closed her eyes and nodded.

Diana moved in and their lips touched gently then more firmly. They pulled back after a few moments, both their eyes wide.

"Wow." Zatanna whispered.

Diana nodded.

"I am sorry for what I did in front of you."

Zatanna didn't have to ask what she meant. "You did what you had to do. You did what was necessary. I'm not bothered by it, Diana. I know you aren't a mindless killer. You are too good. You only do what is necessary."

"When this is over, we will talk more in depth. If you still want it, you will always have a place in my life, Zatanna."

Zatanna smiled and nodded. "I think I might be able to sleep now. Thank you, Diana."

Diana kissed her once more then left the room.

Before she stepped back into her own, she heard the front door open downstairs.

Diana walked downstairs slowly. She had an idea of who was there. An enemy would not likely come through the front door, and she only heard one set of footsteps.

"Hello, Bruce." she greeted him when she reached the door.

He smiled but looked exhausted. "Diana. I am glad to meet you in person, though I wish the circumstances were different. You saved Zatanna's life because I didn't realize it was in danger soon enough. I am forever in your debt."

"No debt is owed, Bruce. Not even gods are all knowing. You gave us warning. Had it not been for you I would not have been alert and able to save her. You did what you could do."

He nodded and without a word began walking. She followed him to a small library, and he had a seat after she had taken one.

"I have a guy who is following Cale discreetly. What did you learn from the killer? Was he a contract killer or one of her lackies?"

"He was a former contract killer hired by Cale to work with Minerva in stealing the objects. He had been waiting outside my home to kill Zatanna when she was alone. When he realized she wouldn't be leaving, he was given orders to kill both of us."

Bruce winced. "So, Cale knows of your involvement. I am going to assume the lacky is no longer with us, but it is too late. Whether Cale believes Zatanna killed him or not, you have disappeared, so she knows you are involved. She doesn't know how powerful you are."

"Not yet." Diana told him in a neutral tone.

Bruce caught the meaning behind her words. Diana had no plans to hold back. Trying to kill Zatanna had been a declaration of war in Diana's mind. Had this happened before Diana's Africa trip, he doubted that trip would have happened.

"It is still possible to capture and save Minerva." He reminded her futilely.

"Minerva voluntarily chose to find the village and talked her way into receiving the Cheetah spirit. She ate the remainder of her expedition. Cale told her where to find them. Minerva knew exactly what she was looking for."

"Cale may be under duress. You said yourself that a god is likely in charge and her daughter is in a vulnerable position. You of all people know what a mother would do for her daughter."

Diana snorted. "I suppose you think I should let her be and look over my shoulder the rest of my life, hoping she doesn't use Donna to get to me."

Bruce shook his head. "Cale is mortal, and Minerva can be. Zatanna can them forget your identity. Zatanna can imprison Faust."

Diana leaned back and took him in, as best as possible in the dimly lit room. "For one so dark, you treasure life, even the lives of killers who would end other's life. Why is that, Bruce? Why are the lives of killers so important to you?"

"Everyone deserves a second chance."

"When you have known as many Nazis as I have, you would understand how wrong you are. I have done my research. You have been crusading for almost five years. How many chances have you given the Joker in the past five years? How many of those opportunities to change has he taken to kill others? Do the voices of the innocent victims haunt you at night?"

Bruce nodded. "I hear their screams at night. I hear the clown laughing, taunting, reveling in his cruelty. Despite that, I will not kill. I will not become a monster like those I fight. I can't, or everything I have done is for nothing. Once I kill, once I step across that line, it is over for me. I will never be the same. I will be the monster that most of Gotham believes me to be."

Diana sighed, slightly understanding him. "You are a good man to have in a fight, but a poor ally in a war. We need to decide what we are facing. Is this a fight or a war? I am afraid I only have experience fighting wars."

"You were willing to try and save Minerva." He remined her.

"That was before my daughter's life was in danger. Even if I rid her of the curse, she will be angry. She is still a dangerous woman with money and means. Do you believe she can be locked away? Are you willing to take off that hood and testify in court what you have seen? Would anyone believe you? There is no legal way this ends. There is no prison, no court of law, no asylum. There is no justice for those who followed her to their deaths in that jungle as tools for her to become a monster." Diana pointed out. "You have no way of knowing if Cale and Minerva's memories ever come back even if Zatanna erased them. According to Zatanna, her father had defeated Faust many times and imprisoned him, yet here we are, dealing with him once again."

Bruce remained quiet, his eyes never looking away from her. He stood and poured a drink from the bar, then offered her one.

Diana refused. "I fear it would be a waste of good alcohol. I have an extraordinarily strong metabolism."

Bruce had a seat and laughed quietly. "That must have been tough growing up."

"I didn't come into my full powers until just before I left Themyscira to fight Ares. For most of my life, I was just another Amazon. Something triggered the power inside me. Perhaps it was age, or Ares's actions in the world of men, or just fate. It first happened when I was sparring with my aunt, and I panicked thinking myself ot be a freak. I did not discover my true power until I fought Ares. To be honest, I am still discovering my powers."

Bruce had suspected as much. He didn't need to have Zatanna's nose for magic to feel the power radiating from her.

"I hope we can come to some agreement on how to deal with our defeated foes when the time comes."

Diana smirked. "We shall see. You sent Zatanna to me because you needed a warrior to stop Minerva. You cannot defeat her with sonic devices and gas grenades forever and you certainly can't kill a god. You needed me. I didn't become involved on the agreement that I would take orders from you. I came to take care of a threat to this world I was made aware of. I do not enjoy taking life, but I will if it means saving innocents. I am an Amazon, the daughter of Zeus and the greatest warrior in all of history. I am called the Godkiller. Killing in war is necessary. I fight to end wars. That means I have killed and will continue when necessary to end a war. Good night, Bruce. We will talk more tomorrow."

Diana rose and began walking out of the room before he asked a question that stopped her.

"Do you love Zatanna?"

Diana turned to face him once again. "Does that pertain to our situation?"

Bruce shrugged. "I owe much to her father. He taught me many skills that have saved my life over the years. Alfred tells me she is falling in love with you, and he is very perceptive. I don't want to see her hurt."

Diana shook her head. "I am not in the habitat of discussing emotions with others. I will just say that I won't hurt her. Everything else is between the two of us and none of your concern. You don't strike me as a man who speaks of his emotions often so I am sure you can understand."

Bruce nodded. "I do. I just don't want out mission compromised. If there are other elements in play I want to know.

"Worry about yourself, Bruce. I'll worry about Zatanna. You may owe her father, but you aren't her father. Good night to you."

"You as well, Diana."

Diana finally made it to bed and curled under the cover. Donna instinctively rolled closely into her as soon as she felt her mother near

Diana took comfort in her warmth while her mind remained on the brunette magician across the hall. She should have been focused on so many different things but right now all she thought of was that kiss. She eventually managed to calm herself enough to fall asleep. She needed her rest. She had a feeling the next few days were going to be eventful.

Washington D.C. Cale-Anderson Pharmaceuticals headquarters

"What do you mean he disappeared, Barbara? He's a professional. Professionals do not disappear. He is just laying low after the job. He knew the risks, and no doubt took Zatanna out before she could try any of her magic tricks. Diana Prince is also likely dead, and he is staying low to avoid the heat." Cale reasoned.

"Staying low? How is staying in London, staying low. His cell phone signal is gone. He hasn't checked in. There are no news reports of an American or Diana Prince being killed. He is dead." Minerva argued.

Cale suspected the same but did not want Minerva panicking. She had no idea how close Minerva was to Constantine.

"Zatanna doesn't have it in her to kill. Even if she had a chance, she would incapacitate. The girl is powerful, but she isn't a killer. Faust said so himself. You have looked her in the eyes. Is she a killer?"

Minerva snorted. "Of course not, but what of the enigmatic Diana Prince?"

"Everything I have found shows her to be what she appears to be. A thirty-year-old antiquity and restoration expert, educated at Oxford, well respected in her field, mother to an eight-year-old daughter. There is no father listed on the birth certificate. The girl was the result of a one-night stand most likely. Her parents are deceased, died in a car crash. They were high school history teachers in London. If she isn't who she says she is, the woman has done an amazing job of building a background for herself."

Minerva sighed. "If she is as normal as you claim why did Zatanna go to her of all people? Why did she have a hotel room under an assumed name yet spent most of her time at Diana Prince's residence? I am going to her residence and getting answers. If she has a child, then she has much to lose and will tell me everything I want to know."

Cale cringed at the idea of a child, a daughter being threatened. "You will not! Stay exactly where you are, keep Faust happy and be prepared for our next move. If Zatanna did manage to kill Drakon, the fool got what he deserved. She will be on the run now with Diana Prince. Stay the course, Minerva. That is an order."

Barbara growled into the phone, sounding more animal than human. "The next time I see Diana Prince I will eat her heart."

"I have no doubt but until them, follow orders."

Cale ended the call and sat back in her chair, looking at the twins seated in front of her desk.

"I had a man check Prince's flat. The whole place is empty. Everything is gone but the furniture. She did more than pack a suitcase and run. Zatanna's hotel room is emptied as well. We have found nothing that could give us a clue to where they might be going." Cale said.

One of the twins huffed. "It doesn't matter. Zatanna will reveal herself eventually. She will attempt to stop us from obtaining the two remaining objects and your monster will have her chance to kill her then."

Cale doubted it but said nothing. Her monster had its chance and failed, twice. Zatanna was not the weak child Cale thought she might. Faust had called her powerful but untested in battle, no more than a nuisance. Yet the girl was still alive, and Constantine Drakon was likely dead.

Then there was the Diana Prince problem. Cale had checked her background as she told Minerva. Nothing was of note about the woman. She was beautiful and smart but that did not cry out she was special.

Yet Zatanna had gone to her, and Cale doubted it was just for a place to hide. Zatanna and Diana Prince had no reason to cross paths in their lives.

"Is Diana Prince…could she be the other god you spoke of? Could she be the Godkiller?"

The twins scoffed. "A ridiculous idea. Only two goddesses could be considered warriors, Hera, and Artemis. The rest of the goddesses were weak as were the demigoddesses. Our father killed Hera and Artemis. No other woman would have had a chance. The Godkiller would be a demigod on our level of power and our father's. No woman could have killed our father, the god of war."

Cale managed not to roll her eyes. She shouldn't have been surprised that the twin sons of the god of war would have low opinions of women. She doubted feminism had reached Olympus or wherever they lived.

"I suppose you are right." she told them, placating their egos.

Cale was not convinced though. Diana Prince had no place in this story, yet she was there. She was a wild card who needed to be found and taken off the board. Cale had a feeling she was the most dangerous piece on the board despite what the sons of Ares believed.
