Author's Notes: Just so you know, I'm using the normal Hellsing brand, not the Abridged version. While the Abridged is hilarious, I'm sticking to the normal Hellsing since that just seems more appropriate. I can't have Alucard sexually harassing teenagers, for instance. There'll still be a reference to the Abridged here and there, like how Alucard tilted all Deku's All Might posters. Aquelieos asked why I didn't choose to use Alucard's female form. I could tell you that I didn't want anyone shipping Alucard with Deku, or that I didn't find it appealing. Truth is, it just didn't occur to me. I was aware of it but for some reason the thought of using it that way just didn't come up. Maybe I'll write it in at some point. More as a reference than anything else. Thanks for pointing that out. Now please, enjoy.

"Alucard." Integra whispered into the telephone.
The principal of U.A. had only just departed from her residence, leaving Sir Integra Wingates Hellsing alone in her dining hall. The little white creature had brought her one of the most tantalizing proposals she's heard in a long time. Deploying him as a deterrent? Enrolling him in his own academic establishment? The idea sounded so absurd that Integra simply couldn't help but get caught up in it. Her telephone, which was never far from her side, was placed near her on the tabletop. There was no doubt that he had eavesdropped on their discussion, but she still had to call him to finalize the decision.
For a moment, she heard nothing but static through the receiver. Then, as quiet as it was menacing, a silky smooth voice whispered into her ear. "Yes?"
"Did you catch everything our dear Mr. Principal said?" Asked Integra.
"Naturally." Alucard wistfully replied. A small smirk appeared on her lips. She'd learned never to doubt his abilities. He'd probably been listening through the walls.
"And your verdict?"
From her end, Integra could hear Alucard chuckle. "These vermin are no vampires. They're not even worth turning into ghouls. But-" Alucard paused, "An organization devoted to spreading chaos and despair purely for their own self-satisfaction." Alucard laughed softly.
"Where have I heard that before?" He said in a faint whisper.
Integra smiled, remimiscing over that age-old incident. Several decades had passed since then and yet Alucard still remembered it fondly. Then again, for one as long-lived as Alucard, a few decades is akin to a few weeks. "So, you'll accept his proposal?"
"At your behest, my master." Code for yes, he will. Alucard may be fiercely loyal to Integra and the Hellsing bloodline, but that doesn't stop him from voicing his discontent with certain assignments. He's never outright refused an order, but if he finds a particular proposal dull, he'll express it quite openly.
"Alucard, take heed. Here are your orders." Integra began, with her signature dramatic pause. "Your silver gun shall stain the filth that lies in Japan crimson. Your iron gun shall stain their heroes scarlet. I would know my foes by the stains of red you leave upon their chests. Descend upon them with the fires of hell! Leave none alive!"
Calmly, Alucard breathed "My master. It shall be done…as you command."

Usually, the cabin in this private jet of his was rowdy with chit chat. Under normal circumstances, Nezu would be comfortably discussing casual topics with his bodyguards. The atmosphere would be filled with them bickering over how much some of them wanted to talk on the job, and Nezu informing them that there were good times and bad times for that. Though skilled, Nezu had handpicked these men to act both as bodyguards as well as travel companions. This time however, he'd told them to go to another room. This was to be a private discussion. Not even they were allowed to listen in on what he meant to say to this man. Some of them were uncertain about his decision, citing how dangerous the individual in question felt. But he refused to back down, responding that one couldn't gain respect by being mollycoddled all the time. Nezu was aware that he tended to drag on about his furry appearance when given the chance, but that didn't stop him from doing it.
But today, the cabin was silent. Everyone from Nezu's escorts to Nezu himself felt awkward.
No, that wasn't the right word.
They felt overwhelmed. Overwhelmed by the daunting presence of the one Nezu had been hoping would join them on their flight back to Japan.
He had been absolutely overjoyed when Sir Hellsing notified him that her agent had accepted his request. How comforting to know that such a capable individual would be stationed in U.A. There was just…one issue. Nezu had dealt with countless villains in the past. Murderers, maniacs, and psychopaths whose victims numbered in the tens of hundreds. In other words, he was used to confronting nut jobs, no matter how intimidating they may be. He thought himself prepared for this man, but unfortunately he was horribly wrong.
"You're quiet." The object of his dread addressed him eloquently. To an outsider, the man dressed in a red trenchcoat would appear quite elegant. Almost regal, even. Sitting there in his plane seat, legs crossed, twirling a glass of fine red wine. Despite this being Nezu's personal jet plane, the man sitting in front of him looked like the more natural owner.
"You…You're just taller than I expected." Nezu squeaked, trying desperately to swallow the knot in his throat. And he thought Sir Integra was unnerving. This "Alucard" was downright terrifying!
Alucard put no effort in concealing his amusement. "What did you expect?" He snickered.
"Even his laugh is menacing." Thought Nezu. He'd had doubts about his hunch at first, but now that he was face to face with him, he had no doubt that this was the being whose horrific eyes had galled him the night before.
He cleared his throat before answering. "Ahem… The government records I collected prior to now described to you as a young girl. A school girl with long black hair, deep red eyes, and a frail constitution."
Twiddling his fingers, Alucard grinned at Nezu's frightened behavior and hushed tone. Nezu certainly saw the red eyes and black hair, hair currently hidden underneath a gargantuan red fedora. Over his eyes, Alucard had donned a pair of circular, wire-framed glasses.
"I am a being of many faces, Mr. Principal." Alucard coolly replied as he took a long, drawn-out sip of wine.
"I certainly hope so. You'll need a new face for the role you'll be playing." Nezu grasped his own glass and took a brief sip to calm his nerves. "On that note, I'd like to thank you for accepting my request."
"Hardly, Mr. Principal. It is not I, but my dear master, who deserves your thanks for authorizing this little operation of yours." A genuine smile appeared on Alucard's lips, lifting Nezu's spirits and encouraging him to extend their discussion.
"I'd like to elaborate on the intricacies of your assignment, if you wouldn't mind." Nezu asked.
Alucard gestured with his free hand. "You may."
"As I'm sure you're already aware, Japan's current social order and stability was born through All Might's strength. It was he who overthrew the crime lord All For One and established the peaceful order we have today. However, it was during his fight with said crime lord that he suffered a terrible blow. Ever since then, his legendary powers have grown weaker by the day. I fear inaction may spur All For One loyalist's to rebuild their criminal organization and launch an all out attack. And with All Might's injury, I fear that even with the help of our heroes, he may not be able to throw them back. Not long ago, All Might-"
"This 'pillar' of yours spared All For One, didn't he?" Alucard stopped Nezu just as he was getting into the zone. Dragged down from his talkative heights, the tumble back into reality shook Nezu's mindset.
"Yes…I suppose he did." Nezu muttered, "But not in the fashion you might have imagined."
"Oh?" He mumbled. A thin layer of contempt had glistened in Alucard's pupils just before Nezu had spoken. But he suddenly drew it back after hearing him. Perhaps there was more to this All Might than he'd anticipated.
Underneath the tabletop, Nezu was wringing his fingers together as he recalled old, painful memories. "The circumstances surrounding All For One's escape are…sensitive, and hold little relevance to your mission. Please, I'll tell you all you want to know later down the line, but right now I'd like to discuss other things."
Alucard's expression didn't change as he nodded in agreement. He was willing to wait for something like this. A pox mark on an otherwise upstanding individual. That sounded interesting. He waved his fingers at Nezu, urging him to continue.
"Ahem…As I was saying. Our society was born with the goal of building a lasting peace. Order without bloodshed. And while I understand if you find that restrictive, I doubt you'll have to confront it at all. As I'm sure you're aware, your role is to be a safeguard against the worst-case scenario. If our worst fears come true, we will need you to act as our final solution." As Nezu spoke, Alucard's stared blankly back at him. He wasn't bored, but it was clear he found his role displeasing, to say the least. Nezu had already discerned that Alucard was the farthest from merciful as one can get.
"We can't have a massacre." Nezu emphasized. "Killing villains, no matter how despicable they are, is not how we work. Unless the worst comes to bear, I ask that you stick to the background and help where you can."
Alucard remained silent throughout all of this. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, a menacing grin appeared on his lips. This time, the smile didn't completely alter the atmosphere like the last few. In fact, his smile was almost…derisory.
"How…adorable…" His voice was slow as he spoke. It wasn't only Nezu who he addressed, however, as it seemed Alucard has modified his voice. It now echoed inside the cabin, carrying with it a far greater weight than before.
"What do you mean?" Nezu struggled to answer. He could feel himself being pushed further back into his seat, either unconsciously by his own body or by the sheer presence of Alucard.
"Do you seriously intend on changing society through kind speeches and such meek aspirations?" From the way Alucard said it, the question almost seemed rhetorical.
"That is… the only path to a happy society…" Nezu steeled his resolve as he confronted this monstrous being, doing his best to remain upright in his chair. His paws were sweating. He couldn't even feel mad at how contemptuously Alucard treated All Might's code of ethics. His eyes… It was those eyes of his again. Staring into them, Nezu could almost see the thousands of battles Alucard had lived through. A long-abandoned battlefield. Fields of corpses soaked in an ocean of blood, steeped in the ghosts of the fallen, all wailing out for salvation.
"Mindless…massacre…cannot create…a good society!" Nezu squeaked.
After he shouted that, the battlefield slowly disappeared along with Alucard's smirk. Gasping for breath, Nezu looks back at Alucard to find him completely different. Not a new person, but an Alucard with a different atmosphere. A youthful man in his mid-twenties, with fair skin and a striking pose. That was Alucard in his current form. Yet looking at him now, Nezu could make out the gut-wrenching nostalgia held within his gaze, and the methodical way he made each and every one of his casual movements. As if each motion was made with the most delicate of intent. It was this view that made Nezu realize how old Alucard truly was.
"There is no such thing as a happy society." Alucard whispered.
For a brief moment, neither of them spoke. The cabin was empty save for the two of them, and that only contributed to the thickening atmosphere.
Alucard was the one to lean away now, staring out through the window. "Forgive me if I've offended you." He said, resting his chin on the palm of his hand.
"No no, you needn't apologize. Your objections are wholly justified. I understand how one may find our methods impractical, but that simply means we must work that much harder to make it work."
A silent calm settled over them. Now that he'd settled down, the tiny white mammalian creature was earnestly fascinated by Alucard. A man who had lived for multiple centuries now sat before him. Imagine the insights he could provide for their heroes and students at U.A. Nezu now felt that the mood was right for him to proceed.
"All Might has recently chosen a successor, and has already passed his Quirk, 'One For All', down to this boy." Nezu took out a photograph and slid it across the table for Alucard to examine. "His name is Izuku Midoriya, a first year student at U.A. All Might himself has been brought on as a teacher, although in reality he's there to keep an eye on the young Midoriya."
Alucard said nothing in response. He was busy judging Izuku and trying to glean the boy's personality from the picture.
"Your stated purpose at U.A. is to act as a safeguard against All For One's master plan, which he is no doubt building. However, I'd also like to tack on one more job." Nezu gestured towards the picture and Alucard gently handed it back to him. Nezu then pointed one finger at the photo. "How would you like to help…temper…this young man?"
The elderly man disappeared and was replaced by the brash young persona. Like Sir Integra's the night before, Alucard's expression turned to shock before he leaned back and cackled. Once again, Nezu had surprised them with his outrageous suggestions.
"And what would I have to teach the future pillar of your society?" Alucard wondered aloud, his eyes narrowed with glee. That sinking feeling from before returned for Nezu as Alucard's expression grew more reptilian. The tiny mouse squeaked softly, rocking himself in his chair to jostle the goosebumps out of his system.
"With your years, you surely have experience with brash young teenagers like Midoriya. He needs…" Nezu paused mid-thought, knocking his two balled paws together. "Guidance. More guidance than All Might can provide, I feel. All Might is talented in all ways except when it comes to being a teacher. Worst of all, the young Midoriya takes greatly after him. They share many traits, not all of them good. Acting without any sense of self-preservation. Every time he uses One For All, he breaks several bones."
Nezu rested his forehead on his hands in worry. He was still hesitant to permit any sort of interaction between a bloodstained immortal mercenary and the bright-eyed future protector of Japan.
"He lacks restraint." Nezu looked back up at Alucard, incredulous as to who he was addressing.
"This boy. To him, these powers are a means to an end. It was his heart that earned him the trust of your pillar. But ultimately, it is his heart that will earn him a painful demise."
Not waiting for an answer, Alucard finished his glass and placed the empty goblet onto the automated waiter's plate.
"How far shall I guide him?" Alucard asked.
If he had a dollar for each time he had to clear his throat in this man's presence, Nezu would be the richest man in Japan. As he did it once more, Nezu ran through all his mental exercises to deal with stress.
"All Might is still to be his true teacher, Alucard. But I would appreciate if you helped moderate his more extreme tendencies."
Alucard gently smiled. "Like breaking his bones with every attack?"
"Like breaking his bones with every attack." Nezu concurred, happy that Alucard's mood seemed to be mellowing.
The pleasant scent of Romanee-Conti 1945 filled the air as the automated waiter returned with a new bottle. Both passengers waited patiently for their drinks to be refilled before carrying on with their conversation.
"Why as a student?" Alucard inquired, swirling his new glass. "Why not bring me on as a staff member?"
"As a student, it'll be easier for you to avoid public scrutiny. Also, it'll be easier for you to befriend the young Midoriya." Nezu explained. And although he didn't mention it, Nezu also hoped to avoid placing Alucard in a spot where he'd regularly interact with U.A.'s heroes. Heroes like Eraserhead and All Might especially might eventually pick up on the deception.
Nezu then asked that Alucard take on the form of a young male, since it seemed Izuku Midoriya found communicating with women to be quite a conundrum.
"He's been blessed with a loving mother, though cursed with an abused school childhood, so he finds socializing with strangers difficult." Nezu added before sliding a new photo across the table. This one of a humble apartment complex.
"You'll be given a room at the same apartment building where the Midoriya family currently resides. You'll have access to a communication device through which both Hellsing and U.A. can contact you, and vice versa."
"And how would you like me to conceal my coffin?" Alucard asked, a devilish grin on his face.
Nezu, unaware of such a detail, recoiled slightly at first. Did he plan to die there, he wondered? Alucard signaled to Nezu that there was nothing to worry about. He explained to the worried principal that his coffin was simply where he rests during the daytime, though he was perfectly capable of operating whenever necessary.
"Perhaps just as a normal bed." Nezu replied, still unconvinced. Alucard lowered his chin respectfully.
"No matter how much I analyze him, there's always something new to surprise me." Thought Nezu.
Unbothered by the constant reminders that Alucard was an all-powerful vampire, Nezu proceeded with the mission statement. "Anyways. The background you've been given is that of a European transfer student. You grew up in a wealthy household where you were given a rich education and taught how to carry yourself like a proper gentleman. One day, your Quirk suddenly manifested, and your family helped you handle its effects. The details of this Quirk of yours are all up to you. After you reached a certain age, you heard about U.A. and requested that you be allowed to go there to learn alongside others like yourself."
Resting one finger on his lips, Alucard took a moment to digest everything Nezu had just said. "You said the details of my Quirk are up to me?" Alucard asked.
Nezu nodded. "Yes. Though I would suggest that you take some of the more versatile aspects of your powers and rely on those, at least when in view of others."
Nezu watched as Alucard leaned back in his seat, seemingly in deep contemplation. "It can't be an easy task." Nezu wondered. After all, when one has such a wide array of abilities it makes selecting just one of them a hassle.
Taking one final sip from his wineglass, Alucard sighed contentedly. "And the name? What am I to call myself?"
Nezu smirks. "I'm sure you have one somewhere in your decades of experience."
Tilting back in thought, Alucard's eyes turned hazy as he considered all those he has met during his time on earth. Everyone from his days spent as a human to his defeat at the hands of Abraham Van Hellsing to now. During his centuries spent roaming the mortal plane, Alucard had met numerous individuals of significance. The first human to earn his respect, Abraham Van Hellsing. His dear master, Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing. The Vatican priest, Alexander Anderson.
"Forgive me, old friend." Thought Alucard. "But I have need of your name."
0.0
"-Alexander Anderson, though you may call me Alex."
"So that's what his name is..." Thought Izuku. From where he sat, Izuku had a good view of his classmate's reactions to the transfer student. In particular, Ashido had already started pestering the poor boy with questions.
"Hey! Where'd you grow up? You look rich, are you rich? What's your Quirk? Why do you look so much like Todoroki?!" All that and more was asked to Alexander. Aizawa-sensei threw her multiple piercing glares, but none of it was enough to dissuade her. In response to all this, Alexander simply nods quietly. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it at all, though perhaps that's just a front. It isn't until Tsuyu and Kaminari put a plug on Ashido's questions that the other students in class 1-A manage to get a word in.
Izuku wanted to ask some questions himself but decided to wait and let the others have their chance.
Iida stepped up first, standing straight up from his desk and addressing Aizawa-sensei directly. "Sensei!" He shouted, though by now it was accepted that's just how he is. "While I am ecstatic to see a new student join our class, I must ask why we were not informed of this at an earlier date?"
"Good question, Iida." Aizawa responded, answer muffled slightly by the bandages around his mouth. "The reason is there was a whole lot of paperwork involved. Other schools wanted a piece of him, but he kept pushing for us."
"He must be really talented if schools outside U.A. were trying to get him." Izuku pondered, unaware that he'd already grabbed his textbook and started jotting down everything he was hearing.
"I've heard so many good things about U.A. Why wouldn't I want to learn here?" Alex-san added.
"Yeah. He was basically in purgatory for a while. But now that's over and done with, so we can move on." Aizawa-sensei said, finishing his sentence for him.
Class 1-A erupted with more questions, Ashido bursting free from Tsuyu's grip and unleashing another spree, but Aizawa immediately shushed them all before it got out of control.
"Quiet down. You can ask him all the questions you want after class." Aizawa motioned with his hands before gesturing towards Alex. "Oi. Take the seat in the back. We don't have a proper desk for you thanks to the transfer taking so long, so you'll have to make do with that chair for now."
"Oh, so that's why there was an extra seat today." Izuku realized, watching as Alex-san gave a dignified bow and began to make his way to his seat. On his way there, the transfer student gave Izuku a cheeky grin as he walked past.
"MMMMMMPPHH!" Ashido gave an audible mumble as he sauntered past her. She seriously wanted to ask more questions but couldn't with Tsuyu having regained control of her mouth. At least Asui isn't using her tongue, Izuku thought to himself. Not only would that be unsanitary, but it would just be unpleasant for everyone in the room. In his opinion, at least. He was yet to feel Asui's tongue, but he had no intention to.
From the corner of his eye, Izuku noticed Kacchan giving Alex-san an intense scowl as he walked past. With his back turned to him, Izuku couldn't tell what kind of expression he was wearing. It wasn't anything good, as Bakugo noticed him staring and growls. He sheepishly shrank away but looked back up to find Alexander had just placed his hand on his shoulder. He was giving him a reassuring smile, firmly shaking Izuku out of his rut. He was happy to know that Alex-san remembered him. His striking red eyes seemed to burn with a fiery determination and confidence that Izuku felt he lacked. The room grew quiet as everyone stared at their interaction. Bakugo especially grew only angrier at what had transpired.
*BUMP*
Aizawa-sensei lightly pounded his desk, regaining everyone's attention. Izuku turned to face him, but immediately whirled back around to ask Alex what he was doing. But by then it was too late, as he'd already resumed his march to his seat.
"Alright, let's get back to it." Aizawa-sensei removed his phone from his pocket and with a loud *BEEP*, several glass containers emerged from the wall to his left.
"As I was saying, today's a special class. Anderson, you'll have to get the details from everyone else on our way there. Don't worry, you can use this as an opportunity to get to know your classmates." Aizawa glared at Alex while addressing him, though he seemed unfazed by sensei's signature scowl.
Turning away from him, sensei proceeded with his explanation. "It's up to each of you whether or not you wear your costumes, as some of them are ill-suited for this sort of activity." A light churning noise was emitted by the containers as lights turned on, illuminating the numbers on each costume case held inside it. "The training site is a bit remote, so we'll be going by bus."
Aizawa-sensei returned his phone to his pocket and sat back down in his chair. "That's all. Get ready."
"Alex-san must feel so lucky, getting to do rescue training on his very first day!" Izuku thought, hoping that he was as pumped for class as he was. If he went so far to convince his family to let him attend U.A., then surely he's as big a fan of heroes as himself.
In his mind, images of All Might's debut emerge. How he came out of nowhere and saved several innocent civilians from a horrible crash. Now it was finally his turn to get a taste of that. To prove himself as the successor to All Might, and of One For All!
"Rescue training…" Izuku sits straight resolutely, pumping his fist in front of himself. "This'll help me become the great hero I know I can be! I'll do my best!"

From the boy's nostrils, two intense plumes of steam came barreling out. From what he's seen thus far, this "Izuku Midoriya" is nothing special. Soft-spoken and awkward, he showed no signs of whatever it was that had made All Might notice him. And what does that say about All Might's sense of judgement?
Less than an hour into his first class and Alucard hadn't been impressed by what he'd seen. These children were far too playful- too lively to combat villains. The hot-blooded one was liable to be coerced into joining the villains, so he was one to watch out for. The austere boy, the class president currently dictating their seating order, was far too inexperienced to act so rigid. The horned girl lacked restraint, and the one with the ponytail seems far too sheltered.
Perhaps he was just being unfair. After all, he'd only just met them, and they were just teenagers. Unlike him, they are human. Capable of change, be it for better or worse. Izuku Midoriya showed signs of resilience earlier on. The misplaced toothbrush and tilted posters were no mere coincidence. They were meant to be a test of his adaptability and quick-thinking skills. Of course, the reality was that he just wanted to mess with the boy but that made for a good excuse either way.
To his knowledge, the only individuals cognizant of his true identity are the principal and select government officials close to him. Before departing, Nezu had told him that staff members would be filled in at a later date. But for now, he is to operate under the assumption that no one knows who he is, and that no one is allowed to know.
His "teacher", a man by the name of Shota Aizawa, possesses a pair of permanently narrowed eyelids that seem to pierce through every surface. Were it not for his experience with such people, Alucard may have mistakenly believed his cover to be broken.
"Hmm? You wore your gym clothes, Deku? Where's your costume?" Not far in front of Alucard, a girl with bright pink hair is speaking to Izuku. Her name, if Alucard read the list right, is Ochaco Uraraka.
Izuku nervously giggled in response. "It didn't make it through battle training in one piece…"
One piece? Was the boy so foolhardy that he allowed himself to be caught during his first class? It's clear to Alucard that, though Nezu asked him to act as a secondary teacher, this boy requires far harsher lessons than whatever All Might has to offer. In his own case, Alucard has neglected to change outfits. For the moment, his "hero" costume is still in the process of being made. So for today's class, he'll be donning the normal student uniform.
"The school's support company is repairing it. Just gotta wait for now." Izuku replies, rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment. "Bought a new one of these things." He says, pointing at the new muzzle around his neck.
Alucard would chuckle at the boy's foolish behavior, were it not for two obstacles. The first being his current persona. Roleplaying as a mature and elegant noble, he can't let himself be as haughty as he normally would act. Now, Alucard must play the role of the kind older brother, looking out for these students in their moments of strife. Although it is irritating, not being able to ridicule the immaturity of his new peers, it also feels liberating. Alucard cannot help but reminisce over the days before he became a vampire. When he was still a human. A child, growing up as a hostage in the Ottoman Empire. Though life was difficult at times, his days as a student were quite enjoyable.
The second reason for Alucard's restraint is the pink blur currently dashing around him and intruding on his personal space. Her name is Mina Ashido if memory serves. And she's already proven herself to be an energetic child.
"Hey, how are you so tall? Is everyone in Europe tall like you? What's your Quirk?! Is it true that everyone in Europe has blonde hair? How different are their schools compared to ours?" The girl's face was a whirl as she ran circles around him. He didn't bother to answer any of her questions, preferring to let her tire herself out first.
"Ashido…" Other students tried dragging her away from him, but the girl is simply unrelenting in her curiosity. And from the looks in their eyes, Alucard can tell that his new classmates are as interested in his background as she is. So, he decides to do something about it.
"I'll answer all of your questions once we've sat down." Alucard tilts his head forward, bowing lightly before everyone's prying eyes. From the outside, Alucard epitomizes the polite gentleman. While Iida stands dutifully beside the bus door, blowing his whistle and calling on the students of class 1-A to line up in an orderly fashion, Alucard takes up a position next to the door and helps his classmates inside.
Behind his façade however, Alucard has already begun devising his false background. False on paper, though in reality it is far truer than it has any right to be. Though centuries old, Alucard is a descendant of noble blood. Well-practiced in the courtly arts, like dancing, music, and the occasional romantic evening. And his "Quirk" is simply one aspect of his powers. This "false" background is moreso a narrowed view of the truth.
"DARN! IT WAS THIS TYPE OF BUS!" A single voice breaks out from the crowd, crying out in shame once everyone has taken their seat.
Stooped low in disappointment and embarrassment, Tenya Iida loudly proclaims his humiliation amongst his peers. Ashido tries to console him, though what she says does little to help the emotional teen. To the side, Izuku and Alucard glance at the class president, Izuku with unease and Alucard with amusement.
"Anyways." Ashido stops comforting Iida and turns to Alucard, her eyes already brimming with intrigue. "You said you'd answer all my questions."
"I did. Though I recall saying I'd answer everyone's questions, not just yours, Ashido."
"Then I'll go first." Ashido leaned over the chair, not wanting to let anyone interrupt. She rested her chin atop the palms of her hands. "What's your Quirk?"
Alucard had devoted a good bit of time to devising a passable Quirk for a "talented" transfer student. And in the end, he'd settled on one that he could use in both day and evening. "My teachers coined the term 'Composition' for my Quirk."
Everyone turned their attention to him, all expecting him to give a demonstration. So, he gave one. He raised one hand into the air and held it still for a moment, making sure that everyone was watching it closely. Even the Todoroki boy, who was sitting near the back of the bus and seemed dismissive of him at first, laid a bored eye on his little show. They all seemed expectant that some phenomenon will emerge from his hand. However, it was not his hand where their eyes should have been drawn.
*FWOOSH*
From below, where no one had been looking, an oily black creature appeared. Like a wisp of flame, it slithered out of his knee and hovered in front of them. Its tiny, shadowy form flew up from the metal floor and perched itself on top of Alucard's extended arm. Everyone from Iida to Kirishima gasps loudly. As they all look on in amazement, the red-eyed crow pecks at the cuff of his uniform.
"Oh my gosh!" Ashido cried out. "Can I pet it?" To which Alucard replied by extending his arm and offering it to her.
"So, you can generate animals?" Asked Izuku, already writing in his notebook.
Alucard chuckled. "Something like that."
Iida tilted his head in confusion. "What do you mean by that?"
"Well, technically that crow isn't alive." He began. Ashido's eyes widen as she starts to consider that she may be holding a corpse. "Nor is it dead." She sighed in relief. "Rather, it's an extension of my being." Upon hearing this, Ashido was neither frightened nor relieved. Just confused.
"So, you can feel everything it feels?" Izuku mumbled, eyes still homed in on his notebook.
Alucard nodded. "Yes, one can put it that way."
"So… I'm petting… you right now?" Struggling to get it out, Ashido seems split between interest and the desire to toss the crow away.
"Then again, he is kinda cute…So petting him might not be all that bad." Ashido says to herself, already coming to terms with the idea.
Those hopes are dashed when the crow dissipates in her hands, a light gray fog slipping through her fingers. A faint gasp escapes her lips as she clutches at the air where the crow had once been. The fog slowly floats back towards Alucard where it reintegrates into his person.
"I can see what it sees and control its every action." Alucard tells them. "Feeling what it feels is something I can toggle on and off."
"And you can make an unlimited number?" Iida wonders, leaning closer to Izuku to get a look at his notes.
"No. There is a limit, and it is dependent on myself." Alucard replies.
For the first time since starting, Izuku lifts his head away from his notebook and stares at him.
"Think of any number. Let's go with 20. 20 can be 1 plus 1 nineteen times, or 10 plus 10. I can make as many creatures as I like, so long as the total volume is equal to myself."
In reality, he can make whatever creature he wishes to whatever extent. But when Nezu asked him to devise a Quirk using one of the most versatile aspects of his powers, this was the one that came to mind.
"I see…" Izuku whispers, returning to writing his notes.
"Your Quirk is a lot like Yaoyorozu's." At another end of the aisle, Tsuyu Asui adds her own comment into the conversation. Near the back of the bus, Yaoyorozu herself raises her hand in protest.
"My Quirk doesn't let me generate living things, even if Alex-san says they aren't technically alive. Also, once they are separated from me, I do not share their sensations." The vice president nods affirmatively at Alucard, the two exchanging looks before turning away. Alucard is slightly impressed at how quick the girl was to correct the frog girl. A logical mind, that one. He hopes that the other students can prove themselves in his eyes during this "Rescue Training" class.
After this, the discussion moves away from Alucard's "Quirk". He is still asked to generate a couple of creatures, but the topic shifts when Tsuyu brings up another comparison.
"I generally say what's on my mind, Midoriya." She bluntly comments.
Izuku is staggered by her statement. From what he gathers, Izuku is awkward when it comes to talking to girls. "Oh?! What is it, Asui?"
"Call me Tsuyu." The girl then stares blankly into Izuku's eyes, before curtly stating "Your Quirk resembles All Might's."
"WHAA!" The boy is caught completely off guard by Tsuyu's comment. Alucard begins to wonder if she has deduced the true nature behind Izuku's powers. If that is the case, he'll have to bring it up with Nezu on whether the girl should be removed from the class, or perhaps the school.
"R-R-R-R-Really?! Nah. I mean, I…" He stammers clumsily, desperately trying to come up with some sort of explanation. Unfortunately, he is so juvenile in his behavior that Alucard wonders how the boy has lasted this long. How many secrets must this boy have unintentionally revealed throughout his short lifespan?
"Hold up, Tsuyu. All Might doesn't get hurt, though. They're already different in that way." A sharp bundle of red hair speaks up in defense of Izuku. Kirishima comes out of nowhere to do the unthinkable! Rationalizing something made completely obvious by Izuku Midoriya. "But that sort of simple, strength-enhancing Quirk is awesome! You can do a lot of cool stuff with it!"
The young redhead activates his Quirk, transforming his forearm into a crystallized mallet. "Not like my 'HARDENING'. I'm good in a fight, but it's real boring."
Glad to be relieved of Tsuyu's questioning, Izuku compliments him on his own talents. "I think that's pretty neat, though. Your Quirk's more than enough if you wanna go pro."
Across the room, the students of class 1-A all begin discussing their individual Quirk's and their unique properties. Things are riled up once Kaminari and Tsuyu begin egging on Bakugo, criticizing his unhinged personality for being the reason he'll never be popular. Alucard kept out of their antics, although he couldn't help but inwardly laugh at them. It would do him well to exploit Bakugo's personality. So easily manipulated. All For One will be aiming to coax heroes like him to his ranks, so he knows he'll have to do something about it.
On the sideline, Izuku clamps his hands over his ears as Bakugo is berated with friendly mockery. Alucard finds his behavior questionable. Does the boy have some sort of attachment to this rude buffoon? If so, why? Bakugo's ranting was so venomous that Alucard found it difficult to ignore him.
"What a vulgar conversation!" Yaoyorozu remarks, the young girl covering her mouth in disgust.
Beside her, Uraraka couldn't restrain her laughter. "I think it's fun!" She said as she joyfully bounced around in her seat.
Unashamedly, the tiny bundle of perversion that is Minoru Mineta approached him with a very odd expression. Even before he opened his mouth, Alucard could already guess what the little degenerate was going to ask.
"Uh, hey..." The boy whispers, beads of sweat already on his face. "How small can you make those things? Can you share the view with others? Or maybe make a tiny replica?" His motive is quite transparent, and Mineta makes no effort to hide it. As a result, Alucard takes great pleasure in denying the boy his sexual satisfaction.
"I have no intention of helping you with your sexual fantasies, my little deviant." It's clear that he has no plans of backing down, but he does return to his seat. This time with a new look on his face. Possibly planning ways to persuade Alucard and gain his assistance. Alucard had no interest in the female body, not any more. He'd killed and consumed far too many of them to even care about something like that.
Near the front of the bus, Shota Aizawa stands up from his seat and turns to address the class.
"We're here. Look sharp, now…"
The rest of the class snaps to attention, though that doesn't stop Bakugo from continuing to whisper obscenities at some of his classmates. The obnoxious child, much like Izuku, lacks restraint. But unlike Izuku, who spends far too much time concerning himself with others, Bakugo is far too concerned with himself. As they're stepping out of the bus, Alucard recalls the details Nezu gave him regarding the villains in Japan.
"All For One is crafty, I don't have to tell you that. No one's seen him in years, but that doesn't mean he's gone for good. So, expect something to come up out of nowhere. I don't know where or when it'll happen, but what I do know is that it will happen eventually. Try not to kill anyone when it does. I leave the rest in your capable hands."
As Alucard's feet meet the pavement, he can feel the incident already taking place. They've arrived at an amusement park. As their instructor arrives to introduce them to the location where they will be training, Alucard already knows that Nezu's hunch is soon going to pay off. Keeping his smile plastered on his face, Alucard scans the layout of this "Unforeseen Simulation Joint". If these villains are as comical as Nezu described, then this class will no doubt be far more "special" than any of them could have counted on.

Author's Notes: Yeah, we're starting at the USJ Arc. I thought about starting later down the line, but ultimately decided to go with something simpler. I'm also experimenting with past and present tense. I'm trying to find which gives a more pleasant reading experience. Please provide me with feedback on which you prefer, along with feedback on this story in general. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you in the next one.
