Author's Notes: Thank you for all of the positive reviews. I'm doing my best to construct a coherent and interesting story while also slowly wrenching up the action. It shouldn't be much longer before we begin departing from canon and letting Alucard off his leash. Anyways, please enjoy yourselves.

"TIME IS UP! YOUR FINAL EXAM IS OVER!"

Alucard sighed gleefully as he watched from the comfort of his hospital bed. Recovery Girl's security cameras gave he and everyone else in the room an uninterrupted view of their classmates torment. Giggling softly, he watched his classmates merrily celebrate their success while others wallowed in despair. A number of Class 1-A's students had demonstrated their growth, employing ingenuity and clever tactics to outmaneuver and outsmart their teachers. Others, like Ashido and Kaminari, were not so fortunate.

Able to manage themselves well in open combat, they proved less adept at tricking their more experienced opponents. Neither one of them maanging to reach the finish line or overpower them, they stagnated until the timer inevitably ran out. He was pleasantly surprised when Izuku and Bakugo proved a more capable duo than initially anticipated. Despite Deku foolishly turning around to retrieve Bakugo despite the finish line being right in front of him, the bone-headed duo still performed well above his expectations. And when All Might plopped them down in Recovery Girl's tent, Alucard made sure his protégé knew.

"I'm sure you're already aware of this, my friend, but you should have won when you had the chance."

"Y-yeah…" Lying flat on his face, Deku could barely move. Merely craning his neck to glance in his general direction took every ounce of stamina he had left. In reality, he had no regrets for turning back and rescuing Bakugo from All Might. Had he not done that, he'd never be able to forgive himself. But just because he didn't regret it didn't make Alexander's critiques any less impactful.

"But while I admittedly view your relationship with Bakugo as distasteful…" Alucard benevolently placed the palm of his hand on top of Deku's head. "I'm glad you did it." The green mat of hair rose off the mattress, eyes wide. "You looked like a proper hero, if only for the lack of a likeable hostage. Once you have the strength to do it, be sure to hold your head high."

Unable to say a word, be it from the emotions welling within him or his sore throat, the young child could do naught but weep lightly. Although Alex had praised him numerous times in the past, up till now it had always felt empty. While Deku had been giving it his all, Alexander Anderson always seemed to be miles ahead. This time though, it felt as if he actually had done something to be proud of. That combined with Alex-kun's approval brought him to tears.

Alucard, in the meantime, was content with the boy's progress. While still a crybaby, Deku was making strides towards becoming an individual capable of upholding All Might's legacy. Wearing a gentle grin on his face, Alucard tousled the child's bed of hair as they celebrated passing the final exam.

A Few Days Into Summer:

"Mission report."

"Yes, master. The attack held at USJ by the League of Villain's was ambitious, yet ultimately proved fruitless. These imbeciles don't hold a candle to the idiots I've faced before. Though there were some promising talents among their ranks, there is little to be afraid of for now. Their leader is named Shigaraki Tomura, and I believe he serves as the antithesis of Izuku Midoriya."

"So All For One has chosen a successor of his own…"

"Perhaps." He suspected there was a more significant purpose behind Shigaraki Tomura's apprenticeship but had little evidence to support it. "Not long after the USJ Incident, the League of Villains reared their heads once more at the city of Hosu. There they unleashed a platoon of Nomu along with the Hero Killer, Stain. I dealt with him, though Izuku Midoriya and other members of Class 1-A provided some minor assistance."

Through the phone, Alucard heard Integra Hellsing giggle faintly. At that moment, Alucard was sitting in his pitch-black apartment room. There was little furniture besides his coffin and the analog telephone. While his master had suggested he begin carrying a proper handheld phone, he'd declined. Maybe it was his age showing, but he was more accustomed to these older phones than what had been introduced in recent years. He'd adopt it eventually though. After all, it'd taken decades for him to accept the analog phone.

"Has Izuku Midoriya shown any signs of whatever it was his mentor saw in him?"

"There lie shards of potential in the boy. Sufficient for him to surpass All Might, but paltry if he wishes to go further beyond."

"Well… no wonder our precious Mr. Principal asked you to act as the boy's consultant." She chuckled. The master and her vampiric subordinate spent the next few minutes conversing over the other minor happenings Alucard had seen thus far in his assignment. He also reported that he'd deployed one of his shades and infiltrated the League of Villain's hideout, where he'd learnt about their recent efforts at recruiting new members.

"That can only mean they're planning another outing." Integra surmised.

"I agree." Their most recent additions, two little babes named Himiko Toga and Dabi. The first, an unassuming high school girl, coated her true self behind a jovial smile. Appearing as nothing more than a dainty juvenile student to most, she maintained an upbeat attitude throughout her interview. However, it wasn't difficult for him to notice her lifeless eyes and fanged teeth. He supposed she was just a mental case. Perhaps she'd been granted a healthy upbringing yet, of her own volition, chose to throw it away. Insanity? Possibly. Who better than he to judge such things?

Her fellow rookie, a male teen covered in burn scars, Dabi was anything but unassuming. He couldn't imagine this child waltzing about in public without the police being called in. His personality bore a close resemblance to Shigaraki, in that neither held any respect for anyone outside themselves. Which was why their interview was so entertaining to watch. Even culminating in a brawl nearly breaking out. Disappointingly, Kurogiri had intervened, citing that in order for their organization to expand, they would have to be more accepting of the types of applicants they accepted. A reasonable conclusion, if only a little monotonous.

Having given a detailed summary of everything he'd experienced since arriving in Japan, Alucard stepped aside as his master began to speak.

"I have some exciting news for you."

"Oh?" Had the time finally come when he could abandon these shackles and rain hell upon these infidels?

"There is to be a celebration on a mobile city, and you've been invited. Along with the entirety of Class 1-A, for that matter. Our agents have informed me that the owner of the residence, the world-famous Quirk scientist David Shield, has successfully developed a device capable of maximizing a Quirk user's powers."

He scoffed. "And he's throwing a party just for that?" While a momentous achievement, such an ambitious invention would attract an equivalent amount of attention. A less than desirable crowd would most assuredly catch on and aim to acquire it for their own purposes. For a world-famous scientist, Mr. Shield was proving to be far less cognizant than was suitable for one in his position.

Luckily, that wasn't the case. "Not him. His daughter, Melissa Shield. We're still not certain as to why she's organized this, but the fact of the matter is that she has personally sent invitations out to almost every notable hero in Japan."

He hummed in amusement. A world-famous scientist invents a machine which allows Quirk users to reach their full potential? His daughter plans a get-together, most likely to commemorate her father's achievement, inevitably spreading rumors of the event? How utterly naïve. This "Melissa" had rolled out the red carpet for any criminal organization to steal her father's treasured device.

"I assume someone will be interrupting this ceremony?"

"Astute as ever, Alucard. You see, David Shield is a former colleague of All Might's. The two of them worked together once upon a time, with Shield acting as the handyman, constructing all manner of gadgets for All Might's eager hands." As though reading a biography of the man, Integra occasionally paused to laugh while she told him David's backstory. "Perhaps he absorbed a hint of All Might's flamboyance, as he's planned an adorable show for your enjoyment."

Alucard chuckled. "Really?" So the dunce meant to give a demonstration of his "revolutionary" device. Why were these doctors and scientists so often blind and unaware? If he ever had the chance, he wanted to sit down and hold a meaningful discussion with one of these mad scientists. "I'm ever grateful for such consideration."

"Yes. Once the party is underway, their security systems will be hacked by an unknown entity. Naturally, the criminals will threaten to kill all those present. Then, their 'leader' will leave with David so he can break into the vault which contains the Quirk amplifying device. All of this is orchestrated, as I'm sure you've already discerned."

Affirming his master's claim, Alucard sank back into his chair. "How droll," he mumbled. Surely there was more to it than that.

"Indeed." How fortunate. "The aforementioned 'leader' will be a man by the name of 'Wolfram'. He and his terrorist group played themselves off as a circus of sorts in order to earn Mr. Shield's trust. As I'm sure you're already aware, they will not be following Mr. Shield's script." He was grateful for that. "Whether All For One is related to this scheme is currently unknown. It would appear that separate groups shall be making an appearance as well. Whether they're objective is obtaining the device for themselves or they're working with Wolfram matters not. What matters is that there will be throngs of people waiting for you to introduce yourself, Alucard."

Like melting plastic, the edges of his lips split at the seams. A wicked smile no human could make now sat firmly on Alucard's face, radiating joy and bloodlust. Long had he waited to feed on the essence of the living. His eyes twisted and warped into a mangled distortion of what they were before. A sinister reflection of the face he normally wore. Rather, this was what lay underneath the façade that was Alexander Anderson. A bloodstained killer to whom Stain could not even hope to compare. A revolting countenance few would ever consider sane. But for the wearer, this was an expression of the highest delight.

"At long last…"

His blood had started to boil after going so long without a fulfilling meal. The Prince of Darkness yearned for a satisfying night, one in which he could indulge for as long as he desired. Hopefully "Wolfram" had prepared sufficiently for his operation, otherwise Alucard might not come out satisfied. Integra, knowing all too well what look her servant wore, waited patiently before continuing her briefing.

"I would advise you to wait until the operation has started before responding. We can't have All For One growing weary of our agents, as little a difference it would make." Beyond those details, there was little else of import.

"Of course, my master."

"Your invitation notice should be arriving soon, so prepare an alibi. That will be all, Alucard."

*CLICK*

An alibi… Finally, he had something waiting for him. It had been so long since he'd last gone on a true rampage. This was going to be fun.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

The package must have arrived. Casting out his third eye, he saw the delivery man hurriedly departing after having placed the package in front of his door. Checking the contents of the package, he found a formal letter, a bouquet, and a box of sugary sweets. He appreciated the sentiment, though that was the least of his concerns. Sitting cross-legged, he tipped his head back and began laughing maniacally. None of his neighbors noticed since he'd soundproofed the walls, so he cackled away for a period of time before eventually dying down. Rising from his seat, Alucard walked to his front door.

"All Might… All Might… All Might!"

"Ah!"

Engrossed by memories of his youth, Yagi Toshinori came crashing back into reality at the sound of his student's voice. Startled out of his slumber, he had to shake himself back to normal. Where were they again? Oh yeah, on an airplane flying to his old friend's mobile island city. Now what had gotten his pupil so uppity?

"What's the matter, Young Midoriya?" he asked, rubbing a thin trail of saliva off his cheek.

"We can see it, look!" His own cheek pressed tightly against the glass window, Izuku eagerly dragged his mentor by the shoulder to see what was outside.

It was still early in the morning, so the sun had just begun to rise. Hence, All Might was treated with a picteresque view of the Pacific Ocean as the sun rouse in the horizon. The light reflecting off of the water further enhanced the beautiful vista for the master and his pupil. Clear blue water lapped lazily over the vast expanse, ebbing and flowing into the swift sunrise. Still a tad bit drowsy, the incredible landscape helped Japan's #1 Hero refresh his mind. But the real star of the show was the gigantic island city floating in the ocean.

"The artificial moving city inhabited by over 10 thousand scientists, I-Island!" Izuku hurriedly pulled out the pamphlet containing many of the details regarding their destination. "It's like a dream come true to be able to go to I-Island right at the beginning of summer vacation!" There was his encyclopedic knowledge of anything and everything heroic, going at it as usual.

"I didn't think you'd be that excited. I'm glad I invited you." All Might smiled. It was unsettling, at times, just how volatile Izuku's mood swings could be. On the flip of a coin, the boy would fall from jovial euphoria into a sobbing mess. He wanted to find a way to help him deal with it, but the truth was… All Might himself was just as bad…

"But is it really okay for me to come with you?" Izuku wondered.

"There's no need to hold back. The invitation said I could bring a companion."

"Isn't that normally meant for family-" All Might cut him off there.

"We are connected by something thicker than blood, aren't we?" He placed a confident grip on the boy's shoulder. "The bond of One For All." he murmured. Izuku grinned happily in response.

"Yes!" he eagerly nodded. His bond with All Might was something he treasured greatly. But a question had been birthed in the recesses of his mind and had been gestating there for a while. Between All Might and Alex-kun, who did he look up to the most? All Might had been his idol for as long as he could remember. The one thing that kept him going when life itself seemed against him. He couldn't imagine how things might've turned out if he'd never met All Might that day. He wouldn't be attending U.A. He wouldn't have made so many great friends.

Most importantly, his friendship with Alex-kun may never have gotten to where it was now.

Sure, Alex-kun would still have moved into Musutafu and they probably would have stumbled into one another a couple of times, but they wouldn't be anywhere near as familiar and friendly as they were now.

Izuku wasn't sure where Alex-kun stood, relative to All Might. Since he'd first met him, Izuku had only seen the European transfer perform extraordinary deeds. First standing up to the League of Villains, then knocking out Kacchan during U.A.'s Sports Festival, to most recently defeating the Hero Killer singlehandedly. Alex-kun personified everything Izuku had always wanted to be. Lean. Tall. Handsome. Brave. Confident… Perfect hair, what didn't he have?

Even more than that, Class 1-A's new wunderkind took to him quite warmly. Perhaps due in part to how close they lived to one another; the mature boy had adopted a sort of elder brother role in his mind. Frequently advising him on social matters, helping him do his homework, and practicing with him frequently. While All Might had laid the foundation for his powers by letting him inherit One For All, it felt like Alex-kun had been the one to build something on top of it. Nowadays, Izuku felt more comfortable in social situations. There were even times when he actually considered talking back to Kacchan, which had never happened before.

He looked up to both of them, but he wasn't sure it would be alright if Alex-kun was "higher", per say, than All Might. All Might was the Symbol of Peace, Japan's #1 Hero. The man who'd given him his Quirk and taken him on as an apprentice. Was it really okay for a European kid who was barely half his age to usurp his position in Deku's mind? Maybe he was just overthinking this. After all, there was nothing wrong with having more than one role model.

*BEEP*

"This plane will soon begin its descent to I-Island."

The automated speaker clicked off after telling them that. Izuku stared at All Might as his mentor began scouting their room, searching back and forth for reasons unknown to him. Why was he acting so cautiously?

"Now it's about to get pretty exhausting. Because once I arrive, I-" Steam started to rise from his body as his muscle mass expanded tenfold. He also grew about two feet taller before discarding his coat and revealing himself in his famous hero costume. "-must maintain my muscle form constantly!" His voice grew noticeably deeper and more pronounced following his transformation. "Now, Young Midoriya, you change, too. You asked the school if you could bring your hero costume, right?"

Finally! He'd been waiting for a chance to don his hero costume. It'd been a while since the practical section of the final exam, so he wanted to use this opportunity to get more used to wearing it. Maybe he'd even wear the mask, despite how it blocked his vision.

"Yes!" he avidly replied. In that moment, the seatbelt light turned on, notifying them both to sit down and put on their seatbelts. Although he could withstand the force of their descent, All Might still took the courtesy of obeying the signal and sat back down in his chair. And still in his muscular form, he ended up squishing Izuku up against the wall. Not the most pleasant start to this summer vacation, but he wasn't complaining.

"We will now begin the immigration inspection."

That was kind of odd. As they exited their jet and entered the main airport structure, Izuku and All Might were told to stand on a long conveyer belt. Metal gates opened for them as they were transported on the lengthy corridor. Numerous scanners ran over their bodies the whole way, not leaving a single inch unchecked. The security here was even better than U.A.'s, which made sense, given this whole mobile city was made by one of the most notable inventors in recent years.

"Here's a question for you, Young Midoriya. Why was this artificial island created?" Asked All Might.

"Let's see…" Izuku cupped his chin in thought. "To create a place where the world's talents could gather to research Quirks and support items! The island was made mobile in order to protect the scientists and their research from villains. That security system is the equivalent of Tartarus, and no villain has committed a crime here before."

Question marks miraculously appearing around him, All Might couldn't contain his astonishment at his pupil's immeasurable depth of knowledge. Again, it was unsettling how much the kid had memorized around their society. Downright uncanny, even.

"You really know a lot about this stuff, huh?" While still proud to have such a talented boy as his successor, it still made him doubt his abilities as a teacher. The reason he'd asked that question in the first place was so he could be the one doing the explaining, not the other way around. He'd have to consult his teaching guidebook in private later.

"The immigration inspection is complete."

The last gate slid open for the duo as they exited the most tedious part of their trip and entered the hub area where there were long lines of civilians that lead to the exit gates. Izuku had hoped there would be more flair to I-Island's airport, but his anticipation was so overpowering that it blocked out any sense of boredom he might have felt.

"Currently, on I-Island, we are having the preopening of I-Expo, an exposition showcasing the results of various research and development. If you've received an invitation, please come and take a look."

"Whhaaaaa…!" he gawked.

The view that graced them when they finally left the airport was so stunning, he couldn't help but gasp in delight. Growing up, he'd never had any chances to visit an amusement park. He'd always seen pictures of them on the internet, but never in person. But what he saw before him now was nothing short of a dream come true. So many wild and creative colors covered a near boundless cityscape. Beautifully crafted fields and parks were placed around the sprawling main hub area of the city, lush and green they were. Huge, imposing attractions stood in the surrounding area, all of them so achingly close.

Izuku desperately wished to ride one but knew he'd have to wait until later. All Might had told him that they had some business to tend to, so maybe later he'd have time to check out some of the rides. Meanwhile, he gazed yearningly at the civilians currently enjoying themselves on the gigantic Ferris wheel, the carousels, and the… huge waterfall? Was it supposed to be a rollercoaster, or something else? From where he was standing, Izuku couldn't quite tell. But the mystery only added to his desire to go and join everyone already perusing the premises.

"I can't believe so many people are here even before they officially open to the public."

"Seeing it in person, you can really tell how amazing it is!" As if listening to the tone of his voice, the waterfall he'd thought was a rollercoaster suddenly spewed out gargantuan towers of water. Those torrents then connecting to form the phrase "WELCOME!" Such mind-blowing technology! There was an enormous harp playing soothing music, and on the other side there was a costumed man conducting an orchestra.

"Unlike Japan, people are allowed to use their Quirks as they wish on I-Island. Apparently, there are a lot of attractions in the pavilions that use Quirks. You should go visit them later."

"OKAY!" The brazen young boy barely managed to stop himself from running away right then and there, nearly tripping over the moving garbage can robot as it rolled past.

"Now let's see… The hotel is…"

As All Might was trying to figure that out, an employee noticed them and came over to ask if they needed any assistance.

"Welcome to I-Expo! Wait, All Might?!" Their expression turned.

And like that, they were off. Once the attendant mentioned All Might's name, everybody else nearby abandoned whatever else it was that they were doing and started crowding around him.

"The number one Hero?! It's really him! Wow! Please say a few words!" A tremendous wave of people instantaneously amassed around his mentor, cutting them off from one another to the point where he could barely make out the tall tufts of hair on All Might's head. In the meantime, All Might was proudly laughing it off.

"HAHAHAHA! THANK YOU FOR SUCH A WARM WELCOME! LINE UP FOR AUTOGRAPHS!"

While All Might dealt with his army of fans, Izuku wasn't so fortunate. Swallowed by the legion of All Might devotees, the unlucky boy was summarily chewed, crunched, and then spat out of the grinder. Thank goodness for all the training because otherwise, he doubted he would have made it out of there in one piece.

Half An Hour Later:

"I didn't think I'd be stopped for that long… we were about to be late!"

Rubbing lipstick markings off of his face, All Might stood ironically in his characteristic triumphant stance while Izuku sat behind him. Navigating that crowd and escaping their tight clutches had run him ragged. He thought he'd built up a healthy amount of stamina to outlast most social situations, but that was something he absolutely had not been prepared for.

"Late?" Izuku wheezed.

"Yeah, I wanted to have a reunion with an old friend that I haven't seen in a while. Sorry, but would you mind coming with me?" Oh, so that was what All Might had told him about earlier. Was his friend the one who'd sent him the invitation?

"All Might's friend… Of course I'll go!" Showing no signs of how exhausted he'd been moments before, he eagerly clenched his fists. Deku was always excited to learn more about his mentor, though admittedly there was little about All Might he wasn't already keenly aware of.

Crouching down so they could speak eye to eye, All Might gently grasped Deku's shoulder and spoke to him in a hushed tone.

"I haven't told him about One For All or how I've passed the Quirk on to you, so keep that in mind."

"It's even a secret from your friend?" But… the Principal knew. Gran Torino knew. Was there something stopping All Might from telling this other friend about One For All?

"It's because danger follows around those who know the secret of One For All."

Ah, yes. Now that he thought about it, that made sense. Maybe this friend was someone so important to him that All Might wanted to keep them as far from danger as possible.

"I see. That's true…" Izuku had accepted One For All knowing full well he'd have to one day defeat All For One and the great evil Japan's heinous criminal mastermind planned to bring. And in inheriting One For All, he understood that anyone and everyone close to him became potential targets for his enemies. Family, friends, everyone. But he hadn't forgotten his ultimate goal. To become strong enough to carry that burden. To learn to use One For All properly as soon as he could. Failure was not an option, which was why he was always eager to learn more about being a hero.

*BOING*BOING*BOING*

The soft echoes of a pogo stick traveled down the concrete stairs.

"Uncle!" A high pitched jovial voice cried out.

All Might perked up at the sound of a woman's voice as it closed in on them. Down the stairs came a young blonde lady on a pogo stick. Her long, wavy hair flew in the air as she descended the stairwell. Deku immediately admired her talent with it. He'd never tried using a pogo stick before, but it didn't take an expert to know that Deku would faceplant if he ever tried riding it.

"Uncle Might!"

Tossing the pogo stick away midair, she fell gracefully into All Might's open embrace.

"Oh, Melissa!" he grinned, holding her up in the air like a fragile kitten.

"Long time no see! I'm so happy you came!" she replied, her round face accentuating her bright, flower-like smile. Her entire outfit only contributed to her cheery personality. Dressed in a white short-sleeved dress shirt with plaid cuffs and a dark raspberry pink waistcoat, everything about her radiated positivity. The plaid bow strapped to her neck brought adding a hint of tenderness to her already gentle frame.

"Thank you for inviting me!" All Might joyfully guffawed. "But man, I almost didn't recognize you! You're all grown up now!"

"I'm seventeen now. I'm heavier than I used to be, aren't I?"

"Not at all!" The two laughing together as the muscular man effortlessly lifted her into the air.

"I'm glad you seem well, as usual, Uncle Might. Sorry I'm late. I was so focused on my experiment that I lost track of time…"

Staring wide eyed at the happy reunion, Deku struggled to comprehend how such a young girl could be All Might's old friend. Was it her Quirk that let her look so youthful? Of course he missed the fact that she was seventeen.

"Oh right, where's Dave?"

"He's in his lab. It looks like he finished the first stage of some research he'd been working on for many years, so I invited you to this island as a surprise to celebrate that."

"Is that what it was?" Oh, so they'd come here to celebrate something. Deku instinctively reached for his notebook but found that, for once, it wasn't in his pocket. He'd left it in his luggage, unfortunately. "By the way, what was Dave researching this time?"

"He said it's confidential and won't tell even me."

"Scientists have it hard too, huh?"

He was starting to feel conflicted. He wanted to add something to their conversation, maybe something about hero tech or Quirk research, but he also didn't want to interrupt their heartwarming reunion. As Deku fumbled with this mental conundrum, All Might thankfully noticed his pupil's struggle and generously gave him a way into the discussion.

"Oh, Young Midoriya, she's my good friend's daughter…"

"I'm Melissa Shield. Nice to meet you!"

So she wasn't the one they'd come to meet. Okay, now things were starting to make sense. If it was her, then the ages would have been off by a decade or so.

"Is that how it is?" For a moment there, he'd considered that maybe there was some kind of "history" between the two. The image of All Might maybe giving this girl a kiss… it made him shiver in his boots. So he was relieved to know that wasn't the case.

"Huh? What?" she wondered.

"Oh, nothing!" Scrambling with pulling one of his gloves off, he quickly shook her hand. "N-nice to meet you!"

After taking a moment to breathe, Deku took the chance to introduce himself properly. Without all the stuttering and nervous behavior.

"I'm Izuku Midoriya, a first year in the hero course at U.A. High School."

"U.A. High School? Then you're Uncle Might's…"

"Yes, I'm his student."

"He's going to be a hero in the future!" All Might exclaimed, proudly patting him on the shoulder.

"Wow, I can't believe you're Uncle Might's student! You've got a promising future, right?"

"No, I'm still in training, I mean, I'm…" Wrestling with trying not to reveal One For All to her while also being really proud to be called All Might's student, Deku couldn't come up with the best way to express his thoughts. Luckily for him, Melissa was interested in other things.

Unfortunately, that didn't make things easier as the attractive young lady eyed up his hero costume. Was there some dirt on him? His mom had washed it thoroughly before leaving, so that couldn't possibly be the case.

"What kind of Quirk do you have?" she stepped closer so she could better examine him as he told her that he was a power type. But by now she was close enough that he could smell her perfume. Beads of sweat started rolling down his forehead as he resisted the urge to dash away. He'd practiced this routine with Alex-kun already. He'd talked to other girls in public! Yet he just couldn't stop himself from acting up in the presence of a girl like Melissa. He'd have a lot of talking to do with Alex-kun back home.

"It's cool, but it's a very orthodox design…" she mumbled, lifting his mask that'd been hanging down his back. "I don't see any support items, either… Maybe you should refine your costume…" His whole head red as a tomato, Deku gulped as Melissa caressed the scars on his hand.

"Ahem… Melissa, it's about time."

Melissa reacted instantly, hopping off the ground and back onto her feet. "Oh, I'm sorry! I got distracted…" she apologized. She was just like Mei Hatsume, so infatuated with machinery that she often lost herself in it. "We've gotta hurry and make Papa happy! This way, Uncle Might!" Grabbing her pogo stick from off the concrete, the whole thing turned white in her hand and slinked into her wristwatch. Not waiting for a response, she broke into a jog towards the central spire.

"…" They both stood there, silently. Just taking in the lightning fast encounter they'd just gone through.

Neither of them knew what to say about it. It'd been messy from start to finish. But to be honest, they'd grown to accept these kinds of things as just another part of their everyday lives. They smiled awkwardly at one another and ran right after her. Meanwhile...

A Dark Corner Of I-Expo:

A small group of rugged looking men stealthily surveyed the vast open area in front of them. None of them were impressed by what they saw, but that was because they weren't here to gawk or be amazed at David Shield's achievements. They were here for a different reason altogether.

The man at the head of the group pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

*BEEP*

"We were able to get into the expo with no problem. So when will the goods arrive?"

The voice that answered carried an ominous weight behind it. Deep and foreboding, yet strangely metallic. Almost as if it wasn't a real person's voice.

"Please come get it at 3 p.m. at gate 66." The synthetic voice succinctly stated. No other words were needed as the man nodded.

"I understand." He whispered before ending the call, subtly placing his phone back into his pocket. Slowly turning around, the mysterious figure disappeared in the shadows, along with the silhouettes of those accompanying him.

One Hour Later, I-Expo:

"Wow, this is amazing!" Izuku gasped, his mouth agape at all the incredible structures and sights to behold on I-Island. "Looking at it like this, it's hard to believe that this is a man-made island."

After regrouping with Melissa, she'd guided he and All Might to the laboratory where David Shield was. There, All Might had at last reunited with his old friend while Izuku stood shocked in a corner. The "old friend" they'd come to meet was THE Professor David Shield?! One of the world's most renowned Quirk researchers, recipient of the Nobel Quirk Prize, and the man who'd once designed all of All Might's hero costumes?!

In hindsight, he really should have figured it out a lot sooner. After all, David Shield had worked with All Might back when he'd lived in America, and he'd also known that David Shield was the creator of I-Island. So it would have made sense to assume they'd come here to meet the man himself.

After fanboying out and giving a disturbingly detailed recitation of all of Shields' past accomplishments, the humble professor asked Melissa to give Deku a tour of I-Expo so he and All Might could have some time to reconnect. Deku waste no time before departing. After all, he didn't want to get in the way of their reunion after they'd been apart for so long. So now here he was, perusing I-Expo with Melissa Shield as his tour guide.

"We have all the facilities of a large city. Just about all we can't do is travel." Basking in the glory of I-Expo, Melissa gave him a flowery smile as he dashed from exhibit to exhibit.

"Really?" Wasn't I-Island a mobile city? Weren't they technically always traveling?

"It's because all the scientists and their families here have a duty to confidentiality to keep information from leaking out." Oh, that's what she meant. Yeah, letting your top scientists go wherever they wanted was prone to some undesirable outcomes. Especially with the high grade of information and technology kept on I-Island. If any of it were stolen, who knew what kind of horrors could come as a result.

*ROOOAAARRR*

The ground suddenly shook as a massive shadow blotted out the sun. The lumbering outline of a reptilian creature covered nearly the entirety of I-Expo in darkness. What in the world? There wasn't supposed to be a solar eclipse that day, was there? But upon getting a closer look…

"Wow!" What loomed in the horizon was not the moon, nor a space station. "It's the Monster Hero: Godzillo!"

The gargantuan terror loomed oppressively over the plaza. But whatever terror they might have felt was offset by his cheeky grin. Spectators gathered around him as everyone tried to get a good view of the gigantic behemoth.

"It's my first time seeing the real thing!" One man shouted.

"His Quirk's amazing!"

His white coat and high collar drifted lazily behind him as Godzillo stomped past the crowd. His clawed feet, heavy as they were, luckily didn't leave any marks in the pavement. The designers of I-Island really had built the place to withstand anything, hadn't they?

"He must've been invited here by a sponsor." Melissa commented, approaching Deku from behind. "Lots of pro heroes are here to show off their newest items and sign autographs and stuff. It looks like there are a lot of different events." He wanted to run up and ask Godzillo for an autograph, but decided that now wasn't the best time.

It was a sight he saw on a daily basis back home, but never with such scale and concentration. There were tens of pro heroes roaming about, just minding their own business. Giving out autographs and taking photos seemingly without a care in the world. Back in Japan, pros were usually friendly to civilians and occasionally stopped to talk to them, but more often than not they were on the alert for any sign of danger. For them to be so relaxed in a public environment…

"I-Expo's amazing!" he cried out in pure excitement.

"There's a party with all the industry guests tonight, too. But you'll be at that, too, right? Since you came with Uncle Might."

A party? Was that why All Might told him to bring formal clothes? His mom had stirred up quite a commotion when he'd asked her for a formal suit. He'd never worn anything like it before, so he'd assumed his mother would know something about it. The terror that followed was an event so scarring, the fragile young boy had erased it from his memory. In the end, he'd gone to Alex-kun for advice. In hindsight, he should've just sought out his dear friends counsel from the start. He was from a wealthy family, so Alex-kun was naturally at home with this kind of thing.

Suddenly, someone gripped his arm like a vice. It was Melissa, pointing a finger at the large building in front of them. "Oh, Deku! You should definitely check out that pavilion!" She didn't hesitate before dragging him through the air as they ran inside.

Five minutes later, they'd checked themselves into the tech demonstration using Melissa's VIP card and were enjoying themselves with the exhibition. Dazed after being tossed into the air, he nonetheless couldn't hold himself back, dashing between gadgets so he could analyze their every nook and cranny.

"So many of the newest hero items in one place!" he shouted in amazement.

"Deku, look at this!" she said, gesturing towards a large aeronautical vehicle that was on display. "This multipurpose Beagle can fly, of course, but it can also move underwater!" And after that, "You can wear this diving suit up to seven thousand meters in the deep sea." And then, "These goggles are equipped with 36 different sensors."

"I CAN SEE SO MUCH!" So many incredible contraptions and inventions all being shown off in a single location, it was getting to be a bit too much for even him. He began breathing heavily as he nearly salivated at the volume of tech in this pavilion. The obsessive hero enthusiast fought back the urge to climb onto one of them and test them out. To think all of these amazing things could be made by human hands!

"Actually, almost everything here was created based on things Papa's patented." Geez. He was aware of how much David Shield had done, but to this degree? Remarkable.

"Wow, that's amazing!"

Despite technically not being an employee, Melissa acted as an impromptu guide for him as she led him through display after display, listing off all the minutia that pertained to each device. "Each and every item here helps heroes around the world in their work." He gazed intently at every one of the gadgets she pointed out, marveling at the sleek designs and ingenious mechanisms involved in operating them.

Still looking around in sheer wonder, Deku caught a glimpse of Melissa's expression. As she went on and on about her father, the sparkle in her eyes grew brighter with it.

"You really respect your dad, don't you?" he prodded. That didn't even need to be said. For anyone to be raised by a tech wizard like David Shield and not be enamored with their parent's work would be nothing less than a tragedy. She seemed shocked, as if she'd realized how she'd been behaving and was embarrassed by it.

"Um…" she stammered. "That's because it's my dream to become a scientist like him." Well that was only natural.

The two continued exploring the exhibit for a short while longer. During that time, Deku gradually became more interested in Melissa than the technology on display.

"Oh, speaking of which, you go to the Academy here, right?" He remembered hearing her father mention that.

"Ah, I'm in my third year."

Deku perked up. "The I-Island Academy is where all those who want to become scientists want to go, right?" Outside of U.A., I-Island Academy was probably the most well-known school in Japan. Producing many of the genius minds that would be propelling Quirk research forward, I-Island was one of the premier schools in the Eastern Hemisphere. Getting admitted there was no small feat, even if she was the owner's daughter.

"I've still got a long way to go." She modestly batted away his praise. But the spark hadn't left her eyes. Fierce determination roared within them, searing an unerring path she was sure to follow. "I need to study more." She told him matter-of-factly. That was a good mindset to have. He remembered once when Alex-kun had told him what he should be proud of. One of the things he listed off was Deku's eagerness to learn. He never let himself feel satisfied with where he was.

That philosophy was a good thing academically, but Alex-kun also told him it went in the complete opposite direction for his social skills. His European friend didn't mince his words.

He clenched his fist. "I have to work harder to become like All Might, too." He was still flawed in many aspects, but he hoped that with enough hard work, he'd eventually be able to fulfill the hopes and dreams of everyone around him.

Melissa beamed appreciatively at him. "You really love Uncle Might, don't you? You were so enthusiastic earlier. It surprised me!"

Deku almost tripped. Like Melissa a few minutes before, he'd lost track of what he was saying. It only came to him now how much he'd obsessed over his idol for the past minute.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I couldn't help it…" he rubbed his scalp bashfully. They giggled at each other's embarassment, not noticing the dark cloud gradually slinking out of the shadows. Unbeknownst to them, a familiar face had made their way behind Deku.

"You look like you're having fun, Deku."

Who was that? Whirling around, Deku came face to face with Uraraka. An Uraraka who was going to great lengths to conceal her frustration while failing miserably.

"U-Uraraka?! What're you doing here?" His mind went reeling at her miraculous appearance. Why was she on I-Island? Did she get an invitation too?

Not concerned whatsoever about answering his question, the forlorn expression on her furrowed brow only growing darker. "You look like you're having fun."

"You said it again?!"

"Ahem." Another girl who was wearing a ponytail coughed as she too glared accusingly at him.

"Yaoyorozu?!"

"You looked like you were having a lot of fun." She didn't look anywhere near as angry as Uraraka, yet her demeanor still told him that he was in for a hard time. Wha- what were they doing here? Oh god, he hadn't considered this. Beside Yaoyorozu entered another dark haired girl, one boldly flaring her earphone jacks.

"Midoriya. I overheard." Jiro-san was here too?! Her earphones jacks levitated threateningly in front of her, menacingly pointed at his irises. Her Earphone Jack was something to be feared!

"Are they your friends?" Melissa inquired, ignorant of the palpable layer of tension in the air.

"They're my classmates from school…" he stuttered, desperately trying to keep his knees from giving out. "And it looks like there's a bit of a misunderstanding…" he mumbled. "U-Um, Melissa is just showing me around the expo."

"That's right! My papa and Uncle Might are-"

"WAAAAAHHH!" Deku surged forward and covered her mouth. "Please don't tell them that I came here with All Might!" he whispered pleadingly. When she asked why, he begged and told her he'd explain later.

"All right." She stood back up and clapped her hands. "Do you want to have tea at a café?" she asked aloud, her vibrant smile piercing through the girls' stone-cold glares. Deku wasn't quite sure if that would help, but he was willing to do anything to defuse this situation.

Twenty Minutes Later, At A Modest Cafe:

"Oh, you all have had experience working with pro heroes?" Asked Melissa.

She, Uraraka, Yaoyorozu and Jiro were sitting together around a table idly conversing about what they'd gone through in their first year at U.A. Meanwhile, Deku was sitting far away from the squad while he readjusted. For a second, he'd felt like he was on the verge of dying with all the menacing scowls being thrown his way. Thankfully, Melissa Shield was talented at lowering tension and calming people down.

"Just training and going on patrol." Uraraka answered. Having gone through a rather underwhelming internship relative to Deku's own, she'd still learnt much from her time with Gunhead.

"I got caught up in an incident, but all I did was evacuate people." Ojiro added, going down the line.

"That's still amazing." Trying to raise the overall mood of the gathering, she was handing out praise and good words on a silver platter.

"For some reason, I ended up being in a TV commercial…" From his dinky little seat far away from them, Deku recalled that one commercial where Yaoyorozu and Itsuka Kendo posed in the background as the Snake Hero: Uwabami advertised her product. The image made him uncomfortable, and he quickly erased it from memory.

"You can't do that normally. That's wonderful!" said Melissa. It looked like Yaoyorozu wanted to disagree but held her tongue, instead smiling thoughtfully.

Oh, good… it looked like the misunderstanding had cleared up. He'd genuinely feared for his life for a minute there. Despite wielding One For All, Deku just couldn't maintain any sort of dignity under these sorts of conditions. Even after all the talks he'd had with Alex-kun, he still couldn't talk to girls like a normal person. He felt humiliated. How would Alex-kun have done it if he'd been in here in his place?

*TINK*

"Thank you for your patience." The waiter placed Deku's cup of fruit punch down on the table, but that wasn't the problem. He was immediately caught off guard by how oddly comforting their voice was. Why was this soothing voice so eerily familiar?

"That voice…"

Why did the silky and captivating inflection of the waiter's voice sound so familiar? This wasn't a voice you could find just anywhere. Looking upward, Deku was surprised when he found a certain friend smiling pleasantly back.

"Alex-kun?!"

The well-dressed boy giggled charmingly. Alex-kun's presence alone drew the attention of everyone in the plaza, as families and other passersby stopped to catch a glimpse of the attractive young man. Dressed in a classical waiter's uniform, his black hair and silky white skin complemented his black and white clothing. How he always managed to look so elegant and refined, Deku just couldn't comprehend it.

Flabbergasted by his abrupt appearance, their classmates, excluding Melissa, blurted in unison

"What are you doing here?!"

Uraraka, Jiro, Yaoyorozu had all simultaneously noticed Alex-kun's presence. Their reactions confused Melissa, who peered questioningly at the handsome boy currently serving Deku.

"The staff needed a volunteer to work some shifts." Alex-kun suavely refilled their refreshments as he recollected his journey. "I just happened to be walking past when the manager spotted me and made an offer."

"Why'd you agree to it?" Asked Deku.

Alex-kun smiled warmly, chuckling as he took a seat opposite of him.

"It was an agreeable means of passing the time. I've already seen much of what I-Island has to offer."

"Have you come here before?" Momo asked, her cheeks reddening.

He laughed. "You are well aware of the inner workings of my Quirk, Yaoyorozu. It isn't difficult for me to be at multiple locations at once." Alex-kun coyly held a finger to his lips while glancing at Melissa. "Though perhaps you wouldn't mind keeping that information away from my employers, Ms. Shield."

Despite Alex-kun potentially breaching the terms of his admittedly brief contract, Melissa seemed less concerned about that and more concerned about his "Quirk". Her eyes flashed like they had when she'd talked about changing Deku's costume, and she seemed to be taking mental notes on Alex-kun's physique and build.

"WHAT ARE YOU STANDING AROUND TALKING FOR?! IF YOU'RE GOING TO TAKE THE MONEY, THEN WORK HARDER!"

"I-Iida?!" A blur of white and blue dashed down the street, racing towards Alex-kun.

"You're here, too?!" A distraught Uraraka yelled.

*WHOOOSH*BLORT*

Iida dashed past them at near supersonic speed, bringing a torrent of wind behind him and almost blowing Deku out of his seat. He just barely avoided ramming into Alex-kun, but luckily his ever-vigilant classmate caught him with a net generated by his Quirk. Somehow, no one ended up getting hurt.

"How unsightly, Iida. Such behavior is hardly befitting of our class president." Alex-kun commented snidely, extracting him from the net.

"What're you doing here, Iida?" Deku asked.

"I come from a family of heroes, so we received an invitation from I-Expo." he answered, wiping the residue off his glasses. "But my family was busy, so I'm the only one who came."

"You too, Iida? I also received invitations because my father holds some of I-Expo's sponsors' stock." Yaoyorozu chimed in. Next to her, Jiro also wanted to give her own input.

"And since Yao-momo had two extra invites…" Jiro-san then summarized how she and basically every other girl in Class 1-A held a rock-paper-scissors contest to see which of them would be joining Yaoyorozu. "After an impartial game of chance, we were chosen to go with her."

While he was glad to see them, Deku couldn't help but feel sorry for everyone else. Ashido must've been enraged for losing her shot at such an incredible opportunity. He'd have to bring back some souvenirs for her and the others so they didn't feel left out.

"Yup. The other girls came to the island, too." Uraraka added at the end.

Wait, what? So then what was the whole point of the contest if the other girls had come anyways? He didn't get a chance to ask because by then the conversation had veered elsewhere.

"We're planning on all going around together once it opens to the public tomorrow." Said Melissa.

As all the girls proceeded to plan out their schedule for the next day, Deku focused his attention onto Alex-kun. If they were all here, that probably meant everyone else from Class 1-A had received invitations as well. Maybe Alex-kun knew something about their whereabouts.

"I'm not a security system, Deku." Alex-kun joked. "But to answer your question, I'm cognizant of some of our classmates current locations. Kaminari and Mineta are nearby. They even applied for this job but were ultimately passed over in favor of myself. As for the rest of our friends, well…"

He turned Deku's head towards a distant crater. Deku wasn't quite sure why Alex-kun wanted him to look at it, but then came an ear-shattering *BOOM* that sent tremors through the floor. On a massive display screen hanging above the crater was footage of a red-haired muscle head he knew well.

"Kirishima-san?"

"Indeed." Alex-kun nodded. "He and the other eccentrics of 1-A are partaking in a contest of their own at the moment. If you'd like, you might consider joining them."

Deku gave him a thumbs up.

"On it." Now that he was here, Deku had experienced a surge of motivation. Now, he was far more excited to show off how much he'd improved.

"Go ahead. I'll join you later, once my shift is over."

With Alex-kun's blessing, Deku and everyone else left the café area and ran over to the arena. There, they found Kirishima, Bakugo and Todoroki all engaging in a timed competition. Deku joined in and they'd spend the rest of their evening mucking about through I-Expo before being recalled to the main building. By then, the party was underway and All Might wanted his apprentice to have a good showing.

Located At An Undisclosed Storage Garage:

The security on I-Island was lax. None of these guards even put up a fight before being knocked out. I-Island's head was practically begging for a break-in with how incompetent their recruits were. Opening the control panel, Wolfram activated the lights and opened the bay doors so his goons could start unloading the package. He scanned his surroundings and watched as his men opened a truck-sized metal container in the middle of the delivery bay. With that secured, they could now move on to the next phase.

He pulled out his phone and dialed a number. It took only a few seconds for the person on the other end to pick up.

"I received the goods as planned." He told them. The contact sounded concerned for some reason. What was there for them to worry about? "What? All Might?" Ah, Japan's #1 Hero. While it did complicate things, they'd accounted for such an outcome. "Don't panic. We'll deal with it."

His contact's concerns were not fully assuaged by Wolfram's lackadaisical attitude. But at the end of the day, he was the one in charge. Sliding his phone back into his pocket, he cupped his chin, deep in thought. "All Might is on this island…" he muttered. Though All Might's presence presented few problems, he was tempted to personally handle it. He wanted to see how he'd fare against him.

*BZZZ*BZZZ*

Sighing, he took his phone back out. It was one of his henchmen, calling to inform him about their status around the bunker. "We've restrained them. There were five guards. Everything's going according to plan." Wolfram appreciated the man's brevity.

"The security system is still working. Keep them bound without killing them." He replied.

"Affirmative."

*CLICK*

This time, Wolfram let his arm hang by his side. Just in case someone called him again. Minor annoyances aside…

"It's going smoothly." He mumbled. They'd encountered zero issues up to this point. And if things went according to plan, his employers would follow through with their promised reinforcements. Shouldn't take that much effort to set up a proper drop off point for them to arrive on. "We're going to move, too." He confidently said aloud. It was time to get this operation underway.

I-Expo Central Tower:

Everything was proceeding according to the report. Alucard, now fitted in a custom tailored tuxedo, stood patiently alongside the rest of Class 1-A as they gathered in the front lobby. His outfit was largely identical to his usual clothing, though that was more so because he always dressed formally. Although the shy peeks and glances from those around him had not gone unnoticed. He'd tease them when it was more appropriate, he smirked. The party meant to celebrate David Shield's grandiose achievements was to begin soon. They'd be spending the rest of the night socializing, eating, and reveling in the company of many of the world's most prominent figures.

But he cared little for that.

No, he was here for the main course. Having posted his shades throughout the entirety of I-Island, he was keenly aware of all of Wolfram's movements. He was fully aware that an unknown sponsor had deployed reinforcements, although one hardly needed to be a genius to grasp All For One's role in this adorable little operation. By the estimates of Hellsing's agents, his foes tonight would number in the thousands. With such an extensive network of tunnels and hallways in the already expansive I-Island, employing large numbers of minions was only natural. But the real question was, how powerful were they? While he had little expectations for the common cannon fodder, Alucard hoped that the higher-ups could hold their own.

While Hellsing had found no evidence suggesting the purpose of this undertaking was to off All Might, All For One certainly wouldn't skimp on the forces he deployed. After all, David Shield's most recent invention was an item of particular significance. A headset device that amplified Quirk's. How quaint. The man had most assuredly designed it with the intent of mending All Might's pitiful condition.

*SWOOSH*

"Sorry I'm late!" Said the bundle of anxiety that was Izuku Midoriya as he came bumbling through the doorway. "Huh? Wait, where's everyone else?" the boy wondered.

He sighed in dismay. Whoever had selected Deku's outfit lacked any sense of style whatsoever. The stale-brown, striped jacket already looked abhorrent. Yet add the conflicting contrast between it and Deku's green hair, and you were left with a messy ensemble conjured from the lowest recesses of society. The bowtie wasn't helping either. Alucard had always preferred neckties ever since first being introduced to them. They simply made one's attire look more complete than a bowtie could.

His classmates had arrived in a far more presentable fashion. Todoroki's choice of a white suit and red necktie complimented his hair splendidly. Iida's yellow tie and blue suit matched his office-worker personage. Kaminari and Mineta made a pleasant duo, both standing side-by-side wearing identical tuxedos. If there were sufficient time, Alucard considered dragging Deku aside and fixing his suit himself. While appearances mattered little to the vampire, he'd invested enough time into this boy that he hoped Deku could put more effort into looking the part.

"They're not here yet. What do they think 'attending as a group' means?!" Iida shifted angrily in place. Their dear Class President never let himself relax. Not even now, when Melissa Shield's party had been designed for the sole purpose of happily celebrating her father's many accolades. In actuality, the true nature of her party hadn't been divulged to those attending. Only that it was an important celebration that everyone should rush to participate in.

*SWOOSH*

"Sorry! I'm late…" In entered Uraraka, dressed in a frilly pink skirt with black stockings covering her legs. Her white rose hairclip was a nice touch. A symbolic representation of her status as a plain flower. Kaminari and the grape-head were far more excited than he, however. Had their resident pervert successfully converted Kaminari to his cause, or was that the blonde's true nature? Thankfully, Deku appeared to be handling himself far better than he would have in the past.

Were in even a month prior, the poor boy's eyes would have begun leaking sweat and his hands rubbing hard enough to start a forest fire. There was still visible admiration in his irises, but that was reasonable. Uraraka wasn't unattractive by any means. The only issue being that her competition in that department was fierce.

*SWOOSH*

The gates slid open once more, revealing the alluring duet of Momo Yaoyorozu and Kyoka Jiro. The two had developed a close-knit relationship ever since the USJ Incident, with Jiro often being the one fending off Mineta's lurid gaze. This time, however, that task would be more difficult than ever before. Yaoyorozu's choice of attire was… understandable. With her Quirk siphoning off calories, she'd been cursed with an eternally shapely form. Her hero costume did little to cover it up. In fact, it further accentuated her curvaceous hips and buxom chest. So her decision to wear a thick ballroom gown made sense. She'd styled her fiery ponytail into the shape of a peacock's tail and had even added a golden headband to match her light green dress. Sadly, her garb left enough hints that any degenerate could easily guess what lay underneath.

"I apologize, but Jiro…" She didn't even get to finish her sentence before the deviant duo butted in, eyes glued to her womanly physique as they cheered gratefully.

"Oh, yes! Yes!" They cried out in unison. They'd have plenty of material for later that night. Although, if everything went according to plan, their minds would be preoccupied with other matters.

Shifting his consciousness to one of his familiar's, Alucard caught a glimpse of Wolfram and his cronies taking control of I-Island's security system. Assuming they were the type to flaunt their power, which he knew they were, and assuming David Shield's designs lived up to his reputation, it would be one more hour before things got underway. That meant one hour for Alucard to enjoy cavorting with these heroes and political figures. And while he was at it, perhaps he'd take the time to stir up some international conflict?

"I'm… not used to clothes like this." Jiro tugged her earphone jacks as she nervously approached them. Unlike Yaoyorozu, she hadn't been gifted with the genetic boon of a Junoesque physique. Her outfit was much like Uraraka's, only with the inclusion of her black waistcoat and a dark purple bow tied around her waist. So while she wasn't unappealing, she did receive remarks such as "The clothes make the man, right?" and "She looks like a female assassin…"

Not particularly flattering comments, but neither were they outright mocking her physical appearance. Kaminari and Mineta possessed some decency, at least. Of course, that drop of consideration didn't stop her from shoving her jacks into their earlobes.

"Shut up." Her voice grew unnaturally deep and imposing as she addressed the two debauchers.

"I complimented you…" Kaminari whined, shivering from the aftershocks.

"No, you didn't." she replied coldly.

Unnoticed by anyone else, Alucard sniffed out the many scents pervading through the room. From the deviant duo, he smelled the obnoxious stench of hormones and sexual desire. That was obvious. Yet with his enhanced sense of smell, Alucard could also smell other, more unique scents. Such as Todoroki's growing suspicion around "Alexander Anderson's" fight with Stain. Admittedly, Alucard might have just read his mind to get that but the point still stood. And outside of that, he could tell the growing feelings of affection between Deku and Uraraka.

But one didn't have to a telepath to get that impression.

"It's my first time wearing formal clothes. I borrowed this from Yaoyorozu…" Uraraka said timidly, shaking her wrists nervously as she spoke.

"It looks good on you." He replied, his cheeks taking a distinctly red hue. "Yeah, really good."

"Oh, Deku!" She shouted, spinning frantically around and waving her arms dismissively. "You don't have to flatter me…!" With how cowardly and transparent he was, it would likely take some nudging from an outside party to make the two clear lovebirds actually do something with their feelings. But who could possibly be so discourteous?

Walking up behind Deku, Alucard gripped his shoulder and asked

"Deku, are you alright?"

before giving the boy a light shove. If caught, he could easily play it off as an overuse of force in an otherwise reasonable inquiry. As expected, Deku was too preoccupied with ogling Uraraka to react to him, and he was sent tumbling straight into the object of his affections.

"UWAAAAH!" The stubborn couple cried out. Both made attempts at breaking away while also looking visibly hesitant. They were enjoying the contact while simultaneously abhorring it, providing Alucard with an unending source of amusement.

"Uraraka?!" Shocked by their public display of affection, Iida joined in and subsequently put a stop to it. Party-pooper.

*SWOOSH*

Uraraka and Deku immediately broke off as the door slid open once more. Shaken by what had just occurred, they hardly reacted to the person who'd just entered.

"Oh, are you all still here? The party's starting!" Trotting down the hallway towards them, Melissa Shield immediately drew eyes. She'd taken her long hair and made it into a ponytail with a red hairband. She had also ditched the glasses and put on some contact lenses. Her strapless dress left almost nothing up to the imagination. With a bosom as bodacious as Yaoyorozu's, her choice of attire was questionable to say the least. She at least had the awareness to wear a long white skirt that reached her knees, but beyond that her blue dress covered relatively little.

"The headliner has appeared!" A weeping Mineta shrieked, his eyes morphing into fountains of tears.

"Crap, Mineta, I can't take this anymore. What should I do?" Keep it in your pants, that's what you should do.

Deku, stilted and robotic after what he'd just experienced, carefully joined Alucard by his side. To any spectator, he might have appeared calm. The neutral expression on his face made him seem content. Jovial, even. But in Alucard's omniscient gaze, it was clear that the boy was desperate to create some distance between himself and the many gorgeous young women converging around them. He was still recovering from actually touching Uraraka, that much was clear.

"Alex-kun…" Deku meekly hid himself behind his tall compatriot. Evidently, he hadn't made the connection between what'd happened and Alucard's machinations. Timidly shirking watchful eyes of all those around them, he tried to make himself as small as possible. Uraraka, meanwhile, was keen on gauging who Deku preferred between herself and Ms. Shield.

"Yes, Deku dearest?" Alucard nonchalantly replied, subtly poking Deku out from behind him. He had his own problems to deal with, such as Yaoyorozu's lingering gaze. Much like Uraraka, Class 1-A's vice president was intent on garnering his attention. But unlike All Might's airheaded pupil, he was astute enough to catch on. He understood that "Alexander Anderson" was the most appealing out of all the male options in Class 1-A, if not U.A. as a whole. Her feelings would serve nicely as another appetizer before the main course.

"I-I know we practiced talking to girls, but…" the knob in his throat bulged outward, "I don't think you prepared me for anything quite like this…"

"Hmm?" Alucard raised his chin in thought, tutting as he sighed deeply. "I suppose not. I certainly didn't foresee a social event of this magnitude occurring so early in your development." He patted Deku on the back. "But fret not, my friend. A classroom is no replacement for real world experience."

"But Alex-kun…" Deku moaned. Oh goodness, the boy's teary eyes were staring so pleadingly at him. It wasn't necessarily that Deku opposed spending time with women. Rather, he found the higher stakes daunting. A formal gathering like this also increased the humiliation one would suffer if they made any grave errors. For example, getting a nosebleed at the mere sight of a woman. Stepping on their toes while dancing. Spilling your drink on yourself. Tripping over your own feet. The list went on.

Alucard sympathized with him, but those risks were par for the course. Confidence doesn't come from always making the best decisions, but rather knowing how to deal with your mistakes. And he hoped that Deku could take something away from all the mistakes littering his path tonight.

I-Expo Central Tower Reception Hall:

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to I-Expo's reception party! Let's have the number one hero, All Might, who is visiting us today, say a few words and lead us in a toast! Everyone, please give him a round of applause!" The man with the microphone signaled at All Might. "Please, come to the stage!" His face a little red from embarrassment, All Might gladly joined him.

As everyone in the room gave All Might their sincerest welcoming applause, Alucard and the other members of Class 1-A stood together next to the lavish dinner table. Those less accustomed to such an opulent setting were in dire need of proper guidance, and the only ones suitable for the role were himself and Yaoyorozu. Iida also seemed capable, yet his rigid adherence to the social order made following him a rigorous mental exercise.

Alucard might have been willing to provide them with some wisdom on how to conduct themselves, yet he was preoccupied at present. As his classmates all grouped up around Yaoyorozu, "Alexander Anderson" found himself swarmed by a bevy of lovely female suitors' eagerly seeking his fancy. The stunning youth received as much attention as the pro heroes, as even some of the female heroes felt themselves drawn to the princely student.

"Alexander Anderson, is it? I like that. It really rolls of the tongue."

"You're from Europe? I've heard there're lots of parties there amongst the upper classes. I'm doubtful of my dancing skills, Alexander. Would you mind giving me a few lessons?"

"Don't mind her, Alex. She can't dance for sh… anyway, you should come with me."

As he attempted to ward off the growing horde of women, he was reminded of how he'd felt when he was still human. Back in that bygone era when he was a young political hostage cavorting in the halls of the Ottoman Empire. Even then he'd been swarmed by aristocrats and merchants, all seeking to gain power by marrying off their daughters. And in those days, there'd only been one person capable of freeing him from their grasp.

"Wha- hey!"

"Who are you?"

Alucard was dragged back into reality when he noticed a growing number of women angrily glaring behind themselves, a visible divide slicing through their lines. Then, as the line reached him, a split formed in the wall of people in front of him. The air grew tense as a shadowy aura permeated through the crowd. As the source of this thick atmosphere revealed itself, Alucard cheerfully sighed.

"Madam Yaoyorozu." He bowed respectfully. "I'll admit, I did not see this coming."

Not bothering to even ask for his permission, she took a firm grasp of his wrist and proceeded to drag him out of the circle. As everyone gasped in shock at this abrasive kidnapping, Yaoyorozu hid her expression under her bangs. Then, once she was sure that they were beyond their reach, Alucard was treated to the most adorable sight he'd seen in the past month. He struggled to hold back his laughter as he peered at her face. Puffed cheeks and pouty lips, she'd unconsciously adopted the look of the jealous "tsundere" that so many children were obsessed with.

"My oh my!" Alucard faintly cooed. "I never imagined the day would come where I'd see you don such an expression, Yaoyorozu." Her cheeks only reddened further as he kindheartedly mocked her.

She was all too aware of the impression she'd given, but that hadn't stopped her. Watching Alexander get mauled by those women had awakened some impulsive desire deep within her being. She knew she was acting very immature, yet couldn't muster the self-control to stop herself. The enigma that was Alexander Anderson had intrigued her since the USJ Incident. The nature of his Quirk was inconsistent and erratic. He claimed he could create animals yet had clearly demonstrated that he could also conjure inanimate objects as well.

He'd stepped out of bounds during the race at U.A.'s Sports Festival, a move which didn't fit someone as intelligent as him. And the way he carried himself… Nobody was just born that mature and levelheaded. From staring down Bakugo to singlehandedly defeating both Stain and the leader of the League of Villains, there was obviously something more to him. But behind her suspicions, other feelings had started to fester.

Meanwhile, Alucard was loving this. He sensed the well of emotions swirling inside of her head. The emotional turmoil sprouting within her made for an entertaining show in itself, yet was only enhanced when he focused on her facial expressions. So animated and random they were. Not stopping to rest for even a second, her expressions alone validated everything he'd experienced up to this point.

Going through the numbers once more, he estimated another five minutes would pass before Wolfram made his move. Just enough time for one last sample.

"If I may." He purred, lacing his arms around hers and guiding her to the center of the ballroom.

"Eh?" She stuttered, her look of utter shock giving way to surprise as realization dawned on her face. "Eeeeeeehhh?!"

Meanwhile...

"Explosives set and ready, sir."

"Are Squads 1 and 2 in position?"

"Affirmative. They're ready to subdue the hostages upon your order."

"Send some men to the coastline. I've received word that our backup should be arriving there soon. Once that's done, commence the operation."

"Yes sir."

Center Of The Ballroom:

"A-Alex-kun…"

"Yes?" Alucard was busy hiding his laughter beneath a pleasant smirk.

Since he'd brought her to the dance floor, the two young students had become the center of attention as everyone found themselves entranced by the picturesque combination of the devilishly handsome boy and his gorgeous partner. Yaoyorozu had attended private parties like this before, but never had she been the focal point of everyone's eyes. The burden weighed heavily upon her, and so she found herself making far more mistakes than someone of her status should have.

"Sorry… Sorry… Sorry…" She apologized profusely each time she stepped on his toes.

Meanwhile inwardly, Alucard was giggling madly. The trappings of mortal forms meant nothing to him, so what might have been excruciatingly painful for them was easily disregarded. Watching her anguish over their dance was a sidesplitting performance for his enjoyment. But of course, he had his own role to play.

"Madame…" he crooned softly, drawing her attention away from the spectators and focusing it onto him. She was caught off guard by the cheerful grin he was wearing. Was he mocking her? "You needn't concern yourself with them. After all, you're the star of tonight's show." In tune with the orchestra, they waltzed in perfect unison across the deck, elegantly twirling and swaying over the marble floor.

Amazed by how smoothly their dance was going and how natural their movements felt, Yaoyorozu noticed herself making fewer and fewer mistakes as time went on. How was this possible? How was it so easy for this newcomer to just show up in class one day and take over? He'd already established himself as one of the premier talents at U.A. Now here he was, one-upping her and the rest of Class 1-A once more. There was never a moment where she didn't find herself perplexed by the regularity with which he surpassed everyone's expectations.

How could he so easily capture the minds of those around him, captivating their imagination with his dashing hair and sultry gaze, only to disappear from view just as fast? How could he deliver such powerful kicks and punches with such a deceptively lean frame? The ease with which he dealt out defeat after defeat made her question why she even bothered training when there were people like him running around Japan. He danced around the hearts and minds of everyone he met, goading them into his waltz while simultaneously keeping them at arms length. The only one to have penetrated his defenses so far was Deku, and even then their relationship seemed more like a mentorship than an actual friendship. She especially felt that now, as Alexander twirled her by the waist once more.

"See?" He gloated, gesturing at her legs which now moved in perfect sync with his own. "Pay no attention to anyone else and you'll find navigating life much simpler."

"How can you make it all look so easy...?"

"Hmmmm?" As the music toned down, he pulled her closer to fit the more intimate atmosphere. She stuttered anxiously at the close proximity. However, she was stronger than that.

"You know what I'm talking about, Alex-kun. You act like you're as oblivious as everyone else, but don't think I haven't noticed. I still haven't forgiven you for forfeiting the race."

"Madame-"

"Anderson." She cut him off before he could change the subject. This was something he did all the time, and no matter how... caring... he acted, she would have none of it. It was about time she got some answers.

He gave her a knowing smirk before pulling her into his chest. She panicked slightly at the sudden change but could do little to stop him. With their arms linked and his lips achingly close to hers, Yaoyorozu blushed madly. As he drew nearer, she almost gave in to him. But then, torturously, he just grazed her and leaned into her ear, murmuring sensually

"I haven't the slightest idea what you're referring to."

before pulling away and sending her a smile that was both sadistic and sweet. Appetizers shouldn't bite back, after all.

"It's no good. Neither Bakugo nor Kirishima are picking up." Said Iida. He'd tried calling them to ask where they were, but neither of them had answered. Growing concerned, Iida scrolled through his contacts while wondering if there were problems with the internet connection.

While he was busy tinkering with his cellphone, All Might finally made his way on stage. He'd intended to take the stage earlier but was delayed when Alexander Anderson and Yaoyorozu Momo stole the spotlight. Not that he'd complain, of course. In fact, he'd joined everyone else in watching their dance for a short stint. But then once the music simmered down and the pair seemed to be reaching the end of their romp, he decided now was the time for him to give his short speech. The duo bowed before the grateful applause and cheers of the sizeable crowd, Yaoyorozu's flustered face looking like a ripe tomato next to Anderson's composed demeanor.

But at long last, All Might took hold of the microphone.

"Thank you for inviting me. I am All Might. I don't like formal talk, so-"

*BBZZZZZTT*

Out of nowhere, the large display behind All Might began showing a red, blaring emergency alert. As Alucard rejoined his classmates, he let out a euphoric sigh. Right on schedule.

"This is an announcement by the I-Island security system." The automated announcer began. "We have received a report from the security system that an explosive device was placed in the I-Expo area. I-Island will now be in high alert mode. Residents and tourists should return to their homes or lodgings. Those that have come a long way should go and wait at the nearest evacuation center. Anyone still outside ten minutes from now may be arrested without warning. Please refrain from going outdoors. In addition, most of the main buildings will be sealed off by the security system. I repeat-"

*SWOOSH*

The gates forcefully slid open, revealing multiple squads of well armed mercenaries. At the head of the pack was Wolfram, now donning his villain outfit. A ridiculous outfit, at that. He may as well have cut the edges off a piece of paper and stuck the resulting mess to his face. "It's just as you heard. We have taken over the security system. Don't think you're going to put up a fight. If you do..." He pointed at the display, the screen now showing footage of civilians being surrounded by I-Island's security robots. "Then the security machines will bare their fangs at all the good people on this island. That's right. All the people on this island are hostages. Of course, you all are, as well." Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of the complications as his finger then moved to point at the floor. "Do it."

As he gave the order, several holes opened in the carpet. At first glance, they appeared to be runway lights. That is, until they sprayed out a neon blue rope which immediately entangled all of the pro heroes in the room, including All Might.

"This isn't good!" Japan's #1 Hero struggled against the restraints. In his weakened state however, couldn't manage to break them. He'd been in his muscled form for too long. Simply maintaining it took almost all his concentration. Sadly, he couldn't do anything even if he were still in his prime. Why?

"Don't move!" Wolfram drew his pistol. "If you take even one step, then I'll kill everyone here in a second."

"Shit!" Oh dear, Alucard giggled. Such language was unbefitting of the Symbol of Peace.

As All Might acquiesced and stopped resisting the ropes, Wolfram smirked arrogantly. "Good boy. You're all going to learn from All Might and do what I say quietly, right?"

Alucard made sure that everyone from Class 1-A stuck close to him as Wolfram's minions corralled them into a corner with the rest of the hostages. Settling deep within the crowd, he made eye contact with Deku. The boy had a stern expression on his face. That was a nice change of pace, transitioning from panicked eyed darting everywhere to an earnest gaze searching for solutions. Tapping him lightly on the shoulder, the two crouched and hid behind the ocean of shoulders.

"What should we do, Alex-kun?"

"They've taken control of the security system, Deku. We cannot move without them noticing. Therefore, our most logical option is-" he sat down on the floor. "To wait for our chance."

"Alex-kun...!" Deku whispered frantically.

"It is precisely when your opponent holds the advantage that an opportunity presents itself." He stated, keeping his voice low.

By now, Yaoyorozu and Iida had joined the pair and formed a little circle with them.

"Do you have any ideas, Iida?" Deku wondered.

"I'm afraid..." he pushed up his glasses. "I have to agree with Alex-kun."

"As do I, but still... we can't just sit here and wait for a miracle..." Yaoyorozu clenched her fist, her voice firm yet soft so as not to attract unwanted attention.

"Yes. However, I trust Prof. Shield's abilities. I'm sure he put measures in place in case something like this ever happened. No doubt there are heroes on the mainland gathering to save us." Iida reassured them. "It's just too risky to act on our own. So for now, we just need to wait for our moment."

"But how will we know?" Deku leaned on Alucard's shoulder, desperate for support.

"Oh, I'm certain we'll be able to tell." He replied coyly.

Near The Coastline:

"Has the boss given us any new orders?"

"No. We were told to watch the coast and tell him if authorities show up. That's not an order he'd rescind unless something went really wrong."

The two mercenaries were standing guard at the edge of I-Island, keeping a close eye on the miles upon miles of open ocean that surrounded it. They'd been deployed there because someone had to be the lookout and provide some measure of defense. However, one couldn't help but feel a tinge of dismay at the thought that they'd be missing out on all the action. After all, they'd taken control of I-Expo's security system. All the phone lines were cut off from the mainland, meaning there was no hope for anyone on the island to call the police.

"Can't help but feel a little disappointed. I'm a seasoned veteran, but here I am on the outskirts. Not even allowed to see the real fight..."

"You and the hundreds of us who're also stationed out here on the border. Sure it's boring, but somebody's gotta do it."

Apparently they were supposed to pick up some kind of important package, but that job had been given to somebody else. They'd been left with basic guard duty, which didn't leave much room for them to have fun. Worst part of it was that there wasn't even a good view. The sun was down, and it was too dark to see out into the surrounding ocean. Wait, was it too dark? Now that he took a closer look, it seemed more like a dense fog had begun rising out from the waters.

"Hey, is it just me or is it starting to get really cold?" he rubbed his shoulders as the temperature began dropping to near frigid levels.

His companion stopped for a moment to breathe the air. And as he did so, he realized he could see his own breath. They were wearing insulated combat suits, so they could handle lower temperatures. But for the temperature to fall from reasonably cool to thick coat weather in such a short period... something was up. Yet as they watched the horizon, the two guards saw a thick fog slowly rising from the waves. The two men could do little else but observe as their line of vision shrank underneath the gray veil. They stared blankly at the mist as it began steadily enveloping all of I-Island. Not even moonlight could pierce the dense haze. Soon, not a soul could see beyond the foamy wall.

"Uh, command...?" he pulled out his radio. "This is Sector Patrol 9A reporting in. We have lost visual of the coastline, do you copy? Over..."

"*BZZZT*BZZZT* ...-COMMS ARE-... *BZZZT* ...-ULL BACK IMMEDIA-... *BZZZT* ...-UNKNOWN ASSAILAN-... *BZZZT*"

An unsure expression under his helmet, he shut off his radio and glanced worriedly at his companion. As the two mercenaries wondered what could possibly be happening, a deep, sinister chuckle echoed across all of I-Island.

Author's Notes: Expect a bloodbath next chapter. Still debating on whether I should stick with Wolfram as the main villain or go all out with a whole bunch of other villains showing up, like a Nomu or Nine or so on. I want to save some for future fights like this, that way I don't run out of "fuel" too early. Suggestions are appreciated. And if you're theorizing that Alucard will enter a romantic relationship with Yaoyorozu, I'd advise lowering your expectations. I'm still not sure if "love" is something Alucard is familiar with. "Affection", sure. But since it's so far down the line, I'm leaving it up in the air. If the day ever comes where I'd consider it, the most probable candidates would be Mirko or Yaoyorozu. Maybe another will join that group, depending on how the story progresses. Please leave me plenty of feedback so I can iron out any more problems in my writing. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you in the next one.
