This will be very similar to the "Return to Amphibia" chapters, except it's the trio visiting their deceased loved ones in the afterlife.

Afterlife Realm
Anne Boonchuy, Guardian of the Multiverse, had already visited her living family on Amphibia and on Earth. She obviously couldn't stay with either forever, but occasional visits will have to suffice.
However, one place she hasn't been yet is what the old Guardian's notes referred to as the Afterlife Realm. It's not exactly a dimension as much as it is a plane of existence separate from the living world. That being said, teleporting to this realm is no different than going from world to world.
Now seemed like a good time to see her loved ones who died before she did (the second time). She probably should've come here as soon as she got the hang of her Guardian powers but for whatever reason she'd been holding back. Well, better late than never.
Anne appeared in a forest possessing a mix of Earth and Amphibia trees. She didn't have much time to process this before she was suddenly face-to-face with a tall red frog wearing a fancy suit and bowler hat. He had sideburns and a goatee on his face, and he carried a cane topped with a golden bird that looked like a cross between a plague doctor mask and Marvel's depiction of the god Khonshu.
He spoke. "Greetings, Anne Boonchuy. My name is Mr. Littlepot. I believe Hopediah Plantar described me to you once."
Anne thought for a moment, trying to recall this mysterious frog from Hop Pop's stories. Her eyes widened when it finally clicked. "You're Death."
"Indeed I am," said Mr. Littlepot. "Welcome to my domain."
"Why do I have to keep dealing with the stories from that day?" Anne muttered.
If Littlepot heard her, he made no indication. "Allow me to take you to your destination, Ms. Boonchuy."
Anne walked with the frog of death as he explained how things work in the Afterlife Realm. The realm itself is kind of a mini-multiverse of its own, with different afterlives for different worlds. Normally these afterlives remain separate and distinct, but the actions of Anne and co. meant the human and amphibian afterlives are irrevocably connected. He explained that each afterlife has a "Good Place" and a "Bad Place", but only the absolute worst of the worst go to the latter. Anne had no reason to set foot there unless she wanted to torture any of the damned souls. Anne decided to pass on that offer, but she knew Sasha and Marcy might not.
He also explained how the afterlife isn't permanent. Anyone who wants to leave can pass through the fog at the Plain of Departure and their souls will dissolve into light, becoming one with the universe.
As they approached the edge of the forest, Anne decided to ask the question that had been gnawing at the back of her mind ever since she got here. "Is… is there… another me here?"
Mr. Littlepot shook his head. "No. Your original death only destroyed your body." He looked at Anne with an expression that was almost comforting but still looked off-putting with his thin orange eyes. "Your soul was transferred from your original body to the copy. You are, and have always been, the only Anne Boonchuy."
Anne breathed a huge sigh of relief as that but of existential angst she'd been carrying for the past 78 years went away. She wasn't just a copy of Amphibia's savior. That was always her.
They exited the forest and Anne saw a practically endless array of buildings. In one direction there were a bunch of Earth ones originating from a vast array of cultures and time periods, and in the other were ones from Amphibia. The two groups met in the middle.
"How does anyone find their house here?" asked Anne.
"You'd be surprised how easy it is to reach your destination," said Littlepot. "Here in the afterlife people get where they want to be with little effort." He pointed toward the homes in the center. "Go to your family. They've been waiting for you."
And with that, Mr. Littlepot disappeared. Figuring the literal embodiment of death would know more about the Afterlife Realm than anyone else, Anne followed his directions. Most of the humans and amphibians she passed stopped in shock when they saw her— she is a well-known hero in both worlds, after all— but she paid them no mind for now. She let her feet guide her through the twisting streets until she finally found what she was looking for: the Plantar farm, right next to her parents' house.
Anne wasn't sure which one she should enter first, so she conjured a coin. "Heads for the farmhouse, tails for my old place." She flipped the coin and it landed tails up.
She walked up to the front door and found that it was unlocked. It looked exactly the same on the inside as it did back on Earth when her parents were still alive, right down to the most minute details. She didn't see anyone inside yet, but the voices she heard from the kitchen indicated she chose correctly.
She peered into the kitchen and saw five people sitting around a table. Her parents were there, looking about as old as they did when she was born. They were talking to three frogs. Two of them she didn't recognize but the orange one was definitely a younger Hop Pop. He had no wrinkles and sported tall blond hair that Mr. Littlepot apparently took years ago.
"I never even thought about what young Hop Pop would look like." Anne didn't even realize she'd spoken aloud until everyone turned to face her. "Uhhh… hello."
"Anne!"
The Boonchuys rush out of their seats and give her a massive hug. Anne happily leaned into it after decades without getting a hug from her parents.
"You finally came here!" said Oum
"What took you so long, Anne?" asked Bee. "It's been four and a half months since you started this Guardian business. You couldn't have visited us a little sooner?"
"I'm sorry, Mom and Dad. I'm in a complicated situa— wait, you know I'm a Guardian!?" Anne was shocked beyond belief, since she only ever told Sasha and Marcy about what would happen to her after death.
"After you die, you can observe the world of the living," said Oum as she guided Anne to the living room. Bee followed and turned on the television, which displayed Sasha and Marcy's current whereabouts.
"What ever happened to that giant stylus you used as a backscratcher?" asked Sasha.
"It's in the basement somewhere," said Marcy. "I stopped using it once you bought a real backscratcher."
Sasha hummed in understanding.
Bee turned off the TV. "It's not always interesting but still, we can see our loved ones when we want to."
"We've seen you be a Guardian on many worlds but we can't see wherever you go in between," said Oum.
"That makes sense," said Anne. "My home base is in some sort of rift outside the normal multiverse. Anyway, it's so good to see you!" She turned toward the orange frog who had followed her parents out of the kitchen. "You too, Hop Pop!" She gave her adoptive grandfather a hug as well. "It's been too long!"
"It sure has," said Hop Pop. "You grew up to be quite a remarkable woman, Anne. That aquarium exhibit you designed was so touching."
"Thank you," said Anne. "But that's nothing compared to your achievements, HP. You got that avocado dynasty after all!"
"Well, shucks." Their hug ended and Hop Pop took Anne's hand. "C'mere, there's two special frogs who wanna meet you." He guided her to the two frogs she didn't recognize: a purple woman with orange hair and a reddish man with blond hair like Hop Pop's. "Anne, I'd like for you to meet Weed and Pollyannamarie Plantar."
Anne gasped and tears came to her eyes. "You're Sprig and Polly's parents…" The frogs nodded. "It's such an honor to meet you."
"The honor is all ours, Anne," said Weed. "It means so much that our little tykes had such an amazing big sister."
"Why don't we all head back to the table and exchange stories?" asked Pollyannamarie.
And so they did. They chatted about the goings-on of their world, how proud they are of each other, what exactly Anne's guardianship entails, and whatever other topics came to mind. Anne had no idea how long the six of them chatted in the facsimile of her old home. It might've been a couple of hours, or it could've been weeks. It doesn't matter since she had a duplicate back at her base. At some point Oum suggested Anne go out and talk with some of their afterlife neighbors. She saw many of her friends from Amphibia: Wally, Loggle, Ivy, Stumpy, etc., and also some friends who were admittedly closer to Sasha or Marcy like Captain Grime and Lady Olivia. She reconnected with several allies from Earth she had seen more recently, like Dr. Jan and Humphrey Westwood and those old ladies who used to coddle her at the Thai temple. Everyone was happy to see their savior again.
Eventually it was time for Anne to leave for now. She would return many times, of course, but right now she needed to fully get back to Guardian duties. However, right as she was about to go, she was approached by a pink frog who resembled a female version of Sprig.
"I'm not sure what I should say first: Thank you or I'm sorry." Leif had a sad look on her face. "I'm incredibly grateful that you destroyed the Core, helped Andrias see the error of his ways, and ushered in an era of amphibian unity that was unheard of for centuries. But you went through a lot of pain, and I'm responsible for all of it. And for that I'm so incredibly sorry, Anne."
"Hey, it's okay," said Anne in sympathy. "I'd rather have gone through that pain than let the Core stay in power. Besides, if you want to blame anyone, blame the old Guardian. They let hundreds of worlds get conquered and did nothing about it." There was a faint yet noticeable bitter tone in Anne's voice.
"I suppose so," said Leif. "I think the role of Guardian is in good hands. You and your wives are truly capable of making the multiverse a better place."
Anne smiled. "Thank you, Leif. That means so much."
These all take place after the Return to Amphibia chapters to be consistent with them not knowing the fates of certain characters there.
And yeah, Anne's soul being transferred from one body to another is my headcanon/interpretation for what happened.
Weed and Pollyannamarie were Sprig and Polly's original names in development, so I thought they were fitting first names for Mr. and Mrs. Plantar.
