This is the door that both Jason and Elizabeth will choose. I hope you have enjoyed my story. I still do not own the characters they belong to ABC and General Hospital.
Lila watched her grandson try to figure out what he wanted to do. "You find it easier if you just open the door. Just trust your heart. I know you will make the right decision."
Jason walked thru the third door. He prayed that it was the last one and that he could figure out what he wanted to do. He found himself awake in Greece. Hayden walked into his hospital room to check up on him. "I see you are finally awake. Just pretend you are still asleep because they are coming soon to get us. I pray that someone will figure out where we are and save us."
"I have faith that our family will figure it out and come here. They just need to believe. I believe that Elizabeth will get us out of here with Drew. I just have that feeling. Take care and we will soon be home."
Liz woke up from her coma the same time as Jason. She looked at Drew and started to cry. "I need your help. When I was in a coma I saw Lila, Alan, Emily and my grandfather, Steve. They wanted to show me what choices I could make while I was up there. Jason is alive and I have seen him too. He is in a coma in Greece. We need to find out if they have any John Doe's there and get him. Do you believe me?"
Drew knew that Elizabeth believed what she saw. He did not have the heart to say no to her, so he made some calls. He found out that there was someone who fit his brother's description and was brought to the hospital around Thanksgiving. He called his mother and asked if he and Elizabeth could use the family jet.
"I will do you one better. I will go with you because Elizabeth will need medical attention and so will Jason. We can take the boys if Elizabeth wants them there. I will have the jet ready in an hour. I will pack your things too and have the boys pack their things and something for their mother. Let me talk to her doctor and have him sign off on Elizabeth."
Drew told Elizabeth about what was going on and she was happy that they believed her. "Thank you for believing in me. You are the best."
Drew drove Elizabeth to the airfield where they met Monica and her sons. Cam did not tell Joss he was going anywhere. Monica told Michael that she was taking the kids on a trip with Drew and Elizabeth. They would be back in a few days.
Michael knew not to look too deep because he knew it had something to do with his mother. He was not sure why, but he knew if she heard about Elizabeth and Drew going, she would have a fit.
They landed near the hospital and went to the ambassy. The doctors were ready to take Monica to see her son. Everyone followed and Elizabeth was thankful that Drew believed her. Monica and Jake went in to see Jason first. Jake was so happy to see his father. "I missed you so much dad. Mom believed that you were alive and that she saw you. I know that strange things happen over here in Greece, so I knew to believe her. I am going to call Danny to tell him that you are alive. I know that he missed you as much as I did. I love you dad."
Monica walked out with Jake so he could call his brother. Drew and Elizabeth walked in next. Jason was thrilled to see his brother and Elizabeth. "You believed us. I knew that she could tell you about me and you would find me. Thank you for all that you have done. Elizabeth, Hayden is the one who helped me. She is here hiding in one of the rooms. You could call Finn to tell him about Hayden or should we just take her when they release me?"
Aiden and Cam came in when Elizabeth went to find her sister. They were both in shock but knew why they could not tell anyone from home where they were going. Cam and Aiden hugged Jason and left to find Jake. "It looks like they have abandoned us. I need to tell you that things are bad back home. Sonny and Carly are divorced. Sonny is with Nina and Michael hates Sonny now. Carly invested in Aurora to help Michael and myself and Ned turned on us. Valentine is still CEO and there is no merger between the two companies. She lost her half of the hotel. She is going to come after you like never before. If you do not want to be with her, you need to make yourself clear as soon as you see her. Nina bought out Carly's half of the hotel so now she is out to get Nina even more."
Jason knew that he wanted to be with Elizabeth. He did not want to be with anyone else but her. "Drew, are you interested in Elizabeth? I am not sure what has happened since I left, but I do not want to step on your toes or anyone else's if you are together. I still love her, and I never stopped."
Drew knew that Elizabeth still loved Jason. She could have told anyone about Jason being alive, but she only told him. He hoped that he had a chance but knew that the two of them deserved too finally be together. "No. Elizabeth ended things with Finn and now that Hayden is alive, I know she will want Hayden to be with Finn and Violet. She feels that she was a substitute for her sister, but she never blamed him for that. They both wanted Violet to feel like she was loved and that her mother was trying to come back home to them."
Jake contacted Danny. "Danny, I am in Greece with my brothers, mom, Uncle Drew, and Grandma Monica. When my mom was in a coma, she saw that dad was in one too and alive in Greece. He is awake and we will be able to take him home soon. He wanted me to tell you that he loves and misses you. Do you want Uncle Drew to call your mom and tell her?"
Danny says that he will tell her, but to give their father a hug from him and Scout. Jake told him that he would and that he would text him when they were coming home. "I love you, Danny. Tell Scout that I love her too." Danny said he would and hung up.
Danny went to see his mother who was talking to Carly. He then saw Dante and decided that it would be better to tell him until Carly left. "Dante. I have good news, but I do not want to tell mom until Carly leaves. My dad is alive in Greece. I also heard someone say that Violet's mom, Hayden is the person who saved him, but some bad people were after them."
Dante took it all in and wondered if he was about to lose Sam now that Jason was alive. The two of them hung around the pool with Rocco and Scout. Danny knew that he needed to tell his mom after Carly left.
Monica had spoken to Jason's doctors, and they signed off on letting him go back home. Elizabeth found Hayden and the two of them talked about what happened in Greece and what was going on in Port Charles. Hayden had some things, but she did not want to go back to her hotel room in case they were there to kidnap her again. Elizabeth lent her some of her things and they all got ready to go back home.
Hayden called Finn to tell him that she was on her way home and that Elizabeth had saved her. She then got to talk to Violet. She could not wait to get back and see how much her little girl had grown up. "I wanted to tell you that Finn and I dated for a little bit after Franco was killed. We tried to be there for each other and for Violet and the boys. You were deeply missed, and I know that Finn still thinks about you. I hope you know that I love you and glad that you are back."
When the plane landed, Finn was there to pick up Hayden. He thanked Elizabeth and Drew. Violet went over to hug her mother and then everyone else. Hayden knew then that her daughter was loved by everyone. She was genuinely happy about that.
Monica brought Jason and Elizabeth to Elizabeth's home. They dropped off the boys and then Drew took Monica home. Joss called Cam and he told her about Jason. "Mom and Jason are still trying to get their strength back so can you hold off on telling your mother. I know that she will want Jason to leave, and he deserves to breathe before dealing with her." Joss agrees and says she will see him later at Kelly's.
Drew goes to Kelly's to pick up lunch for everyone at Elizabeth's house. He sees Carly come in and tries to get out before she spots him. He is not fast enough, and she asks where he is going with all that food. "I am helping Elizabeth out while she recovers. Mom has been going back and forth making sure everyone is doing okay too. I must go so the food does not get cold. I will call you later."
Carly knew that something was up. She knew that Drew liked Elizabeth, but this was pushing it a bit. She decided that she needed to see what was going on there. She pulled up and parked her car. She walked to the door when she saw Danny with Sam.
"Sam, I did not know you cared so much about Elizabeth. Why are you here? Hi Danny!" Danny and Sam looked shocked to see Carly. They only said hi.
Danny knocked on the door and Jake opened it up for his brother. Danny walked in with Sam and Carly. Jake was not too happy to see Carly. Drew walked over to Carly and asked her to leave. "You need to go Carly. Elizabeth is not up for visitors."
Carly wanted to say something when she saw Jason walking down the stairs. He heard her and knew she would just walk up the stairs if she thought something was going on behind her back. Now she knew she was right. "You are alive. Why am I finding out about this now? How did you get home?"
Elizabeth came downstairs when she heard Carly. "I am the reason that Jason is back home. I had a feeling that he was alive and asked Drew to make some calls for me. He was alive and Monica took us on the family jet, and we brought him and my sister Hayden home. He is very weak still, so I am going to ask you nicely to leave." Carly was not having it.
"Well thank you for bringing my husband home, but we will have to be going. Jason there is so much I need to tell you. I know that Jake and Danny are important, but I need you now. We can get married because I divorced Sonny." Jason knew that he was going to have to tell her exactly how he felt. He knew she was not going to take this well.
Drew, Elizabeth, Sam, and the boys went into the dining room to eat while Jason took Carly outside. "I am not going to let you get my family upset. I am not your husband or fiancée. When Sonny came back everything changed. I know that I love Elizabeth and always will love her. I have not put her first, but I am starting now. I should never have told you that I loved you. I started to feel that way about you but seeing Sonny that night made me realize that it was just a pipe dream for the two of us. I do not want to hurt you, but you need to understand that I have everything that I need right now. You are not a part of it. If I wanted you to know that I was alive and coming home, I would call you. You know that is true. I did not want you to come over here and disturb my family like you just did. I will never love you like you believe I do, and I will never marry you." Jason then looked at her and went back into the house.
Carly was still trying to get Jason to leave with her and Drew came over to stop her. "Jason loves Elizabeth, and they are destined to be together. They were both in comas and were able to connect. That is not friendship, it is true love. I could see the look in her eyes that she honestly believed that he was alive. Everyone else had given up on him. She tried to stay out of his life because she wanted him to be happy. When he left to help Britt, it was hard for her. She was dating Finn, but the true spark was not there. You need to leave and please do not call or visit until Jason is up to your visits."
Carly slammed out to her vehicle telling everyone she would get back what was hers. Drew then went to sit down with everyone, and he prayed that she would stay away from him and his family.
Jason was feeling a little bit better once she left, but he knew that it would not last that long. He just hoped he was wrong. Elizabeth and Sam were happy that Jason was home. The boys hugged both Jason and Drew. Cam then took the kids out to the movies. He knew what was going on and that he and his brothers did not need to be there. Cam included Danny and Scout as family too.
The men sat on one side and the women on the other side. Drew called Dante to come over because he should know what was going on. The five of them sat down and talked out their feelings. Jason said that he was still in love with Elizabeth. She admitted that she still loved Jason. Sam told them she was incredibly happy for them, and that Dante was the one who held her heart. Drew felt like the odd one out and that is when both Elizabeth and Sam told him that he was the best friend that they could ever have. They gave him a hug and Drew knew that he was in the right place in his life. His family was his life.
Jason knew that he needed to talk to both Sonny and Carly. He knew what she wanted but he needed her to know where he stood. He also needed Sonny to know that he was not going back to the business. He was able to talk to Maximus about his future and there was going to be a meeting about whether they would let him go.
Monica, Joss, and Michael came over to see Jason. Michael was able to tell Jason his side of the story about why he was mad at Sonny. Jason looked at him and realized that he needed to help bring father and son together. "Michael, I know that you will not want to hear what I have to say about your parents. Sonny was torn up when he came back from Nixon Falls. He realized that everyone had gone on without him and that your mother and I had just been married. Nina is an easy target because she did not tell anyone about your father. I realize that she has hurt you more than you are able to manage because you are used to getting what you want. Everyone has made their share of mistakes, which includes me and you. What Nina did was wrong, but she has apologized for it. Your father's feeling towards her should not have anything to do with his relationship with you. Your mother can manage things on her own and when everything is laid out about my future, she will not be in it. She has vested too much time believing that I will always be there for her and that our friendship would never go away. When she realizes that I love someone else, she will tear this room apart. I love both you and Joss. Your mother means a lot to me, but I have let her make my decisions for way too long. I have put her and her family before my own and that will not happen again. I am heading over to talk to your mother and then I will see Sonny. I hope you understand where I am coming from and that you do not push me aside like you have done to your father."
Joss and Michael were shocked to hear him talk so much. They knew it was best to be far away from their mother when Jason finishes telling her that he has chosen someone other than her. Monica was proud of her son at that moment. She knew that Hurricane Carly was about to rain down on him and she prayed that he could stand up to her and not cave.
Jason went to see Carly at her home. She lost the hotel, so she did not have a job to go too. He knocked on the door and Carly was waiting for him. "I know that you are ready for us to get married. I need you more than I ever have, and you must save me. I cannot go on without my hotel and I need revenge on the people who have hurt us. Elizabeth should never have brought you back here. I could and should have known about it so I could have gotten you. You are mine and not hers. I will take care of her, Sam, and Britt. You need to take care of Sonny and Nina. Then we can have the power back and I can have my hotel back."
Jason knew he needed to tell her that she was wrong on everything. He was afraid that everyone he loves was going to be in the crossfire. "Okay. First, we are not getting married. I know that we planned too but Sonny is back. I know you divorced him for sleeping with Nina, but that had nothing to do with me. There is only person who I would marry and that is Elizabeth. We have a connection, which is real, and no one can come close to it. I can be with my sons again and the best thing is I am trying to get out of the five families. I have a meeting with them and Maximus. You will never be a part of that again. It was only because we believed that Sonny was dead. I talked to Michael and Joss about what is going on and I hope that one day Michael can forgive Sonny for what happened. You need to keep going on with your life like I am not here. If you try to hurt anyone in my family, I will make sure that you get what is coming to you. I will never go back to you, and I will never love you like you deserve. I want to be your friend, but I realized that it might be too much for you. Just know I will be watching, and you need to let go of this great love you think we have because it was never there. There was a hook-up, I took care of Michael and then you cheated on me. I have helped you out, but my heart was never in it for you like you want to believe. I need to see Sonny. I will talk to you later."
Carly got mad when Jason walked out. She could not believe that he would leave her for anyone, but especially Elizabeth. She knew they had a connection since she found him in the snow, but she thought by now that link was broken. There was only one way to get Jason back and that was to take out Elizabeth and Jake. She would leave Danny alone because Sam loved Dante. She called up a friend from when she took over from Sonny. She asked Selina Wu if she would take out the nurse and her son. Selina told her that she would get back to her shortly. Selina did not want to get caught in the middle of that land mind and called Sonny.
Jason went to gym because that was the best place to find Sonny besides his restaurant. He needed to blow off some steam and the gym was the best place to go. Jason walked in and saw his best friend. Sonny came over to him and gave him a hug. "I am happy that you made it back to us. I know Carly must be thrilled. You know about my divorce from her and that I am seeing Nina. I am not sure where it is going, but it has been a lot of fun. My family blames me for everything, but they are worse on Nina. I sure hope that Nina realizes that she made a mistake by buying the hotel from Carly. It is going to make everything a lot harder to fix. Do you want to hit the bag or go into the ring?"
Jason knew that going into the ring would be the wrong thing. He was not ready to get into a boxing match with Sonny, and he was not sure if he was even ready for the bag. "I came by to tell you that I am not coming back to work for you. I have put too much of my life into keeping you and Carly happy. There is no way that I want to get in the middle the two of you. She thinks that since you are divorced that I want to go back to her and get married. Then she wants things to go back to the way it was before you came back. I told her that we were over, but she is stubborn and will not listen to me. She thinks that I want to take over again and I do not want to do that. I just thought you needed to know where things stand. I have talked to Maximus, and I will have to go in front of the five families sometime next week. I hope I have your blessing to leave."
Sonny hugged his best friend and then he said he needed to sit down with him. "I am about to tell you something that might change your mind about a few things. Carly called up Selina to take out Elizabeth and Jake. She is going to meet me at my restaurant in an hour. I am not sure how you want to play this because if Selina does not do what Carly wants then she will ask someone else. The best way is to have Dante and Jordan know what is going on and fake her death. You can do that, and she goes to prison, or you can take Elizabeth and go far away. I know that it is not up to me what happens, but Selina does not want to have anything to do with this. She knows what would happen to her if she did agree to Carly's plan. It is up to you and Elizabeth. You can go to the meeting, but make sure Carly does not see you with Selina."
Jason thought about it and wondered if they could find someone who looked like Elizabeth. He knew that Drew would help and Curtis too. "I think that I might have a way to work this out. I will meet you at the restaurant with Drew when you meet with Selina. I must figure out what Elizabeth wants to do, but the boys will be far away when it all goes down."
Jason went home to tell Elizabeth what was going on. She needed to know that her life and Jake's were in danger because Carly believes that she is the love of his life and that he will do whatever she wants him to do. He knew that Jake and Cam needed to know what was going on because Cam was involved with Joss. This will tear the couple apart if Carly gets her way. Cam would never forgive Carly and that would break up the young couple for sure.
Jason went to Sonny's restaurant to meet with Selina. Elizabeth said that she would go along with whatever they decided to do. She just wanted her children far away when it happened. Monica and Laura were going to take a vacation to California with the boys. Drew was going too and bringing Scout and Danny. Spencer was going to go so he could escape his father and stepmother.
Selina had set it up that it was going to take place at the pier. Elizabeth was going into the harbor. Dante was going to be under the water with tank and air for Elizabeth and himself. Selina had hired someone that would get into an argument with Elizabeth and there is a fight with Elizabeth going into the harbor.
They had a plan for a "Jane Doe" to be Elizabeth. There were more people in on the scheme than most would think. Carly would not know what hit her. Selina had her on tape already but once it happens then Carly will be going down for a long time.
Monica called Jason to tell him everyone was safe at the beach house they were staying at for the week. She might stay longer because it was so beautiful there. Jason and Drew bought it so they could go and relax with the family there. The boys were having a lot of fun and Scout felt like she was one of the boys. "Mom, I wanted to tell you that the plan is for tonight and that we should be on our way to Malibu sometime after midnight. We should get there in time for breakfast if everything goes all right."
"I pray that everything goes the way you have it planned. Carly needs to go down for what she wanted to do. I love you and send my love to everyone." Jason said goodbye to his mother and went back to tell Elizabeth and Sam that everything was going great. The kids did not even miss them.
Selina told Carly what the plans were for Elizabeth, but she would not hurt Jake. Carly agreed if Elizabeth would not be a problem anymore. Carly was so sure that she was getting her way that she planned her wedding to Jason for the next day.
Carly knew when and where the murder was going to take place. She wanted to make sure it went off without a hitch. She planned on being there when the body was found. She was so sure of herself and never thought that Selina would lie to her like that.
Jason and Elizabeth were walking near the docks when someone started yelling at the nurse. She told the nurse that her husband died because of her neglect. She knew that no one cared about her because she was poor, so she had to make the nurse pay. Elizabeth was a bit frightened because she didn't realize that the person who was doing this was an actress. When the two started fighting, it looked like a real fight. Selina knew that her friend was the best one for the cause. No one would see her coming.
Selina's hire had a gun on her and shot Elizabeth sending her into the harbor. Dante was able to get to Elizabeth and take her far away. When Jason heard that Elizabeth was safe and that the bullet was not real, he was able to relax. That was when Carly came out to help Jason get over Elizabeth. She was there quicker than he thought she would be and that made him mad.
Jason decided to let Carly know exactly how he felt about her. She was going to know that he would never be in her life again. "I have a feeling that it was you that ordered the hit on my fiancé. I want you to know that I will never be a part of your life. If I find out that you had anything to do with what happened here tonight, we are through. I don't need or want you, Carly. I have been trying to tell you that since I got back home. You need to leave me. I need to see if anyone can find my Bella. She is my beauty and I pray that I can find someone who can help her."
Carly was beyond mad. She wanted Jason to come back to her and now it looked like even though the bitch might be gone, she is still telling Jason what to do. Carly went to find Selina and realized that she needed Jason to look like he was the one who hurt Elizabeth. Then she could save Jason and he would owe her.
Dante came down the pier a short time later. They brought in the Jane Doe who was acting as Elizabeth. Elizabeth was safely on shore and waiting on the plane with Sam to go to California. Dante and Jason would go when the plane came back later that night. By the time Dante found the Jane Doe, the ladies were halfway to their vacation.
Dante went over to Jason and told him that they found Elizabeth. Jason reacted just like Carly believed he would. She could now convince Jason that they should be married to protect everyone from the person who killed Elizabeth.
Dante had the medical examiner take back the Jane Doe to the morgue. Selina went to talk to Carly. Carly paid the money that she had left to get back what she believed should have been hers to begin with. Once money switched hands, Carly realized that she had been played. Dante read Carly her rights and Jason thanked Selina. Carly was then arrested for solicitation of murder. When Carly was put in jail, it would be the last time that Jason would see Carly until her trial.
Dante and Jason got on the family jet and headed for California. So many things were happening to the family and although most of it was for the good, it still hurt to see the damage that was done because Carly would never let up on her ties to Jason. Jason felt bad for what he did, but Elizabeth meant more to him than Carly every did and that was the main reason why Carly hated the young mother and her son.
Jason and Elizabeth knew that door 3 was the right door for the both of them. They went through the door and never looked back.
