Chapter 10: Domino

A week after the Misfits summoned Shenron, they sailed over the seas toward Domino Island. With the Dragon Balls becoming stone for a year, the crew have set their sights for the Grand Line and need to stock up on supplies. Domino is the last island on the way to Reverse Mountain and the Misfits sailed closer and closer to it.

They soon came to the docks and dropped their anchor. Zika and Hama stayed on the ship, not yet fully recovered, as the others stepped off the ship and headed into town. Bulma and Yasui head off to buy food and supplies as Asuka and Mugen wander off together.

Asuka and Mugen wandered around until coming across a pub and Mugen quickly stepped inside, Asuka followed. They walked inside and sat down at the bartop.

A short orange haired woman limped over to them and smiled, "Hello, boys. What you lookin' for?"

"A juice and a grog." Mugen and Asuka said in unison.

The bartender poured and brought them their drinks. Mugen handed the woman some coins and chugged his grog happily. Asuka sipped his juice and spun around on his stool, looking around the pub.

Sitting at a table in the corner was a man and a woman drinking beer happily. The woman looked over at Asuka and smiled at him. He looked away quickly and spun back around to face the bartop.

Bulma and Yasui visited a few stores and bought food and medical supplies. They stacked their goods on the Flying Nimbus and walked around the town on their way back to the ship. They walked through the town square and heard a piercing laugh, "Tahahahahaha!"

The duo turned quickly and spotted Captain Mowgli walking through the town square with a group of marines. Bulma told the nimbus to fly back to the ship and they speed walked away from Mowgli as the nimbus zoomed off. They walked halfway across the town square when a marine shouted, "Captain! It's Nefeltari Bulma!"

Bulma turned around and saw Mowgli turn toward the duo and smile. Yasui turned his feet into wheels and picked up Bulma. "Hang on tight." Yasui said as he dashed off quickly on his wheels.

"Tahahahaha! The Chop-Chop brat's friends!" They heard Mowgli shout as they sped away.

Asuka and Mugen sat at the bar and drank for a while until the man from the corner stood up and walked over to them. The woman stood a few inches taller than Asuka with short black hair, green eyes and delicately bronzed skin. She wore dirty leather boots, black pants and a dark purple jacket that was zipped down enough to reveal her cleavage. She ordered a glass of wine from the bartender and turned to the duo.

Asuka looked at her, "Hello?"

"You're Senju D. Asuka, right?" She said and took a drink of her wine.

"Do I know you?" Asuka asked, confused.

"Not yet. If you're here then you're heading to the pirate graveyard. We'll be rivals on the sea." She said with a smile, "I've read about you in the papers and I'm interested to see how you do in the Grand Line."

"Hm, are you a pirate?" Asuka asked.

She smiled and said, "I'm Eiffel D. Lucy. I'm the future Pirate King."

Asuka smiled, "You have 'D' in your name?"

"The 'D' is still a mystery to the world, I'm gonna uncover the truth about the D Clan as I travel the Grand Line." Lucy said and finished the last of her wine.

"Well, it's nice to meet you." Asuka said, "I'm gonna crush evil pirates in the Grand Line, I hope we never have to trade blows."

"Nice to meet you two, what was your name?" Lucy asked.

"Mugen."

Lucy smiled and nodded at them, "See you out there." She said as she walked back to her table and picked her sword off of it. Her friend stood up and the two walked out of the pub.

"Hm, we should head back." Asuka said.

"I suppose."

They stood up and walked slowly out of the pub. They stepped outside and saw Lucy and her friend standing in the street, staring at a group of marines. Asuka and Mugen walked up beside the other two and stared back at the marines.

A tall marine with a sword on his head took a few steps forward and said, "Heh hehehe, aren't I lucky? Two of you in the same place."

"Captain Kyoroku, right?" Lucy said, pulling her sword from its scabbard.

"You two are under arrest, I know you wont come quietly so bring it on." Kyoroku said and grinned wickedly.

Lucy gripped her sword ice pick style and dashed at the Captain as Asuka hurled a Chop-Chop Rocket at him. Kyoroku evaded the flying punch and collided his sword with Lucy's. They clashed a few strikes together and the marines flooded in around them. Asuka yanked his arm back and dashed forward to strike Kyoroku but the Captain dodged and slashed his sword through Asuka. Mugen and Lucy's First Mate jumped into the battle and tore into the marines.

Asuka reassembled himself and kicked Kyoroku in the gut with a swift strike. Lucy dashed forward and slashed upward and Kyoroku blocked with his sword. The Captain skipped back and kicked hard, launching a flying slash that cut through Asuka and Lucy dodged out of the way. Mugen dashed passed Asuka and clashed with Captain Kyoroku in an intense flurry of blades. Lucy skipped beside Kyoroku and slashed him in the side, he used Iron Body to reduce the damage and punched her in the chest with a swift strike.

Asuka launched himself at Kyoroku and slammed a heavy fist into his gut. Kyoroku sliced Asuka up into pieces and Lucy skipped away from them. Mugen cut down two marines and dashed at Kyoroku, the two clashed again and the Captain slashed him across the chest.

Lucy cut down a marine and kicked another in the chest and dashed over to her First Mate, "Lee, go get the ship ready. We need to leave soon." Lee nodded and dashed off quickly.

More marines arrived, led by Captain Sterik and backed up Kyoroku. Sterik morphed into his hybrid form and charged at Lucy. She stuck her right hand out and a blue swirling light extended out from her hand creating a transparent blue dome around them, "Shambles." Lucy and Kyoroku switched places and Sterik slammed into him. "Amputate." Lucy swung her sword and cut Sterik in half at the waist but he didn't die. His upper body hit the ground and his legs kept running.

"What the hell is this?" Sterik asked in a panic.

"You're in my Operating Room." Lucy said as she cut up the surrounding marines.

"That's awesome!" Asuka called out as the marines hit the ground in pieces.

Lucy retracted her 'Room' and said, "Well you two can finish this up. See you in the Grand Line." She turned and ran off in the direction Lee had run earlier.

As Sterik and the other marines squirmed on the ground and screamed, Captain Kyoroku stood up and brushed dirt off of his jacket. Asuka patted Mugen on the shoulder and said, "You can have this one, fighting swordsmen is boring."

"You won't hear me complaining." Mugen said as he stepped slowly toward the Captain. He suddenly Shaved forward and clashed blades with Kyoroku quickly. The two Shaved around as they collided, clashing blades and slashing each other as they went.

Asuka sat down on a bench and watched as Mugen danced around with the Captain. Kyoroku slashed Mugen in the leg and punched him in the chin. Mugen kicked Kyoroku in the side and slashed up his chest. They clashed viciously and Mugen slashed upward with his sword in his right hand. Kyoroku jumped back and Mugen followed quickly after him, swinging his sword as he grabbed the tip of his scabbard with his left hand. He yanked a tanto from his scabbard as he collided blades with the Captain and plunged his tanto into Kyoroku's side!

Mugen skipped back and said, "You seem like you haven't had a proper sword fight in a long time."

Captain Kyoroku growled as he charged forward. Mugen took a deep breath and dashed to meet the Captain, they collided blades and Mugen slashed his tanto across Kyoroku's throat. The Captain stumbled back and clutched his throat, gurgling and choking on his blood. He fell to the ground and Mugen cleaned and sheathed his blades.

"Nice!" Asuka said as he jumped back up to his feet.

"Let's get out of here."

The ground and nearby walls cracked as Captain Mowgli blasted a Hyper Scream after the duo as they ran. Yasui put Bulma down and they ran quickly away from the marines pursuing them.

"We can't lead them back to the ship." Bulma said as they turned a corner.

"I don't wanna fight that guy, he's crazy." Yasui said, gesturing back at Mowgli.

Three marines charged the duo and Bulma blasted them down with a gale of wind. They ran onward and Yasui kicked down two more marines as they approached them. The duo began descending steps when Mowgli skipped after them. Yasui leapt behind Bulma and Mowgli blasted him with a Hyper Scream. He launched into Bulma and they tumbled down the steps and hit the ground.

"Tahahahahaha. Nefeltari Bulma, you're coming with me." Mowgli said as he reached down to grab her.

A boy suddenly dashed up and slammed a fierce kick into the Captain's chest. Mowgli stumbled back as Yasui and Bulma skipped back up to their feet. The boy stood just under six feet, he had pale skin and golden hair. He wore sandals, black shorts and a black vest.

"Who are you?" Yasui asked him.

He turned to Bulma and said, "Are you alright, pretty girl?" He smiled.

"Me? Pretty?" Bulma smiled widely.

"This really isn't the time!" Yasui yelled.

Mowgli skipped up and slammed a heavy strike into the boy's chest and blasted him with a Hyper Scream. He skipped across the ground and landed in an awkward position. Bulma jabbed her baton into Mowgli's gut and shocked him as Yasui spun rapidly and slammed a kick into his chest. They turned and ran away from the Captain and saw the boy standing up wreathed in mystical blue flames.

"Tahahahahaha. Fawkes the Phoenix!" Mowgli barked as the boy stood unharmed and smiled.

Bulma and Yasui continued onward as Fawkes and Mowgli clashed in the street!

"Zika! Raise the anchor!" Asuka shouted at the ship as he and Mugen came running down the docks.

Zika jumped into action and raised the anchor, watching as Mugen and Asuka leapt onboard. Bulma and Yasui came racing down the dock from the other direction and hurried onboard as well. Mugen unfurled the sails and the Misfits quickly sailed away from Domino Island.

"We're doing it! We're going to the Grand Line!" Asuka shouted as they sailed off.

"You think that chick made it off the island?" Mugen asked.

"I hope so, she was cool." Asuka said with a smile.

"What girl?" Bulma asked from the helm.

"Some crazy girl with a sword talked to us at the pub and fought marines with us." Asuka chuckled.

"Some weird guy showed up and helped us out back there, the Scream-Scream guy called him Fawkes." Yasui stated.

"He wasn't weird, he was dreamy." Bulma corrected him.

"Sounds like I missed some action." Zika said.

"It was good to have you watching the ship though." Asuka said with a smile.

Three days later the Misfits approached Reverse Mountain. Equal parts excitement and worry sparked in each of them as the current became wild. Bulma blasted the sail with bursts of air to propel them and Yasui took the helm. The crew fought hard to keep the ship on course as the current ripped them forward and they began to ascend the mountain!

They kept the Whore's Pocket Watch steady as they zoomed along with the current, coming to the peak and immediately being plunged down the other side. The ship zoomed down with the current and entered the Grand Line.

The Legend Begins!
