Prologue
If you're reading this, then you must be trying to find out about "The Incident." Or maybe you want to see what the fuss is all about.
Well, then I will tell you. My name is Ruby Rose, by the way. I'm a first-year at Beacon academy and leader of Team RWBY with my teammates Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, Blake Belladonna, daughter of the Whitefang Leader, and my Half-Sister Yang Xiao Long. Pretty cool, right? We were training to be huntresses to defend the world against Grimm, Monsters that destroy everything humanity builds.
But what does that have to do with this? You might be asking. Well, I said we "were," Huntresses-in-training. That's because we - I accepted a mission. And now we have become the very same monsters that we swore to protect the world from, but just because we aren't huntresses anymore, hunted by other huntsmen, unable to walk in broad daylight.
That doesn't mean we abandon our morals and goals. We'll still fight to keep humanity safe.
By the way, this is the story of how we became the Grimm Huntresses or the Grimm Maidens. We haven't agreed on a name.
