Chapter 27: The Shin Family

Huey dropped Shuhei near the edge of town and he grabbed onto the edge of a tall building. He pulled himself up to the roof as Huey circled around and flapped quickly toward him. Huey kicked down and Shuhei blocked it with his right arm, they exchanged blows and Huey slashed Shuhei with his talons. Shuhei kicked Huey in the side and slammed his fist into his forehead. Huey flapped up and sent three Tempest Kicks slicing down at Shuhei, he dodged away and the top of the building was cut open.

Shuhei leapt down into the building and dashed to the stairs, he began descending the steps and Huey lost sight of him. Huey flapped around the building and sliced into it with a barrage of Tempest Kicks, pieces of the structure slid and toppled over as Huey shredded it.

Yasui sped at Luey and kicked up at him, Luey caught his foot and threw him at Zika as he dashed forward. Yasui slammed into Zika and they fell down hard as Hama lunged forward and slammed into thugs with a Single Fang Strike! Luey morphed suddenly into a hybrid bison form and charged at the duo.

Zika skipped up and slammed his fist into Luey's stomach, Yasui rolled away and skipped up to his feet. Luey kicked Zika in the side and Hama leapt onto his back and bit into Luey's shoulder. Yasui sped forward and kicked Luey in the chest as Zika punched him again in the gut. Luey grabbed Hama and slammed him into Zika, they fell back with a yelp and Yasui attacked the bisonman.

Yasui and Luey exchanged heavy blows and Yasui slammed a savage kick into the bisonman's head. Zika and Hama leapt up and slammed into the nearby thugs with their Fang Over Fang as Luey slammed a heavy fist into Yasui's chest. Zika spun around and hurled several shuriken that stuck into Luey's back. Yasui ducked beneath a punch and Luey kicked him in the chin with a swift strike.

Zika and Hama struck Luey in the side with their Fang Over Fang and knocked him down hard. Yasui stumbled up to his feet and a thug hurled a net made of Seastone on top of him, he fell to the ground quickly and more thugs charged Zika. Hama slammed into the charging thugs and Zika barraged a series of swift strikes into Luey's chest, "Wolf Fang Fist!" Luey stumbled back and lunged forward quickly, he slammed a heavy punch down on top of Zika's head. Zika dropped to his knees and fell forward as the thugs kicked and struck down Hama.

Duey kicked down the door of a munitions shop and began chowing down on bullets, cannonballs and cannons. He stuffed his face full and burped loudly, he turned to the shopkeeper and said, "My big brother handles the money."

"Okay." The shopkeeper said nervously and nodded.

Duey stomped out of the shop and pulled out his Baby Transponder Snail. He called his older brother and waited as the snail rang.

"Yes?" The response came through the snail.

"Big bro, Tao, I need your help finding some punks." Duey whined into the snail.

"Who are these punks, little brother?"

"I don't know. Just come down here." Duey whined.

"I'll follow your vivre card. Stay out of trouble until I get there." The call ended.

Duey tucked his snail into his pocket and laughed. He looked to the surrounding thugs and said, "Come on." He stomped off and looked for the punks from earlier.

Asuka, Mugen and Renji stood above a beaten and bloody Hama. His white fur had patches of red and he was breathing abnormally. They looked around the docks and didn't see anybody around but spotted shuriken scattered around.

Mugen kneeled down and patted Hama on the head, "It's alright, boy. Brace yourself." He carefully picked Hama up and walked him onboard the ship.

Asuka clenched his left fist and pulled out his Baby Transponder Snail with his right hand. He called Bulma and waited for her to answer.

"Asuka?"

"Yasui, Zika and Hama got beat up." Asuka said simply, "Hama is here on the ship but the others have been taken."

"Oh my god! Is Hama alright?" Bulma responded quickly.

"He's alive, Mugen is taking care of him right now." Asuka got to the point and said, "I'm gonna find these guys and kick their asses."

"Asuka, come to the northeast part of town and meet me at a tall red building." Bulma said.

"Alright, we'll be there soon." Asuka said and ended the call.

"This day is getting worse by the minute." Renji said and sighed.

"Mugen let's go!" Asuka called at the ship.

Mugen stepped into view and looked down at Asuka and Renji, "I'll catch up with you later."

"Alright." Asuka nodded, "Let's go, Renji."

Zika and Yasui were thrown into a cell in the basement of the mansion, Teru sat in a chair staring at them. He looked at his Black Transponder Snail and smiled, "Ooh, you have feisty friends."

Zika and Yasui remained silent, both beaten up. They stared back at Teru with rage in their eyes.

"Your little pirate group will be crushed by my brothers." Teru said with a devilish grin. "You'll all become slaves and I'll ship you off to Yorknew City. Except for that Nefeltari girl, I'll keep her here with me." Teru cackled.

"Fuck you!" Zika angrily shouted.

"You're gonna get your ass kicked." Yasui said with a smile.

"Oh?" Teru laughed and grabbed his Transponder Snail. He waited as it rang in his hand.

"Yes?"

"Tao, find a big red building in the northeast of town. Those punks are hiding out there." Teru said slowly.

"Is that all you can give me?"

"Just look, little brother." Teru chuckled and ended the call.

Shuhei erupted out from a pile of rubble and breathed heavily. He looked up to see Huey flying around the broken tower. Shuhei dashed toward the town and Huey dived down quickly, he slammed a kick into Shuhei's back and sliced him with his talons. Shuhei remained on his feet and spun around quickly, he barraged a flurry of heavy punches into Huey's chest and the hawkman flapped up into the air.

Huey flapped around and sent a hail of Tempest Kicks down at Shuhei as he dashed away. The ground around Shuhei was sliced up as he ran forward and ducked down as Huey dived down to kick him again. Huey flew up into the air before Shuhei could counterattack and sent a large Tempest Kick down at him. Shuhei dodged and the giant slice ripped into the ground.

Huey flew down and exchanged blows with Shuhei and Shuhei slammed a Finger Pistol into the hawkman's chest. Shuhei grabbed Huey's ankle as he flapped up, he yanked him down and slammed Huey hard against the ground. Huey leapt up and slashed Shuhei across the chest with his talons and flapped away quickly.

They stared at each other as Huey flapped in the air above Shuhei, both catching their breath. Huey pulled a pill from his pocket and swallowed it, Shuhei could feel something happening to the hawkman as he popped the pill.

"What the hell was that?" Shuhei called up to the hawkman.

"You're about to find out!" Huey screeched and dived down quickly, he slammed a heavy kick into Shuhei's chest and knocked him down.

Shuhei jumped up to his feet and ducked beneath a kick from Huey. They exchanged rapid blows and Huey pecked Shuhei in the chest. Shuhei used Iron Body as he blocked a swift kick and he slammed his left fist up into Huey's chin. Huey flapped up and kicked Shuhei in the side of the head, he flew further up and sent three Tempest Kicks down at Shuhei.

Shuhei dodged two of the slices but the third slashed him in the side, he clenched his jaw and stumbled back as Huey dived down at him. Shuhei blocked a kick with his right arm and used his left hand to grab Huey's other leg. Huey flapped up and flew high into the sky as Shuhei was latched to him.

"Shit!" Shuhei called out.

"Bad move." Huey said and kicked Shuhei in the face, he let go of Huey and plummeted down.

Panic flooded through Shuhei as he fell toward the ground. He kicked at the air below him desperately and began leaping through the air. He had never attempted it before but had seen his father Moon Walk in the past, he skipped down through the air and landed on the ground. He spun around and grinned as he gave Huey the finger.

"The Shin Family work for Madam Wakaba, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. They capture people and send them to Yorknew City where they're sold off as slaves. The marines here on the island are in business with the Shin Family as well, they make drugs together." The Great Saiyaman said and nodded.

Asuka and Renji sat with Bulma and Great Saiyaman in the red building, listening to the masked man explain the situation in Karakura Town.

"Who exactly are the Shin Family?" Renji asked.

"The oldest brother and leader of the gang is Shin Teru. His second in command, the second born Shin Tao. And the three officers are Shin Huey, Shin Luey and Shin Duey." Great Saiyaman said slowly.

"Take me to their leader." Asuka said.

Great Saiyaman nodded and said, "They have a mansion in the middle of town."

"Get down!" Renji suddenly shouted.

Cannonballs struck the building and exploded, the building splintered and broke apart easily. The four of them leapt from a window as the building was blown apart and they landed in the street.

Thugs in black aimed weapons at them and laughed. Duey stood with both of his arms morphed into cannons, he grinned as he looked at Renji and Asuka. Beside Duey was a tall man with long black hair tied in a ponytail. He wore a yellow kimono and carried two swords on his right hip.

"That's Tao and Duey." Great Saiyaman said.

Duey aimed his cannon arms at the group and Tao stopped him from firing. "Teru wants the girl and the others will be sent to Yorknew." Tao said with a grin.

Tao Shaved quickly and swung both of his swords at Asuka, Mugen suddenly appeared and blocked with his sword. Mugen grinned wickedly and clashed blades with Tao quickly as the thugs charged forward at the group.

Bulma blasted the thugs with a gust of wind as Asuka, Renji and Great Saiyaman dashed forward and attacked. Renji struck down thugs with his Power Pole and Asuka barraged a flurry of mad punches as he barged through the thugs and clashed with Duey. Great Saiyaman leapt at three marines and struck them down with swift punches.

Duey blasted the ground with his cannon arms and Asuka was knocked back. Duey charged and swung his left cannon down at him. Asuka Shaved behind Duey and slammed a savage punch into his back. Duey stumbled forward and blasted his cannons behind him, Asuka leapt over the explosions and kicked Duey in the back of the head.

Luey charged up in his hybrid bison form and slammed into Great Saiyaman, knocking him down hard. Renji skipped at Luey and struck him in the shoulder with his Power Pole, Luey kicked Renji in the chest and knocked him back. Renji used Iron Body and Shaved at Luey, they exchanged a flurry of heavy blows and Renji struck him in the stomach with a Finger Pistol.

Bulma ran over to help Great Saiyaman and a tranquilizer dart struck her in the neck, she stumbled forward and fell to the ground. Thugs moved onto her and picked her up, Great Saiyaman sprang up and barraged a flurry of blows at the thugs.

Duey's left arm returned to normal and he pulled a pill out of his pocket, he swallowed it and smiled at Asuka. Asuka launched a Chop-Chop Rocket and Duey dodged out of the way. Asuka yanked his arm back and Duey blasted his right arm cannon at him. The blast was significantly more powerful than before and Asuka was struck back hard. Duey ran and picked up Bulma as Great Saiyaman fought with the thugs and dashed away.

Asuka sprang up and five thugs charged at him. He shot his right hand forward with his fingers extended out, "Chop-Chop Hand Grenade!" His fingers and thumb shot off of his hand and struck into the thugs like Finger Pistols. He pulled his hand and fingers back as he charged after Duey.

Mugen and Tao clashed blades and jumped around quickly as they fought. Tao leapt up in the air and swung his swords, a cross shaped flying slash flew at Mugen and he clashed his blade against it. He knocked the flying slash to the side and it ripped into the ground beside Mugen, he grinned and dashed at Tao as he dropped back to the ground. They clashed blades and Tao slashed an 'X' into Mugen's chest.

Renji sensed Asuka and Great Saiyaman's 'voices' chasing after Duey as he clashed with Luey. He struck Luey in the leg with his Power Pole and used Iron Body as he slammed a punch into Luey's chest. Luey kicked Renji in the side and punched him in the forehead. Renji stumbled back and grabbed his head. Luey lunged forward and Renji pointed his staff at him, "Power Pole Extend!" The staff elongated and slammed into Luey's chest, he was struck back and crashed into a group of thugs. Renji turned and chased after the others.

Shuhei Moon Walked at Huey and they exchanged blows in the air as they clashed. Shuhei kicked Huey in the chest and jabbed a Finger Pistol that Huey dodged. Huey slashed Shuhei in the back with his talons as he flapped around and Shuhei Moon Walked after him.

Huey flapped around and sent four Tempest Kicks that Shuhei dodged around and he slammed a savage kick down on top of Huey's head. Huey dived down and flew back up as he recovered from the blow and Shuhei chased after him. Huey flew at Shuhei and slammed a heavy kick into his chest and flapped above him, stomping onto his head. Shuhei plummeted down and recovered as he Moon Walked to avoid a tree.

Huey dived at Shuhei and slammed his beak into his back. Shuhei cried out in pain as Huey shoved him down through the air and slammed him into the ground. Shuhei rolled and got up slowly as Huey flapped in the air above him. Shuhei grinned and popped his knuckles, Huey flew at him and they exchanged rapid blows.

Shuhei kicked Huey in the chest and Moon Walked up into the air, Huey flapped after him and sent a Tempest Kick that Shuhei easily dodged. Huey used Iron Body and slammed into Shuhei and they crashed into a tree. Shuhei wrapped his legs around Huey's torso and pointed his right index finger at his head. Huey flapped his wings in a panic as Shuhei blasted him in the face with his Spirit Gun!

Mugen slashed Tao in the side and kneed him in the stomach. They exchanged a mad flurry of blades and Tao slashed Mugen across his stomach. They clashed blades and Tao jumped back, hurling another cross shaped slash at Mugen. Mugen dodged to his right and Shaved at Tao, he leapt in the air and twisted around quickly, "Iron Reaper Soul Stealer!" He slashed Tao's left shoulder and landed behind him.

Tao spun around and clashed blades with Mugen as they leapt around. Thugs surrounded them as they fought and were cut down by both of them for getting in their way. Mugen gripped his hilt and focused as he swung his sword at Tao and projected a flying slash that ripped into his left side.

"Fuckin' awesome!" Mugen shouted as Tao stumbled back and gritted his teeth.
