Chapter 28: Sucker Punch
Mugen kicked Tao in the chest and swung his sword horizontally at him. Tao dodged back and lunged forward, he clashed blades with Mugen and they leapt around quickly. They exchanged a flurry of blades and Tao slashed Mugen across the chest with both of his swords. Mugen leapt in the air and swung down, Tao blocked and slashed Mugen up his right side and kicked him in the stomach.
Tao skipped back and hurled a cross shaped slash at Mugen, who dodged to his left to avoid the flying slash. Tao Shaved at Mugen and slashed his blades across his stomach. Mugen stumbled back and dodged away from Tao as he lunged at him. Mugen clashed blades with Tao and sliced his leg as they jumped around.
"You're strong but still a novice." Mugen said and grinned.
Tao placed the pommels of his swords together and spun them quickly in his hands. He propelled himself forward at Mugen and ripped into him with a hurricane of slashes, "Whirlwind of Death!"
Mugen flew back as cuts appeared all over his body and he hit the ground hard, "Gah!" He rolled around as his blood rained onto the ground beneath him. He pulled himself up to his feet and stared at Tao, "That was a good one."
"You're a tough bastard." Tao said and spat on the ground.
Mugen took a deep breath and hurled a flying slash at Tao, who blocked it with his swords. Mugen Shaved forward and leapt in the air, he swung his sword down and sliced into Tao's left shoulder. He landed behind Tao and they exchanged a mad flurry of blades as they clashed wickedly.
Shuhei walked away from Huey and sat on a bench as he caught his breath. He looked over and saw Huey getting up to his feet and wiping blood from his mouth. He popped another pill and cracked his neck.
"How the hell did you survive that?" Shuhei asked, annoyed.
"I'm stronger than you." Huey said and grinned.
Shuhei stood up and put his fists up. Huey flapped his wings and flew away from Shuhei and headed back into town. "What the?"
Shuhei dashed after Huey and rushed back into town. He dashed around people and jumped over crates in the street as he followed after Huey. Shuhei kept running and spotted Huey as he flew down to a large mansion. He looked around and saw marines and thugs running around the streets and he ducked into an alley.
"They're heading this way!" Someone across the street shouted.
Shuhei peeked over a barrel and saw a large man carrying Bulma sprinting down the street toward the mansion. He spotted Asuka, Renji and some weird guy chasing after him.
"Chop-Chop Rocket!" Asuka launched his arm at Duey and it was smacked away by a marine. He yanked his arm back as marines charged forward.
"Justice Kick!" Great Saiyaman leapt forward and slammed a series of savage kicks at the marines.
Renji smacked his Power Pole into marines and struck them down with heavy punches. Duey made his way into the mansion as dozens of marines blocked the trio's path. Two marines stood in front of the others, both tall with black hair.
"That's Lieutenant Lee and Ensign Holf." Great Saiyaman said.
"Corrupt marines." Asuka said.
"The other one is almost here." Renji said.
"Make this easy and surrender, boys." Lieutenant Lee said slowly.
"Eat shit." Asuka said and dashed at the marines, the others following his lead.
Asuka hurled a Chop-Chop Hand Grenade and struck down marines as Lee and Holf dashed forward. Renji struck Lee in the side with his Power Pole and they exchanged heavy blows. Great Saiyaman and Holf leapt at each other and exchanged rapid blows as they leapt around. Asuka reassembled his hand and yanked it back to his arm and he crashed into marines and barraged fierce punches at them.
The trio clashed with the marines and Luey charged at them in his hybrid form with thugs following him. Renji used Iron Body and slammed a swift punch into Lieutenant Lee's chest, he twirled his Power Pole and struck him in the knee. Ensign Holf kicked Great Saiyaman in the stomach and they exchanged a flurry of heavy blows.
Asuka crashed into the crowd of marines and they threw a Seastone net over him, he stumbled and fell to the ground. The marines struck him with the butt of their rifles and heels of their boots.
Great Saiyaman slammed a savage kick into Holf's head and Luey slammed into his back. Luey and Great Saiyaman hit the ground and rolled around as they struck each other with awkward punches. Renji elongated his Power Pole and struck Lee and Luey with both sides of the staff, knocking them down.
Renji twirled the elongated staff and slipped one end through the net, he plucked the Seastone net off of Asuka and threw it down onto Luey! Asuka popped up and barraged heavy punches into the surrounding marines.
"Stop right there!" A voice echoed.
They all turned to see a muscular man with black hair and an evil smile holding a gun to Bulma's head.
"Bulma!" Asuka shouted.
"Shit." Renji muttered.
"We have two others as well, Zika and Yasui." The man said with a cackle as he pressed the barrel of his pistol hard against Bulma's temple.
"That's Shin Teru." Great Saiyaman said quietly.
"Don't hurt her." Asuka said and sighed.
Teru cackled and shouted, "Arrest them!"
Shuhei watched the marines free Luey from the Seastone net and arrest Asuka, Renji and the weird looking guy. He backtracked down the alley he was hiding in and made his way away from the mansion.
Shuhei listened and tried to sense Mugen as he moved down the street. The guy with the gun didn't mention Mugen, he must be alright or at least not under arrest yet.
He sensed bloodlust in the air as he ran and headed in the direction of it. He heard the sounds of metal clashing against metal as he dashed down an alley.
Mugen and Tao clashed blades and slashed into each other as they leapt around quickly. Both of them were covered in cuts and blood and were breathing heavily as they battled. They continued their clash and Tao twirled his swords and propelled at Mugen with his Windmill of Death. Mugen Shaved suddenly and evaded the attack as Tao sped passed him and he slashed his blade down Tao's back.
Tao gasped and cried out as he stumbled forward and fell to the ground. Mugen spat on the ground and stumbled as he walked and fell to the ground as well. Shuhei appeared from an alley and helped Mugen back up to his feet.
"Where'd you come from?" Mugen weakly asked.
"The others got captured so it's up to us." Shuhei said as he dragged Mugen down the street with him.
Asuka, Renji, Zika, Yasui and Great Saiyaman sat in a cell together, sitting on the ground as armed thugs stood just outside. They sat there in silence as the thugs chatted about selling them all in Yorknew.
Teru approached the cell with a grin on his face and looked down at them, "Hello, boys."
"You're gonna pay for this, Teru!" Great Saiyaman shouted.
"I'm gonna kick your ass!" Asuka weakly yelled at Teru, Seastone cuffs around his wrists draining him.
Teru laughed and pointed at Asuka and said, "Yeah, you've done great so far."
"You used a hostage, that's the only reason you're still standing." Asuka stated matter-of-factly.
Teru laughed and slapped the bars of the cell, "Oh well. I'm sure you'll all make great slaves."
"Just wait, we'll get out of here soon." Asuka said and grinned.
"Oh? Are you praying for your friends to come rescue you?" Teru laughed and said, "We'll hunt them down soon enough."
"Where's Bulma?" Zika asked.
"She's being taken care of in her private cell." Teru said and grinned. He turned and walked away from the cell and out of the door.
Teru made his way through the mansion and came to an infirmary where he found his four younger brothers in beds. He looked at the four of them and shook his head.
"Big bro?" Duey asked quietly.
"You need to take it easy on the Energy Steroids." Teru said sternly, "We make drugs, we shouldn't take them."
"I needed them, big bro!" Duey whined, "Those punks caused me a lot of trouble."
"No excuses. Just rest up and we'll get to work in the morning." Teru said slowly.
"I wanna kill those kids." Duey whined.
Teru walked away and made his way upstairs to his bedroom. He opened the large double doors and closed them slowly behind him. He looked across the room at a large cell in the corner where Bulma sat.
"Let me go." Bulma said to him as he looked at her.
"No, I don't think I will." Teru chuckled and said, "You're mine. All mine."
Bulma looked horrified, "W-What?"
"You're mine, you belong to me now." Teru stated with an evil grin on his face. "I'm not giving you to the marines. I'll sell your friends to Madam Wakaba and keep you all to myself."
Bulma remained silent and curled up in the corner of her cell. She looked around the room carefully looking for any means of escape.
The night slowly passed and the sun began to rise on Karakura Town, a new day welcoming the island. Shuhei and Mugen had slept in a rundown building next to the docks so they were able to watch the Whore during the night. Shuhei had snuck over to the ship and grabbed food, medical supplies and Hama and brought them back to the rundown building.
Mugen was bandaged up and peeping out of the windows as the sun rose. He looked over to the middle of the room where Shuhei and Hama were sleeping. They had to go and rescue the others. And Mugen wanted to fight Tao again.
"How the hell are you walking around?" Shuhei asked from the floor.
"I just needed to eat and sleep. There's no way that dual wielding bastard could seriously injure me." Mugen said and grinned.
Shuhei slowly stood up and stretched as Hama got up and yawned. Shuhei patted Hama on the head and said, "Glad you're okay, Hama."
"So then what's the plan?" Mugen asked.
"They're in a mansion in the center of town." Shuhei said slowly, "From what I saw, there are five big shot thugs and dozens of marines that we'll have to deal with."
"There's the fat one that can eat anything. The one with the swords. There was that bison guy." Mugen said and thought for a second.
"Then there's the guy that held Bulma hostage and a hawkman." Shuhei explained.
"So then, freeing the others is priority number one." Mugen said with a grin.
"We shouldn't bother getting into serious fights until the others can fight alongside us." Shuhei sighed, "This sucks."
"Let's go."
"We need to get out of here." Renji whispered to the others.
"You're the one that told us to wait until morning." Zika whispered back.
Renji looked at Asuka and then at Yasui, "Why didn't they put cuffs on you?" He asked Yasui.
Yasui shrugged, "Dunno."
"Probably because I can chop myself up and slip between the bars." Asuka said slowly.
"Makes sense." Zika said and nodded.
"So, what's the plan?" Great Saiyaman asked.
Renji sensed the two thugs standing guard outside of the cell. He stood up and stretched and popped his back. Renji extended his right arm and chains shot out from his wrist and wrapped around the thugs' necks! He yanked them back and slammed their heads against the bars, knocking them unconscious.
"Nice." Asuka said and grinned.
"What the hell?!" Zika and Yasui exclaimed in unison.
"Well done!" Great Saiyaman excitedly said.
Renji manipulated his chains and dug through the thugs' pockets, he pulled a key off of one of them and used it to unlock the cell. He wrapped the thugs up in his chains as he stepped out of the cell, the others following.
"Let's look around for our stuff." Zika said and began searching desks and chests.
"Look for a key to Asuka's cuffs as well." Yasui said.
"I doubt the key is in here." Renji shook his head and said, "The big boss likely has it."
Zika, Yasui, Great Saiyaman and Renji recovered their gear from around the basement and made their way toward the door, Asuka behind the group. They opened the door and made their way up the mansion.
Four thugs stood guard outside of the mansion, goofing around and playing with their weapons. Shuhei, Mugen and Hama dashed down the street and crashed into the thugs. Shuhei and Hama struck them down as Mugen cut into them. Mugen slashed an 'X' through the large double doors and kicked them down. They made their way into the mansion as an alarm sounded off and thugs dashed around.
Hama sniffed around and bounded down a hall and attacked three guards near a thin wooden door. Thugs aimed and fired their guns and Shuhei and Mugen dodged around quickly as they attacked other thugs.
"You!" Huey and Tao shouted in unison and launched themselves over the railing of the second floor.
"Shit!" Shuhei shouted and ducked beneath a kick from Huey. They exchanged rapid blows as they jumped around.
Tao pulled out his swords and clashed with Mugen wickedly as the shit hit the fan. They leapt around quickly as they clashed and there was a sudden eruption from down the hall.
Renji, Zika, Yasui, Great Saiyaman and Asuka emerged from the door that Hama had run to. They charged down the hall and slammed into thugs as they went. Duey and Luey appeared on the second floor and looked down at the chaos erupting in the mansion. Zika lobbed a grenade up and it exploded beneath the two brothers. The walkway collapsed and Luey and Duey fell down into the action.
Zika and Hama dashed at Luey and clashed wickedly with him as he morphed into his hybrid form. Duey lunged at Renji and Yasui kicked him in the chest with a savage blow. Great Saiyaman and Renji struck down thugs as they charged forward and Asuka dashed up the stairs.
"Hey, wait!" Great Saiyaman called out and he chased after Asuka.
Renji kicked a thug down and followed them, "Asuka, be careful!"
"We need to find the key!" Asuka shouted and dashed onward and upward as more thugs appeared to stop them.
