As the group continue on, looking around their surroundings, the see an elderly man, a teenage girl, and a young boy.

The man sees them, approaches them and said, "Hello strangers. My name is Kor. May I help..."

Jak interrupted him, and said, "You look like a reasonably smart man," He grabs Kor, and demands, "I want information!" he lets go of Kor, waves his arm, and said, "Where the heck are we?"

Daxter soon said to the girl and boy, "Ahh... Sorry. He's new to the whole conversation thing."

"I can see that," said the girl.

Kor soon replied while brushing his robes, "Well, my angry young friend, you and your friends are 'guests' of his 'majesty' Baron Praxis," he moves his cane as he continues, "the ruler of 'glorious' Haven City."

Jak soon said, "My friend Crash and I were just 'guests' in the good Baron's prison."

Kor soon said, "Inside a cell, or inside the city... walls surround us both," he shook his head, and said, "We are all his prisoners."

"Uh, uncle," said the girl in concern.

Kor turns, and said while being scared, "Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time," he looks as Krimzon Guards were heading this way, as he said while waving, "I'd move on, if I were you."

The guard in front of the other guards soon said, "By order of his eminence, the Grand Protector of Haven City, Baron Praxis. Everyone in this section is hereby under arrest for suspicion of harboring underground fugitives. Surrender and die!"

"Ahhhh, excuse me sir," Daxter said, while getting the attention of the guard as he asked, "don't you mean surrender," he then jumps and glares at him as he continues, "OR die!?"

"Not in this city!" Kor replied, while backing away, and then said, "Protect us from these guards, and I'll introduce you to someone who can help all of you!" Jak then glares at the guards, ready to fight.

Aku Aku soon said, "Ripper Roo, I suggest you protect the three as well," Ripper Roo nodded, and went with the trio they met.

Jak and Crash soon began fighting the guards, but then Jak began to change into a monster again, and once all the guards were killed, Jak turned back to normal.

Daxter looked at his friend, and said, "That was cool! Do it again!"

Jak felt this problem, and was cringing, as he said, "Something's happening to me... Something Praxis did... I can't... control it." Crash and Aku Aku were feeling concerned.

Kor soon said, "Very impressive."

"Ehh, you okay Jak?" Daxter asked being concerned as well.

Jak soon felt normal a bit, as Kor continued, "What you two did was very brave," he looks at the girl and the kid, as he said, "My niece, Jing, and this child are important."

Daxter looks at the girl, Jing, and said, "I know the girl might be something," but then points the kid, who flinches when Daxter points at him while he asked, "But this kid? He looks kinda... scruffy"

Suddenly another flew down a bit on a vehicle and said, "You are in a restricted zone. Move along!" he then flies away.

Kor soon said, "Thank you for all your help, but I must get Jing and this boy to safety."

Daxter soon said, "Hey! What about us?"

Jing soon said, "Oh yeah, well, uncle will explain it."

Kor said, "Thanks Jing," he looks at the group, and said, "There is an underground group waging war against Baron Praxis. It's leaders, the Shadows, could use fighters like the young man and the bandicoot! Go to the Slums. Find a dead-end alley near the city wall!" he, along with Jing and the kid soon began to move as he continues, "Ask for Torn. He can help all of you."

The group notice a vehicle laying nearby, Jak then jumps into it, along with the others, this caused the communicator to appear, and the voice from the fortress soon said, "Welcome to the city transportation system. You can hover in one or two zones: low and high. Try switching hover zones." Jak swapped some hover zones, causing the computer to say, "Switching hover zones may help avoid traffic or ground obstacles." Jak followed Kor's directions, and were near the destination, then made it to the area.

There they meet three individuals, one soon noticed them, and said, "Okay civilians, what are you doing-" she stops herself, looks at them, and asked in shock, "Crash, Jak, Daxter, Aku Aku, Ripper Roo, is that really you guys?"

Aku Aku soon said, "Tawna, it is great that we found you along with Ripper Roo, who we saved from what we believed was Cortex, who is still alive."

Tawna was shocked about this, but shook her head, while the young blonde girl soon gave them a scowl, causing Tawna to say, "Easy, these guys are friends are mine," she soon looks at them, and asked, "Despite this shocking news, what are you guys doing here?"

Jak soon replied, "We're looking for a guy named Torn. Kor sunt us," soon the third individual, who is a man with tattoos and red hair approaches them, and leans at Jak, as he asked, "Um... are you... Torn?"

Daxter soon said, "Maybe this guy's a mute, like you used to be, Jak..."

The man, Torn, replied, "New faces make me nervous," he soon put his hands behind his back, and said, "Word is you're all out to join the fight for the city, he then walks around them, and said, "You know, picking the wrong side could be..." he leans at Jak, and said, "unhealthy."

"We want to see the Shadows," Jak demands.

Torn chuckles a bit, and said, "Not likely. If you want to join something, why don't you, your mask and your pets go join the circus?" Daxter soon shook his head and was about to talk back at Torn, until he soon said, "Unless you and your bandicoot have the fur," he pulls out his dagger feels his blade as he continues, "for a really tough task?" Daxter soon was scared at that, while the man continues, "Steal the Baron's banner on top of the Ruined Tower in Dead Town and bring it back to me. Then maybe we'll talk," he then tosses the dagger, which spins then he catches it by the handle.

Tawna soon said, "What about Ripper Roo?"

Torn replied, "I'll give him another task as well."

The group soon went off to Dead Town, hitting by accident some civilians, and avoiding the guards. They soon reached Dead Town, which was a desolate ruined place, Aku Aku soon said, "This must've been once a great location, whatever caused this must've been a really bad person."

Jak soon said, "I bet it might've been Praxis."

Soon they notice some strange creatures called glubs moving towards them, but Jak and Crash took care of them, while Crash broke some crates along the way as well. They even soon noticed an orange creature called a znorkle tooth, which Jak and Crash took out as well. After the took out a hoard of glubs the soon reached the tower, but quickly reached towards it for the path they were walking on began to crumble from beneath them. The began to ascend the tower, which also had stone that crumbled there as well, which during this, Crash breaks crates as well eventually they reached the top, which Crash broke enough to get a Power Gem, and the notice the banner Torn told them about, and next to it was a Power Crystal. Crash collects the Power Crystal, while Jak gets the banner. Jak soon picks it up, while Daxter was getting ready to perform a dance, but once Jak taps the banner on the ground, it crumbled, and the group soon fell down, with the exception of Daxter, who was trying to run on air, but fell down screaming behind them. Jak and Crash soon bounced on an awning like a trampoline, with Daxter following suit, then grinding on some cable, while Daxter landed between his legs in pain. Soon Jak, Crash right in front of Torn with Aku Aku floating to them and Daxter faceplanting to the ground. Then the tower crumbled down to the murky water, then sinking down as well.

Torn gapes at that, and said, "Yeah," he puts his hands on his hips, and said, "I guess you guys are in."

The group then went off to go back to Haven City, and their new times working in the Underground.

Sorry as usual that I took too long, but had other stuff on my mind, but anyway, Jak, Crash, and their group helped out Kor, reunited with Tawna, and are now initiated to the Underground.
