Chapter 54: All Out War
"Getsuga Tensho!" Mugen shredded through a handful of soldiers with his flying slash as he ran across the battlefield. He dodged arrows and cut down soldiers as he tried to remain with the Shandian warriors.
He saw Calgara cut down soldiers with his spear and more explosions rocked the jungle. Mugen cleaved through a soldier and clashed blades with another; they leapt around and Mugen slashed him across the throat. An arrow pierced into Mugen's left thigh and he gritted his teeth as he yanked it out.
Bolts of lightning zipped around the jungle as screams and small fires began spreading. Azuma dashed through the jungle and zapped warriors with his gold scepter, laughing as he went. He spotted Mugen and aimed his scepter as a powerful bolt of lightning began charging.
Mugen glanced to his left and watched as a powerful blast of lightning bulleted at him. Calgara appeared in front of Mugen and absorbed the bolt into a Thunder Dial! Shuhei dashed at Azuma and barraged a flurry of punches that the Priest easily evaded.
"Thanks for the assist." Mugen said with a smile.
"No prob-" Mugen tackled Calgara mid sentence as a long black iron blade swung over them.
Kita dashed at the duo as his blade shortened and he swung downward at Calgara. Mugen clashed blades with Kita and pushed him away from the two of them.
Calgara dashed forward and Mugen stopped him, "I got this guy."
"Understood." Calgara said and dashed off into the surrounding battle.
"I was hoping I'd see you again." Kita said and chuckled.
Mugen Shaved behind Kita and swung his sword horizontally at his back. Kita sprang up and dodged the slash as he slammed a swift kick into the side of Mugen's head. They clashed blades again and Kita reacted to Mugen's moves before he made them, slashing Mugen across the chest and kicking him back.
Bulma spun her baton around as wind blew from both ends. She twirled around and conjured a tornado that twisted into the mass of soldiers. They screamed as they were pulled off their feet and sent flying through the jungle.
Captain Fowler aimed a Thunder Dial and shot a bolt of lightning that Bulma deflected with her baton. Soldiers shot arrows that she blasted away with a gust of wind as she skipped away from Fowler. Nail stumbled beside Bulma and massaged his destroyed arm as another limb grew from the wound!
"You damn Demons!" Fowler shouted at Nail as more soldiers came running up.
A group of Shandian warriors appeared and attacked the soldiers from behind. Bulma skipped forward and hurled a Thunderball that Fowler absorbed into a Thunder Dial. The tornado exploded into an unrelenting force of wind that sent soldiers falling to the ground.
Nail hurled a Ki blast that Fowler dodged and he blasted a bolt of lightning that Bulma dodged as she ran around. She spun her baton as cold and hot air bubbles littered the battlefield, exploding when the blue and red bubbles made contact.
Fowler propelled himself at Nail and slammed an Impact Dial into his chest! Nail was blasted back and Bulma sent a blast of wind that sent Fowler staggering to the left. An arrow pierced Bulma in the lower back and she gasped in pain as she stumbled forward.
A Shandian blasted a group of marines with her Burn Bazooka as Bulma broke the shaft of the arrow in her back and charged forward. Fowler propelled himself forward and used a Flash Dial to blind Bulma!
She stopped and raised her baton to try and block an attack as Fowler shot her in the stomach with a bolt of lightning. Bulma staggered back and Fowler slammed a heavy punch into her right cheek. She dropped to the ground and rubbed her eyes as her vision returned.
Fowler lifted his right foot up and moved to stomp on Bulma's head when Nail struck him in the back with a small Ki blast. It exploded and sent Fowler flying into a tree. Bulma rolled over and slowly stood up as more explosions rocked the area.
Bulma's hands trembled as she gripped her Climate Baton. She took slow and deep breaths as she watched Fowler stand up and glare at her. This one's on me… I can't rely on the guys to come save me from this fight. But, it's time to prove that I don't always need help!
Saishi blasted 'X' shaped blades at air that Yasui dodged as he sped around on his wheels. Yasui sped at Saishi and threw a swift kick that the large man easily avoided. Saishi lunged forward and slammed a heavy punch into Yasui's forehead.
Yasui spun around quickly and struck Saishi in the side with a powerful kick and they exchanged a mad flurry of blows. Saishi absorbed the impact of one of Yasui's kicks into an Impact Dial and struck Yasui in the chin with a quick jab.
They exchanged blows again and Saishi shot more 'X' shaped wind blades that sliced into Yasui's side as he leapt around. Yasui grabbed his left side and ducked under a high kick from Saishi. Yasui spun around quickly and struck a swift kick into Saishi's left knee.
Saishi cried out in pain and struck Yasui in the top of the head with a heavy punch. Yasui slumped down as Saishi brought his knee up and struck Yasui in the left cheek.
Saishi lunged down and slammed Yasui in the stomach with his Impact Dial! "There's your kick right back at ya! Ka ka ka ka ka." He chuckled as he reached down and picked Yasui up by his collar.
Yasui grinned as he held a strange bright red Dial at Saishi. "Here's my kick back at you ten times!" He slammed the Reject Dial into Saishi's chest and blasted him back savagely as the impact struck him. The recoil from the Reject Dial rocked Yasui's left arm, fracturing his bones and ripping his muscles.
Saishi was sent flying back as Yasui fell to his feet and stumbled around. He tucked the Reject Dial into his satchel as he grabbed his swelling arm and winced. Saishi slowly stood up and coughed blood as he stumbled around sloppily.
"That was dirty…" Saishi rasped as he approached Yasui.
"This is war, shit happens." Yasui said and glared at the large man.
Saishi lunged forward and slammed a kick into Yasui's left arm. He cried out in pain and grabbed his arm as he ducked under a wide punch. Yasui spun around quickly on his wheels and slammed a heavy kick into Saishi's chin.
"Ka ka ka ka ka! You gotta do better than that!" Saishi screamed as he blasted a barrage of 'X' shaped wind blades at Yasui.
"You little shit!" Azuma shouted as he blasted bolts of lightning that Shuhei dodged.
Shuhei Shaved behind Azuma and sent a flurry of Finger Pistols that the Priest blocked with his scepter. They exchanged a flurry of blows and Azuma kicked Shuhei in the chest, sending him stumbling back.
Azuma shot a bolt of lightning that Shuhei ducked under and they lunged at each other. They exchanged a mad flurry of blows and Shuhei struck Azuma in the nose with a heavy punch. Azuma jabbed his scepter into Shuhei's gut and zapped him, Shuhei gritted his teeth and rocked the Priest back with a wicked uppercut.
Shuhei used the Afterimage as he Shaved and the Priest lunged at the mirage. Shuhei appeared behind Azuma and jabbed him twice in the back with Finger Pistols. Azuma leapt away from Shuhei and sent three bolts of lightning flying at him. Shuhei dodged the bolts and charged forward.
The two of them clashed and exchanged quick blows as warriors and soldiers fought all around them. Shuhei spotted Mugen clashing blades with the other Priest as he dodged a kick from Azuma and he leapt back.
Shuhei panted and cracked his neck as Azuma aimed his scepter at him. The Priest smiled and shot a bolt of lightning that Shuhei dodged. As he evaded the bolt, Azuma propelled himself forward with his boots and struck Shuhei in the chest with a savage kick.
"Gah!" Shuhei staggered back and coughed blood as Azuma lunged forward and jabbed him in the chest with his scepter, electrocuting him.
Shuhei gritted his teeth and pushed through the pain as he slammed a powerful punch into Azuma's head. The Priest staggered back and Shuhei noticed a faint black sheen disappearing from his fist.
"Where's your magic trick, huh?" Azuma chuckled as he aimed a finger gun at Shuhei. "What you're throwing my way now isn't enough to take me down."
Shuhei used the Afterimage again as he Shaved and he appeared in front of Azuma. The Priest moved to block but moved too slow as Shuhei slammed a heavy punch into his gut. Azuma stumbled back and shot a bolt of lightning that struck Shuhei in the side.
Both of them steadied themselves and lunged at each other, clashing savagely.
Renji swung his staff at Minami's feet and she leapt away as he shot a bolt of lightning from her Thunder Dial. He evaded the bolt and hurled chains that Minami blasted away with a Jet Dial.
"Those Dials are really annoying." Renji muttered as he twirled his staff around.
Minami smirked and winked at Renji as she aimed two Ax Dials that blasted 'X' shaped wind blades that bulleted forward. Renji dashed forward and spun between the wind blades and struck Minami in the shoulder with his staff.
They exchanged blows and a wave of fire erupted from Minami's Flame Dial, igniting Renji's already scorched cloak. He ripped the burning garb off of his shoulders and let it blow away in the breeze. He cracked his neck and swung his staff horizontally at Minami, "Power Pole, get longer!"
Minami leapt in the air and propelled herself forward with her boots as Renji spun around and sent a Tempest Kick flying up at her. She reacted quickly and absorbed the impact into an Impact Dial as she zoomed at Renji.
He leapt away and hurled chains at her as his staff retracted. Minami avoided the chains and shot another wind blade that Renji avoided with Paper Act. Renji grinned and twirled his staff as Minami landed on her feet and shot a blast of lightning at him.
Renji Shaved around and slammed a heavy punch into Minami's chest and she stumbled back. She grabbed her left breast and glared at Renji as he skipped back and shot four Flying Finger Pistols at her.
Minami flew into the air and propelled herself at Renji as she blasted waves of water down with Water Dials as she shot a bolt of lightning with her Thunder Dial. Renji vaulted in the air with his Power Pole and attached chains to the branch of the tree as the electric torrent of water erupted all around.
Renji swayed with the wind as he sensed around for Minami as the water spread out and was soaked into the surrounding soil. He released himself from his chains and dropped from the branch as Minami came flying at him.
She sent a barrage of 'X' shaped wind blades that ripped into the ground as Renji dashed around. Renji sent a Tempest Kick flying up at Minami as she propelled herself through the air, she spun around the flying slash and slammed a powerful punch into his chest.
Soldiers came charging toward the ruined city as the Shandian warriors fired arrows and Burn Bazookas at them. Zika and Hama bounded forward and slammed into the charging soldiers with powerful strikes. They bounced between the soldiers as they struck them down with their Fang Over Fang.
Burn Bazookas blasted around and incinerated soldiers as Zika and Hama struck into them. Zika ducked beneath three arrows and sent a swift kick into a soldier's head. He spun around and hurled shuriken that ripped into passing soldiers as they clashed with nearby warriors.
Hama leapt up and spun around as he slammed into a soldier with a Single Fang Strike. Zika moved quickly and barraged swift punches as he beat through soldiers, "Wolf Fang Fist!"
Explosions rocked the area as more soldiers charged passed the treeline. Zika struck down a soldier with a swift kick and hurled kunai at the approaching soldiers.
"Oh ho ho ho!" Nishi appeared suddenly and hit Zika in the chest with a palm strike, a sudden force blasting through his palm and sending Zika staggering back.
"Gah!" Zika ducked beneath a high kick and skipped back as he hurled shuriken at the round man.
Nishi bounced around and evaded the shuriken as large balls of fluffy white clouds popped out of his hands. The cloud balls began floating around the ruined city as the soldiers and warriors clashed violently. Zika stared as a cloud ball floated toward him and suddenly exploded, shuriken and kunai erupting in all directions as the cloud dissipated.
Zika leapt around evading the projectiles as Hama bounded forward and leapt at Nishi with a Single Fang Strike. Nishi bounced up above Hama and slammed a heavy kick into his side. Hama whined as he struck the ground and got up quickly.
More of the cloud balls exploded, some hurling projectiles and others erupting with flames for lightning. A kunai pierced Zika in the side and a bolt of lightning struck him in the back as the cloud balls popped all around.
"Oh ho ho ho!" Nishi cackled as he bounced around and created more cloud balls.
"C'mon boy, we've gotta beat this guy." Zika said and Hama barked confidently.
Zika pulled two Demon Wind shuriken from his back and hurled them both at Nishi as Hama bounded forward and attacked with a Single Fang Strike. Nishi bounced around and dodged the large shuriken and blocked Hama as he slammed into him.
Nishi caught Hama and threw him at Zika as he charged forward. Zika caught Hama as more cloud balls exploded and projectiles flew around as flames licked at Zika's legs. Nishi cackled and bounced at Zika, he lunged forward and slammed another palm strike into Zika's chest. Zika was blasted back hard but he remained on his feet and held on to Hama.
Zika set Hama down and coughed up blood into the dirt. He wiped his mouth and took deep breaths as Nishi bounced around happily. More and more clouds exploded, lightning bolts and flames shooting all around the ruined city.
Zika and Hama bounded forward and launched at Nishi with their Fang Over Fang. The Priest evaded the initial strikes and the duo bounced around rapidly as they continued their barrage at him. Nishi leapt around quickly as he dodged and lunged at Zika.
Nishi lunged forward with a palm strike and Zika twisted around quickly, evading Nishi's palm and slamming into his chest as Hama slammed into his back, "Fang Over Fang!"
