Chapter 56: Blitz!
Northern Upper Yard:
Mugen ducked beneath the elongated black blade and dodged an electric slash from the gold blade. Kita skipped forward and swung his swords fiercely as Mugen quickly dodged out of the way. They clashed blades roughly and Kita slammed his left foot into Mugen's stomach.
"Gah!" Mugen coughed as he stumbled back and he ducked beneath the blades as Kita lunged at him.
Kita swung both of his blades horizontally and Mugen flipped between the slashes. Mugen spun around and swung his sword upward as he landed on his feet, his blade tore through Kita's chest and the Priest skipped back.
Mugen grinned and he felt heat emanating from his sword as he spun it around. "You're the perfect person to help me train."
"Eh? You think this is training?" Kita furrowed his brow and swung his golden sword as he hurled an electric slash at Mugen.
"Ha!" Mugen shouted as he swung Fantoma upwards and the blade ignited as a wave of flames deflected the electric slash.
Kita skipped back as he avoided the flames, "Fire and Ice?!"
Mugen Shaved beside Kita and the two of them savagely collided their blades as they leapt around. Kita swung his blades quickly but Mugen moved faster and faster as the seconds passed. Mugen spun his sword around and cleaved Kita's left arm off at the elbow!
"Agh!" Kita stumbled back as his arm was cauterized by Mugen's red-hot blade.
Mugen grinned and pointed his sword at Kita, "Thrust!" He quickly thrusted his sword forward and a bolt of fiery air flew into Kita's chest!
Kita screamed and staggered around as he dropped his sword and grabbed the wound on his chest, "I'm dead…" He fell face first and hit the ground hard as his life slipped away.
Mugen spun his sword around and smiled as he sheathed his sword onto his back. He cracked his neck and sighed, "Where to?"
Central Upper Yard;
God Gin flew around and blasted Shandian warriors around with powerful gusts of wind. Calgara leapt into the air and thrust his spear at Gin as he flew by. Gin caught the spear with one hand and blasted Calgara away with the wave of the other.
Zika and Hama dashed across the ruined city as God Gin sent jet streams down at fleeing warriors. Zika hurled three giant shuriken that Gin deflected with a gust of wind.
God Gin stared down and smiled as he saw Zika and Hama, "Ah! The Blue Sea Monkey with the dog!"
"Huh?!" Zika stared up at Gin as he levitated in the air.
Calgara walked up beside Zika, "Projectiles are impractical against this asshole."
God Gin bulleted down through the air and sent a powerful blast of wind that sent Calgara, Zika and Hama stumbling back. Gin appeared behind them and slammed a heavy kick into the side of Calgara's head!
Zika spun around and sent a heavy kick that Gin ducked under as he waved his arm, a blast of wind sent Zika flying back. Hama lunged forward and Gin caught him by the throat.
Hama whimpered and God Gin slowly shook his head, "Bad dog." He threw Hama up and sent a powerful jet stream that sent the dog speeding high into the sky.
Zika Shaved forward and barraged Gin in the chest with his Wolf Fang Fist. Gin stumbled back and smiled as Zika lunged forward and unleashed a flurry of furious fists that God Gin easily evaded.
God Gin leapt in the air and struck Zika in the face with a powerful kick. Zika skipped across the ground four times and crashed into the pyramid. Leslie appeared and blasted her Burn Bazooka, the beam of fire struck a tree as God Gin flew up into the air.
Puck propelled himself through the air and lunged at God Gin with his spear. Gin spun around Puck and sent him crashing into the ground with a blast of wind.
"Ha ha ha ha ha!" Gin avoided another blast from Leslie's Burn Bazooka and sped at her.
God Farin rode Barnum through the air as Hama sat on the back of the moch pegasus. Gin moved to dodge the old man and his horse and God Farin leapt off of Barnum and thrust his lance into Gin's chest!
Gin flipped through the air and landed on his feet as God Farin dropped after him. They exchanged swift blows and Barnum landed beside Zika and Hama as the two Gods collided.
Zika stood up slowly as Hama jumped off of Barnum's back and barked quietly. Zika patted Hama on the head and they dashed forward toward the Gods. Gin flew into the air and Hama leapt up, launching off of Zika's back as he bulleted into Gin's side with a Single Fang Strike!
God Gin blasted Hama away and flew through the air quickly as he evaded a hail of kunai and shuriken from Zika. God Farin propelled himself through the air after Gin and they exchanged a flurry of blows as they flew around.
Leslie aimed and fired her Burn Bazooka, Gin deflected the beam at Zika and Hama with a powerful burst of wind. The beam of fire exploded as it hit the ground and sent Zika and Hama stumbling back.
God Farin lunged forward with his lance and God Gin blasted him back with a powerful gale of wind. As Farin tried to steady himself, Gin flew at him and struck him in the chest with a savage kick.
Another beam of fire was blasted at Gin and he deflected it back at Leslie! The beam erupted as it struck her and blew her away. God Farin flew through the air and used a Flash Dial to hit Gin with an intense blinding light.
God Farin's lance was super heated by the Heat Dial in the hilt and he thrust his red hot weapon at his rival God. Gin used Mantra to sense the attack and he spun around in the air to evade it. God Gin spun behind Farin and struck him point blank in the back with an intense gale of wind.
Blood sputtered from Farin's mouth as he fell through the air and crashed into the ground, "God Farin!" Puck shouted as he got back up to his feet.
"Ha ha ha!" God Gin laughed menacingly as he hovered in the air above the ruined city. He turned his attention back to Zika and Hama, he grinned as he flew toward them.
There was a sudden flash of gold as Bulma zoomed up on the Flying Nimbus and hit God Gin with a powerful blast of wind. She came to a stop beside Zika and glared at Gin as he flipped through the air and steadied himself.
"Hm..? That's an interesting weapon you have there, Blue Sea Monkey…" God Gin muttered as he stared at Bulma. He raised his left hand and intense winds began to swirl around the ruined city.
"He can control wind currents." Zika said and cracked his neck.
"So can I." Bulma replied with a smile as she began to spin her baton around in her hands.
A wicked spherical tornado appeared above Gin's left hand and he hurled the wind ball down at the group of them. Bulma conjured a flat swirling vortex of wind that shot upward and collided with Gin's wind ball. Bulma's wind vortex twisted the wind ball, shooting it directly up into the sky.
Bulma zoomed through the air on the nimbus and hurled a series of Thunderballs that God Gin easily avoided as he flew around. Gin spun around quickly in the air and created a tornado that Bulma dispersed with a sharp blast of wind.
God Gin smirked and flew at Bulma, he dodged another Thunderball and caught a giant shuriken that Zika threw at him. Gin flew at Bulma and slashed her across the stomach with the giant shuriken.
Bulma cried out as the nimbus zoomed away and Gin hurled the shuriken after her and she deflected it with a gust of wind.
"More interruptions, hm?" God Gin raised an eyebrow and looked over his shoulder as Renji arrived at the ruined city and dashed to meet up with Zika and Hama.
Bulma conjured storm clouds and spread them across the sky as Gin aimed his right hand down and sent an intense blast of wind at Renji.
Renji sensed the attack and Shaved around, coming to a stop beside Zika. "Looks like I made it in time to fight this asshole."
"It's not as easy as it sounds." Zika said and Hama whined.
God Gin looked up at the storm clouds and blasted a hole through the mass of them with a blast of wind. Bulma hurled a Thunderball at Gin and bolts of lightning blasted down around it from the remaining storm clouds.
Dodging the lightning bolts, Gin flew through the air at Bulma and suddenly stopped. A platinum chain was wrapped around his right leg and he was yanked back with a powerful tug on the chain.
Gin hurtled down at the ground as Zika and Hama leapt around trees and structures rapidly. Renji leapt in the air to avoid a blast of wind as Zika and Hama slammed into either side of God Gin, "Fang Over Fang!"
Power Pole, extend!" Renji spun his staff around in the air as it elongated and swung it down at Gin. The staff smacked into the top of Gin's head and he fell to the ground in an awkward stumble.
Renji, Zika and Hama landed around Gin as he shook the chain off of his ankle. "That was a good one… Lost my cool for a second." Gin Grinned and quickly flew up into the air as bolts of lightning struck where he had been standing.
Zika and Hama were struck by a powerful blast of wind that sent them crashing into the ground as Renji Shaved away. Renji used his elongated Power Pole to vault up in the air and he swung his staff swiftly.
Bulma zoomed at God Gin as he dodged Renji's staff and she sent a blast of wind at him. Gin deflected the blast of wind and exchanged blows with Renji before sending him flying with a gale of wind.
God Gin spun through the air and hit Bulma in the side with a blast of wind that rocked her off of the Flying Nimbus. With the wave of his hand, he blew the Flying Nimbus apart with a wind blast.
Renji caught Bulma as she fell and steadied them both on the ground as God Gin flew around the air. Renji sighed and spun his staff around as he thought of a plan.
"The nimbus will need a bit to reform itself. We're stuck on the ground for now." Bulma said and bit her lip.
Renji grinned and dashed forward as Gin flew down at the two of them. He hurled eight diamond chains with bladed tips up at Gin and controlled them as he dodged the chains. Bulma hurled a series of Thunderballs and Gin summoned an incredible wind torrent that deflected everything around him.
Yasui and Shuhei came running into the ruined city from opposite directions and stared up at God Gin as they rushed to join the others. God Gin looked around at the Blue Sea Dwellers and tried to gauge them all.
The boy and his dog were currently lying still on the ground, out of commission for now. The girl isn't necessarily strong but has unique abilities almost on par with Gin's. The boy with the staff appears to be very capable and will prove difficult to handle.
Both newcomers appear to have been roughed up during the battle. The black haired boy feels dangerous and brimming with confidence. The brown haired boy with wheels where his feet should be appeared to be heavily injured, his left arm nearly destroyed.
"Which of you is the leader?" God Gin called down to the group of them.
"He isn't here yet!" Renji shouted back with a smile.
"What's the plan?" Yasui asked.
"Bulma, go check on Zika and Hama. Make sure they're okay." Renji said quickly.
"Got it!" She dashed off.
"Shuhei, Yasui. The three of us are gonna take this guy on for as long as we can." Renji added.
"Right!" Shuhei and Yasui shouted in unison.
God Gin flew down through the air and sent a gale of wind that the trio dodged. Shuhei shot Flying Finger Pistols as Renji hurled chains. God Gin dodged their attacks and hurled a blast of wind that Yasui absorbed into an Ax Dial.
Shuhei and Renji leapt into the air and Gin sent them flying back with a blast of wind. Yasui fired his Ax Dial at Gin and he deflected the 'X' shaped wind blade and grinned as he hurled his own wind blades down.
Yasui sped around on his wheels as he dodged between the wind blades and he absorbed another blast of wind into the Ax Dial. Renji skipped forward and swiftly swung his elongated staff. As Gin dodged the staff, Shuhei appeared in the air behind him and fired his Spirit Gun at him!
"A Ki blast?!" Gin spun his left arm quickly and a miniature tornado appeared around his forearm and fist, "Tornado Punch!" He slammed his fist into the Spirit Gun blast and sent it flying down at Renji and Yasui.
"Shit!" Shuhei shouted.
"There's no use throwing or shooting things at me! It's like sayin, 'Here, do whatever you want with 'em, Gin'! Ha ha ha ha!" Gin slapped his knee and looked at Renji and Yasui, both unscathed. "Nothing went boom, huh?"
Shuhei landed on the ground and glared up at Gin. He shot more Flying Finger Pistols that Gin dodged as Renji hurled chains up after him. Gin blasted the chains away with wind and Shuhei leapt up into the air after him.
The two of them exchanged a mad flurry of blows as Yasui turned his entire body into a wheel and sped across the ground. He zoomed toward the pyramid and kicked off of the first step, propelling himself into the air.
God Gin slammed a savage kick into Shuhei's side and sent him crashing into the ground. Yasui flew through the air as a large spinning wheel and Gin spun around him, barely dodging the blow.
Renji hurled chains and wrapped them around Yasui as he flew through the air, he spun and yanked on the chain as he redirected the attack back at God Gin. "Combination attack!" Yasui and Renji shouted in unison, "Human Yo-Yo!" Yasui slammed into Gin and sent him crashing into the top of the pyramid!
Yasui turned back to his normal form and threw up on the ground as dizziness hit him hard.
"That was awesome!" Shuhei exclaimed.
"I don't think it did the trick though." Renji said as he peered at the pyramid with his third eye, gazing through his torn blindfold.
Intense wind currents began swirling around the ruined city and trees shook violently. God Gin flew up into the air and hurled powerful gales of wind down at the trio. Shuehi grabbed Yasui and Shaved one direction as Renji dashed off in the other direction.
Gin looked over at Bulma as she roused Zika and Hama. Zika slowly got up to his feet and Gin hurled a massive wind blast down at them. Bulma spun around quickly and absorbed the blast into her Climate Baton!
Renji vaulted up into the air and Gin spun his right arm quickly. Renji swung his elongated staff at Gin as he spun around and slammed a Tornado Fist into Renji's chest. He was blasted back and spun through the air rapidly as he crashed into a tree.
Yasui steadied himself and stood beside Shuhei as they stared up at Gin. "Are you for real?" Shuehi asked.
Yasui nodded, "Yeah."
"Then, we have a secret weapon." Shuhei said with a grin.
Bulma, Zika and Hama dashed toward God Gin and so did Shuhei and Yasui. Gin watched as they charged at him and he chuckled to himself. Zika and Hama leapt into the air and Bulma propelled them up at Gin with a blast of wind. They spun around and zoomed at him with their Fang Over Fang.
At the same time, Yasui spun around as Shuhei leapt up and he shot him into the air with a heavy kick. God Gin sent Zika and Hama flying to the side with a blast of wind and Shuhei flew at Gin from behind. Shuhei grappled himself around Gin and laughed as they flew awkwardly through the air.
The Flying Nimbus reformed and Bulma leapt onto it, zooming through the air after Gin and Shuhei. Gin struggled hard to shake Shuhei off of him as Bulma zoomed at them and struck them both with a Thunderball!
Gin gritted his teeth as Shuehi let go of him and he dropped down to the ground as Bulma flew around.
"Ow, that hurt!" Shuhei yelled at Bulma.
"I knew you could take it!" Bulma called back at him.
Gin flew through the air after Bulma and hurled several wind blades at her, "Wind Scythes!"
"Getsuga Tensho!" A solid blue blade of energy shredded through the wind blades and Bulma flew away from Gin and returned to the others.
Gin stared down as yet another Blue Sea Monkey arrived in the ruined city. This boy had pale skin and a black afro that blew with the wind. He wielded a sword which emanated unusual power.
"Ah, this must be their leader." Gin muttered to himself.
Renji and Mugen walked over to Shuhei, Yasui, Bulma, Zika and Hama. The group of them stared up at Gin and watched as he quietly hovered in the air.
"Fighting God without me?" Mugen asked with a grin.
"Not by choice." Zika muttered.
"We're here anyway." Shuhei said.
"Where's Asuka?" Mugen asked.
"Who knows."
"Well, it's up to us now." Mugen said and spun his sword around in his hand.
Mugen leapt onto the back of the nimbus and Bulma sped off toward Gin. Renji wrapped chains around Zika and Hama and hurled them up into the air as they twisted around rapidly.
"Same old tricks." Gin waved his left arm and sent a blast of wind at Bulma and Mugen on the nimbus.
"Wind Scar!" Mugen swung his sword down and split the blast of wind as they flew forward.
Zika and Hama bulleted at Gin with their Fang Over Fang and he sent them flying toward the ground with a powerful blast of wind. Bulma hurled a Thunderball that Gin deflected and Mugen hurled a Getsuga Tensho at him.
God Gin spun around and flew away as he dodged and Shuhei barraged Flying Finger Pistols up at him. Mugen leapt from the nimbus and Gin sent him flying back as he evaded Shuhei's attacks.
Renji vaulted up with his elongated staff and used chains to grab Yasui and throw him at Gin. Gin deflected a Thunderball and it struck Renji as he flew through the air. Yasui flew forward and Gin slammed a swift kick into his stomach!
"Agh!" Yasui coughed and swung his Reject Dial at Gin but missed as he was sent flying back by a jet stream of wind.
Yasui hit the ground hard and Renji ran over to him. "This guy is annoying."
Mugen and Shuhei dashed forward and sprang high up into the air. Mugen hurled a wave of ice as Shuhei barraged Flying Finger Pistols with both hands. God Gin flew directly up and slammed the two of them down to the ground with a heavy current of wind.
Bulma zoomed at Gin from behind as Renji vaulted up at him. Gin hurled Wind Scythes that Renji deflected with his Power Pole and Bulma lunged at Gin with her Climate Baton.
"Impact Tempo!" Bulma released the impact from the wind ball she had absorbed and Gin kicked her arm and caused Bulma to hit herself with the blow!
Bulma was sent flying as Renji hurled chains that wrapped around Gin's left forearm. Renji yanked himself closer to Gin and used Iron Body as he slammed into him. They flipped through the air and Gin slammed Renji down into the ground!
Shuhei leapt into the air as Gin ripped the chains from his arm. The two of them exchanged a flurry of blows and Gin sent Shuhei flying with a powerful kick. Mugen appeared in the air and slashed Gin up the side with a swift swing of his sword.
Gin spun his arm around quickly and slammed a Tornado Punch into Mugen's stomach and sent him crashing into the ground.
"Ha ha ha ha ha!" Gin laughed as he hovered in the air and looked down at the beaten and bloodied Blue Sea Dwellers.
There was a sudden crash from the base of the pyramid as a set of ancient stone doors exploded into a hail of dust and rubble. Asuka walked slowly from the haze of dust and dropped a torch onto a pile of rocks.
Asuka looked around the ruined city at his beaten up friends and then up to God Gin. He glared at the self proclaimed God and cracked his knuckles.
